1. അനന്തരം യഹോവ നോഹയോടു കല്പിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാല്നീയും സര്വ്വകുടുംബവുമായി പെട്ടകത്തില് കടക്ക; ഞാന് നിന്നെ ഈ തലമുറയില് എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നീതിമാനായി കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
എബ്രായർ 11:7

1. The LORD then said to Noah, 'Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.

2. ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള സകലമൃഗങ്ങളില്നിന്നും ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി ഏഴേഴും, ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത മൃഗങ്ങളില്നിന്നു ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി ഈരണ്ടും,

2. Take with you seven of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate,

3. ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകളില്നിന്നു പൂവനും പിടയുമായി ഏഴേഴും, ഭൂമിയിലൊക്കെയും സന്തതി ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ ചേര്ത്തുകൊള്ളേണം.

3. and also seven of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth.

4. ഇനി ഏഴുദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഞാന് ഭൂമിയില് നാല്പതു രാവും നാല്പതു പകലും മഴ പെയ്യിക്കും; ഞാന് ഉണ്ടാക്കീട്ടുള്ള സകല ജീവജാലങ്ങളെയും ഭൂമിയില്നിന്നു നശിപ്പിക്കും.

4. Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.'

5. യഹോവ തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും നോഹ ചെയ്തു.

5. And Noah did all that the LORD commanded him.

6. ഭൂമിയില് ജലപ്രളയം ഉണ്ടായപ്പോള് നോഹെക്കു അറുനൂറു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു.

6. Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came on the earth.

7. നോഹയും പുത്രന്മാരും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയും പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഭാര്യമാരും ജലപ്രളയം നിമിത്തം പെട്ടകത്തില് കടന്നു.

7. And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.

8. ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള മൃഗങ്ങളില് നിന്നും ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത മൃഗങ്ങളില്നിന്നും പറവകളില്നിന്നും ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള ഇഴജാതിയില്നിന്നൊക്കെയും,

8. Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures that move along the ground,

9. ദൈവം നോഹയോടു കല്പിച്ചപ്രകാരം ഈരണ്ടീരണ്ടു ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി നോഹയുടെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു പെട്ടകത്തില് കടന്നു.

9. male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah.

10. ഏഴു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം ഭൂമിയില് ജലപ്രളയം തുടങ്ങി.

10. And after the seven days the floodwaters came on the earth.

11. നോഹയുടെ ആയുസ്സിന്റെ അറുനൂറാം സംവത്സരത്തില് രണ്ടാം മാസം പതിനേഴാം തിയ്യതി, അന്നുതന്നേ ആഴിയുടെ ഉറവുകള് ഒക്കെയും പിളര്ന്നു; ആകാശത്തിന്റെ കിളിവാതിലുകളും തുറന്നു.

11. In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, on the seventeenth day of the second month--on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.

12. നാല്പതു രാവും നാല്പതു പകലും ഭൂമിയില് മഴ പെയ്തു.

12. And rain fell on the earth for forty days and forty nights.

13. അന്നുതന്നേ നോഹയും നോഹയുടെ പുത്രന്മാരായ ശേമും ഹാമും യാഫേത്തും നോഹയുടെ ഭാര്യയും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ മൂന്നു ഭാര്യമാരും പെട്ടകത്തില് കടന്നു.

13. On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark.

14. അവരും അതതു തരം കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളും അതതു തരം കന്നുകാലികളും നിലത്തിഴയുന്ന അതതുതരം ഇഴജാതിയും അതതു തരം പറവകളും അതതു തരം പക്ഷികളും തന്നേ.

14. They had with them every wild animal according to its kind, all livestock according to their kinds, every creature that moves along the ground according to its kind and every bird according to its kind, everything with wings.

15. ജീവശ്വാസമുള്ള സര്വ്വജഡത്തില്നിന്നും ഈരണ്ടീരണ്ടു നോഹയുടെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു പെട്ടകത്തില് കടന്നു.

15. Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark.

16. ദൈവം അവനോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അകത്തുകടന്നവ സര്വ്വജഡത്തില്നിന്നും ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി കടന്നു; യഹോവ വാതില് അടെച്ചു.

16. The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in.

17. ഭൂമിയില് നാല്പതു ദിവസം ജലപ്രളയം ഉണ്ടായി, വെള്ളം വര്ദ്ധിച്ചു പെട്ടകം പൊങ്ങി, നിലത്തുനിന്നു ഉയര്ന്നു.

17. For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth.

18. വെള്ളം പൊങ്ങി ഭൂമിയില് ഏറ്റേവും പെരുകി; പെട്ടകം വെള്ളത്തില് ഒഴുകിത്തുടങ്ങി.

18. The waters rose and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.

19. വെള്ളം ഭൂമിയില്അത്യധികം പൊങ്ങി, ആകാശത്തിന് കീഴെങ്ങമുള്ള ഉയര്ന്ന പര്വ്വതങ്ങളൊക്കെയും മൂടിപ്പോയി.

19. They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered.

20. പര്വ്വതങ്ങള് മൂടുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം വെള്ളം പതിനഞ്ചു മുഴം അവേക്കു മീതെ പൊങ്ങി.

20. The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than twenty feet.

21. പറവകളും കന്നുകാലികളും കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളും നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്ന എല്ലാ ഇഴജാതിയുമായി ഭൂചരജഡമൊക്കെയും സകലമനുഷ്യരും ചത്തുപോയി.

21. Every living thing that moved on the earth perished-- birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind.

22. കരയിലുള്ള സകലത്തിലും മൂക്കില് ജീവശ്വാസമുള്ളതൊക്കെയും ചത്തു.

22. Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died.

23. ഭൂമിയില് മനുഷ്യനും മൃഗങ്ങളും ഇഴജാതിയും ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകളുമായി ഭൂമിയില് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന സകലജീവജാലങ്ങളും നശിച്ചുപോയി; അവ ഭൂമിയില്നിന്നു നശിച്ചുപോയി; നോഹയും അവനോടുകൂടെ പെട്ടകത്തില് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നവരും മാത്രം ശേഷിച്ചു.

23. Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; men and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.

24. വെള്ളം ഭൂമിയില് നൂറ്റമ്പതു ദിവസം പൊങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

24. The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days.
