1. ദൈവം നോഹയെയും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവരോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതെന്തന്നാല്നിങ്ങള് സന്താനപുഷ്ടിയുള്ളവരായി പെരുകി ഭൂമിയില് നിറവിന് .

1. God made good come to Noah and his sons, and said to them, 'Have many children, and cover the earth.

2. നിങ്ങളെയുള്ള പേടിയും നടുക്കവും ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലമൃഗങ്ങള്ക്കും ആകാശത്തിലെ എല്ലാ പറവകള്ക്കും സകല ഭൂചരങ്ങള്ക്കും സുമദ്രത്തിലെ സകലമത്സ്യങ്ങള്ക്കും ഉണ്ടാകും; അവയെ നിങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. Every animal of the earth, every bird of the sky, everything that moves on the ground, and all the fish of the sea will be afraid of you. They are given into your hand.

3. ഭൂചരജന്തുക്കളൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ആഹാരം ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ; പച്ച സസ്യംപോലെ ഞാന് സകലവും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

3. Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. I give all to you as I gave you the green plants.

4. But you must not eat meat with blood in it because that is its life.

5. നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാണാനായിരിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്തത്തിന്നു ഞാന് പകരം ചോദിക്കും; സകലമൃഗത്തോടും മനുഷ്യനോടും ചോദിക്കും; അവനവന്റെ സഹോദരനോടും ഞാന് മനുഷ്യന്റെ പ്രാണന്നു പകരം ചോദിക്കും.

5. For sure, I will take the life of every animal and every person for taking a life. I will punish every man's brother for taking the life of man.

6. ആരെങ്കിലും മനുഷ്യന്റെ രക്തം ചൊരിയിച്ചാല് അവന്റെ രക്തം മനുഷ്യന് ചൊരിയിക്കും; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സ്വരൂപത്തിലല്ലോ മനുഷ്യനെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയതു.

6. Whoever takes the life of a man will have his life taken. For God made man to be like Him.

7. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് സന്താനപുഷ്ടിയുള്ളവരായി പെരുകുവിന് ; ഭൂമിയില് അനവധിയായി പെറ്റു പെരുകുവിന് .

7. As for you, have many children. Cover the earth with many people.'

8. ദൈവം പിന്നെയും നോഹയോടും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോടും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

8. Then God said to Noah and his sons,

9. ഞാന് , ഇതാ, നിങ്ങളോടും നിങ്ങളുടെ സന്തതിയോടും

9. 'See, I make My agreement with you, and with your children after you,

10. ഭൂമിയില് നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഉള്ള പക്ഷികളും കന്നുകാലികളും കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളുമായ സകല ജീവജന്തുക്കളോടും പെട്ടകത്തില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ട സകലവുമായി ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലമൃഗങ്ങളോടും ഒരു നിയമം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

10. and with every living thing that is with you, the birds, the cattle, and every animal of the earth, of all that came out of the large boat, every living thing on earth.

11. ഇനി സകലജഡവും ജലപ്രളയത്താല് നശിക്കയില്ല; ഭൂമിയെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാന് ഇനി ജലപ്രളയം ഉണ്ടാകയുമില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു ഒരു നിയമം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

11. I make My agreement with you, that never again will all flesh be destroyed by the water of a flood. There will never again be a flood to destroy the earth.'

12. പിന്നെയും ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുഞാനും നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഉള്ള സകലജീവജന്തുക്കളും തമ്മില് തലമുറതലമുറയോളം സദാകാലത്തേക്കും ചെയ്യുന്ന നിയമത്തിന്റെ അടയാളം ആവിതു

12. Then God said, 'This is something special to see for all time, because of the agreement that I am making between Me and you and every living thing that is with you:

13. ഞാന് എന്റെ വില്ലു മേഘത്തില് വെക്കുന്നു; അതു ഞാനും ഭൂമിയും തമ്മിലുള്ള നിയമത്തിന്നു അടയാളമായിരിക്കും.

13. I will set My rain-bow in the cloud, and it will be something special to see because of an agreement between Me and the earth.

14. ഞാന് ഭൂമിയുടെ മീതെ മേഘം വരുത്തുമ്പോള് മേഘത്തില് വില്ലു കാണും.

14. When I bring clouds over the earth and the rain-bow is seen in the clouds,

15. അപ്പോള് ഞാനും നിങ്ങളും സര്വ്വജഡവുമായ സകലജീവജന്തുക്കളും തമ്മിലുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമം ഞാന് ഔര്ക്കും; ഇനി സകല ജഡത്തെയും നശിപ്പിപ്പാന് വെള്ളം ഒരു പ്രളയമായി തീരുകയുമില്ല.

15. I will remember My agreement that is between Me and you and every living thing of all flesh. Never again will the water become a flood to destroy all flesh.

16. വില്ലു മേഘത്തില് ഉണ്ടാകും; ദൈവവും ഭൂമിയിലെ സര്വ്വ ജഡവുമായ സകല ജീവികളും തമ്മില് എന്നേക്കുമുള്ള നിയമം ഔര്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് അതിനെ നോക്കും.

16. When the rainbow is in the cloud, I will look upon it to remember the agreement that will last forever between God and every living thing of all flesh that is on the earth.'

17. ഞാന് ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള സര്വ്വ ജഡത്തോടും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന നിയമത്തിന്നു ഇതു അടയാളം എന്നും ദൈവം നോഹയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

17. God said to Noah, 'This is the special thing to see because of the agreement I have made between Me and all flesh upon the earth.'

18. പെട്ടകത്തില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടവരായ നോഹയുടെ പുത്രന്മാര് ശേമും ഹാമും യാഫെത്തും ആയിരുന്നു; ഹാം എന്നവനോ കനാന്റെ പിതാവു.

18. The sons of Noah who came out of the large boat were Shem , Ham and Japheth. Ham was the father of Canaan.

19. ഇവര് മൂവരും നോഹയുടെ പുത്രന്മാര്; അവരെക്കൊണ്ടു ഭൂമി ഒക്കെയും നിറഞ്ഞു.

19. These three were the sons of Noah. And all the people of the earth came from them.

20. നോഹ കൃഷിചെയ്വാന് തുടങ്ങി; ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി.

20. Then Noah became a farmer and planted a grape-field.

21. അവന് അതിലെ വീഞ്ഞുകുടിച്ചു ലഹരിപിടിച്ചു തന്റെ കൂടാരത്തില് വസ്ത്രം നീങ്ങി കിടന്നു.

21. And he drank of the wine, and drank too much, and lay without covering himself in his tent.

22. കനാന്റെ പിതാവായ ഹാം പിതാവിന്റെ നഗ്നത കണ്ടു വെളിയില് ചെന്നു തന്റെ രണ്ടു സഹോദരന്മാരെയും അറിയിച്ചു.

22. Then Ham, the father of Canaan, saw that his father was without clothes. And he told his two brothers outside.

23. ശേമും യാഫെത്തും ഒരു വസ്ത്രം എടുത്തു, ഇരുവരുടെയും തോളില് ഇട്ടു വിമുഖരായി ചെന്നു പിതാവിന്റെ നഗ്നത മറെച്ചു; അവരുടെ മുഖം തിരിഞ്ഞിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് പിതാവിന്റെ നഗ്നത കണ്ടില്ല.

23. But Shem and Japheth took a coat and laid it upon their shoulders and walked in with their backs toward their father and covered him. Their faces were turned away, so that they did not see their father without clothes.

24. നോഹ ലഹരിവിട്ടുണര്ന്നപ്പോള് തന്റെ ഇളയ മകന് ചെയ്തതു അറിഞ്ഞു.

24. When Noah awoke from his wine, he knew what his youngest son had done to him.

25. അപ്പോള് അവന് കനാന് ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവന് ; അവന് തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര്ക്കും അധമദാസനായ്തീരും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. So he said, 'May Canaan be cursed! He will be a servant of servants to his brothers.'

26. ശേമിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ സ്തുതിക്കപ്പെട്ടവന് ; കനാന് അവരുടെ ദാസനാകും.

26. He also said, 'Honor and thanks be to the Lord, the God of Shem. Let Canaan be his servant.

27. ദൈവം യാഫെത്തിനെ വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കട്ടെ; അവന് ശേമിന്റെ കൂടാരങ്ങളില് വസിക്കും; കനാന് അവരുടെ ദാസനാകും എന്നും അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

27. May God make Japheth great. Let him live in the tents of Shem. And let Canaan be his servants.'

28. ജലപ്രളയത്തിന്റെ ശേഷം നോഹ മുന്നൂറ്റമ്പതു സംവത്സരം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു.

28. Noah lived 350 years after the flood.

29. നോഹയുടെ ആയുഷ്കാലം ആകെ തൊള്ളായിരത്തമ്പതു സംവത്സരമായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവന് മരിച്ചു.

29. So Noah lived 950 years, and he died.
