1. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാല്

1. ADONAI said to Moshe,

2. ഇതാ, ഞാന് യെഹൂദാഗോത്രത്തില് ഹൂരിന്റെ മകനായ ഊരിയുടെ മകന് ബെസലേലിനെ പേര് ചൊല്ലി വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. 'I have singled out B'tzal'el the son of Uri the son of Hur, of the tribe of Y'hudah.

3. അവന് കൌശലപ്പണികളെ സങ്കല്പിച്ചു ചെയ്വാനും പൊന്നു, വെള്ളി, താമ്രം എന്നിവകൊണ്ടു പണി ചെയ്വാനും രത്നം വെട്ടി പതിപ്പാനും

3. I have filled him with the Spirit of God- with wisdom, understanding and knowledge concerning every kind of artisanry.

4. മരത്തില് കൊത്തുപണി ചെയ്വാനും സകലവിധമായ പണിത്തരം ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാനും ഞാന് അവനെ

4. He is a master of design in gold, silver, bronze,

5. ദിവ്യാത്മാവിനാല് ജ്ഞാനവും ബുദ്ധിയും അറിവും സകലവിധ സാമര്ത്ഥ്യവും കൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. cutting precious stones to be set, woodcarving and every other craft.

6. ഞാന് ദാന് ഗോത്രത്തില് അഹീസാമാക്കിന്റെ മകനായ ഒഹൊലിയാബിനെ അവനോടുകൂടെ ആക്കുകയും സകല ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിലും ജ്ഞാനം നലകുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. ഞാന് നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതു ഒക്കെയും അവര് ഉണ്ടാക്കും.

6. 'I have also appointed as his assistant Oholi'av the son of Achisamakh, of the tribe of Dan. Moreover, I have endowed all the craftsmen with the wisdom to make everything I have ordered you-

7. സമാഗമനക്കുടാരവും സാക്ഷ്യപെട്ടകവും അതിന്മീതെയുള്ള കൃപാസനവും കൂടാരത്തിന്റെ ഉപകരണങ്ങളൊക്കെയും

7. the tent of meeting, the ark for the testimony, the ark-cover above it, all the furnishings of the tent,

8. മേശയും അതിന്റെ ഉപകരണങ്ങളും തങ്കംകൊണ്ടുള്ള നിലവിളക്കും അതിന്റെ ഉപകരണങ്ങളൊക്കെയും

8. the table and its utensils, the pure [menorah] and all its utensils, the incense altar,

9. ധൂപപീഠവും ഹോമയാഗപീഠവും അതിന്റെ ഉപകരണങ്ങളൊക്കെയും തൊട്ടിയും അതിന്റെ കാലും വിശേഷവസ്ത്രങ്ങളും

9. the altar for burnt offerings and all its utensils, the basin and its base,

10. പുരോഹിതനായ അഹരോന്റെ വിശുദ്ധ വസ്ത്രങ്ങളും പുരോഹിതശുശ്രൂഷെക്കായിട്ടു

10. the garments for officiating, the holy garments for Aharon the [cohen] and the garments for his sons, so that they can serve in the office of [cohen],

11. അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ വസ്ത്രങ്ങളും അഭിഷേകതൈലവും വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്നുള്ള സുഗന്ധധൂപവര്ഗ്ഗവും ഞാന് നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും അവര് ഉണ്ടാക്കും.

11. the anointing oil and the incense of aromatic spices for the Holy Place: they are to make everything just as I have ordered you.'

12. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുനീ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകളെ ആചരിക്കേണം. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവയാകുന്നു എന്നു അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു അതു തലമുറതലമുറയായി എനിക്കും നിങ്ങള്ക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ ഒരു അടയാളം ആകുന്നു.

12. ADONAI said to Moshe,

13. അതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങള് ശബ്ബത്ത് ആചരിക്കേണം; അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വിശുദ്ധം ആകുന്നു.

13. 'Tell the people of Isra'el, 'You are to observe my [Shabbat]s; for this is a sign between me and you through all your generations; so that you will know that I am ADONAI, who sets you apart for me.

14. അതിനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നവന് മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം. ആരെങ്കിലും അന്നു വേല ചെയ്താല് അവനെ അവന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം.

14. Therefore you are to keep my [Shabbat], because it is set apart for you. Everyone who treats it as ordinary must be put to death; for whoever does any work on it is to be cut off from his people.

15. ആറു ദിവസം വേല ചെയ്യേണം; എന്നാല് ഏഴാം ദിവസം സ്വസ്ഥമായുള്ള ശബ്ബത്തായി യഹോവേക്കു വിശുദ്ധം ആകുന്നു; ആരെങ്കിലും ശബ്ബത്ത് നാളില് വേല ചെയ്താല് അവന് മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം.

15. On six days work will get done; but the seventh day is [Shabbat], for complete rest, set apart for ADONAI. Whoever does any work on the day of [Shabbat] must be put to death.

16. ആകയാല് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് തലമുറതലമുറയായി ശബ്ബത്തിനെ നിത്യ നിയമമായിട്ടു ആചരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ശബ്ബ്ത്തിനെ പ്രമാണിക്കേണം.

16. The people of Isra'el are to keep the [Shabbat], to observe [Shabbat] through all their generations as a perpetual covenant.

17. അതു എനിക്കും യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ എന്നേക്കും ഒരു അടയാളം ആകുന്നു; ആറു ദിവസംകൊണ്ടല്ലോ യഹോവ ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കിയതു; ഏഴാംദിവസം അവന് സ്വസ്ഥമായിരുന്നു വിശ്രമിച്ചു.

17. It is a sign between me and the people of Isra'el forever; for in six days ADONAI made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day he stopped working and rested.''

18. അവന് സീനായി പര്വ്വതത്തില് വെച്ചു മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിരല്കൊണ്ടു എഴുതിയ കല്പലകകളായ സാക്ഷ്യപലക രണ്ടും അവന്റെ പക്കല് കൊടുത്തു.

18. When he had finished speaking with Moshe on Mount Sinai, ADONAI gave him the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
