1. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുനീ ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു അവനോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്എബ്രായരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഎന്നെ ആരാധിപ്പാന് എന്റെ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയക്ക.

1. And the Lord said to Moses: Go in to Pharao, and speak to him: Thus saith the Lord God of the Hebrews: Let my people go to sacrifice to me.

2. വിട്ടയപ്പാന് സമ്മതിക്കാതെ ഇനിയും അവരെ തടഞ്ഞു നിര്ത്തിയാല്,

2. But if thou refuse, and withhold them still:

3. യഹോവയുടെ കൈ കുതിര, കഴുത, ഒട്ടകം, കന്നുകാലി, ആടു എന്നിങ്ങനെ വയലില് നിനക്കുള്ള മൃഗങ്ങളിന്മേല് വരും; അതികഠിനമായ വ്യാധിയുണ്ടാകും.

3. Behold my hand shall be upon thy fields: and a very grievous murrain upon thy horses, and asses, and camels, and oxen, and sheep.

4. യഹോവ യിസ്രായേല്യരുടെ മൃഗങ്ങള്ക്കും മിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ മൃഗങ്ങള്ക്കും തമ്മില് വ്യത്യാസം വേക്കും; യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കുള്ള സകലത്തിലും ഒന്നും ചാകയില്ല.

4. And the Lord will make a wonderful difference between the possessions of Israel and the possessions of the Egyptians, that nothing at all shall die of those things that belong to the children of Israel.

5. നാളെ യഹോവ ഈ കാര്യം ദേശത്തു ചെയ്യുമെന്നു കല്പിച്ചു സമയം കുറിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. And the Lord appointed a time, saying: Tomorrow will the Lord do this thing in the land.

6. അങ്ങനെ പിറ്റേ ദിവസം യഹോവ ഈ കാര്യം ചെയ്തുമിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ മൃഗങ്ങള് എല്ലാം ചത്തു; യിസ്രായേല് മക്കളുടെ മൃഗങ്ങളോ ഒന്നുപോലും ചത്തില്ല.

6. The Lord therefore did this thing the next day: and all the beasts of the Egyptians died, but of the beasts of the children of Israel there died not one.

7. ഫറവോന് ആളയച്ചു; യിസ്രായേല്യരുടെ മൃഗങ്ങള് ഒന്നുപോലും ചത്തില്ല എന്നു കണ്ടു എങ്കിലും ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനപ്പെട്ടു അവന് ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയച്ചതുമില്ല.

7. And Pharao sent to see: and there was not any thing dead of that which Israel possessed. And Pharao's heart was hardened, and he did not let the people go.

8. പിന്നെ യഹോവ മോശെയോടും അഹരോനോടുംഅടുപ്പിലെ വെണ്ണീര് കൈനിറച്ചു വാരുവിന് ; മോശെ അതു ഫറവോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ആകാശത്തേക്കു വിതറട്ടെ.

8. And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron: Take to you handfuls of ashes out of the chimney, and let Moses sprinkle it in the air in the presence of Pharao.

9. അതു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും ധൂളിയായി പാറി മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തൊക്കെയും മനുഷ്യരുടെ മേലും മൃഗങ്ങളിന് മേലും പുണ്ണായി പൊങ്ങുന്ന പരുവാകും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

9. And be there dust upon all the land of Egypt: for there shall be boils and swelling blains both in men and beasts in the whole land of Egypt.

10. അങ്ങനെ അവര് അടുപ്പിലെ വെണ്ണീര് വാരി ഫറവോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിന്നു. മോശെ അതു ആകാശത്തേക്കു വിതറിയപ്പോള് അതു മനുഷ്യരുടെ മേലും മൃഗങ്ങളിന് മേലും പുണ്ണായി പൊങ്ങുന്ന പരുവായ്തീര്ന്നു.

10. And they took ashes out of the chimney, and stood before Pharao, and Moses sprinkled it in the air: and there came boils with swelling blains in men and beasts.

11. പരുനിമിത്തം മന്ത്രവാദികള്ക്കു മോശെയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്പാന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; പരു മന്ത്രവാദികള്ക്കും എല്ലാ മിസ്രയീമ്യര്ക്കും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

11. Neither could the magicians stand before Moses for the boils that were upon them, and in all the land of Egypt.

12. എന്നാല് യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതു പോലെ അവന് ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ കഠിനമാക്കി; അവന് അവരെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചതുമില്ല.

12. And the Lord hardened Pharao's heart, and he hearkened not unto them, as the Lord had spoken to Moses.

13. അപ്പോള് യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുനീ നന്ന രാവിലെ എഴുന്നേറ്റു, ഫറവോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിന്നു അവനോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്എബ്രായരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഎന്നെ ആരാധിപ്പാന് എന്റെ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയക്ക.

13. And the Lord said to Moses: Arise in the morning, and stand before Pharao, and thou shalt say to him: Thus saith the Lord the God of the Hebrews: Let my people go to sacrifice to me.

15. ഇപ്പോള് തന്നേ ഞാന് എന്റെ കൈ നീട്ടി നിന്നെയും നിന്റെ ജനത്തെയും മഹാമാരിയാല് ദണ്ഡിപ്പിച്ചു നിന്നെ ഭൂമിയില് നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയുമായിരുന്നു.

15. For now I will stretch out my hand to strike thee, and thy people with pestilence, and thou shalt perish from the earth.

16. എങ്കിലും എന്റെ ശക്തി നിന്നെ കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും എന്റെ നാമം സര്വ്വഭൂമിയിലും പ്രസ്താവിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നും ഞാന് നിന്നെ നിര്ത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

16. And therefore have I raised thee, that I may shew my power in thee, and my name may be spoken of throughout all the earth.

17. എന്റെ ജനത്തെ അയക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം നീ ഇനിയും അവരെ തടഞ്ഞുനിര്ത്തുന്നു.

17. Dost thou yet hold back my people: and wilt thou not let them go?

18. മിസ്രയീം സ്ഥാപിതമായ നാള്മുതല് ഇന്നുവരെ അതില് ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ലാത്ത അതികഠിനമായ കല്മഴ ഞാന് നാളെ ഈ നേരത്തു പെയ്യിക്കും.

18. Behold I will cause it to rain tomorrow at this same hour, an exceeding great hail: such as hath not been in Egypt from the day that it was founded, until this present time.

19. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഇപ്പോള് ആളയച്ചു നിന്റെ മൃഗങ്ങളെയും വയലില് നിനക്കുള്ള സകലത്തെയും അകത്തു വരുത്തിക്കൊള്ക. വീട്ടില് വരുത്താതെ വയലില് കാണുന്ന സകലമനുഷ്യന്റെയും മൃഗത്തിന്റെയും മേല് കല്മഴ പെയ്യുകയും എല്ലാം ചാകയും ചെയ്യും.

19. Send therefore now presently, and gather together thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field: for men and beasts, and all things that shall be found abroad, and not gathered together out of the fields, which the hail shall fall upon, shall die.

20. ഫറവോന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരില് യഹോവയുടെ വചനത്തെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടവര് ദാസന്മാരെയും മൃഗങ്ങളെയും വീടുകളില് വരുത്തി രക്ഷിച്ചു.

20. He that feared the word of the Lord among Pharao's servants, made his servants and his cattle flee into houses:

21. എന്നാല് യഹോവയുടെ വചനത്തെ പ്രമാണിക്കാതിരുന്നവര് ദാസന്മാരെയും മൃഗങ്ങളെയും വയലില് തന്നേ വിട്ടേച്ചു.

21. But he that regarded not the word of the Lord, left his servants and his cattle in the fields:

22. പിന്നെ യഹോവ മോശെയോടുമിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും മനുഷ്യരുടെയും മൃഗങ്ങളുടെയും മേലും മിസ്രയീം ദേശത്തുള്ള സകല സസ്യത്തിന്മേലും കല്മഴ വരുവാന് നിന്റെ കൈ ആകാശത്തേക്കു നീട്ടുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

22. And the Lord said to Moses: Stretch forth thy hand towards heaven, that there may be hail in the whole land of Egypt, upon men, and upon beasts, and upon every herb of the field in the land of Egypt.

23. മോശെ തന്റെ വടി ആകാശത്തേക്കു നീട്ടി; അപ്പോള് യഹോവ ഇടിയും കല്മഴയും അയച്ചു; തീ ഭൂമിയിലേക്കു പാഞ്ഞിറങ്ങി; യഹോവ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിന്മേല് കല്മഴ പെയ്യിച്ചു.

23. And Moses stretched forth his rod towards heaven, and the Lord sent thunder and hail, and lightning running along the ground: and the Lord rained hail upon the land of Egypt.

24. ഇങ്ങനെ കല്മഴയും കല്മഴയോടു കൂടെ വിടാതെ ഇറങ്ങുന്ന തീയും അതികഠിനമായിരുന്നു; മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു ജനവാസം തുടങ്ങിയതുമുതല് അതിലെങ്ങും ഇതുപോലെ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല.

24. And the hail and fire mixed with it drove on together: and it was of so great bigness, as never before was seen in the whole land of Egypt since that nation was founded.

25. മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും മനുഷ്യരെയും മൃഗങ്ങളെയും വയലില് ഇരുന്ന സകലത്തെയും കല്മഴ സംഹരിച്ചു; കല്മഴ വയലിലുള്ള സകലസസ്യത്തെയും നശിപ്പിച്ചു; പറമ്പിലെ വൃക്ഷത്തെ ഒക്കെയും തകര്ത്തുകളഞ്ഞു.

25. And the hail destroyed through all the land of Egypt all things that were in the fields, both man and beast: and the hail smote every herb of the field, and it broke every tree of the country.

26. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് പാര്ത്ത ഗോശെന് ദേശത്തു മാത്രം കല്മഴ ഉണ്ടായില്ല.

26. Only in the land of Gessen, where the children of Israel were, the hail fell not.

27. അപ്പോള് ഫറവോന് ആളയച്ചു മോശെയെയും അഹരോനെയും വിളിപ്പിച്ചു അവരോടുഈ പ്രാവശ്യം ഞാന് പാപംചെയ്തു; യഹോവ നീതിയുള്ളവന് ; ഞാനും എന്റെ ജനവും ദുഷ്ടന്മാര്.

27. And Pharao sent and called Moses and Aaron, saying to them: I have sinned this time also; the Lord is just: I and my people are wicked.

28. യഹോവയോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പിന് ; ഈ ഭയങ്കരമായ ഇടിയും കല്മഴയും മതി. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടയക്കാം; ഇനി താമസിപ്പിക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

28. Pray ye to the Lord, that the thunderings of God and the hail may cease: that I may let you go, and that you may stay here no longer.

29. മോശെ അവനോടുഞാന് പട്ടണത്തില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോള് യഹോവയിങ്കലേക്കു കൈ മലര്ത്തും; ഭൂമി യഹോവേക്കുള്ളതു എന്നു നീ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇടിമുഴക്കം നിന്നുപോകും; കല്മഴയും പിന്നെ ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല.

29. Moses said: As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will stretch forth my hands to the Lord, and the thunders shall cease, and the hail shall be no more: that thou mayst know that the earth is the Lord's.

30. എന്നാല് നീയും നിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരും യഹോവയായ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

30. But I know that neither thou, nor thy servants do yet fear the Lord God.

31. അങ്ങനെ ചണവും യവവും നശിച്ചുപോയി; യവം കതിരായും ചണം പൂത്തും ഇരുന്നു.

31. The flax therefore and the barley were hurt, because the barley was green, and the flax was now boiled:

32. എന്നാല് കോതമ്പും ചോളവും വളര്ന്നിട്ടില്ലാഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു നശിച്ചില്ല.

32. But the wheat, and other winter corn were not hurt, because they were lateward.

33. മോശെ ഫറവോനെ വിട്ടു പട്ടണത്തില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു യഹോവയിങ്കലേക്കു കൈ മലര്ത്തിയപ്പോള് ഇടിമുഴക്കവും കല്മഴയും നിന്നു മഴ ഭൂമിയില് ചൊരിഞ്ഞതുമില്ല.

33. And when Moses was gone from Pharao out of the city, he stretched forth his hands to the Lord: and the thunders and the hail ceased, neither did there drop any more rain upon the earth.

34. എന്നാല് മഴയും കല്മഴയും ഇടിമുഴക്കവും നിന്നുപോയി എന്നു ഫറവോന് കണ്ടപ്പോള് അവന് പിന്നെയും പാപം ചെയ്തു; അവനും ഭൃത്യന്മാരും ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കി.

34. And Pharao seeing that the rain and the hail, and the thunders were ceased, increased his sin.

35. യഹോവ മോശെമുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുപോലെ ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനപ്പെട്ടു, അവന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളെ വിട്ടയച്ചതുമില്ല.

35. And his heart was hardened, and the heart of his servants, and it was made exceeding hard: neither did he let the children of Israel go, as the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses.
