1. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

1. And LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

2. നീ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്ഒരു സ്ത്രീ ഗര്ഭംധരിച്ചു ആണ്കുഞ്ഞിനെ പ്രസവിച്ചാല് അവള് ഏഴു ദിവസം അശുദ്ധയായിരിക്കേണം; ഋതുവിന്റെ മാലിന്യകാലത്തെന്നപോലെ അവള് അശുദ്ധയായിരിക്കേണം.

2. Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, If a woman conceives seed, and bears a man-child, then she shall be unclean seven days, as in the days of the impurity of her sickness she shall be unclean.

3. And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.

4. പിന്നെ അവള് മുപ്പത്തുമൂന്നു ദിവസം തന്റെ രക്ത ശുദ്ധീകരണത്തില് ഇരിക്കേണം; അവളുടെ ശുദ്ധീകരണകാലം തികയുന്നതുവരെ അവള് യാതൊരു വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുവും തൊടരുതു; വിശുദ്ധ മന്ദിരത്തിലേക്കു വരികയും അരുതു.

4. And she shall continue in the blood of her purifying thirty-three days. She shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.

5. പെണ്കുഞ്ഞിനെ പ്രസവിച്ചാല് അവള് രണ്ടു ആഴ്ചവട്ടം ഋതുകാലത്തെന്നപോലെ അശുദ്ധയായിരിക്കേണം; പിന്നെ അറുപത്താറു ദിവസം തന്റെ രക്തശുദ്ധീകരണത്തില് ഇരിക്കേണം.

5. But if she bears a maid-child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her impurity, and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying sixty-six days.

6. മകന്നു വേണ്ടിയോ മകള്ക്കു വേണ്ടിയോ അവളുടെ ശുദ്ധീകരണകാലം തികഞ്ഞശേഷം അവള് ഒരു വയസ്സുപ്രായമുള്ള ആട്ടിന് കുട്ടിയെ ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്നായിട്ടും ഒരു പ്രാവിന് കുഞ്ഞിനെയോ ഒരു കുറുപ്രാവിനെയോ പാപയാഗത്തിന്നായിട്ടും സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കല് പുരോഹിത തന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരേണം.

6. And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb a year old for a burnt-offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtle-dove, for a sin-offering, to the door of the tent of meeting, to the priest.

7. അവന് അതു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് അര്പ്പിച്ചു പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിക്കേണം; എന്നാല് അവളുടെ രക്തസ്രവം നിന്നിട്ടു അവള് ശുദ്ധയാകും. ഇതു ആണ്കുഞ്ഞിനെയോ പെണ്കുഞ്ഞിനെയോ പ്രസവിച്ചവള്ക്കുള്ള പ്രമാണം.

7. And he shall offer it before LORD, and make atonement for her, and she shall be cleansed from the fountain of her blood. This is the law for her who bears, whether a male or a female.

8. ആട്ടിന് കുട്ടിക്കു അവളുടെ പക്കല് വകയില്ല എങ്കില് അവള് രണ്ടു കുറു പ്രാവിനെയോ രണ്ടു പ്രാവിന് കുഞ്ഞിനെയോ ഔന്നിനെ ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്നും മറ്റേതിനെ പാപയാഗത്തിന്നുമായി കൊണ്ടുവരേണം; പുരോഹിതന് അവള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിക്കേണം; എന്നാല് അവള് ശുദ്ധയാകും.

8. And if her means are not sufficient for a lamb, then she shall take two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, the one for a burnt-offering, and the other for a sin-offering. And the priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be clean.
