2. ദൈവം തീക്ഷണതയുള്ളവനും യഹോവ പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യുന്നവനും ആകുന്നു; യഹോവ പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യുന്നവനും ക്രോധപൂര്ണ്ണനുമാകുന്നു; യഹോവ തന്റെ വൈരികളോടു പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്കയും തന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള്ക്കായി കോപം സംഗ്രഹിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

2. God is ielous, & the Lorde auengeth, the Lorde auengeth and hath wrath in store: the Lord auengeth vpon them that trouble hym, and he remembreth his enemies.

3. യഹോവ ദീര്ഘക്ഷമയും മഹാശക്തിയുമുള്ളവന് ; അവന് ഒരിക്കലും ശിക്ഷിക്കാതെ വിടുകയില്ല; യഹോവയുടെ വഴി ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിലും കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിലും ഉണ്ടു; മേഘം അവന്റെ കാല്ക്കീഴിലെ പൊടിയാകുന്നു.

3. The Lorde is slowe to anger, and [also] of great power, and in no case will not acquite [the wicked,] the Lordes dealing is with blustring tempest and whirle winde, and the cloudes are the dust of his feete.

4. അവന് സമുദ്രത്തെ ഭര്ത്സിച്ചു വറ്റിക്കയും സകലനദികളെയും വരട്ടിക്കളകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; ബാശാനും കര്മ്മേലും വരളുന്നു; ലെബാനോന്റെ പുഷ്പം വാടിപ്പോകുന്നു.

4. He rebuketh the sea and dryeth it vp, all the riuers also he maketh drye: Basan and Carmel are destroyed, the spring also of Libanon is destroyed.

5. അവന്റെ മുമ്പില് പര്വ്വതങ്ങള് കുലുങ്ങുന്നു; കുന്നുകള് ഉരുകിപ്പോകുന്നു; അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് ഭൂമി ഞെട്ടിപ്പോകുന്നു; മഹീതലവും അതിലെ സകലനിവാസികളും തന്നേ.

5. The mountaynes quake at his power and the hilles are resolued: the earth also burneth at his countenaunce, the worlde, and all that dwelleth therin.

6. അവന്റെ ക്രോധത്തിന് മുമ്പില് ആര് നിലക്കും? അവന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപത്തിങ്കല് ആര് നിവിര്ന്നുനിലക്കും? അവന്റെ ക്രോധം തീപോലെ ചൊരിയുന്നു; പാറകള് അവനാല് പിളര്ന്നുപോകുന്നു.

6. Who can stande before his wrath? or who can rise vp before the anger of his countenaunce, his fiercenesse is powred out like fire, yea the rockes cleaue in peeces at his might.

7. യഹോവ നല്ലവനും കഷ്ടദിവസത്തില് ശരണവും ആകുന്നു; തങ്കല് ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവരെ അവന് അറിയുന്നു.

7. The Lord is gratious, a strong holde in the day of trouble, and knoweth them that trust in hym.

8. എന്നാല് കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്നോരു പ്രവാഹം കൊണ്ടു അവന് അതിന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു മുടിവു വരുത്തും; തന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ അവന് അന്ധകാരത്തില് പിന്തുടരുന്നു.

8. But with an ouerrunning flood he wil destroy her place, and will pursue his enemies with darkenesse.

9. നിങ്ങള് യഹോവേക്കു വിരോധമായി നിരൂപിക്കുന്നതെന്തു? അവന് മുടിവു വരുത്തും; കഷ്ടത രണ്ടുപ്രാവശ്യം പൊങ്ങിവരികയില്ല.

9. What imagine ye against the Lorde? he makes an vtter destruction: ye shall not be troubled twyse.

10. അവര് കൂടിപ്പിണഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന മുള്ളുപോലെ ആയാലും തങ്ങളുടെ മദ്യപാനത്തില് മദ്യപിച്ചിരുന്നാലും അവര് മുഴുവനും ഉണങ്ങിയ താളടിപോലെ തീക്കു ഇരയായിത്തീരും.

10. For whyles the thornes cleaue together, and whyles they banquet out their feastes, they are deuoured vp as very drie stubble.

11. യഹോവേക്കു വിരോധമായി ദോഷം നിരൂപിക്കയും നിസ്സാരത്വം ആലോചിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന് നിന്നില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. There came out of thee such as thought euyll against the Lorde, such as gaue wicked counsell.

12. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഅവര് പൂര്ണ്ണ ശക്തന്മാരും അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ അനേകരും ആയിരുന്നാലും അവര് അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടുകയും അവന് കഴിഞ്ഞുപോകയും ചെയ്യും. ഞാന് നിന്നെ താഴ്ത്തി എങ്കിലും ഇനി നിന്നെ താഴ്ത്തുകയില്ല.

12. Thus sayth the Lorde: Though ye be in concorde, and also many, yet so shall ye be cut downe, and passe: & [though] I haue afflicted thee [O Hierusalem] yet will I trouble thee no more.

13. ഇപ്പോഴോ ഞാന് അവന്റെ നുകം നിന്റെമേല്നിന്നു ഒടിച്ചുകളയും നിന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങള് അറുത്തുകളകയും ചെയ്യും.

13. And nowe I will breake of his yoke from [vpon] thee, and I will breake thy bondes in sunder.

14. എന്നാല് യഹോവ നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചുനിന്റെ പേരുള്ള സന്തതി ഇനി ഒട്ടു ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; കൊത്തിയുണ്ടാക്കിയ വിഗ്രഹത്തെയും വാര്ത്തുണ്ടാക്കിയ ബിംബത്തെയും നിന്റെ ദേവന്മാരുടെ ക്ഷേത്രത്തില് നിന്നു ഞാന് ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും; നീ നിസ്സാരനായിരിക്കയാല് ഞാന് നിന്റെ ശവകൂഴി കുഴിക്കും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. The Lorde also hath geuen a commaundement touching thee that, there shalbe no more offpring of thy name: from the house of thy God, I will cut of carued and molten image, I will make [it] thy graue, for thou art vile.

15. ഇതാ, പര്വ്വതങ്ങളിന്മേല് സുവാര്ത്താദൂതനായി സമാധാനം ഘോഷിക്കുന്നവന്റെ കാല്; യെഹൂദയേ, നിന്റെ ഉത്സവങ്ങളെ ആചരിക്ക; നിന്റെ നേര്ച്ചകളെ കഴിക്ക; നിസ്സാരന് ഇനി നിന്നില്കൂടി കടക്കയില്ല; അവന് അശേഷം ഛേദിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

15. Behold vpon the mountaynes the feete of him that bringeth good tidinges, that preacheth peace: kepe thy festiual dayes O Iuda, paye thy vowes: for the wicked [tiraunt] shal hereafter passe no more through thee, he is vtterly cut of.
