1. അവര് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു പോന്നതിന്റെ രണ്ടാം സംവത്സരം ഒന്നാം മാസം യഹോവ സീനായിമരുഭൂമിയില്വെച്ചു മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നാല്

1. GOD spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai in the first month of the second year after leaving Egypt:

2. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് പെസഹ അതിന്നു നിശ്ചയിച്ച സമയത്തു ആചരിക്കേണം.

2. 'Have the People of Israel celebrate Passover at the set time.

3. അതിന്നു നിശ്ചയിച്ച സമയമായ ഈ മാസം പതിന്നാലാം തിയ്യതി വൈകുന്നേരം അതു ആചരിക്കേണം; അതിന്റെ എല്ലാചട്ടങ്ങള്ക്കും നിയമങ്ങള്ക്കും അനുസരണയായി നിങ്ങള് അതു ആചരിക്കേണം.

3. Celebrate it on schedule, on the evening of the fourteenth day of this month, following all the rules and procedures.'

4. പെസഹ ആചരിക്കേണമെന്നു മോശെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

4. Moses told the People of Israel to celebrate the Passover

5. അങ്ങനെ അവര് ഒന്നാം മാസം പതിന്നാലാം തിയ്യതി സന്ധ്യാസമയത്തു സീനായിമരുഭൂമിയില്വെച്ചു പെസഹ ആചരിച്ചു; യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് ചെയ്തു.

5. and they did--in the Wilderness of Sinai at evening of the fourteenth day of the first month. The People of Israel did it all just as GOD had commanded Moses.

6. എന്നാല് ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ ശവത്താല് അശുദ്ധരായിത്തീര്ന്നിട്ടു ആ നാളില് പെസഹ ആചരിപ്പാന് കഴിയാത്ത ചിലര് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവര് അന്നുതന്നേ മോശെയുടെയും അഹരോന്റെയും മുമ്പാകെ വന്നു അവനോടു

6. But some of them couldn't celebrate the Passover on the assigned day because they were ritually unclean on account of a corpse. So they presented themselves before Moses and Aaron on Passover

7. ഞങ്ങള് ഒരുത്തന്റെ ശവത്താല് അശുദ്ധരായിരിക്കുന്നു; നിശ്ചയിക്കപ്പെട്ട സമയത്തു യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ ഇടയില് യഹോവയുടെ വഴിപാടു കഴിക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് ഞങ്ങളെ മുടക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

7. and told Moses, 'We have become ritually unclean because of a corpse, but why should we be barred from bringing GOD's offering along with other Israelites on the day set for Passover?'

8. മോശെ അവരോടുനില്പിന് ; യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു കല്പിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ഞാന് കേള്ക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. Moses said, 'Give me some time; I'll find out what GOD says in your circumstances.'

9. എന്നാറെ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു.

9. GOD spoke to Moses:

10. നീ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്നിങ്ങളിലോ നിങ്ങളുടെ സന്തതികളിലോ വല്ലവനും ശവത്താല് അശുദ്ധനാകയോ ദൂരയാത്രയില് ആയിരിക്കയോ ചെയ്താലും അവന് യഹോവേക്കു പെസഹ ആചരിക്കേണം.

10. 'Tell the People of Israel, If one or another of you is ritually unclean because of a corpse, or you happen to be off on a long trip, you may still celebrate GOD's Passover.

11. രണ്ടാം മാസം പതിന്നാലാം തിയ്യതി സന്ധ്യാസമയത്തു അവര് അതു ആചരിച്ചു പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തോടും കൈപ്പുചീരയോടും കൂടെ അതു ഭക്ഷിക്കേണം.

11. But celebrate it on the fourteenth day of the second month at evening. Eat the lamb together with unraised bread and bitter herbs.

12. രാവിലത്തേക്കു അതില് ഒന്നും ശേഷിപ്പിച്ചുവെക്കരുതു; അതിന്റെ അസ്ഥിയൊന്നും ഒടിക്കയും അരുതു; പെസഹയുടെ ചട്ടപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും അവര് അതു ആചരിക്കേണം.

12. Don't leave any of it until morning. Don't break any of its bones. Follow all the procedures.

13. എന്നാല് ശുദ്ധിയുള്ളവനും പ്രയാണത്തില് അല്ലാത്തവനുമായ ഒരുത്തന് പെസഹ ആചരിക്കാതെ വീഴ്ച വരുത്തിയാല് അവനെ അവന്റെ ജനത്തില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം; നിശ്ചയിച്ച സമയത്തു യഹോവയുടെ വഴിപാടു കഴിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവന് തന്റെ പാപം വഹിക്കേണം.

13. 'But a man who is ritually clean and is not off on a trip and still fails to celebrate the Passover must be cut off from his people because he did not present GOD's offering at the set time. That man will pay for his sin.

14. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് വന്നുപാര്ക്കുംന്ന ഒരു പരദേശിക്കു യഹോവയുടെ പെസഹ ആചരിക്കേണമെങ്കില് പെസഹയുടെ ചട്ടത്തിന്നും നിയമത്തിന്നും അനുസരണയായി അവന് ആചരിക്കേണം; പരദേശിക്കാകട്ടെ സ്വദേശിക്കാകട്ടെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒരു ചട്ടം തന്നേ ആയിരിക്കേണം.

14. 'Any foreigner living among you who wants to celebrate GOD's Passover is welcome to do it, but he must follow all the rules and procedures. The same procedures go for both foreigner and native-born.'

15. തിരുനിവാസം നിവിര്ത്തുനിര്ത്തിയ നാളില് മേഘം സാക്ഷ്യകൂടാരമെന്ന തിരുനിവാസത്തെ മൂടി; സന്ധ്യാസമയംതൊട്ടു രാവിലെവരെ അതു തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്മേല് അഗ്നിപ്രകാശംപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.

15. The day The Dwelling was set up, the Cloud covered The Dwelling of the Tent of Testimony. From sunset until daybreak it was over The Dwelling. It looked like fire.

16. അതു എല്ലായ്പോഴും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ആയിരുന്നു; പകല് മേഘവും രാത്രി അഗ്നിരൂപവും അതിനെ മൂടിയിരുന്നു.

16. It was like that all the time, the Cloud over The Dwelling and at night looking like fire.

17. മേഘം കൂടാരത്തിന്മേല് നിന്നു പൊങ്ങുമ്പോള് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് യാത്ര പുറപ്പെടും; മേഘം നിലക്കുന്നേടത്തു അവര് പാളയമിറങ്ങും.

17. When the Cloud lifted above the Tent, the People of Israel marched out; and when the Cloud descended the people camped.

18. യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപോലെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് യാത്ര പുറപ്പെടുകയും യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപോലെ പാളയമിറങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്തു; മേഘം തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്മേല് നിലക്കുമ്പോള് ഒക്കെയും അവര് പാളയമടിച്ചു താമസിക്കും,

18. The People of Israel marched at GOD's command and they camped at his command. As long as the Cloud was over The Dwelling, they camped.

19. മേഘം തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്മേല് ഏറെനാള് ഇരുന്നു എങ്കില് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് യാത്രപുറപ്പെടാതെ യഹോവയുടെ ആജ്ഞ കാത്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും.

19. Even when the Cloud hovered over The Dwelling for many days, they honored GOD's command and wouldn't march.

20. ചിലപ്പോള് മേഘം തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്മേല് കുറെനാള് ഇരിക്കും; അപ്പോള് അവര് യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപോലെ പാളയമിറങ്ങിയിരിക്കും; പിന്നെ യഹോവയുടെ കല്പന പോലെ യാത്ര പുറപ്പെടും.

20. They stayed in camp, obedient to GOD's command, as long as the Cloud was over The Dwelling, but the moment GOD issued orders they marched.

21. ചിലപ്പോള് മേഘം സന്ധ്യമുതല് ഉഷസ്സുവരെ ഇരിക്കും; ഉഷ:കാലത്തു മേഘം പൊങ്ങി എങ്കില് അവര് യാത്ര പുറപ്പെടും. ചിലപ്പോള് പകലും രാവും ഇരിക്കും; പിന്നെ മേഘം പൊങ്ങിയെങ്കില് അവര് യാത്ര പുറപ്പെടും.

21. If the Cloud stayed only from sunset to daybreak and then lifted at daybreak, they marched. Night or day, it made no difference--when the Cloud lifted, they marched.

22. രണ്ടു ദിവസമോ ഒരു മാസമോ ഒരു സംവത്സരമോ മേഘം തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്മേല് ആവസിച്ചിരുന്നാല് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് പുറപ്പെടാതെ പാളയമടിച്ചു താമസിക്കും; അതു പൊങ്ങുമ്പോഴോ അവര് പുറപ്പെടും.

22. It made no difference whether the Cloud hovered over The Dwelling for two days or a month or a year, as long as the Cloud was there, they were there. And when the Cloud went up, they got up and marched.

23. യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപോലെ അവര് പാളയമിറങ്ങുകയും യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപോലെ യാത്ര പുറപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും; മോശെമുഖാന്തരം യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവര് യഹോവയുടെ ആജ്ഞ പ്രമാണിച്ചു.

23. They camped at GOD's command and they marched at GOD's command. They lived obediently by GOD's orders as delivered by Moses.
