1. ആ സമയത്തു തന്നേ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ചിലര് പീലാത്തൊസ് ചില ഗലീലക്കാരുടെ ചോര അവരുടെ യാഗങ്ങളോടു കലര്ത്തിയ വര്ത്തമാനം അവനോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

1. Now there were present some, in that very season, bringing tidings to him, concerning the Galilaeans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

2. അതിന്നു അവന് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുആ ഗലീലക്കാര് ഇതു അനുഭവിക്കായാല് എല്ലാ ഗലീലക്കാരിലും പാപികള് ആയിരുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തോന്നുന്നുവോ? അല്ലല്ല, മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടാഞ്ഞാന് നിങ്ങള് എല്ലാവരും അങ്ങനെതന്നേ നശിച്ചുപോകും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

2. And, answering, he said unto them Suppose ye, that, these Galilaeans, had become, sinners beyond all the Galilaeans, because, these things, they have suffered?

3. അല്ല, ശീലോഹാമിലെ ഗോപുരം വീണു മരിച്ചുപോയ ആ പതിനെട്ടുപേര് യെരൂശലേമില് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന സകല മനുഷ്യരിലും കുറ്റക്കാര് ആയിരുന്നു എന്നു തോന്നുന്നുവോ?

3. Nay! I tell you, but, except ye repent, ye, all, in like manner, shall perish.

4. അല്ലല്ല, മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടാഞ്ഞാല് നിങ്ങള് എല്ലാവരും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ നശിച്ചുപോകും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

4. Or, those eighteen, upon whom fell the tower in Siloam, and slew them, suppose ye that, they, had become, debtors, beyond all the men who were dwelling in Jerusalem?

5. അവന് ഈ ഉപമയും പറഞ്ഞുഒരുത്തന്നു തന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തില് നട്ടിരുന്നോരു അത്തിവൃക്ഷം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവന് അതില് ഫലം തിരഞ്ഞുവന്നു, കണ്ടില്ലതാനും.

5. Nay! I tell you, but, except ye repent, ye, all, in the same way, shall perish.

6. അവന് തോട്ടക്കാരനോടുഞാന് ഇപ്പോള് മൂന്നു സംവത്സരമായി ഈ അത്തിയില് ഫലം തിരഞ്ഞുവരുന്നു കാണുന്നില്ലതാനും; അതിനെ വെട്ടിക്കളക അതു നിലത്തെ നിഷ്ഫലമാക്കുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

6. And he went on to speak this parable: A certain man had, a fig-tree, planted in his vineyard, and he canto seeking fruit therein, and found none.

7. അതിന്നു അവന് കര്ത്താവേ, ഞാന് അതിന്നു ചുറ്റും കിളെച്ചു വളം ഇടുവോളം ഈ ആണ്ടും കൂടെ നില്ക്കട്ടെ.

7. And he said unto the vine-dresser Lo! three years, I come, seeking fruit in this fig-tree, and find none. Cut it down! Why doth it make, even the round useless?

8. മേലാല് കായിച്ചെങ്കിലോ - ഇല്ലെങ്കില് വെട്ടിക്കളയാം എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

8. And, he, answering, saith unto him Sir! let it alone this year also, until such time as I dig about it, and throw in manure,

9. ഒരു ശബ്ബത്തില് അവന് ഒരു പള്ളിയില് ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു;

9. and if it may bear fruit for the future; but, otherwise, certainly, thou shalt cut it down.

10. അവിടെ പതിനെട്ടു സംവത്സരമായി ഒരു രോഗാത്മാവു ബാധിച്ചിട്ടു ഒട്ടും നിവിരുവാന് കഴിയാതെ കൂനിയായോരു സ്ത്രീ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

10. And he was teaching in one of the synagogues, on the Sabbath.

11. യേശു അവളെ കണ്ടു അടുക്കെ വിളിച്ചുസ്ത്രിയേ, നിന്റെ രോഗബന്ധനം അഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവളുടെ മേല് കൈവെച്ചു.

11. And lo! a woman, having a spirit of weakness eighteen years, and was bowed together, and unable to lift herself up, at all.

12. അവള് ക്ഷണത്തില് നിവിര്ന്നു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.

12. And, seeing her, Jesus called her and said to her Woman! thou art loosed from thy weakness,

13. യേശു ശബ്ബത്തില് സൌഖ്യമാക്കിയതു കൊണ്ടു പള്ളി പ്രമാണി നീരസപ്പെട്ടു പുരുഷാരത്തോടുവേല ചെയ്വാന് ആറുദിവസമുണ്ടല്ലോ; അതിന്നകം വന്നു സൌഖ്യം വരുത്തിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് ; ശബ്ബത്തില് അരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. and laid on her his hands; and, instantly, she was made straight again, and began glorifying God.

14. കര്ത്താവു അവനോടുകപടഭക്തിക്കാരേ, നിങ്ങളില് ഔരോരുത്തന് ശബ്ബത്തില് തന്റെ കാളയെയോ കഴുതയെയോ തൊട്ടിയില് നിന്നു അഴിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ? എന്നാല് സാത്താന് പതിനെട്ടു സംവത്സരമായി ബന്ധിച്ചിരുന്ന അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ മകളായ ഇവളെ ശബ്ബത്തുനാളില് ഈ ബന്ധനം അഴിച്ചു വിടേണ്ടതല്ലയോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

14. But the synagogue-ruler, answering, being greatly displeased that, on the Sabbath, Jesus had healed, began saying unto the multitude Six days, there are, in which men ought to get their work done; On them, therefore, come and be healed, and, not on the day of rest.

15. അവന് ഇതു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള് അവന്റെ വിരോധികള് എല്ലാവരും നാണിച്ചു; അവനാല് നടക്കുന്ന സകല മഹിമകളാലും പുരുഷാരം ഒക്കെയും സന്തോഷിച്ചു.

15. The Lord answered him, and said Hypocrites! Doth not, each one of you, on the Sabbath, loose his ox or ass from the manger, and, leading it away, give it drink?

16. പിന്നെ അവന് പറഞ്ഞതുദൈവരാജ്യം ഏതിനോടു സദൃശം? ഏതിനോടു അതിനെ ഉപമിക്കേണ്ടു?

16. But, this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, lo! eighteen years, was there not a needs-be that she should be loosed from this bond, on the day of rest?

17. ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് എടുത്തു തന്റെ തോട്ടത്തില് ഇട്ട കടുകുമണിയോടു അതു സദൃശം; അതു വളര്ന്നു വൃക്ഷമായി, ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികളും വന്നു അതിന്റെ കൊമ്പുകളില് വസിച്ചു.

17. And, as he was saying, these, things, all who had been setting themselves against him were being put to shame; and, all the multitude, were rejoicing over all the glorious things which were being brought to pass by him.

18. പിന്നെയും അവന് ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ ഏതിനോടു ഉപമിക്കേണ്ടു? അതു പുളിച്ചമാവിനോടു തുല്ല്യം;

18. He went on to say, therefore Whereunto, is the kingdom of God, like? And, whereunto, shall I liken it?

19. അതു ഒരു സ്ത്രീ എടുത്തു മൂന്നുപറ മാവില് ചേര്ത്തു എല്ലാം പുളിച്ചുവരുവോളം അടക്കിവെച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. It is, like, unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and cast into his own garden; and it grew, and became a tree, and, the birds of heaven, lodged amongst its branches.

20. അവന് പട്ടണംതോറും ഗ്രാമംതോറും സഞ്ചരിച്ചു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു യാത്ര ചെയ്തു.

20. And, again, he said Whereunto, shall I liken the kingdom of God?

21. അപ്പോള് ഒരുത്തന് അവനോടുകര്ത്താവേ, രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവര് ചുരുക്കമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു

21. It is, like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, until, the whole, was leavened.

22. ഇടുക്കുവാതിലൂടെ കടപ്പാന് പോരാടുവിന് . പലരും കടപ്പാന് നോക്കും കഴികയില്ലതാനും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

22. And he was journeying on, city by city and village by village, and making, progress, unto Jerusalem.

23. വീട്ടുടയവന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു കതകു അടെച്ചശേഷം നിങ്ങള് പുറത്തുനിന്നുകര്ത്താവേ, തുറന്നു തരേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു കതകിന്നു മുട്ടിത്തുടങ്ങുമ്പോള്നിങ്ങള് എവിടെ നിന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല, എന്നു അവന് ഉത്തരം പറയും.

23. And one said unto him Lord! are they, few, who are being saved? And, he, said unto them

24. അന്നേരം നിങ്ങള്നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഞങ്ങള് തിന്നുകയും കുടിക്കയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ തെരുക്കളില് നീ പഠിക്കയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലൊ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുതുടങ്ങും.

24. Be striving to enter through the narrow door; for, many, I say unto you, will seek to enter, and will not be able,

25. അവനോനിങ്ങള് എവിടെ നിന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു; അനീതി പ്രവൃത്തിക്കുന്ന ഏവരുമായുള്ളോരേ, എന്നെ വിട്ടുപോകുവിന് എന്നു പറയും.

25. when once the householder shall rouse himself, and lock the door, and ye begin to stand, outside, and to knock at the door, saying Lord! open to us; and he shall answer and say unto you I know you not, whence ye are.

26. അവിടെ അബ്രാഹാമും യിസ്ഹാക്കും യാക്കോബും സകല പ്രവാചകന്മാരും ദൈവ രാജ്യത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നതും നിങ്ങളെ പുറത്തു തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞതും നിങ്ങള് കാണുമ്പോള് കരച്ചലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും.

26. Then, will ye begin to say We did eat and drink in thy presence, and, in our broadways, thou didst, teach;

27. കിഴക്കുനിന്നും പടിഞ്ഞാറുനിന്നും തെക്കുനിന്നും വടക്കുനിന്നും അനേകര് വന്നു ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് പന്തിയിലിരിക്കും.
സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 6:8

27. And he will speak, saying unto you I know not whence ye are; Depart from me, all workers of unrighteous

28. മുമ്പന്മാരായ്തീരുന്ന പിമ്പന്മാരുണ്ടു, പിമ്പന്മാരായ്തീരുന്ന മുമ്പന്മാരും ഉണ്ടു.

28. There, will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, as soon as ye see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and, yourselves, being thrust forth outside.

29. ആ നാഴികയില് തന്നേ ചില പരീശന്മാര് അടുത്തുവന്നുഇവിടം വിട്ടു പൊയ്ക്കാള്ക ഹെരോദാവു നിന്നെ കൊല്ലുവാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

29. And they shall have come from east and west, and from north and south, and be made recline in the kingdom of God.

30. അവന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുനിങ്ങള് പോയി ആ കുറുക്കനോടുഞാന് ഇന്നും നാളെയും ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുകയും രോഗശാന്തി വരുത്തുകയും മൂന്നാം നാളില് സമാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

30. And lo! there are, last, who shall be, first, and there are, first, who shall be, last;

31. എങ്കിലും ഇന്നും നാളെയും മറ്റെന്നാളും ഞാന് സഞ്ചരിക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു; യെരൂശലേമിന്നു പുറത്തുവെച്ചു ഒരു പ്രവാചകന് നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നതു അസംഭവ്യമല്ലോ എന്നു പറവിന് .

31. In that very hour, came near certain Pharisees, saying unto him, Go forth, and be journeying hence, because, Herod, desireth to slay thee.

32. യെരൂശലേമേ, യെരൂശലേമേ, പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കൊല്ലുകയും നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവരെ കല്ലെറികയും ചെയ്യുന്നവളേ, കോഴി തന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ ചിറകിന് കീഴില് ചേര്ക്കുംപോലെ നിന്റെ മക്കളെ എത്രവട്ടം ചേര്ത്തുകൊള്വാന് എനിക്കു മനസ്സായിരുന്നു; നിങ്ങള്ക്കോ മനസ്സായില്ല.

32. And he said unto them Go and tell this fox, Lo! I am casting out demons, and, cures, am I finishing, to-day, and to-morrow,

33. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭവനം ശൂന്യമായ്ത്തീരും; കര്ത്താവിന്റെ നാമത്തില് വരുന്നവന് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവന് എന്നു നിങ്ങള് പറയുവോളം നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

33. and, on the third, I am to be made perfect. Nevertheless, I must needs, to-day, and tomorrow, and the following, be journeying on, because it is impossible that a prophet perish, outside Jerusalem.
