1. മടുത്തുപോകാതെ എപ്പോഴും പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കേണം എന്നുള്ളതിന്നു അവന് അവരോടു ഒരുപമ പറഞ്ഞതു

1. Then Yeshua told his [talmidim] a parable, in order to impress on them that they must always keep praying and not lose heart.

2. ദൈവത്തെ ഭയവും മനുഷ്യനെ ശങ്കയുമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ന്യായാധിപന് ഒരു പട്ടണത്തില് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

2. 'In a certain town, there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected other people.

3. ആ പട്ടണത്തില് ഒരു വിധവയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവള് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നുഎന്റെ പ്രതിയോഗിയോടു പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

3. There was also in that town a widow who kept coming to him and saying, 'Give me a judgment against the man who is trying to ruin me.'

4. അവന്നു കുറേ കാലത്തേക്കു മനസ്സില്ലായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവന് എനിക്കു ദൈവത്തെ ഭയവും മനുഷ്യനെ ശങ്കയുമില്ല

4. For a long time he refused; but after awhile, he said to himself, 'I don't fear God, and I don't respect other people;

5. എങ്കിലും വിധവ എന്നെ അസഹ്യമാക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് അവളെ പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കും; അല്ലെങ്കില് അവള് ഒടുവില് വന്നു എന്നെ മുഖത്തടിക്കും എന്നു ഉള്ളുകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു.

5. but because this widow is such a [nudnik], I will see to it that she gets justice- otherwise, she'll keep coming and pestering me till she wears me out!''

6. അനീതിയുള്ള ന്യായാധിപന് പറയുന്നതു കേള്പ്പിന് .

6. Then the Lord commented, 'Notice what this corrupt judge says.

7. ദൈവമോ രാപ്പകല് തന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കുന്ന തന്റെ വൃതന്മാരുടെ കാര്യത്തില് ദീര്ഘ ക്ഷമയുള്ളവന് ആയാലും അവരെ പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കയില്ലയോ?

7. Now won't God grant justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Is he delaying long over them?

8. വേഗത്തില് അവരെ പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു. എന്നാല് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് വരുമ്പോള് അവന് ഭൂമിയില് വിശ്വാസം കണ്ടെത്തുമോ എന്നു കര്ത്താവു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. I tell you that he will judge in their favor, and quickly! But when the Son of Man comes, will he find this trust on the earth at all?'

9. Also, to some who were relying on their own righteousness and looking down on everyone else, he told this parable:

10. രണ്ടു മനുഷ്യര് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പാന് ദൈവാലയത്തില് പോയി; ഒരുത്തന് പരീശന് , മറ്റവന് ചുങ്കക്കാരന് .

10. 'Two men went up to the Temple to pray, one a [Parush] and the other a tax-collector.

11. പരീശന് നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു തന്നോടു തന്നെദൈവമേ, പിടിച്ചു പറിക്കാര്, നീതി കെട്ടവര്, വ്യഭിചാരികള് മുതലായ ശേഷം മനുഷ്യരെപ്പോലെയോ ഈ ചുങ്കക്കാരനെപ്പോലെയോ ഞാന് അല്ലായ്കയാല് നിന്നെ വാഴ്ത്തുന്നു.

11. The [Parush] stood and prayed to himself, 'O God! I thank you that I am not like the rest of humanity- greedy, dishonest, immoral, or like this tax-collector!

12. ആഴ്ചയില് രണ്ടുവട്ടം ഉപവസിക്കുന്നു; നേടുന്നതില് ഒക്കെയും പതാരം കൊടുത്തുവരുന്നു; എന്നിങ്ങനെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു.

12. I fast twice a week, I pay tithes on my entire income,...'

13. ചുങ്കക്കാരനോ ദൂരത്തു നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തേക്കു നോക്കുവാമ്പോലും തുനിയാതെ മാറത്തടിച്ചുദൈവമേ, പാപിയായ എന്നോടു കരുണയുണ്ടാകേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 51:1

13. But the tax-collector, standing far off, would not even raise his eyes toward heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God! Have mercy on me, sinner that I am!'

14. അവന് നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനായി വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി; മറ്റവന് അങ്ങനെയല്ല. തന്നെത്താന് ഉയര്ത്തുന്നവന് എല്ലാം താഴ്ത്തപ്പെടും; തന്നെത്താന് താഴ്ത്തുന്നവന് എല്ലാം ഉയര്ത്തപ്പെടും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

14. I tell you, this man went down to his home right with God rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but everyone who humbles himself will be exalted.'

15. അവന് തൊടേണ്ടതിന്നു ചിലര് ശിശുക്കളെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അതുകണ്ടു അവരെ ശാസിച്ചു.

15. People brought him babies to touch; but when the [talmidim] saw the people doing this, they rebuked them.

16. യേശുവോ അവരെ അരികത്തു വിളിച്ചുപൈതങ്ങളെ എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുവാന് വിടുവിന് ; അവരെ തടുക്കരുതു; ദൈവരാജ്യം ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരുടേതു ആകുന്നു.

16. However, Yeshua called the children to him and said, 'Let the children come to me, and stop hindering them, because the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

17. ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ ശിശുഎന്നപോലെ കൈക്കൊള്ളാത്തവന് ആരും ഒരുനാളും അതില് കടക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

17. Yes! I tell you that whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will not enter it at all!'

18. ഒരു പ്രമാണി അവനോടുനല്ല ഗുരോ, ഞാന് നിത്യജീവനെ അവകാശമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

18. One of the leaders asked him, 'Good rabbi, what should I do to obtain eternal life?'

19. അതിന്നു യേശുഎന്നെ നല്ലവന് എന്നു പറയുന്നതു എന്തു? ദൈവം ഒരുവനല്ലാതെ നല്ലവന് ആരും ഇല്ല. വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുതു

19. Yeshua said to him, 'Why are you calling me good? No one is good but God!

20. കുല ചെയ്യരുതു; മോഷ്ടിക്കരുതു; കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷ്യം പറയരുതു; നിന്റെ അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും ബഹുമാനിക്ക എന്നീ കല്പനകളെ നീ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

20. You know the [mitzvot]- 'Don't commit adultery, don't murder, don't steal, don't give false testimony, honor your father and mother,...''

21. ഇവ ഒക്കെയും ഞാന് ചെറുപ്പം മുതല് കാത്തു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞതു കേട്ടിട്ടു

21. He replied, 'I have kept all these since I was a boy.'

22. യേശുഇനി ഒരു കുറവു നിനക്കുണ്ടു; നിനക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും വിറ്റു ദരിദ്രന്മാര്ക്കും പകുത്തുകൊടുക്ക; എന്നാല് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിനക്കു നിക്ഷേപം ഉണ്ടാകും; പിന്നെ വന്നു എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. On hearing this Yeshua said to him, 'There is one thing you still lack. Sell whatever you have, distribute the proceeds to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven. Then come, follow me!'

23. അവന് എത്രയും ധനവാനാകകൊണ്ടു ഇതു കേട്ടിട്ടു അതിദുഃഖതിനായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

23. But when the man heard this, he became very sad, because he was very rich.

24. യേശു അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുസമ്പത്തുള്ളവര് ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് കടക്കുന്നതു എത്ര പ്രയാസം!

24. Yeshua looked at him and said, 'How hard it is for people with wealth to enter the Kingdom of God!

25. ധനവാന് ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് കടക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാള് ഒട്ടകം സൂചിക്കുഴയൂടെ കടക്കുന്നതു എളുപ്പം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. It's easier for a camel to pass through a needle's eye than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God!'

26. ഇതു കേട്ടവര്എന്നാല് രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവാന് ആര്ക്കും കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

26. Those who heard this asked, 'Then who can be saved?'

27. അതിന്നു അവന് മനുഷ്യരാല് അസാദ്ധ്യമായതു ദൈവത്താല് സാദ്ധ്യമാകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

27. He said, 'What is impossible humanly is possible with God.'

28. ഇതാ ഞങ്ങള് സ്വന്തമായതു വിട്ടു നിന്നെ അനുഗമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പത്രൊസ് പറഞ്ഞു.

28. Kefa said, 'Look, we have left our homes and followed you.'

29. യേശു അവരോടുദൈവരാജ്യം നിമിത്തം വീടോ ഭാര്യയെയോ സഹോദരന്മാരെയോ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരെയോ മക്കളെയോ വിട്ടുകളഞ്ഞിട്ടു

29. Yeshua answered them, 'Yes! I tell you that everyone who has left house, wife, brothers, parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,

30. ഈ കാലത്തില് തന്നേ പല മടങ്ങായും വരുവാനുള്ള ലോകത്തില് നിത്യജീവനെയും പ്രാപിക്കാത്തവന് ആരും ഇല്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളാടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

30. will receive many times as much in the ['olam hazeh], and in the ['olam haba] eternal life.'

31. അനന്തരം അവന് പന്തിരുവരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു അവരോടുഇതാ നാം യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു പോകുന്നു; മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രവാചകന്മാര് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു എല്ലാം നിവൃത്തിയാകും.

31. Then, taking the Twelve, Yeshua said to them, 'We are now going up to Yerushalayim, where everything written through the prophets about the Son of Man will come true.

32. അവനെ ജാതികള്ക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും അവര് അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു അവമാനിച്ചു തുപ്പി തല്ലീട്ടു കൊല്ലുകയും

32. For he will be handed over to the [Goyim] and be ridiculed, insulted and spat upon.

33. മൂന്നാം നാള് അവന് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

33. Then, after they have beaten him, they will kill him. But on the third day he will rise.'

34. അവരോ ഇതു ഒന്നും ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല; ഈ വാക്കു അവര്ക്കും മറവായിരുന്നു; പറഞ്ഞതു അവര് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞതുമില്ല.

34. However, they understood none of this; its meaning had been hidden from them, and they had no idea what he was talking about.

35. അവന് യെരീഹോവിന്നു അടുത്തപ്പോള് ഒരു കുരുടന് ഇരന്നുകൊണ്ടു വഴിയരികെ ഇരുന്നിരുന്നു.

35. As Yeshua approached Yericho, a blind man was sitting by the road, begging.

36. പുരുഷാരം കടന്നു പോകുന്നതു കേട്ടുഇതെന്തു എന്നു അവന് ചോദിച്ചു.

36. When he heard the crowd going past, he asked what it was all about;

37. നസറായനായ യേശു കടന്നുപോകുന്നു എന്നു അവര് അവനോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

37. and they told him, 'Yeshua from Natzeret is passing by.'

38. അപ്പോള് അവന് യേശുവേ, ദാവീദുപുത്രാ, എന്നോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു.

38. He called out, 'Yeshua! Son of David! Have pity on me!'

39. മുന് നടക്കുന്നവര് അവനെ മിണ്ടാതിരിപ്പാന് ശാസിച്ചു; അവനോദിവീദുപുത്രാ എന്നോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ എന്നു ഏറ്റവും അധികം നിലവിളിച്ചു.

39. Those in front scolded him in order to get him to shut up, but he shouted all the louder, 'Son of David! Have pity on me!'

40. യേശു നിന്നു, അവനെ തന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരുവാന് കല്പിച്ചു.

40. Yeshua stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he had come, Yeshua asked him,

41. ഞാന് നിനക്കു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. കര്ത്താവേ, എനിക്കു കാഴ്ച കിട്ടേണം എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

41. 'What do you want me to do for you?' The blind man said, 'Lord, let me be able to see.'

42. യേശു അവനോടുകാഴ്ച പ്രാപിക്ക; നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം നിന്നെ രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

42. Yeshua said to him, 'See again! your trust has healed you!'

43. ക്ഷണത്തില് അവന് കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വീകരിച്ചും കൊണ്ടു അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു; ജനം എല്ലാം കണ്ടിട്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്നു പുകഴ്ച കൊടുത്തു.

43. Instantly he received his sight and began following him, glorifying God; and when all the people saw it, they too praised God.
