1. ദൈവേഷ്ടത്താല് യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ അപ്പൊസ്തലനായി വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട പൌലൊസും സഹോദരനായ സോസ്തെനേസും കൊരിന്തിലുള്ള ദൈവസഭെക്കു,

1. Paule called [to be] an Apostle of Iesu Christ, through the wyll of God, and brother Sostenes:

2. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരും അവിടെയും ഇവിടെയും എവിടെയും നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുന്ന ഏവരോടുംകൂടെ വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുമായവര്ക്കും തന്നേ, എഴുതുന്നതു;

2. Unto the Church of God whiche is at Corinthus: To the that are sanctified in Christe Iesus, saintes by callyng, with all that call on the name of our Lorde Iesus Christe in euery place, both of theirs and ours:

3. നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കല് നിന്നും കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിങ്കല് നിന്നും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

3. Grace be vnto you, and peace from God our father, and from the Lorde Iesus Christe.

4. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് നല്കപ്പെട്ട ദൈവകൃപനിമിത്തം ഞാന് എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു എപ്പോഴും സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

4. I thanke my God alwayes on your behalfe, for the grace of God whiche is geuen you in Iesus Christe:

5. ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം നിങ്ങളില് ഉറപ്പായിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ

5. That in all thynges ye are made riche in hym, in all vtteraunce, & in all knowledge:

6. അവനില് നിങ്ങള് സകലത്തിലും വിശേഷാല് സകല വചനത്തിലും സകല പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിലും സമ്പന്നരായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

6. As the testimonie of Iesus Christ was confirmed in you.

7. ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങള് ഒരു കൃപാവരത്തിലും കുറവില്ലാത്തവരായി നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷത കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. So that ye are destitute of no gyft, wayting for the appearing of our Lord Iesus Christe,

8. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാളില് കുറ്റമില്ലാത്തവരായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് നിങ്ങളെ അവസാനത്തോളം ഉറപ്പിക്കും.

8. Whiche shall also strength you vnto the ende, that ye may be blamelesse in the day of our Lord Iesus Christ.

9. തന്റെ പുത്രനും നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ കൂട്ടായ്മയിലേക്കു നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ദൈവം വിശ്വസ്തന് .

9. God is faythfull, by whom ye are called vnto the felowship of his sonne Iesus Christe our Lorde.

10. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങള് എല്ലാവരും ഒന്നു തന്നേ സംസാരിക്കയും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഭിന്നത ഭവിക്കാതെ ഏകമനസ്സിലും ഏകാഭിപ്രായത്തിലും യോജിച്ചിരിക്കയും വേണം എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാമം ചൊല്ലി പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

10. Nowe I beseche you brethren by the name of our Lorde Iesus Christe, that ye all speake one thyng, and that there be no discentions among you, but be ye knit together, in one mynde, and in one meanyng.

11. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് പിണക്കം ഉണ്ടെന്നു ക്ളോവയുടെ ആളുകളാല് എനിക്കു അറിവു കിട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. For it is shewed vnto me my brethren, of you, by them whiche are of the house of Cloe, that there are contentions among you.

12. നിങ്ങളില് ഔരോരുത്തന് ഞാന് പൌലൊസിന്റെ പക്ഷക്കാരന് , ഞാന് അപ്പൊല്ലോസിന്റെ പക്ഷക്കാരന് , ഞാന് കേഫാവിന്റെ പക്ഷക്കാരന് , ഞാന് ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പക്ഷക്കാരന് എന്നിങ്ങനെ പറയുന്നു പോല്.

12. Nowe this I saye, that euery one of you saith, I am of Paul, and I am of Apollo, and I am of Cephas, and I am of Christe.

13. ക്രിസ്തു വിഭാഗിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവോ? പൌലൊസ് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ടുവോ? അല്ല, പൌലൊസിന്റെ നാമത്തില് നിങ്ങള് സ്നാനം ഏറ്റുവോ?

13. Is Christe deuided? was Paul crucified for you? eyther were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

14. എന്റെ നാമത്തില് ഞാന് സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നു ആരും പറയാതവണ്ണം

14. I thanke God that I baptized none of you but Crispus and Gaius:

15. ക്രിസ്പൊസിനെയും ഗായൊസിനെയും ഒഴികെ നിങ്ങളില് ആരെയും ഞാന് സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിക്കായ്കയാല് ഞാന് ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

15. Lest any shoulde say, that I had baptized in myne owne name.

16. സ്തെഫനാസിന്റെ ഭവനക്കാരെയും ഞാന് സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചു; അതല്ലാതെ മറ്റു വല്ലവരെയും സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചുവോ എന്നു ഞാന് ഔര്ക്കുംന്നില്ല.

16. I baptized also the housholde of Stephana: Furthermore knowe I not whether I baptized any other.

17. സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിപ്പാന് അല്ല സുവിശേഷം അറിയിപ്പാനത്രെ ക്രിസ്തു എന്നെ അയച്ചതു; ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ക്രൂശു വ്യര്ത്ഥമാകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു വാക്ചാതുര്യത്തോടെ അല്ലതാനും.

17. For Christe sent me not to baptize, but to preache the Gospell: not with wisedome of wordes, lest ye crosse of Christ shoulde be made of none effect.

18. ക്രൂശിന്റെ വചനം നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നവര്ക്കും ഭോഷത്വവും രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന നമുക്കോ ദൈവശക്തിയും ആകുന്നു.

18. For the preachyng of the crosse, is to them that perishe foolishnesse: but vnto vs which are saued, it is the power of God.

19. “ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ ജ്ഞാനം ഞാന് നശിപ്പിക്കയും ബുദ്ധിമാന്മാരുടെ ബുദ്ധി ദുര്ബ്ബലമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
യെശയ്യാ 29:14

19. For it is written, I wyll destroye the wisedome of the wyse, and wyll cast away the vnderstandyng of the prudent.

20. ജ്ഞാനി എവിടെ? ശാസ്ത്രി എവിടെ? ഈ ലോകത്തിലെ താര്ക്കികന് എവിടെ? ലോകത്തിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനം ദൈവം ഭോഷത്വമാക്കിയില്ലയോ?

20. Where is the wise? where is ye scribe? where is the disputer of this worlde? Hath not God made the wisedome of this worlde foolyshenesse?

21. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്തില് ലോകം ജ്ഞാനത്താല് ദൈവത്തെ അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവരെ പ്രസംഗത്തിന്റെ ഭോഷത്വത്താല് രക്ഷിപ്പാന് ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദം തോന്നി.

21. For after that the world through wisedome knewe not God, in the wisedome of God: it pleased God through foolishnesse of preachyng to saue them that beleue.

22. യെഹൂദന്മാര് അടയാളം ചോദിക്കയും യവനന്മാര് ജ്ഞാനം അന്വേഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു;

22. For the Iewes require a signe, & the Grekes seke after wisedome:

23. ഞങ്ങളോ ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ട ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നു; യെഹൂദന്മാര്ക്കും ഇടര്ച്ചയും

23. But we preache Christe crucified, vnto the Iewes a stumblyng blocke, and vnto the Grekes foolyshnesse:

24. ജാതികള്ക്കു ഭോഷത്വവുമെങ്കിലും യെഹൂദന്മാരാകട്ടെ യവനന്മാരാകട്ടെ വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട ഏവര്ക്കും ദൈവശക്തിയും ദൈവജ്ഞാനവുമായ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ തന്നേ.

24. But vnto them which are called both of the Iewes and Grekes [we preache] Christe the power of God, and the wisedome of God.

25. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഭോഷത്വം മനുഷ്യരെക്കാള് ജ്ഞാനമേറിയതും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ബലഹീനത മനുഷ്യരെക്കാള് ബലമേറിയതും ആകുന്നു.

25. For the foolishnesse of God, is wiser then men, and the weakenesse of God, is stronger then men.

26. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ വിളിയെ നോക്കുവിന് ലോകാഭിപ്രായപ്രകാരം ജ്ഞാനികള് ഏറെയില്ല, ബലവാന്മാര് ഏറെയില്ല, കുലീനന്മാരും ഏറെയില്ല.

26. Brethren, ye see your callyng, howe that not many wise men after the fleshe, not many myghtie, not many noble [are called.]

27. ജ്ഞാനികളെ ലജ്ജിപ്പിപ്പാന് ദൈവം ലോകത്തില് ഭോഷത്വമായതു തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു; ബലമുള്ളതിനെ ലജ്ജിപ്പിപ്പാന് ദൈവം ലോകത്തില് ബലഹീനമായതു തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു.

27. But God hath chosen the foolyshe thynges of the worlde, to confounde the wise: And God hath chosen the weake thynges of the worlde, to confounde thynges which are myghtie:

28. ഉള്ളതിനെ ഇല്ലായ്മയാക്കുവാന് ദൈവം ലോകത്തില് കുലഹീനവും നികൃഷ്ടവുമായതും ഏതുമില്ലാത്തതും തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു;

28. And vnnoble thynges of the worlde, & thinges which are despysed, hath God chosen, [yea] and thinges which are not, to bryng to naught thynges that are:

29. ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് ഒരു ജഡവും പ്രശംസിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.

29. That no fleshe shoulde reioyce in his presence.

30. നിങ്ങളോ അവനാല് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു. അവന് നമുക്കു ദൈവത്തിങ്കല് നിന്നു ജ്ഞാനവും നീതിയും ശുദ്ധീകരണവും വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുമായിത്തീര്ന്നു.
യിരേമ്യാവു 23:5-6

30. And of hym are ye in Christe Iesu, whiche of God is made vnto vs wisedome, and righteousnesse, and sanctification, and redemption:

31. “പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നവന് കര്ത്താവില് പ്രശംസിക്കട്ടെ” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.

31. That accordyng as it is written: he that reioyceth, let hym reioyce in the Lorde.
