1. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ദുര്ന്നടപ്പു ഉണ്ടെന്നു കേള്ക്കുന്നു. ഒരുത്തന് തന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ ഭാര്യ്യയെ വെച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നുപോല്; അതു ജാതികളില്പോലും ഇല്ലാത്ത ദുര്ന്നടപ്പു തന്നേ.

1. There goeth a common saying(report) that there is fornication(whoredom) among you, and such fornication(whoredom) as is not once named among the gentiles:(heathen) that one should have his father's wife.

2. എന്നിട്ടും നിങ്ങള് ചീര്ത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഈ ദുഷ്കര്മ്മം ചെയ്തവനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് നിന്നു നീക്കുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം നിങ്ങള് ദുഃഖിച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല.

2. And ye swell(are puft up) and have not rather sorrowed, that he which hath done this deed might be put from among you.

3. ഞാനോ ശരീരംകൊണ്ടു ദൂരസ്ഥന് എങ്കിലും ആത്മാവുകൊണ്ടു കൂടെയുള്ളവനായി, നിങ്ങളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ ഇരിക്കുന്നവനായി തന്നേ, ഈ ദുഷ്കര്മ്മം ചെയ്തവനെക്കുറിച്ചു

3. For I verily as absent in body, even so present in spirit, have determined already (as though I were present) of him that hath done this deed,

4. നിങ്ങളും എന്റെ ആത്മാവും നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുവിന്റെ ശക്തിയോടെ ഒന്നിച്ചു കൂടീട്ടു നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുവിന്റെ നാമത്തില് അവനെ,

4. in the name of our Lord Jesu Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of the Lord Jesus Christ,

5. ആത്മാവു കര്ത്താവായ യേശുവിന്റെ നാളില് രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു ജഡസംഹാരത്തിന്നായി സാത്താന്നു ഏല്പിക്കേണം എന്നു വിധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. to deliver him unto Satan, for the destruction of the flesh that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

6. നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രശംസ നന്നല്ല; അസാരം പുളിമാവു പിണ്ഡത്തെ മുഴുവനും പുളിപ്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ?

6. Your rejoicing is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven sowereth the whole lump of dough?

7. നിങ്ങള് പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്തവരായിരിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം പുതിയ പിണ്ഡം ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു പഴയ പുളിമാവിനെ നീക്കിക്കളവിന് . നമ്മുടെ പെസഹകൂഞ്ഞാടും അറുക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ക്രിസ്തു തന്നേ.

7. Purge therefore the old leaven, that ye may be new dough as ye are sweet bread. For Christ our ester lamb is offered up for us.

8. ആകയാല് നാം പഴയ പുളിമാവുകൊണ്ടല്ല, തിന്മയും ദുഷ്ടതയും ആയ പുളിമാവുകൊണ്ടുമല്ല, സ്വച്ഛതയും സത്യവുമായ പുളിപ്പില്ലായ്മകൊണ്ടുതന്നേ ഉത്സവം ആചരിക്ക.

8. Therefore let us keep holyday, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of maliciousness and wickedness but with the sweet bread of pureness and truth.

9. ദുര്ന്നടപ്പുകാരോടു സംസര്ഗ്ഗം അരുതു എന്നു ഞാന് എന്റെ ലേഖനത്തില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എഴുതീട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ.

9. I wrote unto you in the(an) pistel(Epistle) that ye should not company with fornicators.(have nothing to do with whoremongers)

10. അതു ഈ ലോകത്തിലെ ദുര്ന്നടപ്പുകാരോടോ അത്യാഗ്രഹികളോടോ പിടിച്ചുപറിക്കാരോടോ വിഗ്രഹാരാധികളോടോ അരുതു എന്നല്ലല്ലോ; അങ്ങനെ എങ്കില് നിങ്ങള് ലോകം വിട്ടു പോകേണ്ടിവരും.

10. And I meant not at all of the fornicators(whoremongers) of this world, either of the covetous, or of extortioners, either of (the) idolaters:(that worhsip images) for then must ye needs have gone out of the world:

12. പുറത്തുള്ളവരെ വിധിപ്പാന് എനിക്കു എന്തു കാര്യ്യം? നിങ്ങള് അകത്തുള്ളവരെ അല്ലയോ വിധിക്കുന്നതു; പുറത്തുള്ളവരെ ദൈവം വിധിക്കുന്നു.

12. For what have I to do to judge them which are without? Do ye not judge them that are within?

13. ആ ദുഷ്ടനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളവിന് .

13. Them that are without, God shall judge. Put away from among you that evil person.
