1. വിശുദ്ധന്മാര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി നടത്തുന്ന ദ്രവ്യശേഖരത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എഴുതുവാന് ആവശ്യമില്ലല്ലോ.

1. For, indeed, concerning the ministry which is for the saints, it is, superfluous for me, to be writing to you;

2. അഖായ കിഴാണ്ടുമുതല് ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു മക്കെദോന്യരോടു പ്രശംസിച്ചുവരുന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ മനസ്സൊരുക്കം ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ എരിവു മിക്കപേര്ക്കും ഉത്സാഹകാരണമായിത്തീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. For I know your forwardness of mind of which, in your behalf, I am boasting unto Macedonians, that, Achaia, hath been prepared for a year past, and, your zeal, hath stirred up the greater number of them.

3. നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞങ്ങള് പറയുന്ന പ്രശംസ ഈ കാര്യ്യത്തില് വ്യര്ത്ഥമാകാതെ ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ നിങ്ങള് ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ ഞാന് സഹോദരന്മാരേ അയച്ചതു.

3. Nevertheless I have sent the brethren, that, our boast in your behalf, be not made void, in this respect, that, even as I was saying, ye may be prepared,

4. അല്ലെങ്കില് പക്ഷെ മക്കെദോന്യര് എന്നോടുകൂടെ വരികയും നിങ്ങളെ ഒരുങ്ങാത്തവരായി കാണുകയും ചെയ്താല് നിങ്ങള് എന്നല്ല ഞങ്ങള് തന്നേ ഈ അതിധൈര്യ്യം നിമിത്തം ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകുമല്ലോ.

4. Lest by any means, if there should come with me Macedonians, and find you unprepared, we, not to say, ye, should be put to shame in this confidence.

5. ആകയാല് സഹോദരന്മാര് ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു മുമ്പായി അങ്ങോട്ടു വരികയും നിങ്ങള് മുമ്പെ വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്ത അനുഗ്രഹം പിശുക്കായിട്ടല്ല അനുഗ്രഹമായിട്ടു ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം മുമ്പുകൂട്ടി ഒരുക്കിവെക്കയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരോടു അപേക്ഷിപ്പാന് ആവശ്യം എന്നു ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു തോന്നി.

5. Necessary, therefore, I regarded it, to exhort the brethren that they would go forward unto you, and make up beforehand your previously- promised blessing. The same, to be ready thus, as a blessing, and not as of constraint.

6. എന്നാല് ലോഭമായി വിതെക്കുന്നവന് ലോഭമായി കൊയ്യും; ധാരാളമായി വിതെക്കുന്നവന് ധാരളമായി കൊയ്യും എന്നു ഔര്ത്തുകൊള്വിന് .

6. As to this, however, he that soweth sparingly, sparingly, also shall reap, and, he that soweth with blessings, with blessings, also shall reap:

7. അവനവന് ഹൃദയത്തില് നിശ്ചയിച്ചതുപോലെ കൊടുക്കട്ടെ. സങ്കടത്തോടെ അരുതു; നിര്ബ്ബന്ധത്താലുമരുതു; സന്തോഷത്തോടെ കൊടുക്കുന്നവനെ ദൈവം സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

7. Each one, according as he hath purposed in his heart, not sorrowfully, nor of necessity, for, a cheerful giver, God, loveth.

8. നിങ്ങള് സകലത്തിലും എപ്പോഴും പൂര്ണ്ണതൃപ്തിയുള്ളവരായി സകല സല്പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും പെരുകി വരുമാറു നിങ്ങളില് സകലകൃപയും പെരുക്കുവാന് ദൈവം ശക്തന് ആകുന്നു.

8. Moreover God is able to cause, every gracious gift, to superabound unto you, in order that, having in every thing, at every time, every kind of sufficiency of your own, ye may be superabounding unto every good work;

9. “അവന് വാരിവിതറി ദരിദ്രന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നീതി എന്നേക്കും നിലനിലക്കുന്നു” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

9. Even as it is written He hath scattered abroad, he hath given to the needy, his righteousness, abideth to futurity.

10. എന്നാല് വിതെക്കുന്നവന്നു വിത്തും ഭക്ഷിപ്പാന് ആഹാരവും നലകുന്നവന് നിങ്ങളുടെ വിതയും നല്കി പൊലിപ്പിക്കയും നിങ്ങളുടെ നീതിയുടെ വിളവു വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

10. Now, he that supplieth seed to the sower, and bread for eating, will supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and cause to grow your fruits of righteousness:

11. ഇങ്ങനെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു ഞങ്ങളാല് സ്തോത്രം വരുവാന് കാരണമായിരിക്കുന്ന ഔദാര്യ്യം ഒക്കെയും കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങള് സകലത്തിലും സമ്പന്നന്മാര് ആകും.

11. In every thing, being enriched, unto every kind of liberality, which, indeed, worketh out, through us, thanksgiving unto God;

12. ഈ നടത്തുന്ന ധര്മ്മശേഖരം വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ ബദ്ധിമുട്ടു തീര്ക്കുംന്നതുമല്ലാതെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു അനവധി സ്തോത്രം വരുവാന് കാരണവും ആകുന്നു.

12. Because, the ministry of this public service, is not only towards filling up the deficiencies of the saints, but also superabounding, through the thanksgiving of many, unto God,

13. ഈ സഹായത്താല് തെളിയുന്ന സിദ്ധത ഹേതുവായി ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സുവിശേഷം നിങ്ങള് സ്വീകരിച്ച അനുസരണംനിമിത്തവും അവരോടും എല്ലാവരോടും നിങ്ങള് കാണിക്കുന്ന കൂട്ടായ്മയുടെ ഔദാര്യ്യം നിമിത്തവും അവര് ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും.

13. Of many who, through the proof of this ministry, are glorifying God for your acknowledged submission unto the glad-message of the Christ, and for the liberality of the fellowship, unto them, and unto all,

14. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ലഭിച്ച അതിമഹത്തായ ദൈവകൃപനിമിത്തം അവര് നിങ്ങളെ കാണ്മാന് വാഞ്ഛിച്ചു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കും.

14. Themselves also, with supplication on your behalf, longing after you, by reason of the surpassing favour of God resting upon you:

15. പറഞ്ഞുതീരാത്ത ദാനം നിമിത്തം ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം.

15. Thanks be unto God, for his unspeakable bounty!
