1. ഹാ ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത ഗലാത്യരേ, യേശു ക്രിസ്തു ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനായി നിങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണിന്നു മുമ്പില് വരെച്ചുകിട്ടിയിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങളെ ക്ഷുദ്രംചെയ്തു മയക്കിയതു ആര്?

1. O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you that ye should not trust in the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ has been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

2. ഞാന് ഇതൊന്നു മാത്രം നിങ്ങളോടു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ആത്മാവു ലഭിച്ചതു ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയാലോ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ പ്രസംഗം കേട്ടതിനാലോ?

2. This only would I learn of you, Did ye receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by the [obedient] ear of faith?

3. നിങ്ങള് ഇത്ര ബുദ്ധികെട്ടവരോ? ആത്മാവുകൊണ്ടു ആരംഭിച്ചിട്ടു ഇപ്പോള് ജഡംകൊണ്ടോ സമാപിക്കുന്നതു? ഇത്ര എല്ലാം വെറുതെ അനുഭവിച്ചുവോ?

3. Are ye so foolish? having begun by the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

4. വെറുതെ അത്രേ എന്നു വരികില്,

4. Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if [it be] yet in vain.

5. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ആത്മാവിനെ നല്കി നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികളെ ചെയ്യുന്നവന് ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയാലോ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ പ്രസംഗത്താലോ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നതു?

5. He therefore that gives unto you the Spirit and does works of power among you, [does he do it] by the works of the law or by the [obedient] ear of faith?

6. അബ്രാഹാം ദൈവത്തില് വിശ്വസിച്ചു; അതു അവന്നു നീതിയായി കണക്കിട്ടു എന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ.

6. Even as Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

7. അതുകൊണ്ടു വിശ്വാസികള് അത്രേ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ മക്കള് എന്നു അറിവിന് .

7. Know ye therefore that those who are of faith, the same are the sons of Abraham.

8. എന്നാല് ദൈവം വിശ്വാസംമൂലം ജാതികളെ നീതീകരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു തിരുവെഴുത്തു മുന് കണ്ടിട്ടു“നിന്നാല് സകലജാതികളും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും” എന്നുള്ള സുവിശേഷം അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു മുമ്പുകൂട്ടി അറിയിച്ചു.

8. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles through faith, evangelized Abraham in advance, [saying], In thee shall all the Gentiles be blessed.

9. അങ്ങനെ വിശ്വാസികള് വിശ്വാസിയായ അബ്രാഹാമിനോടുകൂടെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

9. So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer.

10. എന്നാല് ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയില് ആശ്രയിക്കുന്ന ഏവരും ശാപത്തിന് കീഴാകുന്നു; ന്യായപ്രമാണപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്വാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അതില് നിലനില്ക്കാത്തവന് എല്ലാം ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവന് എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

10. For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that continues not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

11. എന്നാല് ന്യായപ്രമാണത്താല് ആരും ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നില്ല എന്നതു സ്പഷ്ടം; “നീതിമാന് വിശ്വാസത്താല് ജീവിക്കും” എന്നല്ലോ ഉള്ളതു.

11. But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God, [it is] evident, for The just shall live by faith.

12. ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്നോ വിശ്വാസമല്ല ആധാരമായിരിക്കുന്നതു; “അതു ചെയ്യുന്നവന് അതിനാല് ജീവിക്കും” എന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ.

12. And the law is not of faith, but The man that does [the commandments] shall live by them.

13. “മരത്തിന്മേല് തൂങ്ങുന്നവന് എല്ലാം ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവന് ”എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ക്രിസ്തു നമുക്കുവേണ്ടി ശാപമായിത്തീര്ന്നു. ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ ശാപത്തില്നിന്നു നമ്മെ വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങി.

13. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, (for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangs on a tree),

14. അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹം ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് ജാതികള്ക്കു വരേണ്ടതിന്നു നാം ആത്മാവെന്ന വാഗ്ദത്തവിഷയം വിശ്വാസത്താല് പ്രാപിപ്പാന് തന്നേ.

14. That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

15. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഞാന് മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയില് നടപ്പുള്ള ഒരു ദൃഷ്ടാന്തം പറയാംഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ നിയമം ആയാലും, അതിന്നു ഉറപ്പു വന്നശേഷം ആരും ദുര്ബ്ബലമാക്കുകയോ അതിനോടു വല്ലതും കൂട്ടിക്കല്പിക്കയോ ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല.

15. Brethren, (I speak after the manner of men) Even when a covenant is of man, once it is confirmed, no one cancels it or adds to it.

16. എന്നാല് അബ്രാഹാമിന്നും അവന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും വാഗ്ദത്തങ്ങള് ലഭിച്ചു; സന്തതികള്ക്കും എന്നു അനേകരെക്കുറിച്ചല്ല, നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും എന്നു ഏകനെക്കുറിച്ചത്രേ പറയുന്നതു; അതു ക്രിസ്തു തന്നേ.

16. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He did not say, And to seeds, as of many, but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

17. ഞാന് പറയുന്നതിന്റെ താല്പര്യമോനാനൂറ്റിമുപ്പതു ആണ്ടു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഉണ്ടായ ന്യായപ്രമാണം വാഗ്ദത്തത്തെ നീക്കുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അതു ദൈവം മുമ്പു ഉറപ്പാക്കിയ നിയമത്തെ ദുര്ബ്ബലമാക്കുന്നില്ല.

17. And this I say [that regarding] the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot cancel it, that it should make the promise of no effect.

18. അവകാശം ന്യായപ്രമാണത്താല് എങ്കില് വാഗ്ദത്തത്താലല്ല വരുന്നതു; അബ്രാഹാമിന്നോ ദൈവം അതിനെ വാഗ്ദത്തം മൂലം നല്കി.

18. For if the inheritance [is] of the law, [it is] no longer of promise; but God gave [it] to Abraham by promise.

19. എന്നാല് ന്യായപ്രമാണം എന്തിന്നു? വാഗ്ദത്തം ലഭിച്ച സന്തതിവരുവോളം അതു ലംഘനങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ത്തതും ദൂതന്മാര് മുഖാന്തരം മദ്ധ്യസ്ഥന്റെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിച്ചതുമത്രേ.

19. For what then [serves] the law? It was added because of rebellions until the seed should come to whom the promise was made, [and it was] ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

20. ഒരുത്തന് മാത്രം എങ്കില് മദ്ധ്യസ്ഥന് വേണ്ടിവരികയില്ല; ദൈവമോ ഒരുത്തന് മാത്രം.

20. Now a mediator is not [a mediator] of one, but God is one.

21. എന്നാല് ന്യായപ്രമാണം ദൈവവാഗ്ദത്തങ്ങള്ക്കു വിരോധമോ? ഒരുനാളും അല്ല; ജീവിപ്പിപ്പാന് കഴിയുന്നോരു ന്യായപ്രമാണം നല്കിയിരുന്നു എങ്കില് ന്യായപ്രമാണം വാസ്തവമായി നീതിക്കു ആധാരമാകുമായിരുന്നു.

21. [Is] the law then against the promises of God? No, in no wise, for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

22. എങ്കിലും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും വാഗ്ദത്തം യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിലെ വിശ്വാസത്താല് ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തിരുവെഴുത്തു എല്ലാവറ്റെയും പാപത്തിന് കീഴടെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

22. But the scripture has concluded all under sin that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to the believers.

23. വിശ്വാസം വരുംമുമ്പെ നമ്മെ വെളിപ്പെടുവാനിരുന്ന വിശ്വാസത്തിന്നായിക്കൊണ്ടു ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിങ്കീഴ് അടെച്ചു സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്നു.

23. But before faith came, we were under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

24. അങ്ങനെ നാം വിശ്വാസത്താല് നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു ന്യായപ്രമാണം ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്കു നടത്തുവാന് നമുക്കു ശിശുപാലകനായി ഭവിച്ചു.

24. Therefore the law was our schoolmaster [to bring us] unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

25. വിശ്വാസം വന്ന ശേഷമോ നാം ഇനി ശിശുപാലകന്റെ കീഴില് അല്ല.

25. But when faith is come, we are no longer under [the hand] of the schoolmaster.

26. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിലെ വിശ്വാസത്താല് നിങ്ങള് എല്ലാവരും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മക്കള് ആകുന്നു.

26. For ye are all sons of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

27. ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടു ചേരുവാന് സ്നാനം ഏറ്റിരിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ ധരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

27. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

28. അതില് യെഹൂദനും യവനനും എന്നില്ല; ദാസനും സ്വതന്ത്രനും എന്നില്ല, ആണും പെണ്ണും എന്നുമില്ല; നിങ്ങള് എല്ലാവരും ക്രിസ്തു യേശുവില് ഒന്നത്രേ.

28. [Here] there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

29. ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നുള്ളവര് എങ്കിലോ നിങ്ങള് അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ സന്തതിയും വാഗ്ദത്തപ്രകാരം അവകാശികളും ആകുന്നു.

29. And if ye [are] Christ's, then ye are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise.:
