1. അനന്തരം യഹോവ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ നാം തിരിഞ്ഞു ചെങ്കടല് വഴിയായി മരുഭൂമിയിലേക്കു യാത്രപുറപ്പെട്ടു; നാം ഏറിയനാള് സേയീര്പര്വ്വതത്തെ ചുറ്റിനടന്നു.

1. Then turned we vs, and toke oure iourney to the wildernesse, euen the waye to the reed see (as the LORDE sayde vnto me) and compassed mount Seir a longe season.

2. പിന്നെ യഹോവ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതു

2. And ye LORDE saide vnto me:

3. നിങ്ങള് ഈ പര്വ്വതം ചുറ്റിനടന്നതു മതി; വടക്കോട്ടു തിരിവിന് .

3. Ye haue copassed this mountayne now loge ynough, turne you Northwarde,

4. നീ ജനത്തോടു കല്പിക്കേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്സേയീരില് കുടിയിരിക്കുന്ന ഏശാവിന്റെ മക്കളായ നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ അതിരില്കൂടി നിങ്ങള് കടപ്പാന് പോകുന്നു. അവര് നിങ്ങളെ പേടിക്കും; ആകയാല് ഏറ്റവും സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം.

4. and commaude the people, and saye: Ye shal go thorow ye coastes of youre brethren the children of Esau, which dwell at Seir: & they shal be afrayed of you. But take diligente hede to youre selues,

5. നിങ്ങള് അവരോടു പടയെടുക്കരുതുഅവരുടെ ദേശത്തു ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒരു കാല് വെപ്പാന് പോലും ഇടം തരികയില്ല; സേയീര്പര്വ്വതം ഞാന് ഏശാവിന്നു അവകാശമായി കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. that ye prouoke them not: for I wyl not geue you one fote bredth of their londe. For mount Seir haue I geuen to the children of Esau to possesse.

6. നിങ്ങള് അവരോടു ആഹാരം വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങി കഴിക്കേണം; വെള്ളവും വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങി കുടിക്കേണം.

6. Ye shal bye meate of them for moneye, that ye maye eate. And water shal ye bye of them for money, that ye maye drynke.

7. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്റെ കൈകളുടെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തിയിലും നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഈ മഹാമരുഭൂമിയില് നീ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നതു അവന് അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഈ നാല്പതു സംവത്സരം നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു; നിനക്കു യാതൊന്നിന്നും മുട്ടും വന്നിട്ടില്ല.

7. For the LORDE thy God hath blessed the in all the workes of thy hondes. He hath considered thy iourneyes thorow this greate wyldernesse: and this fortye yeares hath the LORDE thy God bene with the, so that thou hast wanted nothinge.

8. അങ്ങനെ നാം സേയീരില് കുടിയിരുന്ന ഏശാവിന്റെ മക്കളായ നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ ഒഴിച്ചു അരാബവഴിയായി ഏലാത്തിന്റെയും എസ്യോന് -ഗേബെരിന്റെയും അരികത്തുകൂടി കടന്നിട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞു മോവാബ് മരുഭൂമിയിലേക്കുള്ള വഴിയായി കടന്നുപോന്നു.

8. Now whan we were departed from or brethren the children of Esau, that dwelt vpon mount Seir, by the waye of the felde from Elath & Ezeon gaber, we turned vs, & wente by the waye of the wyldernesse of ye Moabites.

9. അപ്പോള് യഹോവ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുമോവാബ്യരെ ഞെരുക്കരുതു; അവരോടു പടയെടുക്കയും അരുതു; ഞാന് അവരുടെ ദേശത്തു നിനക്കു ഒരു അവകാശം തരികയില്ല; ആര്ദേശത്തെ ഞാന് ലോത്തിന്റെ മക്കള്ക്കു അവകാശമായി കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു -

9. Then sayde the LORDE vnto me: Thou shalt not vexe the Moabites, ner prouoke the vnto battayll, for I wil not geue the of their londe to possesse.

10. വലിപ്പവും പെരുപ്പവും അനാക്യരെപ്പോലെ പൊക്കവുമുള്ള ജാതിയായ ഏമ്യര് പണ്ടു അവിടെ പാര്ത്തിരുന്നു.

10. For Ar haue I geuen vnto the children of Lot in possession. The Emims dwelt there before tyme, which were a greate stronge people, & hye of stature, as the Enakims:

11. ഇവരെ അനാക്യരെപ്പോലെ മല്ലന്മാര് എന്നു വിചാരിച്ചുവരുന്നു; മോവാബ്യരോ അവര്ക്കും ഏമ്യര് എന്നു പേര് പറയുന്നു.

11. and were taken for giauntes, like as ye Enakims. And ye Moabites called them Emims.

12. ഹോര്യ്യരും പണ്ടു സേയീരില് പാര്ത്തിരുന്നു; എന്നാല് ഏശാവിന്റെ മക്കള് അവരെ തങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പില് നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളകയും സംഹരിക്കയും അവര്ക്കും പകരം കുടിപാര്ക്കയും ചെയ്തു; യിസ്രായേലിന്നു യഹോവ കൊടുത്ത അവകാശദേശത്തു അവര് ചെയ്തതുപോലെ തന്നേ. -

12. The Horites also dwelt in Seir afore tyme, & ye children of Esau droue them out, and destroyed them before them, & dwelt in their steade: like as Israel dyd in ye lode of his possession, that the LORDE gaue them.

13. ഇപ്പോള് എഴുന്നേറ്റു സേരെദ് തോടു കടപ്പിന് എന്നു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ നാം സേരെദ് തോടു കടന്നു;

13. Get you vp now, & go ouer the ryuer Sared. And we wente ouer.

14. നാം കാദേശ് ബര്ന്നേയയില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടതുമുതല് സേരെദ് തോടു കടക്കുംവരെയുള്ള കാലം മുപ്പത്തെട്ടു സംവത്സരം ആയിരുന്നു; അതിന്നിടയില് യോദ്ധാക്കളായിരുന്ന തലമുറ ഒക്കെയും യഹോവ അവരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ പാളയത്തില്നിന്നു മുടിഞ്ഞുപോയി.

14. The tyme that we were goinge fro Cades Barnea, tyll we came ouer the ryuer Sared, was eight & thirtye yeares: tyll all the men of warre were waysted out of the hoost, as the LORDE sware vnto them.

15. അവര് മുടിഞ്ഞുതീരുംവരെ യഹോവയുടെ കൈ അവരെ പാളയത്തില്നിന്നു നശിപ്പിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവര്ക്കും വിരോധമായിരുന്നു.

15. The hande of the LORDE also was agaynst them, to destroye the out of the hoost, tyll they were consumed.

16. ഇങ്ങനെ യോദ്ധാക്കള് ഒക്കെയും ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു മരിച്ചു ഒടുങ്ങിയശേഷം

16. And whan all the men of warre were cosumed, so yt they were deed amonge the people,

17. യഹോവ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതു

17. the LORDE spake vnto me, and sayde:

18. നീ ഇന്നു ആര് എന്ന മോവാബ്യദേശത്തുകൂടി കടപ്പാന് പോകുന്നു.

18. This daie shalt thou go thorow the coast of ye Moabites by Ar,

19. അമ്മോന്യരോടു അടുത്തു ചെല്ലുമ്പോള് അവരെ ഞെരുക്കരുതു; അവരോടു പടയെടുക്കയും അരുതു; ഞാന് അമ്മോന്യരുടെ ദേശത്തു നിനക്കു അവകാശം തരികയില്ല; അതു ഞാന് ലോത്തിന്റെ മക്കള്ക്കു അവകാശമായി കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു. -

19. & shalt come nye vnto ye children of Ammon, whom thou shalt not vexe ner prouoke. For I wyll not geue the of the lode of the childre of Ammon to possesse,

20. അതും മല്ലന്മാരുടെ ദേശമെന്നു വിചാരിച്ചുവരുന്നു; മല്ലന്മാര് പണ്ടു അവിടെ പാര്ത്തിരുന്നു; അമ്മോന്യര് അവരെ സംസുമ്മ്യര് എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

20. for I haue geue it vnto the childre of Lot in possession. It was take for a lode of giauntes also, & giauntes dwelt therin afore tyme. And ye Ammonites calle the Samsumims,

21. അവര് വലിപ്പവും പെരുപ്പവും അനാക്യരെപ്പോലെ പൊക്കവുമുള്ള ജാതിയായിരുന്നു; എങ്കിലും യഹോവ അവരെ അവരുടെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു നശിപ്പിച്ചു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവര് അവരുടെ ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കി അവരുടെ സ്ഥലത്തു കുടിപാര്ത്തു.

21. which was a people that was greate, many, and of hye stature, as the Enakims.And these ye LORDE destroyed before the, and let them possesse the same, so that they dwelt in their steade.

22. അവന് സേയീരില് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന ഏശാവിന്റെ മക്കള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി ചെയ്തതുപോലെ തന്നേ, അവന് ഹോര്യ്യരെ അവരുടെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു നശിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടു അവര് അവരുടെ ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കി അവരുടെ സ്ഥലത്തു ഇന്നുവരെയും പാര്ക്കുംന്നു.

22. Like as he dyd with the childre of Esau, which dwell vpo mount Seir, whan he destroyed the Horites before them: and let them possesse the same, so that they haue dwelt in their steade vnto this daye.

23. കഫ്തോരില്നിന്നു വന്ന കഫ്തോര്യ്യരും ഗസ്സാവരെയുള്ള ഊരുകളില് പാര്ത്തിരുന്ന അവ്യരെ നശിപ്പിച്ചു അവരുടെ സ്ഥലത്തു കുടിപാര്ത്തു -

23. And the Caphthorims came out of Caphther, and destroyed ye Auims (yt dwelt at Hazarim euen vnto Gaza) & there dwelt they in their steade.

24. നിങ്ങള് എഴുന്നേറ്റു യാത്രപുറപ്പെട്ടു അര്ന്നോന് താഴ്വര കടപ്പിന് ; ഇതാ, ഞാന് ഹെശ്ബോനിലെ അമോര്യ്യരാജാവായ സീഹോനെയും അവന്റെ ദേശത്തെയും നിന്റെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവനോടു പടവെട്ടി അതു കൈവശമാക്കുവാന് തുടങ്ങുക.

24. Get you vp now, and departe, and go ouer the ryuer Arnon. Beholde, I haue geue Sihon ye kynge of the Amorites at Hesbon into thy hande: go to and conquere, and prouoke him vnto battayll.

25. നിന്നെയുള്ള പേടിയും ഭീതിയും ആകാശത്തിങ്കീഴെങ്ങും ഉള്ള ജാതികളുടെ മേല് വരുത്തുവാന് ഞാന് ഇന്നു തന്നേ തുടങ്ങും; അവര് നിന്റെ ശ്രുതി കേട്ടു നിന്റെ നിമിത്തം വിറെക്കുകയും നടുങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്യും.

25. This daye wyll I begynne, so that all nacios vnder all the heauen, shal feare & drede ye: In so moch yt wha they heare of the, they shal tremble and quake for thy commynge.

26. പിന്നെ ഞാന് കെദേമോത്ത് മരുഭൂമിയില് നിന്നു ഹെശ്ബോനിലെ രാജാവായ സീഹോന്റെ അടുക്കല് സമാധാനവാക്കുകളോടുകൂടെ ദൂതന്മാരെ അയച്ചു

26. Then sent I messaungers from ye wyldernesse of the East vnto Sihon the kynge at Hesbon wt peaceble wordes, and caused to saye vnto him:

27. ഞാന് നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു കൂടി കടന്നുപോകുവാന് അനുവദിക്കേണമേ; ഞാന് ഇടത്തോട്ടോ വലത്തോട്ടോ മാറാതെ പെരുവഴിയില്കൂടി മാത്രം നടക്കും.

27. I wil go but thorow yi lode, I wil go alonge by the hye waye, I wil nether turne to the righte hade ner to ye lefte.

28. സേയീരില് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന ഏശാവിന്റെ മക്കളും ആരില് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന മോവാബ്യരും എനിക്കു തന്നതുപോലെ നീ വിലെക്കു തരുന്ന ആഹാരം ഞാന് കഴിക്കയും വിലെക്കു തരുന്ന വെള്ളം കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്തുകൊള്ളാം.

28. Thou shalt sell me meate for money, that I maye eate: & water shalt thou sell me for money, that I maye drinke. Onely let me go thorow by fote,

29. യോര്ദ്ദാന് കടന്നു ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു എത്തുവോളം കാല്നടയായി പോകുവാന് മാത്രം അനുവദിക്കേണം എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.

29. as the children of Esau (which dwell at Seir) dyd vnto me: and the Moabites that dwell at Ar: vntyll I be come ouer Iordane, into the londe which the LORDE oure God shal geue vnto vs.

30. എന്നാല് നാം തന്റെ ദേശത്തുകൂടി കടന്നുപോകുവാന് ഹെശ്ബോനിലെ രാജാവായ സീഹോന് സമ്മതിച്ചില്ല; ഇന്നു കാണുന്നതുപോലെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവനെ നിന്റെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്റെ മനസ്സു കടുപ്പിച്ചു അവന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കി.

30. But Sihon the kynge at Hesbon wolde not let vs go by him: for the LORDE yi God herdened his mynde, & made his hert tough that he mighte delyuer him in to thy hades, as it is come to passe this daye.

31. യഹോവ എന്നോടുഞാന് സീഹോനെയും അവന്റെ ദേശത്തെയും നിന്റെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതു അടക്കുവാന് തുടങ്ങുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

31. And ye LORDE sayde vnto me: Beholde, I haue begonne to delyuer Sihon with his londe before the: go to and coquere, and possesse his lode.

32. അങ്ങനെ സീഹോനും അവന്റെ സര്വ്വജനവും നമ്മുടെ നേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ടുവന്നു യാഹാസില്വെച്ചു പടയേറ്റു.

32. And Siho came out wt all his people to fight agaynst vs at Iahza.

33. നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവനെ നമ്മുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിച്ചു; നാം അവനെയും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും അവന്റെ സര്വ്വജനത്തെയും സംഹരിച്ചു.

33. But the LORDE oure God delyuered him in to oure handes, so that we smote him with his children and all his people.

34. അക്കാലത്തു നാം അവന്റെ എല്ലാപട്ടണങ്ങളും പിടിച്ചു പട്ടണംതോറും പുരുഷന്മാരെയും സ്ത്രീകളെയും കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെയും ഉന്മൂലനാശം ചെയ്തു; ഒരുത്തനെയും ശേഷിപ്പിച്ചില്ല.

34. Then toke we all his cities at the same tyme, and destroyed vtterly all the cities, men, wemen, and children, and let none remayne:

35. നാല്ക്കാലികളെയും നാം പിടിച്ച പട്ടണങ്ങളിലെ കൊള്ളയും മാത്രം നാം നമുക്കായിട്ടു എടുത്തു.

35. saue the catell, which we caught to oure selues, & the spoyle of the cities that we wanne

36. അര്ന്നോന് താഴ്വരയുടെ അറ്റത്തുള്ള അരോവേരും താഴ്വരയിലെ പട്ടണവുംമുതല് ഗിലെയാദ്വരെ നമ്മുടെ കൈകൂ എത്താതെ ഒരു പട്ടണവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ സകലവും നമ്മുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിച്ചു.

36. from Aroer, which lyeth vpon the ryuer syde of Arnon, and from the cite on the ryuer vnto Gilead. There was no cite that coulde defende it selfe from vs: the LORDE oure God delyuered vs all before vs.

37. അമ്മോന്യരുടെ ദേശവും യബ്ബോക്ക് നദിയുടെ ഒരു വശമൊക്കെയും മലനാട്ടിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നമ്മോടു വിലക്കിയ ഇടങ്ങളും മാത്രം നീ ആക്രമിച്ചില്ല.

37. But vnto the londe of the children of Ammon thou camest not, ner to all that was on the ryuer Iabok, ner to ye cities vpo ye mountaines, ner vnto what so euer the LORDE oure God forbad vs.
