1. അതുകൊണ്ടു വിശുദ്ധ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, സ്വര്ഗ്ഗീയവിളിക്കു ഔഹരിക്കാരായുള്ളോരേ, നാം സ്വീകരിച്ചുപറയുന്ന അപ്പൊസ്തലനും മഹാപുരോഹിതനുമായ യേശുവിനെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുനോക്കുവിന് .

1. Therefore, holy 'brothers,' sharing in a heavenly calling, reflect on Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession,

2. മോശെ ദൈവഭവനത്തില് ഒക്കെയും വിശ്വസ്തനായിരുന്നതുപോല യേശുവും തന്നെ നിയമിച്ചാക്കിയവന്നു വിശ്വസ്തന് ആകുന്നു.

2. who was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was 'faithful in (all) his house.'

3. ഭവനത്തെക്കാളും ഭവനം ചമെച്ചവന്നു അധികം മാനമുള്ളതുപോലെ യേശുവും മോശെയെക്കാള് അധികം മഹത്വത്തിന്നു യോഗ്യന് എന്നു എണ്ണിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

3. But he is worthy of more 'glory' than Moses, as the founder of a house has more 'honor' than the house itself.

12. Take care, brothers, that none of you may have an evil and unfaithful heart, so as to forsake the living God.

13. നിങ്ങള് ആരും പാപത്തിന്റെ ചതിയാല് കഠിനപ്പെടാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു “ഇന്നു” എന്നു പറയുന്നേടത്തോളം നാള്തോറും അന്യോന്യം പ്രബോധിപ്പിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

13. Encourage yourselves daily while it is still 'today,' so that none of you may grow hardened by the deceit of sin.

14. ആദ്യവിശ്വാസം അവസാനത്തോളം മുറുകെപ്പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാല് നാം ക്രിസ്തുവില് പങ്കാളികളായിത്തീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

14. We have become partners of Christ if only we hold the beginning of the reality firm until the end,

15. “ഇന്നു നിങ്ങള് അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കുന്നുവെങ്കില് മത്സരത്തില് എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ കഠിനമാക്കരുതു” എന്നു പറയുന്നതില് ആരാകുന്നു

15. for it is said: 'Oh, that today you would hear his voice: 'Harden not your hearts as at the rebellion.''

16. കേട്ടിട്ടു മത്സരിച്ചവര്? മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു മോശെ മുഖാന്തരം പുറപ്പെട്ടുവന്നവര് എല്ലാവരുമല്ലോ.

18. And to whom did he 'swear that they should not enter into his rest,' if not to those who were disobedient?

19. ഇങ്ങനെ അവിശ്വാസം നിമിത്തം അവര്ക്കും പ്രവേശിപ്പാന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു നാം കാണുന്നു.

19. And we see that they could not enter for lack of faith.
