1. അതുകൊണ്ടു വിശുദ്ധ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, സ്വര്ഗ്ഗീയവിളിക്കു ഔഹരിക്കാരായുള്ളോരേ, നാം സ്വീകരിച്ചുപറയുന്ന അപ്പൊസ്തലനും മഹാപുരോഹിതനുമായ യേശുവിനെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുനോക്കുവിന് .

1. So all of you holy brothers and sisters, who were called by God, think about Jesus, who was sent to us and is the high priest of our faith.

2. മോശെ ദൈവഭവനത്തില് ഒക്കെയും വിശ്വസ്തനായിരുന്നതുപോല യേശുവും തന്നെ നിയമിച്ചാക്കിയവന്നു വിശ്വസ്തന് ആകുന്നു.

2. Jesus was faithful to God as Moses was in God's family.

3. ഭവനത്തെക്കാളും ഭവനം ചമെച്ചവന്നു അധികം മാനമുള്ളതുപോലെ യേശുവും മോശെയെക്കാള് അധികം മഹത്വത്തിന്നു യോഗ്യന് എന്നു എണ്ണിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

3. Jesus has more honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself.

4. Every house is built by someone, but the builder of everything is God himself.

5. Moses was faithful in God's family as a servant, and he told what God would say in the future.

6. ക്രിസ്തുവോ അവന്റെ ഭവനത്തിന്നു അധികാരിയായ പുത്രനായിട്ടു തന്നേ; പ്രത്യാശയുടെ ധൈര്യ്യവും പ്രശംസയും നാം അവസാനത്തോളം മുറുകെപ്പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാല് നാം തന്നേ അവന്റെ ഭവനം ആകുന്നു.

6. But Christ is faithful as a Son over God's house. And we are God's house if we keep on being very sure about our great hope.

7. So it is as the Holy Spirit says: 'Today listen to what he says.

8. “ഇന്നു നിങ്ങള് അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കുന്നുവെങ്കില് മരുഭൂമിയില്വെച്ചു പരീക്ഷാദിവസത്തിലെ മത്സരത്തില് എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കരുതു.

8. Do not be stubborn as in the past when you turned against God, when you tested God in the desert.

9. അവിടെവെച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് എന്നെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു നാല്പതു ആണ്ടു എന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ കണ്ടിട്ടും എന്നെ ശോധനചെയ്തു.

9. There your ancestors tried me and tested me and saw the things I did for forty years.

10. അതുകൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു ആ തലമുറയോടു നീരസം ഉണ്ടായി. അവര് എപ്പോഴും തെറ്റിപ്പോകുന്ന ഹൃദയമുള്ളവര് എന്നും എന്റെ വഴികളെ അറിയാത്തവര് എന്നും ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു;

10. I was angry with them. I said, 'They are not loyal to me and have not understood my ways.'

11. അവര് എന്റെ സ്വസ്ഥതയില് പ്രവേശിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് എന്റെ ക്രോധത്തില് സത്യം ചെയ്തു.”

11. I was angry and made a promise, 'They will never enter my rest.''

12. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തെ ത്യജിച്ചുകളയാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവിശ്വാസമുള്ള ദുഷ്ടഹൃദയം നിങ്ങളില് ആര്ക്കും ഉണ്ടാകാതിരിപ്പാന് നോക്കുവിന് .

12. So brothers and sisters, be careful that none of you has an evil, unbelieving heart that will turn you away from the living God.

13. നിങ്ങള് ആരും പാപത്തിന്റെ ചതിയാല് കഠിനപ്പെടാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു “ഇന്നു” എന്നു പറയുന്നേടത്തോളം നാള്തോറും അന്യോന്യം പ്രബോധിപ്പിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

13. But encourage each other every day while it is 'today.' Help each other so none of you will become hardened because sin has tricked you.

14. ആദ്യവിശ്വാസം അവസാനത്തോളം മുറുകെപ്പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാല് നാം ക്രിസ്തുവില് പങ്കാളികളായിത്തീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

14. We all share in Christ if we keep till the end the sure faith we had in the beginning.

15. “ഇന്നു നിങ്ങള് അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കുന്നുവെങ്കില് മത്സരത്തില് എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ കഠിനമാക്കരുതു” എന്നു പറയുന്നതില് ആരാകുന്നു

15. This is what the Scripture says: 'Today listen to what he says. Do not be stubborn as in the past when you turned against God.'

16. കേട്ടിട്ടു മത്സരിച്ചവര്? മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു മോശെ മുഖാന്തരം പുറപ്പെട്ടുവന്നവര് എല്ലാവരുമല്ലോ.

16. Who heard God's voice and was against him? It was all those people Moses led out of Egypt.

17. നാല്പതു ആണ്ടു ആരോടു ക്രുദ്ധിച്ചു? പാപം ചെയ്തവരോടല്ലയോ?

17. And with whom was God angry for forty years? He was angry with those who sinned, who died in the desert.

18. അവരുടെ ശവങ്ങള് മരുഭൂമിയില് വീണുപോയി. എന്റെ സ്വസ്ഥതയില് പ്രവേശിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ആണയിട്ടതു അനുസരണംകെട്ടവരോടല്ലാതെ പിന്നെ ആരോടാകുന്നു?

18. And to whom was God talking when he promised that they would never enter his rest? He was talking to those who did not obey him.

19. ഇങ്ങനെ അവിശ്വാസം നിമിത്തം അവര്ക്കും പ്രവേശിപ്പാന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു നാം കാണുന്നു.

19. So we see they were not allowed to enter and have God's rest, because they did not believe.
