1. കുഞ്ഞാടു മുദ്രകളില് ഒന്നു പൊട്ടിച്ചപ്പോള്നീ വരിക എന്നു നാലു ജീവികളില് ഒന്നു ഇടി മുഴക്കം പോലെ പറയുന്നതു ഞാന് കേട്ടു.

1. And I saw when the lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard one of the four beasts say, as it were the noise of thunder, come and see.

2. അപ്പോള് ഞാന് ഒരു വെള്ളകൂതിരയെ കണ്ടു; അതിന്മേല് ഇരിക്കുന്നവന്റെ കയ്യില് ഒരു വില്ലുണ്ടു; അവന്നു ഒരു കിരീടവും ലഭിച്ചു; അവന് ജയിക്കുന്നവനായും ജയിപ്പാനായും പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

2. And I saw, and behold there was a white horse, and he that sat on him had a bow, and a crown was given unto him, and he went forth conquering and for to overcome.

3. അവന് രണ്ടാം മുദ്ര പൊട്ടിച്ചപ്പോള്വരിക എന്നു രണ്ടാം ജീവി പറയുന്നതു ഞാന് കേട്ടു.

3. And when he opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say: come and see.

4. അപ്പോള് ചുവന്നതായ മറ്റൊരു കുതിര പുറപ്പെട്ടു; അതിന്റെ പുറത്തു ഇരിക്കുന്നവന്നു മനുഷ്യര് അന്യോന്യം കൊല്ലുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ഭൂമിയില് നിന്നു സമാധാനം എടുത്തുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നു അധികാരം ലഭിച്ചു; ഒരു വലിയ വാളും അവന്നു കിട്ടി.

4. And there went out another horse that was red,(reed) and power was given to him that sat thereon, to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another. And there was given unto him a great sword.

6. ഒരു പണത്തിന്നു ഒരിടങ്ങഴി കോതമ്പു; ഒരു പണത്തിന്നു മൂന്നിടങ്ങഴി യവം; എന്നാല് എണ്ണെക്കും വീഞ്ഞിന്നും കേടു വരുത്തരുതു എന്നു നാലു ജീവികളുടെയും നടുവില് നിന്നു ഒരു ശബ്ദം ഞാന് കേട്ടു.

6. And I heard a voice in the midst(myddes) of the four beasts say: a measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny: and oil and wine see thou hurt not.

7. നാലാം മുദ്ര പൊട്ടിച്ചപ്പോള്വരിക എന്നു നാലാം ജീവി പറയുന്നതു ഞാന് കേട്ടു.

7. And when he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say: come and see.

8. അപ്പോള് ഞാന് മഞ്ഞനിറമുള്ളോരു കുതിരയെ കണ്ടു; അതിന്മേല് ഇരിക്കുന്നവന്നു മരണം എന്നു പേര്; പാതാളം അവനെ പിന്തുടര്ന്നു; അവര്ക്കും വാളുകൊണ്ടും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടും മഹാവ്യാധികൊണ്ടും ഭൂമിയിലെ കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടും കൊന്നുകളവാന് ഭൂമിയുടെ കാലംശത്തിന്മേല് അധികാരം ലഭിച്ചു.

8. And I looked. And behold a green(pale) horse, and his name that sat on him was death, and hell followed after him, and power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, that cometh of vermin of the earth.

9. അവന് അഞ്ചാം മുദ്ര പൊട്ടിച്ചപ്പോള്ദൈവവചനം നിമിത്തവും തങ്ങള് പറഞ്ഞ സാക്ഷ്യം ഹേതുവായും അറുക്കപ്പെട്ടവരുടെ ആത്മാക്കളെ ഞാന് യാഗപീഠത്തിങ്കീഴില് കണ്ടു;

9. And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar, the souls of them that were killed for the word of God, and for the testimony which they had,

10. വിശുദ്ധനും സത്യവാനും ആയ നാഥാ, ഭൂമിയില് വസിക്കുന്നവരോടു ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്തത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു നീ എത്രത്തോളം ന്യായവിധിയും പ്രതികാരവും നടത്താതെയിരിക്കും എന്നു അവര് ഉറക്കെ നിലവിളിച്ചു.

10. and they cried with a loud(lowde) voice saying: How long tarriest thou Lord holy and true, to judge and to avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

11. അപ്പോള് അവരില് ഔരോരുത്തന്നും വെള്ളനിലയങ്കി കൊടുത്തു; അവരെപ്പോലെ കൊല്ലപ്പെടുവാനിരിക്കുന്ന സഹഭൃത്യന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും വന്നുതികയുവോളം അല്പകാലം കൂടെ സ്വസ്ഥമായി പാര്ക്കേണം എന്നു അവര്ക്കും അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായി.

11. And long white garments were given unto every one of them. And it was said unto them that they should rest for a little season until the number of their fellows, and brethren, and of them that should be killed as they were, were fulfilled.

12. ആറാം മുദ്ര പൊട്ടിച്ചപ്പോള് വലിയോരു ഭൂകമ്പം ഉണ്ടായി; സൂര്യന് കരിമ്പടംപോലെ കറുത്തു; ചന്ദ്രന് മുഴുവനും രക്തതുല്യമായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

12. And I beheld when he opened the sixth seal, and lo there was a great earthquake, and the sun was as black as sack cloth made of hair. And the moon waxed even as blood:

13. and the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth from her her figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

14. And heaven vanished away, as a scroll when it is rolled together. And all mountains and isles, were moved out of their places.
