1. അനന്തരം യാക്കോബ് തന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെ വിളിച്ചു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുകൂടിവരുവിന് , ഭാവികാലത്തു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സംഭവിപ്പാനുള്ളതു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ അറിയിക്കും.

1. Then Iaakob called his sonnes, and sayde, Gather your selues together, that I may tell you what shall come to you in the last dayes.

2. യാക്കോബിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരേകൂടിവന്നു കേള്പ്പിന് ; നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പനായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ മൊഴിക്കു ചെവിതരുവിന് !

2. Gather your selues together, and heare, ye sonnes of Iaakob, and hearken vnto Israel your father.

3. രൂബേനേ, നീ എന്റെ ആദ്യജാതന് , എന്റെ വിര്യവും എന്റെ ശക്തിയുടെ ആദ്യഫലവും ശ്രേഷ്ഠതയുടെ വൈശിഷ്ട്യവും ബലത്തിന്റെ വൈശിഷ്ട്യവും തന്നേ

3. Reuben mine eldest sonne, thou art my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellencie of dignitie, and the excellencie of power:

4. വെള്ളംപോലെ തുളുമ്പുന്നവനേ, നീ ശ്രേഷ്ഠനാകയില്ല; നീ അപ്പന്റെ കിടക്കമേല് കയറി അതിനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കി; എന്റെ ശയ്യമേല് അവന് കയറിയല്ലോ.

4. Thou wast light as water: thou shalt not be excellent, because thou wentest vp to thy fathers bed: then diddest thou defile my bed, thy dignitie is gone.

5. ശിമയോനും ലേവിയും സഹോദരന്മാര്; അവരുടെ വാളുകള് സാഹസത്തിന്റെ ആയുധങ്ങള്.

5. Simeon and Leui, brethren in euill, the instruments of crueltie are in their habitations.

6. എന് ഉള്ളമേ, അവരുടെ മന്ത്രണത്തില് കൂടരുതേ; എന് മനമേ, അവരുടെ യോഗത്തില് ചേരരുതേ; തങ്ങളുടെ കോപത്തില് അവര് പുരുഷന്മാരെ കൊന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ ശാഠ്യത്തില് കൂറ്റന്മാരുടെ വരിയുടെച്ചു.

6. Into their secret let not my soule come: my glory, be not thou ioyned with their assembly: for in their wrath they slew a man, and in their selfe will they digged downe a wall.

7. അവരുടെ ഉഗ്രകോപവും കഠിനക്രോധവും ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടതു; ഞാന് അവരെ യാക്കോബില് പകക്കയും യിസ്രായേലില് ചിതറിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

7. Cursed be their wrath, for it was fierce, and their rage, for it was cruell: I will deuide them in Iaakob, and scatter them in Israel.

8. യെഹൂദയേ, സഹോദരന്മാര് നിന്നെ പുകഴ്ത്തും; നിന്റെ കൈ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കഴുത്തില് ഇരിക്കും; അപ്പന്റെ മക്കള് നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് നമസ്കരിക്കും.

8. Thou Iudah, thy brethre shall praise thee: thine hande shalbe in the necke of thine enemies: thy fathers sonnes shall bowe downe vnto thee.

9. യഹൂദാ ഒരു ബാലസിംഹം; മകനേ, നീ ഇരപിടിച്ചു കയറിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന് കുനിഞ്ഞു, സിംഹംപോലെയും സിംഹിപോലെയും പതുങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുന്നു; ആര് അവനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിക്കും?

9. Iudah, as a Lions whelpe shalt thou come vp from the spoyle, my sonne. He shall lye downe and couche as a Lion, and as a Lionesse: Who shall stirre him vp?

10. The scepter shall not depart from Iudah, nor a Lawegiuer from betweene his feete, vntill Shiloh come, and the people shall be gathered vnto him.

11. He shall binde his Asse foale vnto ye vine, and his Asses colte vnto the best vine. hee shall wash his garment in wine, and his cloke in the blood of grapes.

12. അവന്റെ കണ്ണു വീഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു ചുവന്നും അവന്റെ പല്ലു പാലുകൊണ്ടു വെളുത്തും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

12. His eyes shalbe red with wine, and his teeth white with milke.

13. സെബൂലൂന് സമുദ്രതീരത്തു വസിക്കും; അവന് കപ്പല്തുറമുഖത്തു പാര്ക്കും; അവന്റെ പാര്ശ്വം സീദോന് വരെ ആകും.

13. Zebulun shall dwell by the sea side, and he shalbe an hauen for shippes: and his border shalbe vnto Zidon.

14. യിസ്സാഖാര് അസ്ഥിബലമുള്ള കഴുത; അവന് തൊഴുത്തുകളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ കിടക്കുന്നു.

14. Issachar shalbe a strong asse, couching downe betweene two burdens:

15. വിശ്രാമം നല്ലതെന്നും ദേശം ഇമ്പമുള്ളതെന്നും കണ്ടു, അവന് ചുമടിന്നു ചുമല് കൊടുത്തു ഊഴിയത്തിന്നു ദാസനായ്തീര്ന്നു.

15. And he shall see that rest is good, and that the land is pleasant, and he shall bow his shoulder to beare, and shalbe subiect vnto tribute.

16. ദാന് ഏതൊരു യിസ്രായേല്യഗോത്രവുംപോലെ സ്വജനത്തിന്നു ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്യും.

16. Dan shall iudge his people as one of the tribes of Israel.

17. ദാന് വഴിയില് ഒരു പാമ്പും പാതയില് ഒരു സര്പ്പവും ആകുന്നു; അവന് കുതിരയുടെ കുതികാല് കടിക്കും; പുറത്തു കയറിയവന് മലര്ന്നു വീഴും.

17. Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder by the path, byting the horse heeles, so that his rider shall fall backward.

18. യഹോവേ, ഞാന് നിന്റെ രക്ഷക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

18. O Lord, I haue waited for thy saluation.

19. ഗാദോ കവര്ച്ചപ്പട അവനെ ഞെരുക്കും; അവനോ അവരുടെ പിമ്പടയെ ഞെരുക്കും.

19. Gad, an hoste of men shall ouercome him, but he shall ouercome at the last.

20. ആശേരോ, അവന്റെ ആഹാരം പുഷ്ടിയുള്ളതു; അവന് രാജകീയസ്വാദുഭോജനം നലകും.

20. Concerning Asher, his bread shalbe fat, and he shall giue pleasures for a king.

21. നഫ്താലി സ്വതന്ത്രയായി നടക്കുന്ന പേടമാന് ; അവന് ലാവണ്യവാക്കുകള് സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

21. Naphtali shalbe a hinde let goe, giuing goodly wordes.

22. യോസേഫ് ഫലപ്രദമായോരു വൃക്ഷം, നീരുറവിന്നരികെ ഫലപ്രദമായോരു വൃക്ഷം തന്നേ; അതിന്റെ കൊമ്പുകള് മതിലിന്മേല് പടരുന്നു.

22. Ioseph shalbe a fruitefull bough, euen a fruitful bough by the well side: the small boughs shall runne vpon the wall.

23. വില്ലാളികള് അവനെ വിഷമിപ്പിച്ചു; അവര് എയ്തു, അവനോടു പൊരുതു.

23. And the archers grieued him, and shotte against him and hated him.

24. അവന്റെ വില്ലു ഉറപ്പോടെ നിന്നു; അവന്റെ ഭുജം യാക്കോബിന് വല്ലഭന്റെ കയ്യാല് ബലപ്പെട്ടു; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പാറയായ ഇടയന്റെ നാമത്താല് തന്നേ.

24. But his bowe abode strong, and the hands of his armes were strengthened, by the handes of the mighty God of Iaakob, of whom was the feeder appointed, by the stone of Israel,

25. നിന് പിതാവിന്റെ ദൈവത്താല് - അവന് നിന്നെ സഹായിക്കും സര്വ്വ ശക്തനാല് തന്നേ - അവന് മീതെ ആകാശത്തിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളാലും താഴെ കിടക്കുന്ന ആഴത്തിന്റെ അനുഗ്രങ്ങളാലും മുലയുടെയും ഗര്ഭത്തിന്റെയും അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളാലും നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും.

25. Euen by the God of thy father, who shall helpe thee, and by the almightie, who shall blesse thee with heauenly blessinges from aboue, with blessings of the deepe, that lyeth beneath, with blessings of the brestes, and of the wombe.

26. നിന് പിതാവിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങള് എന് ജനകന്മാരുടെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങള്ക്കു മീതെ ശാശ്വതഗിരികളുടെ അറ്റത്തോളം പ്രബലപ്പെട്ടു. അവ യോസേഫിന്റെ തലയിലും തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരില് പ്രഭുവായവന്റെ നെറുകയിലും വരും.

26. The blessings of thy father shalbe stronger then the blessings of mine elders: vnto the ende of the hilles of the worlde they shall be on the head of Ioseph, and on the top of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.

27. ബെന്യാമീന് കടിച്ചു കീറുന്ന ചെന്നായി; രാവിലേ അവന് ഇരപിടിച്ചു വിഴുങ്ങും; വൈകുന്നേരത്തു അവന് കവര്ച്ച പങ്കിടും.

27. Beniamin shall rauine as a wolfe: in the morning he shall deuoure the pray, and at night he shall deuide the spoyle.

28. യിസ്രായെല് ഗോത്രം പന്ത്രണ്ടും ഇവ ആകുന്നു; അവരുടെ പിതാവു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു ഇതു തന്നേ; അവന് അവരില് ഔരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹം കൊടുത്തു അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

28. All these are the twelue tribes of Israel, and thus their father spake vnto them, and blessed them: euery one of them blessed hee with a seuerall blessing.

29. അവന് അവരോടു ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതുഞാന് എന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ചേരുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങള് ഹിത്യനായ എഫ്രോന്റെ നിലത്തിലെ ഗുഹയില് എന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് എന്നെ അടക്കേണം.

29. And he charged them and sayd vnto them, I am ready to be gathered vnto my people: burie mee with my fathers in the caue, that is in the fielde of Ephron the Hittite,

30. കനാന് ദേശത്തു മമ്രേക്കു സമീപം, അബ്രാഹാം ഹിത്യനായ എഫ്രോനോടു നിലത്തോടുകൂടെ ശ്മശാനഭൂമിയായി ജന്മം വാങ്ങിയ മക്പേലാ എന്ന നിലത്തിലെ ഗുഹയില് തന്നേ.

30. In the caue that is in the field of Machpelah besides Mamre in the land of Canaan: which caue Abraham bought with the fielde of Ephron the Hittite for a possession to burie in.

31. അവിടെ അവര് അബ്രാഹാമിനെയും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറയെയും യിസ്ഹാക്കിനെയും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ റിബെക്കയെയും അടക്കി; അവിടെ ഞാന് ലേയയെയും അടക്കി.

31. There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife: there they buryed Izhak and Rebekah his wife: and there I buried Leah.

32. ആ നിലവും അതിലെ ഗുഹയും ഹിത്യരോടു വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങിയതാകുന്നു.

32. The purchase of the fielde and the caue that is therein, was bought of the children of Heth.

33. യാക്കോബ് തന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോടു ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചു തീര്ന്നശേഷം അവന് കാല് കട്ടിലിന്മേല് എടുത്തു വെച്ചിട്ടു പ്രാണനെവിട്ടു തന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ചേര്ന്നു.

33. Thus Iaakob made an end of giuing charge to his sonnes, and plucked vp his feete into the bed and gaue vp the ghost, and was gathered to his people.
