1. ദൈവം നോഹയെയും അവനോടുകൂടെ പെട്ടകത്തില് ഉള്ള സകല ജീവികളെയും സകലമൃഗങ്ങളെയും ഔര്ത്തു; ദൈവം ഭൂമിമേല് ഒരു കാറ്റു അടിപ്പിച്ചു; വെള്ളം നിലെച്ചു.

1. And God remembered Noe and all the beasts and all the cattle that were with him in the ark; And God made a wind to blow upon the earth, and the waters ceased:

2. ആഴിയുടെ ഉറവുകളും ആകാശത്തിന്റെ കിളിവാതിലുകളും അടഞ്ഞു; ആകാശത്തുനിന്നുള്ള മഴയും നിന്നു.

2. and the fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped and the rain of heaven was forbidden,

3. വെള്ളം ഇടവിടാതെ ഭൂമിയില്നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; നൂറ്റമ്പതു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം വെള്ളം കുറഞ്ഞു തുടങ്ങി.

3. and the waters returned from off the earth and abated after the end of an hundred and fifty days.

4. ഏഴാം മാസം പതിനേഴാം തിയ്യതി പെട്ടകം അരരാത്ത് പര്വ്വതത്തില് ഉറെച്ചു.

4. And the ark rested upon the mountains of Ararat, the seventeenth day of the seventh month.

5. പത്താം മാസം വരെ വെള്ളം ഇടവിടാതെ കുറഞ്ഞു; പത്താം മാസം ഒന്നാം തിയ്യതി പര്വ്വതശിഖരങ്ങള് കാണായി.

5. And the waters went away and decreased until the tenth month. And the first day of the tenth month, the tops of the mountains appeared.

6. നാല്പതു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം നോഹ താന് പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരുന്ന കിളിവാതില് തുറന്നു.

6. And after the end of forty days, Noe opened the window of the ark which he had made,

7. അവന് ഒരു മലങ്കാക്കയെ പുറത്തു വിട്ടു; അതു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഭൂമിയില് വെള്ളം വറ്റിപ്പോയതു വരെ പോയും വന്നും കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

7. and sent forth a raven, which went out, ever going and coming again, until the waters were dried up upon the earth.

8. ഭൂമിയില് വെള്ളം കുറഞ്ഞുവോ എന്നു അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് ഒരു പ്രാവിനെയും തന്റെ അടുക്കല്നിന്നു പുറത്തു വിട്ടു.

8. Then sent he forth a dove from him, to wete whether the waters were fallen from off the earth.

9. എന്നാല് സര്വ്വഭൂമിയിലും വെള്ളം കിടക്കകൊണ്ടു പ്രാവു കാല് വെപ്പാന് സ്ഥലം കാണാതെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് പെട്ടകത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നു; അവന് കൈനീട്ടി അതിനെ പിടിച്ചു തന്റെ അടുക്കല് പെട്ടകത്തില് ആക്കി.

9. And when the dove could find no resting place for her foot, she returned to him again unto the ark, for the waters were upon the face of all the earth. And he put out his hand and took her and pulled her to him into the ark.

10. ഏഴു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവന് വീണ്ടും ആ പ്രാവിനെ പെട്ടകത്തില് നിന്നു പുറത്തു വിട്ടു.

10. And he abode yet seven days more,(mo) and sent out the dove again out of the ark,

11. പ്രാവു വൈകുന്നേരത്തു അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു; അതിന്റെ വായില് അതാ, ഒരു പച്ച ഒലിവില; അതിനാല് ഭൂമിയില് വെള്ളം കുറഞ്ഞു എന്നു നോഹ അറിഞ്ഞു.

11. and the dove came to him again about eventide, and behold: there was in her mouth a leaf of an olive tree which she had plucked, whereby Noe perceived that the waters were abated upon the earth.

12. പിന്നെയും ഏഴു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവന് ആ പ്രാവിനെ പുറത്തു വിട്ടു; അതു പിന്നെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് മടങ്ങി വന്നില്ല.

12. And he tarried yet seven other days, and sent forth the dove, which from thence forth came no more again to him.

13. ആറുനൂറ്റൊന്നാം സംവത്സരം ഒന്നാം മാസം ഒന്നാം തിയ്യതി ഭൂമിയില് വെള്ളം വറ്റിപ്പോയിരുന്നു; നോഹ പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ മേല്ത്തട്ടു നീക്കി, ഭൂതലം ഉണങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കണ്ടു.

13. And it came to pass, the six hundred and one year and the first day of the first month, that the waters were dried up upon the earth. And Noe took off the hatches of the ark and looked: and behold, the face of the earth was dry.

14. രണ്ടാം മാസം ഇരുപത്തേഴാം തിയ്യതി ഭൂമി ഉണങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.

14. So by the twenty seventh day of the second month the earth was dry.

15. ദൈവം നോഹയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

15. And God spake unto Noe saying:

16. നീയും നിന്റെ ഭാര്യയും പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഭാര്യമാരും പെട്ടകത്തില്നിന്നു പുറത്തിറങ്ങുവിന് .

16. Come out of the ark, both thou and thy wife and thy sons and thy sons' wives with thee.

17. പറവകളും മൃഗങ്ങളും നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്ന ഇഴജാതിയുമായ സര്വ്വജഡത്തില്നിന്നും നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുന്ന സകല ജീവികളെയും പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുവരിക; അവ ഭൂമിയില് അനവധിയായി വര്ദ്ധിക്കയും പെറ്റു പെരുകുകയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.

17. And all the beasts that are with thee whatsoever flesh it be, both fowl and cattle and all manner worms that creep on the earth, bring out with thee, and let them move, grow and multiply upon the earth.

18. അങ്ങനെ നോഹയും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും ഭാര്യയും പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഭാര്യമാരും പുറത്തിറങ്ങി.

18. And Noe came out, and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives with him.

19. സകല മൃഗങ്ങളും ഇഴജാതികള് ഒക്കെയും എല്ലാ പറവകളും ഭൂചരങ്ങളൊക്കെയും ജാതിജാതിയായി പെട്ടകത്തില് നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങി.

19. And all the beasts, and all the worms, and all the fowls, and all that moved upon the earth, came also out of the ark, all of one kind together.

20. നോഹ യഹോവേക്കു ഒരു യാഗപീഠം പണിതു, ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള സകല മൃഗങ്ങളിലും ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള എല്ലാപറവകളിലും ചിലതു എടുത്തു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് ഹോമയാഗം അര്പ്പിച്ചു.

20. And Noe made an altar unto the LORD,(LORDE) and took of all manner of clean beasts and all manner of clean fowls, and offered sacrifice upon the altar.

21. യഹോവ സൌരഭ്യവാസന മണത്തപ്പോള് യഹോവ തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുഞാന് മനുഷ്യന്റെ നിമിത്തം ഇനി ഭൂമിയെ ശപിക്കയില്ല. മനുഷ്യന്റെ മനോനിരൂപണം ബാല്യംമുതല് ദോഷമുള്ളതു ആകുന്നു; ഞാന് ചെയ്തതു പോലെ സകല ജീവികളെയും ഇനി നശിപ്പിക്കയില്ല.

21. And the LORD(LORDE) smelled a sweet savour and said in his heart: I will henceforth no more curse the earth for man's sake, for the imagination of man's heart is evil even from the very youth of him. Moreover I will not destroy from henceforth all that liveth as I have done.

22. ഭൂമിയുള്ള കാലത്തോളം വിതയും കൊയിത്തും, ശീതവും ഉഷ്ണവും, വേനലും വര്ഷവും, രാവും പകലും നിന്നുപോകയുമില്ല.

22. Neither shall sowing time and harvest, cold, and heat, summer and winter, day and night cease, as long as the earth endureth.
