1. Solomon began to build the Temple four hundred eighty years after the people of Israel had left Egypt. This was during the fourth year of King Solomon's rule over Israel. It was the second month, the month of Ziv.

2. The Temple was ninety feet long, thirty feet wide, and forty-five feet high.

3. ആലയമായ മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുഖമണ്ഡപം ആലയവീതിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളവും ആലയത്തിന്റെ മുന് വശത്തു പത്തു മുഴം വീതിയും ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു.

3. The porch in front of the main room of the Temple was fifteen feet deep and thirty feet wide. This room ran along the front of the Temple itself. Its width was equal to that of the Temple.

4. അവന് ആലയത്തിന്നു ജാലം ഇണക്കിയ കിളിവാതിലുകളെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

4. The Temple also had windows that opened and closed.

5. മന്ദിരവും അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരവും കൂടിയ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവരിനോടു ചേര്ത്തു ചുറ്റും തട്ടുതട്ടായി പുറവാരങ്ങളും പണിതു അവയില് ചുറ്റും അറകളും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

5. Solomon also built some side rooms against the walls of the main room and the inner room of the Temple. He built rooms all around.

6. താഴത്തെ പുറവാരം അഞ്ചു മുഴവും നടുവിലത്തേതു ആറു മുഴവും മൂന്നാമത്തേതു ഏഴു മുഴവും വീതിയുള്ളതായിരുന്നു; തുലാങ്ങള് ആലയഭിത്തികളില് അകത്തു ചെല്ലാതിരിപ്പാന് അവന് ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റും പുറമെ ഗളം പണിതു.

6. The rooms on the bottom floor were seven and one-half feet wide. Those on the middle floor were nine feet wide, and the rooms above them were ten and one-half feet wide. The Temple wall that formed the side of each room was thinner than the wall in the room below. These rooms were pushed against the Temple wall, but they did not have their main beams built into this wall.

7. വെട്ടുകുഴിയില്വെച്ചു തന്നേ കുറവുതീര്ത്ത കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു ആലയം പണിതതിനാല് അതു പണിയുന്ന സമയത്തു ചുറ്റിക, മഴു മുതലായ യാതൊരു ഇരിമ്പായുധത്തിന്റെയും ഒച്ച ആലയത്തിങ്കല് കേള്പ്പാനില്ലായിരുന്നു.

7. The stones were prepared at the same place where they were cut from the ground. Since these stones were the only ones used to build the Temple, there was no noise of hammers, axes, or any other iron tools at the Temple.

8. താഴത്തെ പുറവാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില് ആലയത്തിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു ആയിരുന്നു; ചുഴല്കോവണിയില്കൂടെ നടുവിലെ പുറവാരത്തിലേക്കും നടുവിലത്തേതില്നിന്നു മൂന്നാമത്തെ പുറവാരത്തിലേക്കും കയറാം.

8. The entrance to the lower rooms beside the Temple was on the south side. From there, stairs went up to the second-floor rooms. And from there, stairs went on to the third-floor rooms.

9. അങ്ങനെ അവന് ആലയം പണിതുതീര്ത്തു; ദേവദാരുത്തുലാങ്ങളും ദേവദാരുപ്പലകയുംകൊണ്ടു ആലയത്തിന്നു മച്ചിട്ടു.

9. Solomon put a roof made from beams and cedar boards on the Temple. So he finished building the Temple

10. ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള തട്ടുകള് അയ്യഞ്ചു മുഴം ഉയരത്തില് അവന് പണിതു ദേവദാരുത്തുലാങ്ങള്കൊണ്ടു ആലയത്തോടു ഇണെച്ചു.

10. as well as the bottom floor that was beside the Temple. This bottom floor was seven and one-half feet high and was attached to the Temple by cedar beams.

11. ശലോമോന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഉണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

11. The Lord said to Solomon:

12. നീ പണിയുന്ന ഈ ആലയം ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; നീ എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ ആചരിച്ചു എന്റെ വിധികളെ അനുസരിച്ചു എന്റെ കല്പനകളൊക്കെയും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടന്നാല് ഞാന് നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം നിന്നില് നിവര്ത്തിക്കും.

12. If you obey all my laws and commands, I will do for you what I promised your father David.

13. ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ വസിക്കും; എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയില്ല.

13. I will live among the Israelites in this Temple, and I will never leave my people Israel.'

14. അങ്ങനെ ശലോമോന് ആലയം പണിതുതീര്ത്തു.

14. So Solomon finished building the Temple.

15. അവന് ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവര് അകത്തെവശം ദേവദാരുപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു പണിതു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവര് ആലയത്തിന്റെ നിലംമുതല് മച്ചുവരെ അകത്തെ വശം മരംകൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചു; ആലയത്തിന്റെ നിലം സരളപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു തളമിട്ടു.

15. The inside walls were covered from floor to ceiling with cedar boards. The floor was made from pine boards.

16. ആലയത്തിന്റെ പിന് വശം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളത്തില് നിലംമുതല് ഉത്തരം വരെ ദേവദാരുപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു പണിതുഇങ്ങനെയാകുന്നു അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരമായ അതിവിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ ഉള്വശം പണിതതു.

16. A room thirty feet long was built in the back part of the Temple. This room, called the Most Holy Place, was separated from the rest of the Temple by cedar boards which reached from floor to ceiling.

17. അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുന് ഭാഗത്തുള്ള മന്ദിരമായ ആലയത്തിന്നു നാല്പതു മുഴം നിളമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

17. The main room, the one in front of the Most Holy Place, was sixty feet long.

18. ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകത്തെ ചുവരിന്മേല് ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടുള്ള കുമിഴുകളും വിടര്ന്ന പുഷ്പങ്ങളും കൊത്തുപണിയായിരുന്നു; എല്ലാം ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു; കല്ലു അശേഷം കാണ്മാനുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

18. Everything inside the Temple was covered with cedar, which was carved with pictures of flowers and plants. A person could not see the stones of the wall, only the cedar.

19. ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകത്തു യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം വെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് ഒരു അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരം ചമെച്ചു.

19. Solomon prepared the inner room at the back of the Temple to keep the Ark of the Agreement with the Lord.

20. അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ അകം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളവും ഇരുപതു മുഴം വീതിയും ഇരുപതു മുഴം ഉയരവും ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു; അവന് അതു തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; ദേവദാരുമരംകൊണ്ടുള്ള ധൂപപീഠവും പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

20. This inner room was thirty feet long, thirty feet wide, and thirty feet high. He covered this room with pure gold, and he also covered the altar of cedar.

21. ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകം ശലോമോന് തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുന് വശത്തു വിലങ്ങത്തില് പൊന് ചങ്ങല കൊളുത്തി അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരം പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

21. He covered the inside of the Temple with pure gold, placing gold chains across the front of the inner room, which was also covered with gold.

22. അങ്ങനെ അവന് ആലയം ആസകലം പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്നുള്ള പീഠവും മുഴുവനും പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

22. So all the inside of the Temple, as well as the altar of the Most Holy Place, was covered with gold.

23. അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തില് അവന് ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു പത്തു മുഴം ഉയരമുള്ള രണ്ടു കെരൂബുകളെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

23. Solomon made two creatures from olive wood and placed them in the Most Holy Place. Each creature was fifteen feet tall

24. ഒരു കെരൂബിന്റെ ഒരു ചിറകു അഞ്ചു മുഴം, കെരൂബിന്റെ മറ്റെ ചിറകു അഞ്ചു മുഴം; ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു ചിറകിന്റെ അറ്റം മുതല് മറ്റെ ചിറകിന്റെ അറ്റംവരെ പത്തു മുഴം.

24. and had two wings. Each wing was seven and one-half feet long, so it was fifteen feet from the end of one wing to the end of the other.

25. മറ്റെ കെരൂബിന്നും പത്തു മുഴം; കെരൂബ് രണ്ടിന്നും അളവും ആകൃതിയും ഒന്നു തന്നേ.

25. The creatures were the same size and shape;

26. ഒരു കെരൂബിന്റെ ഉയരം പത്തു മുഴം; മറ്റെ കെരൂബിന്നും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ.

26. each was fifteen feet tall.

27. അവന് കെരൂബുകളെ അന്തരാലയത്തിന്റെ നടുവില് നിര്ത്തി; കെരൂബുകളുടെ ചിറകു വിടര്ന്നിരുന്നു; ഒന്നിന്റെ ചിറകു ഒരു ചുവരോടും മറ്റേതിന്റെ ചിറകു മറ്റേ ചുവരോടും തൊട്ടിരുന്നു. ആലയത്തിന്റെ നടുവില് അവയുടെ ചിറകു ഒന്നോടൊന്നു തൊട്ടിരുന്നു.

27. These creatures were put beside each other in the Most Holy Place with their wings spread out. One creature's wing touched one wall, and the other creature's wing touched the other wall with their wings touching each other in the middle of the room.

28. കെരൂബുകളെയും അവന് പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

28. These two creatures were covered with gold.

29. അന്തരാലയവും ബഹിരാലയവുമായ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവരുകളിലെല്ലാം ചുറ്റും കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടര്ന്ന പുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപം കൊത്തി ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

29. All the walls around the Temple were carved with pictures of creatures with wings, as well as palm trees and flowers. This was true for both the main room and the inner room.

30. അന്തരാലയവും ബഹിരാലയവുമായ ആലയത്തിന്റെ തളവും അവന് പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

30. The floors of both rooms were covered with gold.

31. അവന് അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ വാതിലിന്നു ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു കതകു ഉണ്ടാക്കി; കുറമ്പടിയും കട്ടളക്കാലും ചുവരിന്റെ അഞ്ചില് ഒരു അംശമായിരുന്നു.

31. Doors made from olive wood were placed at the entrance to the Most Holy Place. These doors had five-sided frames.

32. ഒലിവ് മരം കൊണ്ടുള്ള കതകു രണ്ടിലും കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടര്ന്ന പുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപങ്ങള് കൊത്തി പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; കെരൂബുകളിലും ഈന്തപ്പനകളിലും പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു

32. Creatures with wings, as well as palm trees and flowers, were also carved on the two olive wood doors that were covered with gold. The creatures and the palm trees on the doors were covered with gold as well.

33. അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ അവന് മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ വാതിലിന്നും ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു കട്ടള ഉണ്ടാക്കി; അതു ചുവരിന്റെ നാലില് ഒരംശമായിരുന്നു.

33. At the entrance to the main room there was a square door frame made of olive wood.

34. അതിന്റെ കതകു രണ്ടും സരളമരംകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒരു കതകിന്നു രണ്ടു മടകൂപാളിയും മറ്റെ കതകിന്നു രണ്ടു മടകൂപാളിയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

34. Two doors were made from pine. Each door had two parts so the doors folded.

35. അവന് അവയില് കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടര്ന്ന പുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപങ്ങളെ കൊത്തി രൂപങ്ങളുടെമേല് പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

35. The doors were covered with pictures of creatures with wings, as well as palm trees and flowers. All of the carvings were covered with gold, which was evenly spread over them.

36. അവന് അകത്തെ പ്രാകാരം ചെത്തിയ കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു മൂന്നു വരിയും ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു വരിയുമായിട്ടു പണിതു.

36. The inner courtyard was enclosed by walls, which were made of three rows of cut stones and one row of cedar boards.

37. നാലാം ആണ്ടു സീവ് മാസത്തില് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്നു അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇടുകയും പതിനൊന്നാം ആണ്ടു എട്ടാം മാസമായ ബൂല് മാസത്തില് ആലയം അതിന്റെ സകലഭാഗങ്ങളുമായി അതിന്റെ മാതൃകപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും പണിതുതീര്ക്കുംകയും ചെയ്തു. അങ്ങനെ അവന് ഏഴാണ്ടുകൊണ്ടു അതു പണിതുതീര്ത്തു.

37. Work began on the Temple in Ziv, the second month, during the fourth year Solomon was king over Israel.
