1. പിന്നെ യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം സീയോന് എന്ന ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തില് നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവരേണ്ടതിന്നു ശലോമോന് യിസ്രായേല്മൂപ്പന്മാരെയും യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ പിതൃഭവനങ്ങളിലെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരായ സകല ഗോത്രപ്രധാനികളെയും യെരൂശലേമില് ശലോമോന് രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.

1. King Solomon called for the older leaders of Israel, the heads of the tribes, and the leaders of the families to come to him in Jerusalem. He wanted them to bring the Ark of the Agreement with the Lord from the older part of the city.

2. യിസ്രായേല്പുരുഷന്മാര് ഒക്കെയും ഏഴാംമാസമായ ഏഥാനീംമാസത്തിലെ ഉത്സവത്തില് ശലോമോന് രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുകൂടി.

2. So all the Israelites came together with King Solomon during the festival in the month of Ethanim, the seventh month.

3. യിസ്രായേല്മൂപ്പന്മാര് ഒക്കെയും വന്നപ്പോള് പുരോഹിതന്മാര് യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം എടുത്തു.

3. When all the older leaders of Israel arrived, the priests lifted up the Ark.

4. അവര് യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകവും സമാഗമനക്കുടാരവും കൂടാരത്തിലെ വിശുദ്ധഉപകരണങ്ങളൊക്കെയും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരുമത്രേ അവയെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നതു.

4. They carried the Ark of the Lord, the Meeting Tent, and the holy utensils; the priests and the Levites brought them up.

5. ശലോമോന് രാജാവും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുകൂടിയ യിസ്രായേല്സഭ ഒക്കെയും അവനോടുകൂടെ പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു മുമ്പില് എണ്ണവും കണക്കുമില്ലാതെ അനവധി ആടുകളെയും കാളകളെയും യാഗംകഴിച്ചു.

5. King Solomon and all the Israelites gathered before the Ark and sacrificed so many sheep and cattle no one could count them all.

6. പുരോഹിതന്മാര് യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം അതിന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തു, ആലയത്തിലെ അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തില് അതിവിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തു, കെരൂബുകളുടെ ചിറകിന് കീഴെ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു വെച്ചു.

6. Then the priests put the Ark of the Agreement with the Lord in its place inside the Most Holy Place in the Temple, under the wings of the golden creatures.

7. കെരൂബുകള് പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു മീതെ ചിറകു വിരിച്ചു പെട്ടകത്തെയും അതിന്റെ തണ്ടുകളെയും മൂടിനിന്നു.

7. The wings of these creatures were spread out over the place for the Ark, covering it and its carrying poles.

8. തണ്ടുകള് നീണ്ടിരിക്കയാല് തണ്ടുകളുടെ അറങ്ങള് അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിലുള്ള വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് നിന്നു കാണും; എങ്കിലും പുറത്തുനിന്നു കാണുകയില്ല; അവഇന്നുവരെയും അവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

8. The carrying poles were so long that anyone standing in the Holy Place in front of the Most Holy Place could see the ends of the poles, but no one could see them from outside the Holy Place. The poles are still there today.

9. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടശേഷം യഹോവ അവരോടു നിയമം ചെയ്തപ്പോള് മോശെ ഹോരേബില് വെച്ചു അതില് വെച്ചിരുന്ന രണ്ടു കല്പലകയല്ലാതെ പെട്ടകത്തില് മറ്റൊന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല;

9. The only things inside the Ark were two stone tabletsn that Moses had put in the Ark at Mount Sinai. That was where the Lord made his agreement with the Israelites after they came out of Egypt.

10. പുരോഹിതന്മാര് വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോള് മേഘം യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് നിറഞ്ഞു.

10. When the priests left the Holy Place, a cloud filled the Temple of the Lord.

11. യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു മേഘംനിമിത്തം ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു നില്പാന് പുരോഹിതന്മാര്ക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

11. The priests could not continue their work, because the Temple was filled with the glory of the Lord.

12. അപ്പോള് ശലോമോന് താന് കൂരിരുളില് വസിക്കുമെന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു;

12. Then Solomon said, 'The Lord said he would live in a dark cloud.

13. എങ്കിലും ഞാന് നിനക്കു ഒരു നിവാസാലയം, നിനക്കു എന്നേക്കും വസിപ്പാന് ഒരു സ്ഥലം, പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. Lord, I have truly built a wonderful Temple for you -- a place for you to live forever.'

14. പിന്നെ യിസ്രായേല്സഭ മുഴുവനും നിന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കെ രാജാവു മുഖം തിരിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സര്വ്വസഭയെയും അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാല്

14. While all the Israelites were standing there, King Solomon turned to them and blessed them.

15. എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു തിരുവായ്കൊണ്ടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു തൃക്കൈകൊണ്ടു നിവര്ത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന് .

15. Then he said, 'Praise the Lord, the God of Israel. He has done what he promised to my father David. The Lord said,

16. എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നാള്മുതല് എന്റെ നാമം ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിവാന് ഞാന് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകലഗോത്രങ്ങളിലും ഒരു പട്ടണം തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തില്ല; എന്നാല് എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു പ്രഭുവായിരിപ്പാന് ഞാന് ദാവീദിനെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു എന്നു അവന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

16. 'Since the time I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city in any tribe of Israel where a temple will be built for me. But I have chosen David to lead my people Israel.'

17. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയേണം എന്നു എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്നു താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

17. My father David wanted to build a temple for the Lord, the God of Israel.

18. എന്നാല് യഹോവ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടുഎന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയേണമെന്നു നിനക്കു താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായല്ലോ; അങ്ങനെ താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായതു നല്ലതു.

18. But the Lord said to my father David, 'It was good that you wanted to build a temple for me.

19. എങ്കിലും ആലയം പണിയേണ്ടതു നീയല്ല, നിന്റെ കടിപ്രദേശത്തുനിന്നുത്ഭവിക്കുന്ന മകന് തന്നേ എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ആലയം പണിയും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

19. But you are not the one to build it. Your son, who comes from your own body, is the one who will build my temple.'

20. അങ്ങനെ യഹോവ താന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം നിവര്ത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്നു പകരം ഞാന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയവും പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു.

20. 'Now the Lord has kept his promise. I am the king now in place of David my father. Now I rule Israel as the Lord promised, and I have built the Temple for the Lord, the God of Israel.

21. യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്നപ്പോള്, അവരോടു ചെയ്ത നിയമം ഇരിക്കുന്ന പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു ഞാന് അതില് ഒരു സ്ഥലം ഒരിക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

21. I have made a place there for the Ark, in which is the Agreement the Lord made with our ancestors when he brought them out of Egypt.'

22. അനന്തരം ശലോമോന് യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന് മുമ്പില് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സര്വ്വസഭയുടെയും സമക്ഷത്തു നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു ആകാശത്തിലേക്കു കൈ മലര്ത്തി പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാല്

22. Then Solomon stood facing the Lord's altar, and all the Israelites were standing behind him. He spread out his hands toward the sky

23. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, പൂര്ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാര്ക്കായി നിയമവും ദയയും പാലിക്കുന്ന നിന്നെപ്പോലെ മീതെ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലും താഴെ ഭൂമിയിലും യാതൊരു ദൈവവും ഇല്ല.

23. and said: 'Lord, God of Israel, there is no god like you in heaven above or on earth below. You keep your agreement of love with your servants who truly follow you.

24. നീ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്നു ചെയ്ത വാഗ്ദാനം പാലിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; തിരുവായ്കൊണ്ടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു ഇന്നു കാണുംപോലെ തൃക്കൈകൊണ്ടു നിര്വത്തിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

24. You have kept the promise you made to your servant David, my father. You spoke it with your own mouth and finished it with your hands today.

25. ആകയാല് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസനോടുനീ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടന്നതുപോലെ നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം തങ്ങളുടെ വഴി സൂക്ഷിക്കമാത്രം ചെയ്താല് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിപ്പാന് നിനക്കു ഒരു പുരുഷന് എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇല്ലാതെവരികയില്ല എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു നിവര്ത്തിക്കേണമേ.

25. Now Lord, God of Israel, keep the promise you made to your servant David, my father. You said, 'If your sons are careful to obey me as you have obeyed me, there will always be someone from your family ruling Israel.'

26. ഇപ്പോള് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസനോടു നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം ഒത്തുവരുമാറാകട്ടെ.

26. Now, God of Israel, please continue to keep that promise you made to your servant David, my father.

27. എന്നാല് ദൈവം യഥാര്ത്ഥമായി ഭൂമിയില് വസിക്കുമോ? സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലും സ്വര്ഗ്ഗാധിസ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലും നീ അടങ്ങുകയില്ലല്ലോ; പിന്നെ ഞാന് പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തില് അടങ്ങുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

27. But, God, can you really live here on the earth? The sky and the highest place in heaven cannot contain you. Surely this house which I have built cannot contain you.

28. എങ്കിലും എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അടിയന് ഇന്നു തിരുമുമ്പില് കഴിക്കുന്ന നിലവിളയും പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയും കേള്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടിയന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയിലേക്കും യാചനയിലേക്കും തിരിഞ്ഞു കടാക്ഷിക്കേണമേ.

28. But please listen to my prayer and my request, because I am your servant. Lord my God, hear this prayer your servant prays to you today.

29. അടിയന് ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു കഴിക്കുന്ന പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കേള്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുമെന്നു നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത സ്ഥലമായ ഈ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു രാവും പകലും തൃക്കണ്പാര്ത്തരുളേണമേ,

29. Night and day please watch over this Temple where you have said, 'I will be worshiped there.' Hear the prayer I pray facing this Temple.

30. ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന അടിയന്റെയും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും യാചന കേള്ക്കേണമേ. നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് കേള്ക്കേണമേ; കേട്ടു ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ.

30. Hear my prayers and the prayers of your people Israel when we pray facing this place. Hear from your home in heaven, and when you hear, forgive us.

31. ഒരുത്തന് തന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു കുറ്റം ചെയ്കയും അവന് അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്യിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കാര്യം സത്യത്തിന്നു വെക്കുകയും അവന് ഈ ആലയത്തില് നിന്റെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നു മുമ്പാകെ വന്നു സത്യം ചെയ്കയും ചെയ്താല്

31. 'If someone wrongs another person, he will be brought to the altar in this Temple. If he swears an oath that he is not guilty,

32. നീ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് കേട്ടു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു, ദുഷ്ടന്റെ നടപ്പു അവന്റെ തലമേല് വരുത്തി അവനെ ശിക്ഷിപ്പാനും നീതിമാന്റെ നീതിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം അവന്നു നല്കി അവനെ നീതീകരിപ്പാനും അടിയങ്ങള്ക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുതരേണമേ.

32. then hear in heaven. Judge the case, punish the guilty, but declare that the innocent person is not guilty.

33. നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേല് നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയകനിമിത്തം അവര് ശത്രുവിനോടു തോറ്റിട്ടു നിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ സ്വീകരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ഈ ആലയത്തില്വെച്ചു നിന്നോടു പ്രാര്്ത്ഥിക്കയും യാചിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്

33. 'When your people, the Israelites, sin against you, their enemies will defeat them. But if they come back to you and praise you and pray to you in this Temple,

34. നീ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് കേട്ടു നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പാപം ക്ഷമിച്ചു അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തേക്കു അവരെ മടക്കിവരുത്തേണമേ.

34. then hear them in heaven. Forgive the sins of your people Israel, and bring them back to the land you gave to their ancestors.

35. അവര് നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു ആകാശം അടഞ്ഞു മഴപെയ്യാതിരിക്കുമ്പോള് അവര് ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ സ്വീകരിക്കയും നീ അവരെ താഴ്ത്തിയതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുതരികയും ചെയ്താല്

35. 'When they sin against you, you will stop the rain from falling on their land. Then they will pray, facing this place and praising you; they will stop sinning when you make them suffer.

36. നീ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് കേട്ടു നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെയും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും പാപം ക്ഷമിച്ചു, അ:വര് നടക്കേണ്ടുന്ന നല്ല വഴി അവരെ ഉപദേശിക്കയും നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു അവകാശമായി കൊടുത്ത നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു മഴ പെയ്യിക്കയും ചെയ്യേണമേ.

36. When this happens, please hear their prayer in heaven, and forgive the sins of your servants, the Israelites. Teach them to do what is right. Then please send rain to this land you have given particularly to them.

37. ദേശത്തു ക്ഷാമമോ മഹാമാരിയോ വെണ്കതിര്, വിഷമഞ്ഞു, വെട്ടുക്കിളി, തുള്ളന് എന്നിവയോ ഉണ്ടായാല് അവരുടെ ശത്രു അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളുള്ള ദേശത്തു അവരെ നിരോധിച്ചാല് വല്ല വ്യാധിയോ വല്ല ദീനമോ ഉണ്ടായാല് യാതൊരുത്തനെങ്കിലും

37. 'At times the land will become so dry that no food will grow, or a great sickness will spread among the people. Sometimes all the crops will be destroyed by locusts or grasshoppers. Your people will be attacked in their cities by their enemy or will become sick.

38. നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേല് മുഴുവനെങ്കിലും വല്ല പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയും യാചനയും കഴിക്കയും ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ മന:പീഡ അറിഞ്ഞു ഈ ആലയത്തിങ്കലേക്കു കൈ മലര്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്താല്

38. When any of these things happen, the people will become truly sorry. If your people spread their hands in prayer toward this Temple,

39. നീ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് കേട്ടു ക്ഷമിക്കയും

39. then hear their prayers from your home in heaven. Forgive and treat each person as he should be treated because you know what is in a person's heart. Only you know what is in everyone's heart.

40. ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും നീ കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തു അവര് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും കാലത്തൊക്കെയും നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ ഔരോരുത്തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അറിയുന്നതുപോലെ ഔരാരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ നടപ്പുപോലെയൊക്കെയും ചെയ്തരുളേണമേ; നീ മാത്രമല്ലോ സകലമനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരുടെയും ഹൃദയത്തെ അറിയുന്നതു.

40. Then your people will respect you as long as they live in this land you gave to our ancestors.
