1. അതിന്നു ഇയ്യോബ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. Then Job answered:

2. നിങ്ങള് എത്രത്തോളം എന്റെ മനസ്സു വ്യസനിപ്പിക്കയും മൊഴികളാല് എന്നെ തകര്ക്കുംകയും ചെയ്യും?

2. How long will you torment me and crush me with words?

3. ഇപ്പോള് പത്തു പ്രാവശ്യം നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ നിന്ദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നോടു കാഠിന്യം കാണിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ലജ്ജയില്ല.

3. You have humiliated me ten times now, and you mistreat me without shame.

4. ഞാന് തെറ്റിപ്പോയതു വാസ്തവം എന്നു വരികില് എന്റെ തെറ്റു എനിക്കു തന്നേ അറിയാം.

4. Even if it is true that I have sinned, my mistake concerns only me.

5. നിങ്ങള് സാക്ഷാല് എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി വലിപ്പം ഭാവിച്ചു എന്റെ അപമാനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു എന്നെ ആക്ഷേപിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില്

5. If you really want to appear superior to me and would use my disgrace as evidence against me,

6. ദൈവം എന്നെ മറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു തന്റെ വലയില് എന്നെ കുടുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നറിവിന് .

6. then understand that it is God who has wronged me and caught me in His net.

7. അയ്യോ, ബലാല്ക്കാരം എന്നു ഞാന് നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; കേള്പ്പോരില്ല; രക്ഷെക്കായി ഞാന് മുറയിടുന്നു; ന്യായം കിട്ടുന്നതുമില്ല.

7. I cry out: Violence! but get no response; I call for help, but there is no justice.

8. എനിക്കു കടന്നുകൂടാതവണ്ണം അവന് എന്റെ വഴി കെട്ടിയടെച്ചു, എന്റെ പാതകള് ഇരുട്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. He has blocked my way so that I cannot pass through; He has veiled my paths with darkness.

9. എന്റെ തേജസ്സു അവന് എന്റെ മേല്നിന്നു ഊരിയെടുത്തു; എന്റെ തലയിലെ കിരീടം നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

9. He has stripped me of my honor and removed the crown from my head.

10. അവന് എന്നെ ചുറ്റും ക്ഷയിപ്പിച്ചു; എന്റെ കഥകഴിഞ്ഞു; ഒരു വൃക്ഷത്തെപ്പോലെ എന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയെ പറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. He tears me down on every side so that I am ruined. He uproots my hope like a tree.

11. അവന് തന്റെ കോപം എന്റെമേല് ജ്വലിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നെ തനിക്കു ശത്രുവായി എണ്ണുന്നു.

11. His anger burns against me, and He regards me as [one of] His enemies.

12. അവന്റെ പടക്കൂട്ടങ്ങള് ഒന്നിച്ചുവരുന്നു; അവര് എന്റെ നേരെ തങ്ങളുടെ വഴി നിരത്തുന്നു; എന്റെ കൂടാരത്തില് ചുറ്റും പാളയമിറങ്ങുന്നു.

12. His troops advance together; they construct a ramp against me and camp around my tent.

13. അവര് എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ എന്നോടു അകറ്റിക്കളഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ പരിചയക്കാര് എനിക്കു അന്യരായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

13. He has removed my brothers from me; my acquaintances have abandoned me.

14. എന്റെ ബന്ധുജനം ഒഴിഞ്ഞുമാറി; എന്റെ ഉറ്റ സ്നേഹിതന്മാര് എന്നെ മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

14. My relatives stop coming by, and my close friends have forgotten me.

15. എന്റെ വീട്ടില് പാര്ക്കുംന്നവരും എന്റെ ദാസികളും എന്നെ അന്യനായെണ്ണുന്നു; ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും പരദേശിയായ്തോന്നുന്നു.

15. My house guests and female servants regard me as a stranger; I am a foreigner in their sight.

16. ഞാന് എന്റെ ദാസനെ വിളിച്ചു; അവന് വിളി കേള്ക്കുന്നില്ല. എന്റെ വായ്കൊണ്ടു ഞാന് അവനോടു യാചിക്കേണ്ടിവരുന്നു.

16. I call for my servant, but he does not answer, even if I beg him with my own mouth.

17. എന്റെ ശ്വാസം എന്റെ ഭാര്യകൂ അസഹ്യവും എന്റെ യാചന എന്റെ ഉടപ്പിറന്നവര്ക്കും അറെപ്പും ആയിരിക്കുന്നു.

17. My breath is offensive to my wife, and my own children find me repulsive.

18. പിള്ളരും എന്നെ നിരസിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് എഴുന്നേറ്റാല് അവര് എന്നെ കളിയാക്കുന്നു.

18. Even young boys scorn me. When I stand up, they mock me.

19. എന്റെ പ്രാണസ്നേഹിതന്മാര് ഒക്കെയും എന്നെ വെറുക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കു പ്രിയരായവര് വിരോധികളായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

19. All of my best friends despise me, and those I love have turned against me.

20. എന്റെ അസ്ഥി ത്വക്കിനോടും മാംസത്തോടും പറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു; പല്ലിന്റെ മോണയോടെ ഞാന് ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

20. My skin and my flesh cling to my bones; I have escaped by the skin of my teeth.

21. സ്നേഹിതന്മാരേ, എന്നോടു കൃപ തോന്നേണമേ, കൃപ തോന്നേണമേ; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൈ എന്നെ തൊട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

21. Have mercy on me, my friends, have mercy, for God's hand has struck me.

22. ദൈവം എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളും എന്നെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നതെന്തു? എന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നു തൃപ്തിവരാത്തതു എന്തു?

22. Why do you persecute me as God [does]? Will you never get enough of my flesh?

23. അയ്യോ എന്റെ വാക്കുകള് ഒന്നു എഴുതിയെങ്കില്, ഒരു പുസ്തകത്തില് കുറിച്ചുവെച്ചെങ്കില് കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു.

23. I wish that my words were written down, that they were recorded on a scroll

24. അവയെ ഇരിമ്പാണിയും ഈയവുംകൊണ്ടു പാറയില് സദാകാലത്തേക്കു കൊത്തിവെച്ചെങ്കില് കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു.

24. or were inscribed in stone forever by an iron stylus and lead!

25. എന്നെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കുന്നവന് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും അവന് ഒടുവില് പൊടിമേല് നിലക്കുമെന്നും ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു.

25. But I know my living Redeemer, and He will stand on the dust at last.

26. എന്റെ ത്വക് ഇങ്ങനെ നശിച്ചശേഷം ഞാന് ദേഹരഹിതനായി ദൈവത്തെ കാണും.

26. Even after my skin has been destroyed, yet I will see God in my flesh.

27. ഞാന് തന്നേ അവനെ കാണും; അന്യനല്ല, എന്റെ സ്വന്തകണ്ണു അവനെ കാണും; എന്റെ അന്തരംഗം എന്റെ ഉള്ളില് ക്ഷയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

27. I will see Him myself; my eyes will look at [Him], and not as a stranger. My heart longs within me.

28. നാം എങ്ങനെ അവനെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുമെന്നും കാര്യത്തിന്റെ മൂലം എന്നില് കാണുന്നു എന്നും നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്നുവെങ്കില്

28. If you say, 'How will we pursue him, since the root of the problem lies with him?'

29. വാളിനെ പേടിപ്പിന് ; ക്രോധം വാളിന്റെ ശിക്ഷെക്കു ഹേതു; ഒരു ന്യായവിധി ഉണ്ടെന്നറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്വിന് .

29. be afraid of the sword, because wrath [brings] punishment by the sword, so that you may know there is a judgment.
