1. യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന് . യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു, അവന്റെ കല്പനകളില് ഏറ്റവും ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്ന മനുഷ്യന് ഭാഗ്യവാന് .

1. [Halleluyah]! How happy is anyone who fears ADONAI, who greatly delights in his [mitzvot].

2. അവന്റെ സന്തതി ഭൂമിയില് ബലപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും; നേരുള്ളവരുടെ തലമുറ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും.

2. His descendants will be powerful on earth, a blessed generation of upright people.

3. ഐശ്വര്യവും സമ്പത്തും അവന്റെ വീട്ടില് ഉണ്ടാകും; അവന്റെ നീതി എന്നേക്കും നിലനിലക്കുന്നു.

3. Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness stands forever.

4. നേരുള്ളവര്ക്കും ഇരുട്ടില് വെളിച്ചം ഉദിക്കുന്നു; അവന് കൃപയും കരുണയും നീതിയും ഉള്ളവനാകുന്നു.

4. To the upright he shines like a light in the dark, merciful, compassionate and righteous.

5. കൃപതോന്നി വായ്പകൊടുക്കുന്നവന് ശുഭമായിരിക്കും; വ്യവഹാരത്തില് അവന് തന്റെ കാര്യം നേടും.

5. Things go well with the person who is merciful and lends, who conducts his affairs with fairness;

6. അവന് ഒരു നാളും കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകയില്ല; നീതിമാന് എന്നേക്കും ഔര്മ്മയില് ഇരിക്കും.

6. for he will never be moved. The righteous will be remembered forever.

7. ദുര്വ്വര്ത്തമാനംനിമിത്തം അവന് ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല; അവന്റെ ഹൃദയം യഹോവയില് ആശ്രയിച്ചു ഉറെച്ചിരിക്കും.

7. He will not be frightened by bad news; he remains steady, trusting in ADONAI.

8. അവന്റെ ഹൃദയം ഭയപ്പെടാതെ സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന് ശത്രുക്കളില് തന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം നിവര്ത്തിച്ചുകാണും.

8. His heart is set firm, he will not be afraid, till finally he looks in triumph at his enemies.

9. അവന് വാരി വിതറി ദരിദ്രന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നീതി എന്നേക്കും നിലനിലക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ കൊമ്പു ബഹുമാനത്തോടെ ഉയര്ന്നിരിക്കും.

9. He distributes freely, he gives to the poor; his righteousness stands forever. His power will be increased honorably.

10. ദുഷ്ടന് അതു കണ്ടു വ്യസനിക്കും; അവന് പല്ലുകടിച്ചു ഉരുകിപ്പോകും; ദുഷ്ടന്റെ ആശ നശിച്ചുപോകും.

10. The wicked will be angry when they see this; they will gnash their teeth and waste away, the desires of the wicked will come to nothing.
