1. ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരുടെ നിമിത്തം നീ മുഷിയരുതു; നീതികേടു ചെയ്യുന്നവരോടു അസൂയപ്പെടുകയുമരുതു.

1. A Psalm of David. Fret not thyself at the ungodly, be not thou envious against the evil doers.

2. അവര് പുല്ലുപോലെ വേഗത്തില് ഉണങ്ങി പച്ചച്ചെടിപോലെ വാടിപ്പോകുന്നു.

2. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and be withered even as the green herb.

3. യഹോവയില് ആശ്രയിച്ചു നന്മചെയ്ക; ദേശത്തു പാര്ത്തു വിശ്വസ്തത ആചരിക്ക. യഹോവയില് തന്നേ രസിച്ചുകൊള്ക; അവന് നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ആഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നിനക്കു തരും.

3. Put thou thy trust in the LORD, and be doing good: so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily it shall feed thee.

4. നിന്റെ വഴി യഹോവയെ ഭരമേല്പിക്ക; അവനില് തന്നേ ആശ്രയിക്ക; അവന് അതു നിര്വ്വഹിക്കും.

4. Delight thou in the LORD, and he shall give thee thy heart's desire.

5. അവന് നിന്റെ നീതിയെ പ്രഭാതംപോലെയും നിന്റെ ന്യായത്തെ മദ്ധ്യാഹ്നംപോലെയും പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കും.

5. Commit thy way unto the LORD, set thy hope in him, and he shall bring it to pass.

6. യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ മിണ്ടാതെയിരുന്നു അവന്നായി പ്രത്യാശിക്ക; കാര്യസാധ്യം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നവനെയും ദുരുപായം പ്രയോഗിക്കുന്നവനെയും കുറിച്ചു നീ മുഷിയരുതു.

6. Yea He shall make thy righteousness as clear as the light, and thy just dealing as the noonday.

7. കോപം കളഞ്ഞു ക്രോധം ഉപേക്ഷിക്ക; മുഷിഞ്ഞു പോകരുതു; അതു ദോഷത്തിന്നു ഹേതുവാകേയുള്ളു.

7. Hold thee still in the LORD, and abide patiently upon him: but grieve not thyself at one that hath prosperity, and liveth in abomination.

8. ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാര് ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും; യഹോവയെ പ്രത്യാശിക്കുന്നവരോ ഭൂമിയെ കൈവശമാക്കും.

8. Leave off from wrath, let go displeasure, let not thy jealousy move thee also to do evil.

9. കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ദുഷ്ടന് ഇല്ല; നീ അവന്റെ ഇടം സൂക്ഷിച്ചുനോക്കും; അവനെ കാണുകയില്ല.

9. For wicked doers shall be rooted out, but they that patiently abide the LORD, shall inherit(enherit) the land.

10. എന്നാല് സൌമ്യതയുള്ളവര് ഭൂമിയെ കൈവശമാക്കും; സമാധാനസമൃദ്ധിയില് അവര് ആനന്ദിക്കും.

10. Suffer yet a little while, and the ungodly shall be clean gone: thou shalt look after his place, and he shall be away.

11. ദുഷ്ടന് നീതിമാന്നു ദോഷം നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നേരെ അവന് പല്ലു കടിക്കുന്നു.

11. But the meek spirited shall possess the earth, and have pleasure in much rest.

12. കര്ത്താവു അവനെ നോക്കി ചിരിക്കും; അവന്റെ ദിവസം വരുന്നു എന്നു അവന് കാണുന്നു. എളിയവനെയും ദരിദ്രനെയും വീഴിപ്പാനും സന്മാര്ഗ്ഗികളെ കൊല്ലുവാനും ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് വാളൂരി വില്ലു കുലെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

12. The ungodly layeth wait for the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

13. അവരുടെ വാള് അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തില് തന്നേ കടക്കും; അവരുടെ വില്ലുകള് ഒടിഞ്ഞുപോകും.

13. But the Lord(LORDE) laugheth him to scorn, for he seeth that his day is coming.

14. അനേകദുഷ്ടന്മാര്ക്കുംള്ള സമൃദ്ധിയെക്കാള് നീതിമാന്നുള്ള അല്പം ഏറ്റവും നല്ലതു.

14. The ungodly draw out the sword and bend their bow, to cast down the simple and poor, and to slay such as go the right way.

15. ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ഭുജങ്ങള് ഒടിഞ്ഞുപോകും; എന്നാല് നീതിമാന്മാരെ യഹോവ താങ്ങും.

15. Nevertheless, their sword shall go thorow their own heart, and their bow shall be broken.

16. യഹോവ നിഷ്കളങ്കന്മാരുടെ നാളുകളെ അറിയുന്നു; അവരുടെ അവകാശം ശാശ്വതമായിരിക്കും.

16. A small thing that the righteous hath, is better than the great riches of the ungodly.

17. ദുഷ്കാലത്തു അവര് ലജ്ജിച്ചു പോകയില്ല; ക്ഷാമകാലത്തു അവര് തൃപ്തരായിരിക്കും,

17. For the arms of the ungodly shall be broken, but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

18. എന്നാല് ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് നശിച്ചുപോകും; യഹോവയുടെ ശത്രുക്കള് പുല്പുറത്തിന്റെ ഭംഗിപോലേയുള്ളു; അവര് ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും; പുകപോലെ ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും.

18. The LORD knoweth the days of the godly, and their inheritance endureth for ever.

19. ദുഷ്ടന് വായ്പ വാങ്ങുന്നു തിരികെ കൊടുക്കുന്നില്ല; നീതിമാനോ കൃപാലുവായി ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

19. They shall not be confounded in the perilous time, and in the days of dearth they shall have enough.

20. അവനാല് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവര് ഭൂമിയെ കൈവശമാക്കും. അവനാല് ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.

20. As for the ungodly, they shall perish: and when the enemies of the LORD are in their flourish,(flouris, flurries) they shall consume, yea even as the smoke shall they consume away.

21. ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ വഴിയില് പ്രസാദം തോന്നിയാല് യഹോവ അവന്റെ ഗമനം സ്ഥിരമാക്കുന്നു.

21. The ungodly borroweth, and payeth not again, but the righteous is merciful and liberal.

22. അവന് വീണാലും നിലംപരിചാകയില്ല; യഹോവ അവനെ കൈ പിടിച്ചു താങ്ങുന്നു.

22. Such as be blessed of him, shall possess the land: and they whom he curseth, shall be rooted out.

23. ഞാന് ബാലനായിരുന്നു, വൃദ്ധനായിത്തീര്ന്നു; നീതിമാന് തുണയില്ലാതിരിക്കുന്നതും അവന്റെ സന്തതി ആഹാരം ഇരക്കുന്നതും ഞാന് കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.

23. The LORD ordereth a good man's going, and hath pleasure in his way.

24. അവന് നിത്യം കൃപാലുവായി വായ്പ കൊടുക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ സന്തതി അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

24. Though he fall, he shall not be hurt, for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

25. ദോഷം വിട്ടൊഴിഞ്ഞു ഗുണം ചെയ്ക; എന്നാല് നീ സദാകാലം സുഖമായി വസിക്കും.

25. I have been young, and now am old: yet saw I never the righteous forsaken, nor his seed to seek their bread.

26. യഹോവ ന്യായപ്രിയനാകുന്നു; തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല; അവര് എന്നേക്കും പരിപാലിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സന്തതിയോ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.

26. The righteous is ever merciful, and lendeth gently, therefore shall his seed be blessed.

27. നീതിമാന്മാര് ഭൂമിയെ അവകാശമാക്കി എന്നേക്കും അതില് വസിക്കും;

27. Flee from evil, and do the thing that is good, so shalt thou dwell forever.

28. നീതിമാന്റെ വായ് ജ്ഞാനം പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നാവു ന്യായം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

28. For the LORD loveth the thing that is right, he forsaketh not his saints, but they shall be preserved for evermore: as for the seed of the ungodly, it shall be rooted out.

29. തന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അവന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് ഉണ്ടു; അവന്റെ കാലടികള് വഴുതുകയില്ല.

29. Yea, the righteous shall possess the land, and dwell therein for ever.

30. ദുഷ്ടന് നീതിമാന്നായി പതിയിരുന്നു, അവനെ കൊല്ലുവാന് നോക്കുന്നു.

30. The mouth of the righteous is exercised in wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

31. യഹോവ അവനെ അവന്റെ കയ്യില് വിട്ടുകൊടുക്കയില്ല; ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തില് അവനെ കുറ്റംവിധിക്കയുമില്ല.

31. The law of his God is in his heart, therefore shall not his footsteps slide.

32. യഹോവെക്കായി പ്രത്യാശിച്ചു അവന്റെ വഴി പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്ക; എന്നാല് ഭൂമിയെ അവകാശമാക്കുവാന് അവന് നിന്നെ ഉയര്ത്തും; ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതു നീ കാണും.

32. The ungodly seeth the righteous, and goeth about to slay him.

33. ദുഷ്ടന് പ്രബലനായിരിക്കുന്നതും; സ്വദേശികമായ പച്ചവൃക്ഷംപോലെ തഴെക്കുന്നതും ഞാന് കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു.

33. But the LORD will not leave him in his hands, nor condemn him when he is judged.

34. ഞാന് പിന്നെ അതിലെ പോയപ്പോള് അവന് ഇല്ല; ഞാന് അന്വേഷിച്ചു, അവനെ കണ്ടതുമില്ല.

34. Hope thou in the LORD, and keep his way. And he shall so promote thee, that thou shalt have the land by inheritance, and see, when the ungodly shall perish.

35. നിഷ്കളങ്കനെ കുറിക്കൊള്ളുക; നേരുള്ളവനെ നോക്കിക്കൊള്ക; സമാധാനപുരുഷന്നു സന്തതി ഉണ്ടാകും.

35. I myself have seen the ungodly in great power, and flourishing like a green bay tree:

36. എന്നാല് അതിക്രമക്കാര് ഒരുപോലെ മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സന്താനം ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.

36. but when I went by, lo, he was gone: I sought him, but he could no where be found.

37. നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ രക്ഷ യഹോവയിങ്കല്നിന്നു വരുന്നു; കഷ്ടകാലത്തു അവന് അവരുടെ ദുര്ഗ്ഗം ആകുന്നു.

37. Keep innocency, and take heed unto the thing that is right, for that shall bring a man peace at the last.

38. യഹോവ അവരെ സഹായിച്ചു വിടുവിക്കുന്നു; അവര് അവനില് ആശ്രയിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവന് അവരെ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

38. As for the transgressors, they shall perish together, and the ungodly shall be rooted out at the last.
