1. എന്റെ നീതിയായ ദൈവമേ, ഞാന് വിളിക്കുമ്പോള് ഉത്തരമരുളേണമേ; ഞാന് ഞെരുക്കത്തില് ഇരുന്നപ്പോള് നീ എനിക്കു വിശാലത വരുത്തി; എന്നോടു കൃപതോന്നി എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കേള്ക്കേണമേ.

1. Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness. Thou have enlarged me in distress. Have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

2. പുരുഷന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങള് എത്രത്തോളം എന്റെ മാനത്തെ നിന്ദയാക്കി മായയെ ഇച്ഛിച്ചു വ്യാജത്തെ അന്വേഷിക്കും? സേലാ.

2. O ye sons of men, how long shall my glory be turned into dishonor? Will ye love vanity, and seek after falsehood? Selah.

3. യഹോവ ഭക്തനെ തനിക്കു വേറുതിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നറിവിന് ; ഞാന് യഹോവയെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോള് അവന് കേള്ക്കും.

3. But know that LORD has set apart for himself him who is holy. LORD will hear when I call to him.

4. നടുങ്ങുവിന് ; പാപം ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പിന് ; നിങ്ങളുടെ കിടക്കമേല് ഹൃദയത്തില് ധ്യാനിച്ചു മൌനമായിരിപ്പിന് . സേലാ.

4. Stand in awe, and sin not. Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

5. നീതിയാഗങ്ങളെ അര്പ്പിപ്പിന് ; യഹോവയില് ആശ്രയം വെപ്പിന് .

5. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in LORD.

6. നമുക്കു ആര് നന്മ കാണിക്കും എന്നു പലരും പറയുന്നു; യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ മുഖപ്രകാശം ഞങ്ങളുടെ മേല് ഉദിപ്പിക്കേണമേ.

6. Many there are who say, Who will show us good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

7. ധാന്യവും വീഞ്ഞും വര്ദ്ധിച്ചപ്പോള് അവര്ക്കുണ്ടായതിലും അധികം സന്തോഷം നീ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. Thou have put gladness in my heart more than when their grain and their new wine are increased.

8. ഞാന് സമാധാനത്തോടെ കിടന്നുറങ്ങും; നീയല്ലോ യഹോവേ, എന്നെ നിര്ഭയം വസിക്കുമാറാക്കുന്നതു.

8. In peace I will both lay down and sleep, for thou, LORD, alone make me dwell in safety.
