1. അത്യുന്നതന്റെ മറവില് വസിക്കയും സര്വ്വശക്തന്റെ നിഴലിന് കീഴില് പാര്ക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന്

1. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2. യഹോവയെക്കുറിച്ചുഅവന് എന്റെ സങ്കേതവും കോട്ടയും ഞാന് ആശ്രയിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ദൈവവും എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

2. I say of Jehovah, My refuge and my fortress; my God, I will confide in him.

3. അവന് നിന്നെ വേട്ടക്കാരന്റെ കണിയില് നിന്നും നാശകരമായ മഹാമാരിയില്നിന്നും വിടുവിക്കും.

3. Surely *he* shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, [and] from the destructive pestilence.

4. തന്റെ തൂവലുകള്കൊണ്ടു അവന് നിന്നെ മറെക്കും; അവന്റെ ചിറകിന് കീഴില് നീ ശരണം പ്രാപിക്കും; അവന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തത നിനക്കു പരിചയും പലകയും ആകുന്നു.

4. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou find refuge: his truth is a shield and buckler.

5. രാത്രിയിലെ ഭയത്തെയും പകല് പറക്കുന്ന അസ്ത്രത്തെയും

5. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, for the arrow that flieth by day,

6. ഇരുട്ടില് സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന മഹാമാരിയെയും ഉച്ചെക്കു നശിപ്പിക്കുന്ന സംഹാരത്തെയും നിനക്കു പേടിപ്പാനില്ല.

6. For the pestilence that walketh in darkness, for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7. നിന്റെ വശത്തു ആയിരം പേരും നിന്റെ വലത്തുവശത്തു പതിനായിരം പേരും വീഴും, എങ്കിലും അതു നിന്നോടു അടുത്തുവരികയില്ല.

7. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; [but] it shall not come nigh thee.

8. നിന്റെ കണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു തന്നേ നീ നോക്കി ദുഷ്ടന്മാര്ക്കും വരുന്ന പ്രതിഫലം കാണും.

8. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, and see the reward of the wicked.

9. യഹോവേ, നീ എന്റെ സങ്കേതമാകുന്നു; നീ അത്യുന്നതനെ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമാക്കി ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

9. Because *thou* hast made Jehovah, my refuge, the Most High, thy dwelling-place,

10. ഒരു അനര്ത്ഥവും നിനക്കു ഭവിക്കയില്ല; ഒരു ബാധയും നിന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിന്നു അടുക്കയില്ല.

10. There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent.

11. നിന്റെ എല്ലാവഴികളിലും നിന്നെ കാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു തന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരോടു കല്പിക്കും;

11. For he shall give his angels charge concerning thee, to keep thee in all thy ways:

12. നിന്റെ കാല് കല്ലില് തട്ടിപ്പോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് നിന്നെ കൈകളില് വഹിച്ചുകൊള്ളും.

12. They shall bear thee up in [their] hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13. സിംഹത്തിന്മേലും അണലിമേലും നീ ചവിട്ടും; ബാലസിംഹത്തെയും പെരുമ്പാമ്പിനെയും നീ മെതിച്ചുകളയും.

13. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and the adder; the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under foot.

14. അവന് എന്നോടു പറ്റിയിരിക്കയാല് ഞാന് അവനെ വിടുവിക്കും; അവന് എന്റെ നാമത്തെ അറികയാല് ഞാന് അവനെ ഉയര്ത്തും.

14. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15. അവന് എന്നെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും; ഞാന് അവന്നു ഉത്തരമരുളും; കഷ്ടകാലത്തു ഞാന് അവനോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കും; ഞാന് അവനെ വിടുവിച്ചു മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും.

15. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him.

16. ദീര്ഘായുസ്സുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് അവന്നു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തും; എന്റെ രക്ഷയെ അവന്നു കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും. (ശബ്ബത്ത് നാള്ക്കുള്ള ഒരു ഗീതം; ഒരു സങ്കീര്ത്തനം.)

16. With length of days will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
