1. പ്രതികാരത്തിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, പ്രതികാരത്തിന്റെ ദൈവമേ, പ്രകാശിക്കേണമേ.
1 തെസ്സലൊനീക്യർ 4:6

1. O *God of vengeances, Jehovah, *God of vengeances, shine forth;

2. ഭൂമിയുടെ ന്യായാധിപതിയേ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കേണമേ; ഡംഭികള്ക്കു നീ പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യേണമേ.

2. Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth, render the reward to the proud.

3. യഹോവേ, ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് എത്രത്തോളം, ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് എത്രത്തോളം ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്കും?

3. How long shall the wicked, O Jehovah, how long shall the wicked triumph?

4. അവര് ശകാരിച്ചു ധാര്ഷ്ട്യം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; നീതികേടു പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന ഏവരും വമ്പു പറയുന്നു.

4. [How long] shall they utter [and] speak insolence -- all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

5. യഹോവേ, അവര് നിന്റെ ജനത്തെ തകര്ത്തുകളയുന്നു; നിന്റെ അവകാശത്തെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

5. They crush thy people, O Jehovah, and afflict thine inheritance;

6. അവര് വിധവയെയും പരദേശിയെയും കൊല്ലുന്നു; അനാഥന്മാരെ അവര് ഹിംസിക്കുന്നു.

6. They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless,

7. യഹോവ കാണുകയില്ല എന്നും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവം ഗ്രഹിക്കയില്ലെന്നും അവര് പറയുന്നു.

7. And say, Jah will not see, neither will the God of Jacob regard [it].

8. ജനത്തില് മൃഗപ്രായരായവരേ, ചിന്തിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് ; ഭോഷന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എപ്പോള് ബുദ്ധിവരും?

8. Understand, ye brutish among the people; and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

9. ചെവിയെ നട്ടവന് കേള്ക്കയില്ലയോ? കണ്ണിനെ നിര്മ്മിച്ചവന് കാണുകയില്ലയോ?

9. He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? He that formed the eye, shall he not see?

10. ജാതികളെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നവന് ശാസിക്കയില്ലയോ? അവന് മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും ജ്ഞാനം ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?

10. He that instructeth the nations, shall not he correct -- he that teacheth man knowledge?

11. മനുഷ്യരുടെ വിചാരങ്ങളെ മായ എന്നു യഹോവ അറിയുന്നു.
1 കൊരിന്ത്യർ 3:20

11. Jehovah knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

12. യഹോവേ, ദുഷ്ടന്നു കുഴി കുഴിക്കുവോളം അനര്ത്ഥദിവസത്തില് നീ അവനെ വിശ്രമിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു

12. Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Jah, and whom thou teachest out of thy law;

13. നീ ശിക്ഷിക്കയും നിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം നീ ഉപദേശിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന മനുഷ്യന് ഭാഗ്യവാന് .

13. That thou mayest give him rest from the days of evil, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

14. യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തെ തള്ളിക്കളകയില്ല; തന്റെ അവകാശത്തെ കൈവിടുകയുമില്ല.
റോമർ 11:1-2

14. For Jehovah will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance;

15. ന്യായവിധി നീതിയിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞുവരും; പരമാര്ത്ഥഹൃദയമുള്ളവരൊക്കെയും അതിനോടു യോജിക്കും.

15. For judgment shall return unto righteousness, and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

16. ദുഷ്കര്മ്മികളുടെ നേരെ ആര് എനിക്കു വേണ്ടി എഴുന്നേലക്കും? നീതികേടു പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവരോടു ആര് എനിക്കു വേണ്ടി എതിര്ത്തുനിലക്കും?

16. Who will rise up for me against the evil-doers? who will stand for me against the workers of iniquity?

17. യഹോവ എനിക്കു സഹായമായിരുന്നില്ലെങ്കില് എന്റെ പ്രാണന് വേഗം മൌനവാസം ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു.

17. If Jehovah had not been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

18. എന്റെ കാല് വഴുതുന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള് യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ ദയ എന്നെ താങ്ങി.

18. When I said, My foot slippeth, thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, held me up.

19. എന്റെ ഉള്ളിലെ വിചാരങ്ങളുടെ ബഹുത്വത്തില് നിന്റെ ആശ്വാസങ്ങള് എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ തണുപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

19. In the multitude of my anxious thoughts within me thy comforts have delighted my soul.

20. നിയമത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി കഷ്ടത നിര്മ്മിക്കുന്ന ദുഷ്ടസിംഹാസനത്തിന്നു നിന്നോടു സഖ്യത ഉണ്ടാകുമോ?

20. Shall the throne of wickedness be united to thee, which frameth mischief into a law?

21. നീതിമാന്റെ പ്രാണന്നു വിരോധമായി അവര് കൂട്ടംകൂടുന്നു; കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തത്തെ അവര് ശിക്ഷെക്കു വിധിക്കുന്നു.

21. They band together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.

22. എങ്കിലും യഹോവ എനിക്കു ഗോപുരവും എന്റെ ശരണശൈലമായ എന്റെ ദൈവവും ആകുന്നു.

22. But Jehovah will be my high tower; and my God the rock of my refuge.

23. അവന് അവരുടെ നീതികേടു അവരുടെമേല് തന്നേ വരുത്തും; അവരുടെ ദുഷ്ടതയില് തന്നേ അവരെ സംഹരിക്കും; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവരെ സംഹരിച്ചുകളയും.

23. And he will bring upon them their iniquity, and will cut them off in their own evil: Jehovah our God will cut them off.
