1. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് മിസ്രയീം ദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടതിന്റെ മൂന്നാം മാസത്തില് അതേ ദിവസം അവര് സീനായിമരുഭൂമിയില് എത്തി.

1. In the thirde moneth when the chyldren of Israel were gone out of the lande of Egypt, the same day came they into the wyldernesse of Sinai.

2. അവര് രെഫീദീമില്നിന്നു യാത്ര പുറപ്പെട്ടു, സീനായിമരുഭൂമിയില് വന്നു, മരുഭൂമിയില് പാളയമിറങ്ങി; അവിടെ പര്വ്വതത്തിന്നു എതിരെ യിസ്രായേല് പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

2. For they were departed from Raphidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched their tentes in the wyldernesse, and there Israel campped before the mounte.

3. മോശെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് കയറിച്ചെന്നു; യഹോവ പര്വ്വതത്തില് നിന്നു അവനോടു വിളിച്ചു കല്പിച്ചതുനീ യാക്കോബ് ഗൃഹത്തോടു പറകയും യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു അറിയിക്കയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാല്

3. But Moyses went vp vnto God, and the Lorde called vnto hym out of the mountayne, saying: Thus shalt thou say vnto the house of Iacob, and tell the chyldren of Israel,

4. ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമ്യരോടു ചെയ്തതും നിങ്ങളെ കഴുകന്മാരുടെ ചിറകിന്മേല് വഹിച്ചു എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുത്തിയതും നിങ്ങള് കണ്ടുവല്ലോ.

4. Ye haue seene what I did vnto the Egyptians, and toke you vp vpon Eagles wynges, and haue brought you vnto my selfe.

5. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു അനുസരിക്കയും എന്റെ നിയമം പ്രമാണിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് നിങ്ങള് എനിക്കു സകലജാതികളിലുംവെച്ചു പ്രത്യേക സമ്പത്തായിരിക്കും; ഭൂമി ഒക്കെയും എനിക്കുള്ളതല്ലോ.

5. Nowe therefore yf ye wyll heare my voyce in deede, and kepe my couenaunt, ye shall be [as] a deare treasure vnto me aboue all nations: for al the earth is myne.

6. നിങ്ങള് എനിക്കു ഒരു പുരോഹിതരാജത്വവും വിശുദ്ധജനവും ആകും. ഇവ നീ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറയേണ്ടുന്ന വചനങ്ങള് ആകുന്നു.

6. Ye shalbe vnto me also a kingdome of priestes, & an holy people: And these are the wordes whiche thou shalt say vnto the children of Israel.

7. മോശെ വന്നു ജനത്തിന്റെ മൂപ്പന്മാരെ വിളിച്ചു, യഹോവ തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ച ഈ വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും അവരെ പറഞ്ഞു കേള്പ്പിച്ചു.

7. Moyses came and called for the elders of the people, and layde before theyr faces all these wordes whiche the Lorde commaunded hym.

8. യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങള് ചെയ്യും എന്നു ജനം ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. മോശെ ജനത്തിന്റെ വാക്കു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.

8. And the people aunswered altogether, and sayde: All that the Lorde hath sayd, we will do. And Moyses brought the wordes of the people vnto ye Lord.

9. യഹോവ മോശെയോടുഞാന് നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോള് ജനം കേള്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും നിന്നെ എന്നേക്കും വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ഞാന് ഇതാ, മേഘതമസ്സില് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുന്നു എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു, ജനത്തിന്റെ വാക്കു മോശെ യഹോവയോടു ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.

9. And the Lorde sayd vnto Moyses: lo, I come vnto thee in a thicke cloude, that the people may heare me talkyng with thee, and beleue thee for euer. Moyses shewed the wordes of the people vnto the Lorde.

10. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുനീ ജനത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു ഇന്നും നാളെയും അവരെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്ക;

10. And the Lorde sayde vnto Moyses: Go vnto the people, and sanctifie the to day and to morowe, and let them washe theyr clothes.

11. അവര് വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി, മൂന്നാം ദിവസത്തേക്കു ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കട്ടേ; മൂന്നാം ദിവസം യഹോവ സകല ജനവും കാണ്കെ സീനായിപര്വ്വത്തില് ഇറങ്ങും.

11. And be redy against the thirde day, for the thirde day the Lorde wyll come downe in the sight of all the people vppon mount Sinai.

12. ജനം പര്വ്വതത്തില് കയറാതെയും അതിന്റെ അടിവാരം തൊടാതെയും ഇരിപ്പാന് സൂക്ഷിക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. നീ അവര്ക്കായി ചുറ്റും അതിര് തിരിക്കേണം; പര്വ്വതം തൊടുന്നവന് എല്ലാം മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം.

12. And thou shalt set boundes vnto the people rounde about, & say: take heede to your selues that ye go not vp into the mount, or touche the border of it: whosoeuer toucheth the mounte, shall surelye dye.

13. കൈ തൊടാതെ അവനെ കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞോ എയ്തോ കൊന്നുകളയേണം; മൃഗമായാലും മനുഷ്യനായാലും ജീവനോടിരിക്കരുതു. കാഹളം ദീര്ഘമായി ധ്വനിക്കുമ്പോള് അവര് പര്വ്വതത്തിന്നു അടുത്തു വരട്ടെ.

13. There shall not an hande touche it, els he shalbe stoned, or shot through: whether it be beast, or man, it shall not liue: when the trumpet bloweth long, then may they come vp into the mountayne.

14. മോശെ പര്വ്വതത്തില്നിന്നു ജനത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു ജനത്തെ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു; അവര് വസ്ത്രം അലക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

14. And Moyses went downe from the mount vnto the people, and sanctified them, and they washed their clothes.

15. അവന് ജനത്തോടുമൂന്നാം ദിവസത്തേക്കു ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിപ്പിന് ; നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാരുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെല്ലരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

15. And he sayd vnto the people: be redy agaynst the thirde day, and come not at [your] wyues.

16. മൂന്നാം ദിവസം നേരം വെളുത്തപ്പോള് ഇടിമുഴക്കവും മിന്നലും പര്വ്വതത്തില് കാര്മേഘവും മഹാഗംഭീരമായ കാഹളധ്വനിയും ഉണ്ടായി; പാളയത്തിലുള്ള ജനം ഒക്കെയും നടുങ്ങി.

16. And the thirde day in the mornyng there was thunder and lyghtnyng, and a thicke cloude vpon the mount, and the voyce of the trumpet exceedyng loude, so that all the people that was in the hoast was afrayde.

17. ദൈവത്തെ എതിരേല്പാന് മോശെ ജനത്തെ പാളയത്തില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു; അവര് പര്വ്വതത്തിന്റെ അടിവാരത്തുനിന്നു.

17. And Moyses brought the people out of the tentes to meete with God, and thei stoode at the neather part of the hil.

18. യഹോവ തീയില് സീനായി പര്വ്വതത്തില് ഇറങ്ങുകയാല് അതു മുഴുവനും പുകകൊണ്ടു മൂടി; അതിന്റെ പുക തീച്ചൂളയിലെ പുകപോലെ പൊങ്ങി; പര്വ്വതം ഒക്കെയും ഏറ്റവും കുലുങ്ങി.

18. And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the Lorde descended downe vpon it in fire, and the smoke thereof, ascended vp as the smoke of a furnace, and all the mount quaked exceedyngly.

19. കാഹളധ്വനി ദീര്ഘമായി ഉറച്ചുറച്ചുവന്നപ്പോള് മോശെ സംസാരിച്ചു; ദൈവം ഉച്ചത്തില് അവനോടു ഉത്തരം അരുളി.

19. And when the voyce of the trumpet blewe long, and waxed louder and louder, Moyses spake, and God aunswered hym by a voyce.

20. യഹോവ സീനായി പര്വ്വതത്തില് പര്വ്വതത്തിന്റെ കൊടുമുടിയില് ഇറങ്ങി; യഹോവ മോശെയെ പര്വ്വതത്തിന്റെ കൊടുമുടിയിലേക്കു വിളിച്ചു; മോശെ കയറിച്ചെന്നു.

20. And the Lorde came downe vpon mount Sinai, euen in the toppe of the hill: & when the Lord called Moyses vp into the top of the hil, Moyses went vp.

21. യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാല്ജനം നോക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കല് കടന്നുവന്നിട്ടു അവരില് പലരും നശിച്ചുപോകാതിരിപ്പാന് നീ ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു അവരോടു അമര്ച്ചയായി കല്പിക്ക.

21. And the Lorde sayd vnto Moyses: Go downe, charge the people, lest they breake out from their boundes to see the Lorde, and so many of them perishe.

22. യഹോവയോടു അടുക്കുന്ന പുരോഹിതന്മാരും യഹോവ അവര്ക്കും ഹാനി വരുത്താതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തങ്ങളെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കട്ടെ.

22. And let the priestes also whiche come to the Lorde sanctifie them selues, lest the Lorde destroy them.

23. മോശെ യഹോവയോടുജനത്തിന്നു സീനായിപര്വ്വത്തില് കയറുവാന് പാടില്ല; പര്വ്വതത്തിന്നു അതിര് തിരിച്ചു അതിനെ ശുദ്ധമാക്കുക എന്നു ഞങ്ങളോടു അമര്ച്ചയായി കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

23. And Moyses said vnto the Lord: The people can not come vp into the mount Sinai, for thou chargest vs, saying: set boundes about the hill, and sanctifie it.

24. യഹോവ അവനോടുഇറങ്ങിപ്പോക; നീ അഹരോനുമായി കയറിവരിക; എന്നാല് പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ജനവും യഹോവ അവര്ക്കും നാശം വരുത്താതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കയറുവാന് അതിര് കടക്കരുതു.

24. And the Lord sayd vnto him: Away, and get thee downe, & thou shalt come vp, thou and Aaron with thee: but let not the priestes and the people presume for to come vp vnto the Lord, lest he destroy them.

25. അങ്ങനെ മോശെ ജനത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. And so Moyses went downe vnto the people, and tolde them.
