1. യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുനോകൂ, ഞാന് നിന്നെ ഫറവോന്നു ദൈവമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ സഹോദരന് അഹരോന് നിനക്കു പ്രവാചകനായിരിക്കും.

1. And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.

2. ഞാന് നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും നീ പറയേണം; നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അഹരോന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളെ തന്റെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു വിട്ടയപ്പാന് ഫറവോനോടു പറയേണം.

2. Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.

3. എന്നാല് ഞാന് ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കും; മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എന്റെ അടയാളങ്ങളും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും പെരുക്കും.

3. And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.

4. ഫറവോന് നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കയില്ല; ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമിന്മേല് എന്റെ കൈവെച്ചു വലിയ ശിക്ഷാവിധികളാല് എന്റെ ഗണങ്ങളെ, എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേല് മക്കളെ തന്നേ, മിസ്രയിംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കും.

4. But Pharaoh will not hearken unto you, and I will lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth my hosts, my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.

5. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് എന്റെ കൈ മിസ്രയീമിന്മേല് നീട്ടി, യിസ്രായേല് മക്കളെ അവരുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുമ്പോള് ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു മിസ്രയീമ്യര് അറിയും.

5. And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.

6. മോശെയും അഹരോനും യഹോവ തങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു. അവര് അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്തു.

6. And Moses and Aaron did so; as the LORD commanded them, so did they.

7. അവര് ഫറവോനോടു സംസാരിച്ച കാലത്തു മോശെക്കു എണ്പതു വയസ്സും അഹരോന്നു എണ്പത്തുമൂന്നു വയസ്സും ആയിരുന്നു.

7. And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh.

8. യഹോവ മോശെയോടും അഹരോനോടും

8. And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

9. ഫറവോന് നിങ്ങളോടു ഒരു അത്ഭുതം കാണിപ്പിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല് നീ അഹരോനോടുനിന്റെ വടി എടുത്തു ഫറവോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിലത്തിടുക എന്നു പറയേണം; അതു ഒരു സര്പ്പമായ്തീരും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

9. When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a wonder for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it down before Pharaoh, that it become a serpent.

10. അങ്ങനെ മോശെയും അഹരോനും ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു യഹോവ തങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു. അഹരോന് തന്റെ വടി ഫറവോന്റെയും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ നിലത്തിട്ടു; അതു സര്പ്പമായ്തീര്ന്നു.

10. And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so, as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent.

11. അപ്പോള് ഫറവോന് വിദ്വാന്മാരെയും ക്ഷുദ്രക്കാരെയും വിളിപ്പിച്ചു; മിസ്രയീമ്യമന്ത്രവാദികളായ ഇവരും തങ്ങളുടെ മന്ത്രവാദത്താല് അതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു.

11. Then Pharaoh also called for the wise men and the sorcerers: and they also, the magicians of Egypt, did in like manner with their enchantments.

12. അവര് ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ വടി നിലത്തിട്ടു; അവയും സര്പ്പങ്ങളായ്തീര്ന്നു; എന്നാല് അഹരോന്റെ വടി അവരുടെ വടികളെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

12. For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.

13. ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയമോ, യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ കഠിനപ്പെട്ടു; അവന് അവരെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചതുമില്ല.

13. And Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken.

14. അപ്പോള് യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയപ്പാന് അവന്നു മനസ്സില്ല.

14. And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh's heart is stubborn, he refuseth to let the people go.

15. രാവിലെ നീ ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെല്ലുക; അവന് വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഇറങ്ങിവരും; നീ അവനെ കാണ്മാന് നദീതീരത്തു നില്ക്കേണം; സര്പ്പമായ്തീര്ന്ന വടിയും കയ്യില് എടുത്തുകൊള്ളേണം.

15. Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river's brink to meet him; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand.

16. അവനോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്മരുഭൂമിയില് എന്നെ ആരാധിപ്പാന് എന്റെ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയക്ക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു എബ്രായരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്നെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് അയച്ചു; നീയോ ഇതുവരെ കേട്ടില്ല.

16. And thou shalt say unto him, The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou hast not hearkened.

17. ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു നീ ഇതിനാല് അറിയും എന്നിങ്ങനെ യഹോവ കല്പിക്കുന്നു; ഇതാ, എന്റെ കയ്യിലുള്ള വടികൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നദിയിലെ വെള്ളത്തില് അടിക്കും; അതു രക്തമായ്തീരും;

17. Thus saith the LORD, In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.

18. നദിയിലെ മത്സ്യം ചാകും. നദി നാറും; നദിയിലെ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പന് മിസ്രയീമ്യര്ക്കും അറെപ്പു തോന്നും.

18. And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall loathe to drink water from the river.

19. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടുനീ അഹരോനോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്നിന്റെ വടി എടുത്തിട്ടു മിസ്രയീമിലെ വെള്ളത്തിന്മേല്, അവരുടെ നദി, പുഴ, കുളം എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവരുടെ സകലജലാശയങ്ങളുടെ മേലും കൈ നീട്ടുക; അവ രക്തമായ്തീരും; മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും മരപ്പാത്രങ്ങളിലും കല്പാത്രങ്ങളിലും രക്തം ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

19. And the LORD said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their streams, and over their pools, and over all their ponds of water, that they may become blood; and there shall be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.

20. മോശെയും അഹരോനും യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു. അവന് ഫറവോന്റെയും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ വടി ഔങ്ങി നദിയിലുള്ള വെള്ളത്തില് അടിച്ചു; നദിയിലുള്ള വെള്ളം ഒക്കെയും രക്തമായ്തീര്ന്നു.

20. And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.

21. നദിയിലെ മത്സ്യം ചാകയും നദി നാറുകയും ചെയ്തു. നദിയിലെ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പാന് മിസ്രയീമ്യര്ക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും രക്തം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

21. And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink water from the river; and the blood was throughout all the land of Egypt.

22. മിസ്രയീമ്യമന്ത്രവാദികളും തങ്ങളുടെ മന്ത്രവാദത്താല് അതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു; എന്നാല് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുപോലെ ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനപ്പെട്ടു; അവന് അവരെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചതുമില്ല.

22. And the magicians of Egypt did in like manner with their enchantments: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken.

23. ഫറവോന് തിരിഞ്ഞു തന്റെ അരമനയിലേക്കു പോയി; ഇതും അവന് ഗണ്യമാക്കിയില്ല.

23. And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he lay even this to heart.

24. നദിയിലെ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പാന് കഴിവില്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു മിസ്രയീമ്യര് എല്ലാവരും കുടിപ്പാന് വെള്ളത്തിന്നായി നദിയരികെ ഒക്കെയും ഔലി കുഴിച്ചു.

24. And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.
