1. ഹൃദയത്തിലെ നിരൂപണങ്ങള് മനുഷ്യന്നുള്ളവ; നാവിന്റെ ഉത്തരമോ യഹോവയാല് വരുന്നു.

1. The preparations of the heart are in man: but the answere of the tongue is of the Lord.

2. മനുഷ്യന്നു തന്റെ വഴികളൊക്കെയും വെടിപ്പായി തോന്നുന്നു; യഹോവയോ ആത്മാക്കളെ തൂക്കിനോക്കുന്നു.

2. All the wayes of a man are cleane in his owne eyes: but the Lord pondereth the spirits.

3. നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ യഹോവേക്കു സമര്പ്പിക്ക; എന്നാല് നിന്റെ ഉദ്ദേശങ്ങള് സാധിക്കും.

3. Commit thy workes vnto the Lord, and thy thoughts shalbe directed.

4. യഹോവ സകലത്തെയും തന്റെ ഉദ്ദേശത്തിന്നായി ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അനര്ത്ഥദിവസത്തിന്നായി ദുഷ്ടനെയും കൂടെ.

4. The Lord hath made all things for his owne sake: yea, euen the wicked for the day of euill.

5. ഗര്വ്വമുള്ള ഏവനും യഹോവേക്കു വെറുപ്പു; അവന്നു ശിക്ഷ വരാതിരിക്കയില്ല എന്നതിന്നു ഞാന് കയ്യടിക്കുന്നു.

5. All that are proude in heart, are an abomination to the Lord: though hand ioyne in hand, he shall not be vnpunished.

6. ദയയും വിശ്വസ്തതയുംകൊണ്ടു അകൃത്യം പരിഹരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; യഹോവാഭക്തികൊണ്ടു മനുഷ്യര് ദോഷത്തെ വിട്ടകലുന്നു.

6. By mercy and trueth iniquitie shalbe forgiuen, and by the feare of the Lord they depart from euill.

7. ഒരുത്തന്റെ വഴികള് യഹോവേക്കു ഇഷ്ടമായിരിക്കുമ്പോള് അവന് അവന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെയും അവനോടു ഇണക്കുന്നു.

7. When the wayes of a man please the Lord, he will make also his enemies at peace with him.

8. ന്യായരഹിതമായ വലിയ വരവിനെക്കാള് നീതിയോടെയുള്ള അല്പം നല്ലതു.

8. Better is a litle with righteousnesse, then great reuenues without equitie.

9. മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഹൃദയം തന്റെ വഴിയെ നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ കാലടികളെയോ യഹോവ ക്രമപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.

9. The heart of man purposeth his way: but the Lord doeth direct his steppes.

10. രാജാവിന്റെ അധരങ്ങളില് അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടു; ന്യായവിധിയില് അവന്റെ വായ് പിഴെക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

10. A diuine sentence shalbe in the lips of the King: his mouth shall not transgresse in iudgement.

11. ഒത്ത വെള്ളിക്കോലും ത്രാസും യഹോവേക്കുള്ളവ; സഞ്ചിയിലെ പടി ഒക്കെയും അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയാകുന്നു.

11. A true weight and balance are of the Lord: all the weightes of the bagge are his worke.

12. ദുഷ്ടത പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നതു രാജാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും വെറുപ്പു; നീതികൊണ്ടല്ലോ സിംഹാസനം സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുന്നതു.

12. It is an abomination to Kings to commit wickednes: for the throne is stablished by iustice.

13. നീതിയുള്ള അധരങ്ങള് രാജാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും പ്രസാദം; നേര് പറയുന്നവനെ അവര് സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

13. Righteous lips are the delite of Kings, and the King loueth him that speaketh right things.

14. രാജാവിന്റെ ക്രോധം മരണദൂതന്നു തുല്യം; ജ്ഞാനമുള്ള മനുഷ്യനോ അതിനെ ശമിപ്പിക്കും.

14. The wrath of a King is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacifie it.

15. രാജാവിന്റെ മുഖപ്രകാശത്തില് ജീവന് ഉണ്ടു; അവന്റെ പ്രസാദം പിന്മഴെക്കുള്ള മേഘം പോലെയാകുന്നു.

15. In the light of the Kings coutenance is life: and his fauour is as a cloude of the latter raine.

16. തങ്കത്തെക്കാള് ജ്ഞാനത്തെ സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നതു എത്ര നല്ലതു! വെള്ളിയെക്കാള് വിവേകം സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നതു എത്ര ഉത്തമം!

16. Howe much better is it to get wisedome then golde? and to get vnderstanding, is more to be desired then siluer.

17. ദോഷം അകറ്റിനടക്കുന്നതു നേരുള്ളവരുടെ പെരുവഴി; തന്റെ വഴി സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നവന് തന്റെ പ്രാണനെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളുന്നു.

17. The pathe of the righteous is to decline from euil, and hee keepeth his soule, that keepeth his way.

18. നാശത്തിന്നു മുമ്പെ ഗര്വ്വം; വീഴ്ചകൂ മുമ്പെ ഉന്നതഭാവം.

18. Pride goeth before destruction, and an high minde before the fall.

19. ഗര്വ്വികളോടുകൂടെ കവര്ച്ച പങ്കിടുന്നതിനെക്കാള് താഴ്മയുള്ളവരോടുകൂടെ താഴ്മയുള്ളവനായിരിക്കുന്നതു നല്ലതു.

19. Better it is to be of humble minde with the lowly, then to deuide the spoyles with the proude.

20. തിരുവചനം പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവന് നന്മ കണ്ടെത്തും; യഹോവയില് ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവന് ഭാഗ്യവാന് .

20. He that is wise in his busines, shall finde good: and he that trusteth in the Lord, he is blessed.

21. ജ്ഞാനഹൃദയന് വിവേകി എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടും; അധരമാധുര്യം വിദ്യയെ വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

21. The wise in heart shall bee called prudent: and the sweetenesse of the lippes shall increase doctrine.

22. വിവേകം വിവേകിക്കു ജീവന്റെ ഉറവാകുന്നു. ഭോഷന്മാരുടെ പ്രബോധനമോ ഭോഷത്വം തന്നേ.

22. Vnderstading is welspring of life vnto them that haue it: and the instruction of fooles is folly.

23. ജ്ഞാനിയുടെ ഹൃദയം അവന്റെ വായെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ അധരങ്ങള്ക്കു വിദ്യ വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

23. The heart of the wise guideth his mouth wisely, and addeth doctrine to his lippes.

24. ഇമ്പമുള്ള വാക്കു തേന് കട്ടയാകുന്നു; മനസ്സിന്നു മധുരവും അസ്ഥികള്ക്കു ഔഷധവും തന്നേ;

24. Faire wordes are as an hony combe, sweetenesse to the soule, and health to the bones.

25. ചിലപ്പോള് ഒരു വഴി മനുഷ്യന്നു ചൊവ്വായി തോന്നുന്നു. അതിന്റെ അവസാനമോ മരണവഴികള് അത്രേ.

25. There is a way that seemeth right vnto man: but the issue thereof are the wayes of death.

26. പണിക്കാരന്റെ വിശപ്പു അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു പണി ചെയ്യിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ വായ് അവനെ അതിന്നായി നിര്ബ്ബന്ധിക്കുന്നു.

26. The person that traueileth, traueileth for himselfe: for his mouth craueth it of him.

27. നിസ്സാരമനുഷ്യന് പാതകം എന്ന കുഴികുഴിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ അധരങ്ങളില് കത്തുന്ന തീ ഉണ്ടു.

27. A wicked man diggeth vp euill, and in his lippes is like burning fire.

28. വക്രതയുള്ള മനുഷ്യന് വഴക്കു ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; ഏഷണിക്കാരന് മിത്രങ്ങളെ ഭേദിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

28. A frowarde person soweth strife: and a tale teller maketh diuision among princes.

29. സഹാസക്കാരന് കൂട്ടുകാരനെ വശീകരിക്കയും കൊള്ളരുതാത്ത വഴിയില് നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

29. A wicked man deceiueth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good.

30. കണ്ണു അടെക്കുന്നവന് വക്രത നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു; വപ്പു കടിക്കുന്നവന് ദോഷം നിവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു.

30. He shutteth his eyes to deuise wickednes: he moueth his lippes, and bringeth euil to passe.

31. നരച്ച തല ശോഭയുള്ള കിരീടമാകുന്നു; നീതിയുടെ മാര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് അതിനെ പ്രാപിക്കാം.

31. Age is a crowne of glory, when it is founde in the way of righteousnes.

32. ദീര്ഘക്ഷമയുള്ളവന് യുദ്ധവീരനിലും ജിതമാനസന് പട്ടണം പിടിക്കുന്നവനിലും ശ്രേഷ്ഠന് .

32. He that is slowe vnto anger, is better then the mightie man: and hee that ruleth his owne minde, is better then he that winneth a citie.

33. ചീട്ടു മടിയില് ഇടുന്നു; അതിന്റെ വിധാനമോ യഹോവയാലത്രേ.

33. The lot is cast into the lap: but the whole disposition thereof is of the Lord.
