1. നെബൂഖദ് നേസരിന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ രണ്ടാം ആണ്ടില് നെബൂഖദ് നേസര് സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു; അവന്റെ മനസ്സു വ്യാകുലപ്പെട്ടു; അവന്നു ഉറക്കമില്ലാതെയായി.

1. And in the seconde yeere of the raygne of Nebuchad-nezzar, Nebuchad-nezzar dreamed dreames wherewith his spirite was troubled, and his sleepe was vpon him.

2. രാജാവിനോടു സ്വപ്നം അറിയിപ്പാന് മന്ത്രവാദികളെയും ആഭിചാരകന്മാരെയും ക്ഷുദ്രക്കാരെയും കല്ദയരെയും വിളിപ്പാന് രാജാവു കല്പിച്ചു; അവര് വന്നു രാജസന്നിധിയില് നിന്നു.

2. Then the King commanded to call the inchanters, and the astrologians and the sorcerers, and the Caldeans for to shewe the King his dreames: so they came and stoode before the King.

3. രാജാവു അവരോടുഞാന് ഒരു സ്വപ്നംകണ്ടു; സ്വപ്നം ഔര്ക്കാഞ്ഞിട്ടു എന്റെ മനസ്സു വ്യാകുലപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

3. And the King sayde vnto them, I haue dreamed a dreame, and my spirite was troubled to knowe the dreame.

4. അതിന്നു കല്ദയര് അരാമ്യഭാഷയില് രാജാവിനോടുരാജാവു ദീര്ഘായുസ്സായിരിക്കട്ടെ; സ്വപ്നം അടിയങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചാലും; അര്ത്ഥം ബോധിപ്പിക്കാം എന്നുണര്ത്തിച്ചു.

4. Then spake the Caldeans to the King in the Aramites language, O King, liue for euer: shewe thy seruants thy dreame, and wee shall shewe the interpretation.

5. രാജാവു കല്ദയരോടു ഉത്തരം അരുളിയതുവിധി കല്പിച്ചു പോയി; സ്വപ്നവും അര്ത്ഥവും അറിയിക്കാഞ്ഞാല് നിങ്ങളെ കഷണംകഷണമായി ശകലിക്കയും വീടുകളെ കുപ്പക്കുന്നാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും,

5. And the King answered and sayd to the Caldeans, The thing is gone from me. If ye will not make me vnderstande the dreame with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be drawen in pieces, and your houses shall be made a iakes.

6. സ്വപ്നവും അര്ത്ഥവും അറിയിച്ചാലോ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സമ്മാനവും പ്രതിഫലവും ബഹുമാനവും ലഭിക്കും; അതുകൊണ്ടു സ്വപ്നവും അര്ത്ഥവും അറിയിപ്പിന് .

6. But if yee declare the dreame and the interpretation thereof, ye shall receyue of me gifts and rewardes, and great honour: therefore shewe me the dreame and the interpretation of it.

7. അവര് പിന്നെയുംരാജാവു സ്വപ്നം അടിയങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചാലും; അര്ത്ഥം ബോധിപ്പിക്കാം എന്നു ഉണര്ത്തിച്ചു.

7. They answered againe, and sayde, Let the King shewe his seruantes the dreame, and wee will declare the interpretation thereof.

8. അതിന്നു രാജാവു മറുപടി കല്പിച്ചതുവിധികല്പിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു കണ്ടിട്ടു നിങ്ങള് കാലതാമസം വരുത്തുവാന് നോക്കുന്നു എന്നു എനിക്കു മനസ്സിലായി.

8. Then the King answered, and sayd, I knowe certeinly that ye would gaine the time, because ye see the thing is gone from me.

9. നിങ്ങള് സ്വപ്നം അറിയിക്കാഞ്ഞാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒരു വിധി മാത്രമേയുള്ളു; സമയം മാറുവോളം എന്റെ മുമ്പില് വ്യാജവും പൊളിവാക്കും പറവാന് നിങ്ങള് യോജിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; സ്വപ്നം പറവിന് ; എന്നാല് അര്ത്ഥവും അറിയിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കഴിയും എന്നു എനിക്കു ബോധ്യമാകും.

9. But if ye will not declare mee the dreame, there is but one iudgement for you: for ye haue prepared lying and corrupt wordes, to speake before me till the time bee changed: therefore tell me the dreame, that I may knowe, if yee can declare me the interpretation thereof.

10. കല്ദയര് രാജസന്നിധിയില് ഉത്തരം ബോധിപ്പിച്ചതുരാജാവിന്റെ കാര്യം അറിയിപ്പാന് കഴിയുന്ന ഒരു മനുഷ്യനും ഭൂമിയില് ഇല്ല; എത്രയും മഹാനും ബലവാനുമായ ഏതൊരു രാജാവും ഇങ്ങിനെയുള്ള കാര്യം ഒരു മന്ത്രവാദിയോടോ ആഭിചാരകനോടോ കല്ദയനോടോ ഒരിക്കലും ചോദിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.

10. Then the Caldeans answered before the King, and sayde, There is no man vpon earth that can declare the Kings matter: yea, there is neither king nor prince nor lorde that asked such things at an inchanter or astrologian or Caldean.

11. രാജാവു ചോദിക്കുന്ന കാര്യം പ്രയാസമുള്ളതാകുന്നു; തിരുമുമ്പില് അതു അറിയിപ്പാന് ജഡവാസമില്ലാത്ത ദേവന്മാര്ക്കല്ലാതെ മറ്റാര്ക്കും കഴികയില്ല.

11. For it is a rare thing that the King requireth, and there is none other that can declare it before the King, except the gods whose dwelling is not with flesh.

12. ഇതു ഹേതുവായിട്ടു രാജാവു കോപിച്ചു അത്യന്തം ക്രുദ്ധിച്ചു ബാബേലിലെ സകല വിദ്വാന്മരെയും നശിപ്പിപ്പാന് കല്പന കൊടുത്തു .

12. For this cause the king was angrie and in great furie, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babel.

13. അങ്ങനെ വിദ്വാന്മാരെ കൊല്ലുവാനുള്ള തീര്പ്പു പുറപ്പെട്ടു; അവര് ദാനീയേലിനെയും കൂട്ടുകാരനെയും കൂടെ കൊല്ലുവാന് അന്വേഷിച്ചു.

13. And when sentence was giuen, the wise men were slayne: and they sought Daniel and his fellowes to be put to death.

14. എന്നാല് രാജാവിന്റെ അകമ്പടിനായകനായി ബാബേലിലെ വിദ്വാന്മാരെ കൊന്നുകളവാന് പുറപ്പെട്ടു അര്യ്യോക്കിനോടു ദാനീയേല് ബുദ്ധിയോടും വിവേകത്തോടും കൂടെ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

14. Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisedome to Arioch the Kings chiefe stewarde, which was gone foorth to put to death the wise men of Babel.

15. രാജ സന്നിധിയില്നിന്നു ഇത്ര കഠിനകല്പന പുറപ്പെടുവാന് സംഗതി എന്തു എന്നു അവന് രാജാവിന്റെ സേനാപതിയായ അര്യ്യോക്കിനോടു ചോദിച്ചു; അര്യ്യോക് ദാനീയേലിനോടു കാര്യം അറിയിച്ചു;

15. Yea, he answered and sayde vnto Arioch the kings captaine, Why is the sentence so hastie from the king? Then Arioch declared the thing to Daniel.

16. ദാനീയേല് അകത്തു ചെന്നു രാജാവിനോടു തനിക്കു സമയം തരേണം എന്നും താന് രാജാവിനോടു അര്ത്ഥം അറിയിക്കാമെന്നും ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.

16. So Daniel went and desired the king that he woulde giue him leasure and that he woulde shewe the king the interpretation thereof.

17. പിന്നെ ദാനീയേല് വീട്ടില് ചെന്നു, താനും കൂട്ടുകാരും ബാബേലിലെ ശേഷം വിദ്വാന്മാരോടുകൂടെ നശിച്ചുപോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു

17. The Daniel went to his house and shewed the matter to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah his companions,

18. ഈ രഹസ്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കരുണ അപേക്ഷിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം കൂട്ടുകാരനായ ഹനന്യാവോടും മീശായേലിനോടും അസര്യ്യാവോടും കാര്യം അറിയിച്ചു.

18. That they should beseech the God of heauen for grace in this secrete, that Daniel and his fellowes should not perish with the rest of ye wise men of Babel.

19. അങ്ങനെ ആ രഹസ്യം ദാനീയേലിന്നു രാത്രിദര്ശനത്തില് വെളിപ്പെട്ടു; ദാനീയേല് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞതു

19. Then was the secret reueiled vnto Daniel in a vision by night: therefore Daniel praysed the God of heauen.

20. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നാമം എന്നും എന്നേക്കും സ്തുതിക്കപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ; ജ്ഞാനവും ബലവും അവന്നുള്ളതല്ലോ.

20. And Daniel answered and sayde, The Name of God be praysed for euer and euer: for wisedome and strength are his,

22. അവന് അഗാധവും ഗൂഢവുമായതു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു; അവന് ഇരുട്ടില് ഉള്ളതു അറിയുന്നു; വെളിച്ചം അവനോടുകൂടെ വസിക്കുന്നു.

22. Hee discouereth the deepe and secrete things: he knoweth what is in darkenes, and the light dwelleth with him.

23. എന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായുള്ളോവേ, നീ എനിക്കു ജ്ഞാനവും ബലവും തന്നു, ഞങ്ങള് നിന്നോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചതു ഇപ്പോള് എന്നെ അറിയിച്ചു രാജാവിന്റെ കാര്യം ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിത്തന്നിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിന്നെ വാഴ്ത്തി സ്തുതിക്കുന്നു.

23. I thanke thee and prayse thee, O thou God of my fathers, that thou hast giuen mee wisedome and strength, and hast shewed me nowe the thing that wee desired of thee: for thou hast declared vnto vs the kings matter.

24. അതുകൊണ്ടു ദാനീയേല്, ബാബേലിലെ വിദ്വാന്മാരെ നിശിപ്പിപ്പാന് രാജാവു നിയോഗിച്ചിരുന്ന അര്യ്യോക്കിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു അവനോടുബാബേലിലെ വിദ്വാന്മാരെ നശിപ്പിക്കരുതു; എന്നെ രാജസന്നിധിയില് കൊണ്ടുപോകേണം; ഞാന് രാജാവിനെ അര്ത്ഥം ബോധിപ്പിക്കാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. Therefore Daniel went vnto Arioch, whome the King had ordeyned to destroy the wise men of Babel: he went and sayde thus vnto him, Destroy not the wise men of Babel, but bring me before the King, and I will declare vnto the King the interpretation.

25. അര്യ്യോക് ദാനീയേലിനെ വേഗം രാജസന്നിധിയില് കൊണ്ടുചെന്നുരാജാവിനെ അര്ത്ഥം ബോധിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യെഹൂദാപ്രവാസികളില് ഒരുത്തനെ ഞാന് കണ്ടെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉണര്ത്തിച്ചു.

25. Then Arioch brought Daniel before the King in all haste, and sayd thus vnto him, I haue found a man of the children of Iudah that were brought captiues, that will declare vnto the King the interpretation.

26. ബേല്ത്ത് ശസ്സര് എന്നും പേരുള്ള ദാനീയേലിനോടു രാജാവുഞാന് കണ്ട സ്വപ്നവും അര്ത്ഥവും അറിയിപ്പാന് നിനക്കു കഴിയുമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

26. Then answered the King, and sayde vnto Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, Art thou able to shew me the dreame, which I haue seene, and the interpretation thereof?

27. ദാനീയേല് രാജസാന്നിധിയില് ഉത്തരം ബോധിപ്പിച്ചതുരാജാവു ചോദിച്ച ഗുപ്തകാര്യം വിദ്വാന്മാര്ക്കും ആഭിചാരകന്മാര്ക്കും മന്ത്രവാദികള്ക്കും ശകുനവാദികള്ക്കും രാജാവിനെ അറിയിപ്പാന് കഴിയുന്നതല്ല.

27. Daniel answered in the presence of the King, and sayd, The secret which the King hath demanded, can neither the wise, the astrologians, the inchanters, nor the southsayers declare vnto the King.

28. എങ്കിലും രഹസ്യങ്ങളെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന ഒരു ദൈവം സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് ഉണ്ടു; അവന് ഭാവികാലത്തു സംഭവിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്നതു നെബൂഖദ്നേസര് രാജാവിനെ അറിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. സ്വപ്നവും പള്ളിമെത്തയില്വെച്ചു തിരുമനസ്സില് ഉണ്ടായ ദര്ശനങ്ങളും ആവിതു
മത്തായി 24:6, മർക്കൊസ് 13:7, ലൂക്കോസ് 21:9, വെളിപ്പാടു വെളിപാട് 1:1, വെളിപ്പാടു വെളിപാട് 22:6

28. But there is a God in heauen that reueileth secrets, and sheweth the King Nebuchad-nezzar what shall bee in the latter dayes. Thy dreame, and the things which thou hast seene in thine heade vpon thy bed, is this.

29. രാജാവേ, ഇനിമേല് സംഭവിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തെന്നുള്ള വിചാരം പള്ളിമെത്തയില്വെച്ചു തിരുമനസ്സില് ഉണ്ടായി; രഹസ്യങ്ങളെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നവന് സംഭവിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്നതു അറിയിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

29. O King, when thou wast in thy bedde, thoughts came into thy mind, what should come to passe hereafter, and he that reueyleth secretes, telleth thee, what shall come.

30. എനിക്കോ ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്ന യാതൊരുത്തനെക്കാളും അധികമായ ജ്ഞാനം ഒന്നും ഉണ്ടായിട്ടല്ല, രാജാവിനോടു അര്ത്ഥം ബോധിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും തിരുമനസ്സിലെ വിചാരം തിരുമനസ്സുകൊണ്ടു അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നും അത്രേ ഈ രഹസ്യം എനിക്കു വെളിപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതു.

30. As for me, this secret is not shewed mee for any wisedome that I haue, more then any other liuing, but onely to shewe the King the interpretation, and that thou mightest knowe the thoughts of thine heart.

31. രാജാവു കണ്ട ദര്ശനമോവലിയൊരു ബിംബം; വലിപ്പമേറിയതും വിശഷശോഭ യുള്ളതുമായ ആ ബിംബം തിരുമുമ്പില് നിന്നു; അതിന്റെ രൂപം ഭയങ്കരമായിരുന്നു.

31. O King, thou sawest, and beholde, there was a great image: this great image whose glory was so excellent, stood before thee, and the forme thereof was terrible.

32. ബിംബത്തിന്റെ തല തങ്കംകൊണ്ടും നെഞ്ചും കയ്യും വെള്ളികൊണ്ടും വയറും അരയും താമ്രംകൊണ്ടും തുട ഇരിമ്പു കൊണ്ടു

32. This images head was of fine golde, his breast and his armes of siluer, his bellie and his thighs of brasse,

33. കാല് പാതി ഇരിമ്പുകൊണ്ടും പാതി കളിമണ്ണുകൊണ്ടും ആയയിരുന്നു.

33. His legges of yron, and his feete were part of yron, and part of clay.

34. തിരുമനസ്സുകൊണ്ടു നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള് കൈ തൊടാതെ ഒരു കല്ലു പറിഞ്ഞുവന്നു ബിംബത്തെ ഇരിമ്പും കളിമണ്ണുംകൊണ്ടുള്ള കാലില് അടിച്ചു തകര്ത്തുകളഞ്ഞു.

34. Thou beheldest it til a stone was cut without hands, which smote the image vpon his feete, that were of yron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

35. ഇരിമ്പും കളിമണ്ണും താമ്രവും വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നും ഒരുപോലെ തകര്ന്നു വേനല്ക്കാലത്തു കളത്തിലെ പതിര്പോലെ ആയിത്തീര്ന്നു; ഒരിടത്തും തങ്ങാതവണ്ണം കാറ്റു അവയെ പറപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി; ബിംബത്തെ അടിച്ച കല്ലു ഒരു മഹാപര്വ്വതമായിത്തീര്ന്നു ഭൂമിയില് ഒക്കെയും നിറഞ്ഞു.

35. Then was the yron, the clay, the brasse, the siluer and the golde broken all together, and became like the chaffe of the sommer floures, and the winde caryed them away, that no place was founde for them: and the stone that smote the image, became a great mountaine, and filled the whole earth.

36. ഇതത്രേ സ്വപ്നം; അര്ത്ഥവും അടിയങ്ങള് തിരുമനസ്സു അറിയിക്കാം.

36. This is the dreame, and we will declare before the King the interpretation thereof.

37. രാജാവേ, തിരുമനസ്സുകൊണ്ടു രാജാധിരാജാവാകുന്നു; സ്വര്ഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ ദൈവം തിരുമനസ്സിലേക്കു രാജത്വവും ഐശ്വര്യവും ശക്തിയും മഹത്വവും നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

37. O King, thou art a king of Kings: for the God of heauen hath giuen thee a kingdome, power, and strength, and glorie.

38. മനുഷ്യര് പാര്ക്കുംന്നേടത്തൊക്കെയും അവരെയും കാട്ടിലെ മൃഗങ്ങളെയും ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികളെയും അവന് തൃക്കയ്യില് തന്നു, എല്ലാറ്റിന്നും തിരുമനസ്സിലെ അധിപതി ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടുള്ള തല തിരുമനസ്സുകൊണ്ടു തന്നേ.

38. And in all places where the children of men dwell, the beasts of the fielde, and the foules of the heauen hath he giuen into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler ouer them al: thou art this heade of golde.

39. തിരുമനസ്സിലെ ശേഷം തിരുമേനിയെക്കാള് താണതായ മറ്റൊരു രാജത്വവും സര്വ്വഭൂമിയിലും വാഴുവാനിരിക്കുന്നതായി താമ്രംകൊണ്ടുള്ള മൂന്നാമതൊരു രാജത്വവും ഉത്ഭവിക്കും.

39. And after thee shall rise another kingdome, inferiour to thee, of siluer, and another third kingdome shalbe of brasse, which shall beare rule ouer all the earth.

40. നാലാമത്തെ രാജത്വം ഇരിമ്പുപോലെ ബലമുള്ളതായിരിക്കും; ഇരിമ്പു സകലത്തെയും തകര്ത്തു കീഴടക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ. തകര്ക്കുംന്ന ഇരിമ്പുപോലെ അതു അവയെ ഒക്കെയും ഇടിച്ചു തകര്ത്തുകളയും.

40. And the fourth kingdome shall be strong as yron: for as yron breaketh in pieces, and subdueth all things, and as yron bruiseth all these things, so shall it breake in pieces, and bruise all.

41. കാലും കാല് വിരലും പാതി കളിമണ്ണും പാതി ഇരുമ്പുംകൊണ്ടുള്ളതായി കണ്ടതിന്റെ താല്പര്യമോഅതു ഒരു ഭിന്നരാജത്വം ആയിരിക്കും; എങ്കിലും ഇരിമ്പും കളിമണ്ണും ഇടകലര്ന്നതായി കണ്ടതുപോലെ അതില് ഇരിമ്പിന്നുള്ള ബലം കുറെ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും.

41. Where as thou sawest the feete and toes, parte of potters clay, and part of yron: the kingdome shalbe deuided, but there shalbe in it of the strength of the yron, as thou sawest the yron mixt with the clay, and earth.

42. കാല്വിരല് പാതി ഇരിമ്പും പാതി കളിമണ്ണുംകൊണ്ടു ആയിരുന്നതുപോലെ രാജത്വം ഒട്ടു ബലമുള്ളതും ഒട്ടു ഉടഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നതും ആയിരിക്കും.

42. And as the toes of the feete were parte of yron, and parte of clay, so shall the kingdome be partly strong, and partly broken.

43. ഇരിമ്പും കളിമണ്ണും ഇടകലര്ന്നതായി കണ്ടതിന്റെ താല്പര്യമോഅവര് മനുഷ്യബീജത്താല് തമ്മില് ഇടകലരുമെങ്കിലും ഇരിമ്പും കളിമണ്ണും തമ്മില് ചേരാതിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവര് തമ്മില് ചേരുകയില്ല.

43. And where as thou sawest yron mixt with clay and earth, they shall mingle themselues with the seede of men: but they shall not ioyne one with another, as yron can not bee mixed with clay.

44. ഈ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ കാലത്തു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ ദൈവം ഒരുനാളും നശിച്ചുപോകാത്ത ഒരു രാജത്വം സ്ഥാപിക്കും; ആ രാജത്വം വേറെ ഒരു ജാതിക്കു ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുകയില്ല; അതു ഈ രാജത്വങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും തകര്ത്തു നശിപ്പിക്കയും എന്നേക്കും നിലനില്ക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

44. And in the dayes of these Kings, shall the God of heauen set vp a kingdome, which shall neuer be destroyed: and this kingdome shall not be giuen to another people, but it shall breake, and destroy al these kingdomes, and it shall stand for euer.

45. കൈ തൊടാതെ ഒരു കല്ലു പര്വ്വതത്തില്നിന്നു പറിഞ്ഞുവന്നു ഇരിമ്പും താമ്രവും കളിമണ്ണും വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നും തകര്ത്തുകളഞ്ഞതായി കണ്ടതിന്റെ താല്പര്യമോമഹാദൈവം മേലാല് സംഭവിപ്പാനുള്ളതു രാജാവിനെ അറിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; സ്വപ്നം നിശ്ചയവും അര്ത്ഥം സത്യവും ആകുന്നു.

Where as thou sawest, that the stone was cut of the mountaine without handes, and that it brake in pieces the yron, the brasse, the clay, the siluer, and the golde: so the great God hath shewed the King, what shall come to passe hereafter, and the dreame is true, and the interpretation thereof is sure.

46. അപ്പോള് നെബൂഖദ്നേസര്രാജാവു സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു ദാനീയേലിനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു, അവന്നു ഒരു വഴിപാടും സൌരഭ്യവാസനയും അര്പ്പിക്കേണമെന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. രാജാവു ദാനീയേലിനോടു

46. Then the King Nebuchad-nezzar fell vpon his face, and bowed himselfe vnto Daniel, and commanded that they should offer meate offrings, and sweete odours vnto him.

47. നീ ഈ രഹസ്യം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുവാന് പ്രാപ്തനായതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവം ദൈവാധി ദൈവവും രാജാധികര്ത്താവും രഹസ്യങ്ങളെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നവനും ആകുന്നു സത്യം എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

47. Also the King answered vnto Daniel, and said, I know of a trueth that your God is a God of gods, and the Lord of Kings, and the reueiler of secrets, seeing thou couldest open this secret.

48. രാജാവു ദാനീയേലിനെ മഹാനാക്കി, അവന്നു അനേകം വലിയ സമ്മാനങ്ങളും കൊടുത്തു, അവനെ ബാബേല്സംസ്ഥാനത്തിന്നൊക്കെയും അധിപതിയും ബാബേലിലെ സകലവിദ്വാന്മാര്ക്കും പ്രധാനവിചാരകനും ആക്കിവെച്ചു.

48. So the King made Daniel a great man, and gaue him many and great giftes. Hee made him gouernour ouer the whole prouince of Babel, and chiefe of the rulers, and aboue all the wise men of Babel.

49. ദാനീയേലിന്റെ അപേക്ഷപ്രകാരം രാജാവു ശദ്രക്കിനെയും മേശക്കിനെയും അബേദ്നെഗോവെയും ബാബേല് സംസ്ഥാനത്തിലെ കാര്യാദികള്ക്കു മേല്വിചാരകരാക്കി; ദാനീയേലോ രാജാവിന്റെ കോവിലകത്തു പാര്ത്തു.

49. Then Daniel made request to the King, and hee set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego ouer the charge of the prouince of Babel: but Daniel sate in the gate of the King.
