1. അനന്തരം അവന് എനിക്കു മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ യോശുവ, യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിലക്കുന്നതും സാത്താന് അവനെ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തുവാന് അവന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു നിലക്കുന്നതും കാണിച്ചുതന്നു.

1. And he shewed me Iosua the hie priest standing before the angell of the Lord, and Satan stoode at his right hande to resist him.

2. യഹോവ സാത്താനോടുസാത്താനേ, യഹോവ നിന്നെ ഭര്ത്സിക്കുന്നു; യെരൂശലേമിനെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ തന്നേ നിന്നെ ഭര്ത്സിക്കുന്നു; ഇവന് തീയില്നിന്നു വലിച്ചെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട കൊള്ളിയല്ലയോ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

2. And the Lorde saide vnto Satan: The Lorde reproue thee thou Satan, yea the Lorde that hath chosen Hierusalem reproue thee: Is not this a brand taken out of the fire?

3. എന്നാല് യോശുവ മുഷിഞ്ഞ വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു ദൂതന്റെ മുമ്പില് നില്ക്കയായിരുന്നു.

3. Now Iosua was clothed in vncleane rayment, and stoode before the angel.

4. അവന് തന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിലക്കുന്നവരോടുമുഷിഞ്ഞ വസ്ത്രം അവങ്കല്നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളവിന് എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു; പിന്നെ അവനോടുഞാന് നിന്റെ അകൃത്യം നിന്നില്നിന്നു പോക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്നെ ഉത്സവവസ്ത്രം ധരിപ്പിക്കും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

4. And he aunswered & saide vnto those that stoode before him, Take away the foule clothes fro him. And vnto him he saide: Beholde, I haue taken away thy sinne from thee, and I wyll clothe thee with chaunge of rayment.

5. അവന്റെ തലയില് വെടിപ്പുള്ളോരു മുടി വെക്കട്ടെ എന്നു അവന് കല്പിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ അവര് അവന്റെ തലയില് വെടിപ്പുള്ളോരു മുടി വെച്ചു. അവനെ വസ്ത്രം ധരിപ്പിച്ചു യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതനോ അടുക്കെ നില്ക്കയായിരുന്നു.

5. And I saide, Let them set a fayre miter vpon his head: So they set a fayre miter vpon his head, & put on clothes vpon him, and the angell of the Lorde stoode there.

6. യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതന് യോശുവയോടു സാക്ഷീകരിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാല്

6. Then the angell of the Lorde testified vnto Iosua, and spake,

7. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനീ എന്റെ വഴികളില് നടക്കയും എന്റെ കാര്യം നോക്കുകയും ചെയ്താല് നീ എന്റെ ആലയത്തെ പരിപാലിക്കയും എന്റെ പ്രാകാരങ്ങളെ സൂക്ഷിക്കയും ഞാന് നിനക്കു ഈ നിലക്കുന്നവരുടെ ഇടയില് ആഗമനം അനുവദിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

7. Thus saith the Lorde of hoastes: If thou wylt walke in my wayes, & keepe my watch, thou shalt iudge my house, & kepe my courtes, and I wyll geue thee place among these that stande here.

8. മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ യോശുവേ, നീയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഇരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരും കേട്ടുകൊള്വിന് ! അവര് അത്ഭുതലക്ഷണപുരുഷന്മാരല്ലോ; ഞാന് എന്റെ ദാസനായ മുള എന്നവനെ വരുത്തും.

8. Heare O Iosua thou hie priest, thou & thy felowes that sit before thee, for they are monstruous persons: behold, I wyl bring foorth the braunche my seruaunt.

9. ഞാന് യോശുവയുടെ മുമ്പില് വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന കല്ലുണ്ടല്ലോ; ഒരേ കല്ലിന്മേല് ഏഴു കണ്ണും ഉണ്ടു; ഞാന് അതിന്റെ കൊത്തുപണി കൊത്തും; ഒരു ദിവസത്തില് ഞാന് ദേശത്തിന്റെ അകൃത്യം പോക്കും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

9. For lo, the stone that I haue layde before Iosua, vpon one stone shalbe seuen eyes: beholde, I wyll cut out the grauing therof, saith the Lorde of hoastes, and I wyll take away the sinne of the lande in one day.

10. അന്നാളില് നിങ്ങള് ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനെ മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയുടെ കീഴിലേക്കും അത്തിവൃക്ഷത്തിന് കീഴിലേക്കും ക്ഷണിക്കും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

10. In that day shall euery man call his neighbour vnder the vine, and vnder the figtree, saith the Lorde of hoastes.
