9. ഉസ്സീയാവു യോഥാമിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; യോഥാം ആഹാസിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ആഹാസ് ഹിസ്കീയാവെ ജനിപ്പീച്ചു;

9. Osias begat Ioatham: Ioatham begat Achas: Achas begat Ezechias:

10. ഹിസ്കീയാവു മനശ്ശെയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; മനശ്ശെ ആമോസിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ആമോസ് യോശിയാവെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

10. Ezechias begat Manasses: Manasses begat Amon: Amon begat Iosias:

11. യോശിയാവു യെഖൊന്യാവെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെയും ബാബേല്പ്രവാസകാലത്തു ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

13. Zorobabel begat Abiud: Abiud begat Eliachim: Eliachim begat Azor:

14. ആസോര് സാദോക്കിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; സാദോക്ക് ആഖീമിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ആഖീം എലീഹൂദിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

14. Azor begat Sadoc: Sadoc begat Achin: Achin begat Eliud:

15. എലീഹൂദ് എലീയാസരെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; എലീയാസര് മത്ഥാനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; മത്ഥാന് യാക്കോബിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

15. Eliud begat Eleasar: Eleasar begat Matthan: Matthan begat Iacob:

16. യാക്കോബ് മറിയയുടെ ഭര്ത്താവായ യോസേഫിനെ ജനപ്പിച്ചു. അവളില് നിന്നു ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു പേരുള്ള യേശു ജനിച്ചു.

16. Iacob begat Ioseph the husbande of Mary of which was boren that Iesus that is called Christ.

17. ഇങ്ങനെ തലമുറകള് ആകെ അബ്രാഹാം മുതല് ദാവീദുവരെ പതിന്നാലും ദാവീദു മുതല് ബാബേല്പ്രവാസത്തോളം പതിന്നാലും ബാബേല്പ്രവാസം മുതല് ക്രിസ്തുവിനോളം പതിന്നാലും ആകുന്നു.

17. All the generacions from Abraham to David are fowretene generacios. And fro David vnto the captivite of Babylon are fowretene generacions. And from the captivite of Babylon vnto Christ are also fowrtene generacios.

18. എന്നാല് യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ജനനം ഈ വണ്ണം ആയിരുന്നു. അവന്റെ അമ്മയായ മറിയ യോസേഫിന്നു വിവാഹം നിശ്ചയിക്കപ്പെട്ടശേഷം അവര് കൂടിവരുമ്മുമ്പെ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനാല് ഗര്ഭിണിയായി എന്നു കണ്ടു.

19. അവളുടെ ഭര്ത്താവായ യോസേഫ് നീതിമാനാകകൊണ്ടും അവള്ക്കു ലോകാപവാദം വരുത്തുവാന് അവന്നു മനസ്സില്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടും അവളെ ഗൂഢമായി ഉപേക്ഷിപ്പാന് ഭാവിച്ചു.

19. The Ioseph her husbande beinge a perfect ma and loth to make an ensample of hir was mynded to put her awaye secretely.

20. ഇങ്ങനെ നിനെച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോള് കര്ത്താവിന്റെ ദൂതന് അവന്നു സ്വപ്നത്തില് പ്രത്യക്ഷനായിദാവീദിന്റെ മകനായ യോസേഫേ, നിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ മറിയയെ ചേര്ത്തുകൊള്വാന് ശങ്കിക്കേണ്ടാ; അവളില് ഉല്പാദിതമായതു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനാല് ആകുന്നു.

20. Whill he thus thought behold ye angell of ye Lorde appered vnto him in a dreame saynge: Ioseph ye sonne of David feare not to take vnto ye Mary thy wyfe. For that which is coceaved in her is of the holy goost.

21. അവള് ഒരു മകനനെ പ്രസവിക്കും; അവന് തന്റെ ജനത്തെ അവരുടെ പാപങ്ങളില് നിന്നു രക്ഷിപ്പാനിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു നീ അവന്നു യേശു എന്നു പേര് ഇടേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

21. She shall brynge forthe a sonne and thou shalt call his name Iesus. For he shall save his peple from their synnes.

22. “കന്യക ഗര്ഭിണിയായി ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിക്കും. അവന്നു ദൈവം നമ്മോടു കൂടെ എന്നര്ത്ഥമുള്ള ഇമ്മാനൂവേല് എന്നു പേര് വിളിക്കും”

22. All this was done to fulfill yt which was spoken of the Lorde by the Prophet saynge:

23. എന്നു കര്ത്താവു പ്രവാചകന് മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു നിവൃത്തിയാകുവാന് ഇതൊക്കെയും സംഭവിച്ചു.

23. Beholde a mayde shall be with chylde and shall brynge forthe a sonne and they shall call his name Emanuel which is by interpretacion God with vs.

24. യോസേഫ് ഉറക്കം ഉണര്ന്നു. കര്ത്താവിന്റെ ദൂതന് കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു, ഭാര്യയെ ചേര്ത്തുകൊണ്ടു.

24. And Ioseph assone as he awoke out of slepe did as the angell of the Lorde bade hym and toke hys wyfe vnto hym

25. മകനെ പ്രസവിക്കുംവരെ അവന് അവളെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല. മകന്നു അവന് യേശു എന്നു പേര് വിളിച്ചു.

25. and knewe her not tyll she had brought forth hir fyrst sonne and called hys name Iesus.
