1. അവന് പടകില് കയറി ഇക്കരെക്കു കടന്നു സ്വന്തപട്ടണത്തില് എത്തി.

1. So he stepped into a boat, crossed the lake again and came to his own town.

2. അവിടെ ചിലര് കിടക്കമേല് കിടക്കുന്ന ഒരു പക്ഷവാതക്കാരനെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; യേശു അവരുടെ വിശ്വാസം കണ്ടു പക്ഷവാതക്കാരനോടു“മകനേ, ധൈര്യമായിരിക്ക; നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങള് മോചിച്ചു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

2. Some people brought him a paralyzed man lying on a mattress. When Yeshua saw their trust, he said to the paralyzed man, 'Courage, son! Your sins are forgiven.'

3. എന്നാല് ശാസ്ത്രിമാരില് ചിലര്ഇവന് ദൈവദൂഷണം പറയുന്നു എന്നു ഉള്ളംകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു.

3. On seeing this, some of the [Torah]-teachers said among themselves, 'This man is blaspheming!'

4. യേശുവോ അവരുടെ നിരൂപണം ഗ്രഹിച്ചു“നിങ്ങള് ഹൃദയത്തില് ദോഷം നിരൂപിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങള് മോചിച്ചുതന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. Yeshua, knowing what they were thinking, said, 'Why are you entertaining evil thoughts in your hearts?

5. എന്നു പറയുന്നതോ, എഴുന്നേറ്റു നടക്ക എന്നു പറയുന്നതോ, ഏതാകുന്നു എളുപ്പം” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

5. Tell me, which is easier to say- 'Your sins are forgiven' or 'Get up and walk'?

6. എങ്കിലും ഭൂമിയില് പാപങ്ങളെ മോചിപ്പാന് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്നു അധികാരം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു-അവന് പക്ഷവാതക്കാരനോടു“എഴുന്നേറ്റു, കിടക്ക എടുത്തു വീട്ടില് പോക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

6. But look! I will prove to you that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.' He then said to the paralyzed man, 'Get up, pick up your mattress, and go home!'

7. അവന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു വീട്ടില് പോയി.

7. And the man got up and went home.

8. പുരുഷാരം അതു കണ്ടു ഭയപ്പെട്ടു മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള അധികാരം കൊടുത്ത ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.

8. When the crowds saw this, they were awestruck and said a [b'rakhah] to God the Giver of such authority to human beings.

9. യേശു അവിടെനിന്നു പോകുമ്പോള് മത്തായി എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് ചുങ്കസ്ഥലത്തു ഇരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു“എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക” എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു; അവന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു.

9. As Yeshua passed on from there he spotted a tax-collector named Mattityahu sitting in his collection booth. He said to him, 'Follow me!' and he got up and followed him.

10. അവന് വീട്ടില് ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നു ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് വളരെ ചുങ്കക്കാരും പാപികളും വന്നു യേശുവിനോടും അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടും കൂടെ പന്തിയില് ഇരുന്നു.

10. While Yeshua was in the house eating, many tax-collectors and sinners came and joined him and his [talmidim] at the meal.

11. പരീശന്മാര് അതു കണ്ടു അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുനിങ്ങളുടെ ഗുരു ചുങ്കക്കാരോടും പാപികളോടും കൂടെ ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

11. When the [P'rushim] saw this, they said to his [talmidim], 'Why does your rabbi eat with tax-collectors and sinners?'

12. യേശു അതു കേട്ടാറെ“ദീനക്കാര്ക്കല്ലാതെ സൌഖ്യമുള്ളവര്ക്കും വൈദ്യനെക്കൊണ്ടു ആവശ്യമില്ല.

12. But Yeshua heard the question and answered, 'The ones who need a doctor aren't the healthy but the sick.

13. യാഗത്തിലല്ല കരുണയില് അത്രേ ഞാന് പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നു എന്നുള്ളതു എന്തു എന്നു പോയി പഠിപ്പിന് . ഞാന് നീതിമാന്മാരെ അല്ല പാപികളെ അത്രേ വിളിപ്പാന് വന്നതു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. As for you, go and learn what this means: 'I want compassion rather than animal-sacrifices.' For I didn't come to call the 'righteous,' but sinners!'

14. യോഹന്നാന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുഞങ്ങളും പരീശന്മാരും വളരെ ഉപവസിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് ഉപവസിക്കാത്തതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

14. Next, Yochanan's [talmidim] came to him and asked, 'Why is it that we and the [P'rushim] fast frequently, but your [talmidim] don't fast at all?'

15. യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു“മണവാളന് കൂടെയുള്ളപ്പോള് തോഴ്മക്കാര്ക്കും ദുഃഖിപ്പാന് കഴികയില്ല; മണവാളന് പിരിഞ്ഞുപോകേണ്ടുന്ന നാള് വരും; അന്നു അവര് ഉപവസിക്കും.

15. Yeshua said to them, 'Can wedding guests mourn while the bridegroom is still with them? But the time will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them; then they will fast.

16. കോടിത്തുണിക്കണ്ടം ആരും പഴയ വസ്ത്രത്തില് ചേര്ത്തു തുന്നുമാറില്ല; തുന്നിച്ചേര്ത്താല് അതു കൊണ്ടു വസ്ത്രം കീറും; ചീന്തല് ഏറ്റവും വല്ലാതെയായി തീരും.

16. No one patches an old coat with a piece of unshrunk cloth, because the patch tears away from the coat and leaves a worse hole.

17. പുതു വീഞ്ഞു പഴയ തുരുത്തിയില് പകരുമാറുമില്ല; പകര്ന്നാല് തുരുത്തി പൊളിഞ്ഞു വീഞ്ഞു ഒഴുകിപ്പോകും; തുരുത്തിയും നശിച്ചുപോകും. പുതുവീഞ്ഞു പുതിയ തുരുത്തിയിലേ പകര്ന്നു വെക്കയുള്ളു; അങ്ങനെ രണ്ടും ഭദ്രമായിരിക്കും.”

17. Nor do people put new wine in old wineskins; if they do, the skins burst, the wine spills and the wineskins are ruined. No, they pour new wine into freshly prepared wineskins, and in this way both are preserved.'

18. അവന് ഇങ്ങനെ അവരോടു സംസാരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള് ഒരു പ്രമാണി വന്നു അവനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചുഎന്റെ മകള് ഇപ്പോള് തന്നേ കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയി; എങ്കിലും നീ വന്നു അവളുടെമേല് കൈ വെച്ചാല് അവള് ജീവിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

18. While he was talking, an official came in, kneeled down in front of him and said, 'My daughter has just died. But if you come and lay your hand on her, she will live.'

19. യേശു എഴുന്നേറ്റു ശിഷ്യന്മാരുമായി അവന്റെ കൂടെ ചെന്നു.

19. Yeshua, with his [talmidim], got up and followed him.

20. അന്നു പന്ത്രണ്ടു സംവത്സരമായിട്ടു രക്തസ്രവമുള്ളോരു സ്ത്രീ

20. A woman who had had a hemorrhage for twelve years approached him from behind and touched the [tzitzit] on his robe.

21. അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രം മാത്രം ഒന്നു തൊട്ടാല് എനിക്കു സൌഖ്യം വരും എന്നു ഉള്ളംകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു, പിറകില് വന്നു അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ തൊങ്ങല് തൊട്ടു.

21. For she said to herself, 'If I can only touch his robe, I will be healed.'

22. യേശു തിരിഞ്ഞു അവളെ കണ്ടപ്പോള്“മകളെ, ധൈര്യപ്പെടുക; നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം നിന്നെ രക്ഷിച്ചു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ആ നാഴികമുതല് സ്ത്രീക്കു സൌഖ്യം വന്നു.

22. Yeshua turned, saw her and said, 'Courage, daughter! Your trust has healed you.' And she was instantly healed.

23. പിന്നെ യേശു പ്രമാണിയുടെ വീട്ടില് കടന്നു, കുഴലൂതുന്നവരെയും ആരവാരക്കൂട്ടത്തെയും കണ്ടിട്ടു

23. When Yeshua arrived at the official's house and saw the flute-players, and the crowd in an uproar,

24. “മാറിപ്പോകുവിന് ; ബാല മരിച്ചില്ലല്ലോ ഉറങ്ങുന്നത്രേ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവരോ അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു.

24. he said, 'Everybody out! The girl isn't dead, she's only sleeping!' And they jeered at him.

25. അവന് പുരുഷാരത്തെ പുറത്താക്കി അകത്തു കടന്നു ബാലയുടെ കൈപിടിച്ചു, ബാല എഴുന്നേറ്റു.

25. But after the people had been put outside, he entered and took hold of the girl's hand, and she got up.

26. ഈ വര്ത്തമാനം ആ ദേശത്തു ഒക്കെയും പരന്നു.

26. News of this spread through all that region.

27. യേശു അവിടെനിന്നു പോകുമ്പോള് രണ്ടു കുരുടന്മാര്ദാവീദ് പുത്രാ, ഞങ്ങളോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു പിന്തുടര്ന്നു.

27. As Yeshua went on from there, two blind men began following him, shouting, 'Son of David! Take pity on us!'

28. അവന് വീട്ടില് എത്തിയപ്പോള് കുരുടന്മാര് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു. “ഇതു ചെയ്വാന് എനിക്കു കഴിയും എന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുവോ” എന്നു യേശു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുഉവ്വു, കര്ത്താവേ എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.

28. When he entered the house, the blind men came up, and Yeshua said to them, 'Do you believe that I have the power to do this?' They replied, 'Yes, sir.'

29. അവന് അവരുടെ കണ്ണു തൊട്ടു“നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസം പോലെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഭവിക്കട്ടെ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ഉടനെ അവരുടെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നു.

29. Then he touched their eyes and said, 'Let it happen to you according to your trust';

30. പിന്നെ യേശു“നോക്കുവിന് ; ആരും അറിയരുതു എന്നു അമര്ച്ചയായി കല്പിച്ചു.”

30. and their sight was restored. Yeshua warned them severely, 'See that no one knows about it.'

31. അവരോ പുറപ്പെട്ടു ആ ദേശത്തിലൊക്കെയും അവന്റെ ശ്രുതിയെ പരത്തി.

31. But instead, they went away and talked about him throughout that district.

32. അവര് പോകുമ്പോള് ചിലര് ഭൂതഗ്രസ്തനായോരു ഊമനെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

32. As they were going, a man controlled by a demon and unable to speak was brought to Yeshua.

33. അവന് ഭൂതത്തെ പുറത്താക്കിയ ശേഷം ഊമന് സംസാരിച്ചുയിസ്രായേലില് ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരുനാളും കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല എന്നു പുരുഷാരം അതിശയിച്ചു.

33. After the demon was expelled the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowds were amazed. 'Nothing like this has ever been seen in Isra'el,' they said.

34. പരീശന്മാരോഇവന് ഭൂതങ്ങളുടെ തലവനെക്കൊണ്ടു ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

34. But the [P'rushim] said, 'It is through the ruler of the demons that he expels demons.'

35. യേശു പട്ടണംതോറും ഗ്രാമംതോറും സഞ്ചരിച്ചു അവരുടെ പള്ളികളില് ഉപദേശിച്ചു രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ സുവിശേഷം പ്രസംഗിക്കയും സകലവിധദീനവും വ്യാധിയും സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

35. Yeshua went about all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and weakness.

36. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were harried and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

37. “കൊയ്ത്തു വളരെ ഉണ്ടു സത്യം, വേലക്കാരോ ചുരുക്കം;

37. Then he said to his [talmidim], 'The harvest is rich, but the workers are few.

38. ആകയാല് കൊയ്ത്തിന്റെ യജമാനനോടു കൊയ്ത്തിലേക്കു വേലക്കാരെ അയക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യാചിപ്പിന് ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

38. Pray that the Lord of the harvest will send out workers to gather in his harvest.'
