1. പിന്നെ അവന് അവരോടുദൈവരാജ്യം ശക്തിയോടെ വരുന്നതു കാണുവോളം മരണം ആസ്വദിക്കാത്തവര് ചിലര് ഈ നിലക്കുന്നവരില് ഉണ്ടു എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

1. And after .vi. dayes Iesus toke Peter Iames and Iohn and leede them vp into an hye mountayne out of ye waye alone and he was transfigured before them.

2. ആറു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം യേശു പത്രൊസിനെയും യാക്കോബിനെയും യോഹന്നാനെയും കൂട്ടി ഒരു ഉയര്ന്ന മലയിലേക്കു തനിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി അവരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ രൂപാന്തരപ്പെട്ടു.

2. And his rayment dyd shyne and was made very whyte even as snowe: so whyte as noo fuller can make apon the erth.

3. ഭൂമിയില് ഒരു അലക്കുകാരന്നും വെളുപ്പിപ്പാന് കഴിയാതെവണ്ണം അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രം അത്യന്തം വെളുപ്പായി തിളങ്ങി.

3. And ther apered vnto them Helyas with Moses: and they talked with Iesu.

4. അപ്പോള് ഏലീയാവും മോശെയും അവര്ക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷമായി യേശുവിനോടു സംഭാഷിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

4. And Peter answered and sayde to Iesu: Master here is good beinge for vs let vs make .iii. tabernacles one for the one for Moses and one for Helyas.

5. പത്രൊസ് യേശുവിനോടുറബ്ബീ നാം ഇവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു നല്ലതു; ഞങ്ങള് മൂന്നു കുടില് ഉണ്ടാക്കട്ടെ; ഒന്നു നിനക്കും ഒന്നു മോശെക്കും ഒന്നു ഏലീയാവിന്നും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

5. And yet he wist not what he sayde: for they were afrayde.

6. താന് എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു എന്നു അവന് അറിഞ്ഞില്ല; അവര് ഭയപരവശരായിരുന്നു.

6. And ther was a cloude that shaddowed the. And a voyce came out of the cloude sayinge: This is my dere sonne here him.

7. പിന്നെ ഒരു മേഘം വന്നു അവരുടെ മേല് നിഴലിട്ടുഇവന് എന്റെ പ്രിയ പുത്രന് ; ഇവന്നു ചെവികൊടുപ്പിന് എന്നു മേഘത്തില് നിന്നു ഒരു ശബ്ദവും ഉണ്ടായി.

7. And sodenly they loked rounde aboute them and sawe no man more then Iesus only wt the.

8. പെട്ടെന്നു അവര് ചുറ്റും നോക്കിയാറെ തങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ യേശുവിനെ മാത്രം അല്ലാതെ ആരെയും കണ്ടില്ല.

8. And as they came doune from the hyll he charged the that they shuld tell no ma what they had sene tyll the sonne of man were rysen fro deeth agayne.

9. അവര് മലയില് നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങുമ്പോള്മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു എഴുന്നേറ്റിട്ടല്ലാതെ ഈ കണ്ടതു ആരോടും അറിയിക്കരുതു എന്നു അവന് അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചു.

9. And they kepte that sayinge with them and demaunded one of a nother what yt rysinge from deeth agayne shuld meane?

10. മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു എഴുന്നേല്ക്ക എന്നുള്ളതു എന്തു എന്നു തമ്മില് തര്ക്കിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു അവര് ആ വാക്കു ഉള്ളില് സംഗ്രഹിച്ചു;

10. And they axed him sayinge: why then saye ye scribe that Helyas muste fyrste come?

11. ഏലീയാവു മുമ്പെ വരേണ്ടതു എന്നു ശാസ്ത്രിമാര് വാദിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു അവര് ചോദിച്ചു.

11. He answered and sayde vnto them: Helyas verelye shall fyrst come and restore all thinges. And also ye sonne of ma as it is wrytte shall suffre many thinges and shall be set at nought.

12. അതിന്നു യേശുഏന്നഏലീയാവു മുമ്പെ വന്നു സകലവും യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താക്കുന്നു സത്യം; എന്നാല് മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചുഅവന് വളരെ കഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയും ധിക്കരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടിവരും എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

12. Moreouer I saye vnto you that Helyas is come and they have done vnto him whatsoever pleased them as it is wrytten of him.

13. ഏലീയാവു വന്നു; അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവര് തങ്ങള്ക്കു തോന്നിയതു എല്ലാം അവനോടു ചെയ്തു എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

13. And he came to his disciples and sawe moche people aboute them and the scribes disputinge with them.

14. അവന് ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കെ വന്നാറെ വലിയ പുരുഷാരം അവരെ ചുറ്റി നിലക്കുന്നതും ശാസ്ത്രിമാര് അവരോടു തര്ക്കിക്കുന്നതും കണ്ടു.

14. And streyght waye all the people when they behelde him were amased and ran to him and saluted him.

15. പുരുഷാരം അവനെ കണ്ട ഉടനെ ഭ്രമിച്ചു ഔടിവന്നു അവനെ വന്ദിച്ചു.

15. And he sayde vnto the Scribes: what dispute ye with them?

16. അവന് അവരോടുനിങ്ങള് അവരുമായി തര്ക്കിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

16. And one of the copanye answered and sayde: Master I have brought my sonne vnto the which hath a dome spirite.

17. അതിന്നു പുരുഷാരത്തില് ഒരുത്തന് ഗുരോ, ഊമനായ ആത്മാവുള്ള എന്റെ മകനെ ഞാന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

17. And whensoever he taketh him he teareth him and he fometh and gnassheth with his tethe and pyneth awaye. And I spake to thy disciples that they shuld caste him out and they coulde not.

18. അതു അവനെ എവിടെവെച്ചു പിടിച്ചാലും അവനെ തള്ളിയിടുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവന് നുരെച്ചു പല്ലുകടിച്ചു വരണ്ടുപോകുന്നു. അതിനെ പുറത്താക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവര്ക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

18. He answered him and sayd: O generacion wt out faith how longe shall I be with you? How longe shall I suffre you? Bringe him vnto me.

19. അവന് അവരോടുഅവിശ്വാസമുള്ള തലമുറയേ, എത്രത്തോളം ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കും? എത്രത്തോളം നിങ്ങളെ പൊറുക്കും? അവനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരുവിന് എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

19. And they brought him vnto him. And assone as ye sprete sawe him he tare him. And he fell doune on the grounde walowinge and fomynge.

20. അവര് അവനെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. അവനെ കണ്ട ഉടനെ ആത്മാവു അവനെ ഇഴെച്ചു; അവന് നിലത്തു വീണു നുരെച്ചുരുണ്ടു.

20. And he axed his father: how longe is it a goo sens this hath happened him? And he sayde of a chylde:

21. ഇതു അവന്നു സംഭവിച്ചിട്ടു എത്ര കാലമായി എന്നു അവന്റെ അപ്പനോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവന് ചെറുപ്പംമുതല് തന്നേ.

21. and ofte tymes casteth him into the fyre and also into the water to destroye him. But yf thou canste do eny thinge have mercy on vs and helpe vs.

22. അതു അവനെ നശിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പലപ്പോഴും തീയിലും വെള്ളത്തിലും തള്ളിയിട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു; നിന്നാല് വല്ലതും കഴിയും എങ്കില് മനസ്സല്ലിഞ്ഞു ഞങ്ങളെ സഹായിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യേശു അവനോടുനിന്നാല് കഴിയും എങ്കില് എന്നോ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു സകലവും കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. And Iesus sayde vnto him: ye yf thou couldest beleve all thinges are possible to him yt belevith.

23. യേശു അവനോടുനിന്നാല് കഴിയും എങ്കില് എന്നോ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു സകലവും കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

23. And streygth waye the father of the chylde cryed with teares sayinge: Lorde I beleve helpe myne vnbelefe.

24. ബാലന്റെ അപ്പന് ഉടനെ നിലവിളിച്ചുകര്ത്താവേ, ഞാന് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അവിശ്വാസത്തിനു സഹായിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. When Iesus sawe that the people came runnynge togedder vnto him he rebuked the foule sprete sayinge vnto him: Thou domme and deffe sprete I charge the come out of him and entre no more into him.

25. എന്നാറെ പുരുഷാരം ഔടിക്കൂടുന്നതു യേശു കണ്ടിട്ടു അശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ ശാസിച്ചുഊമനും ചെകിടനുമായ ആത്മാവേ, ഇവനെ വിട്ടു പോ; ഇനി അവനില് കടക്കരുതു എന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. And the sprete cryed and rent him sore and came out: And he was as one that had bene deed in so moche yt many sayde he is deed.

26. അപ്പോള് അതു നിലവിളിച്ചു അവനെ വളരെ ഇഴെച്ചു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോയി. മരിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു പലരും പറവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവന് മരിച്ച പോലെ ആയി.

26. But Iesus caught his honde and lyfte him vp: and he roose.

27. യേശു അവനെ കൈകൂ പിടിച്ചു നിവര്ത്തി, അവന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു.

27. And when he was come into the housse his disciples axed him secretly: why coulde not we caste him out?

28. വീട്ടില് വന്നശേഷം ശിഷ്യന്മാര് സ്വകാര്യമായി അവനോടുഞങ്ങള്ക്കു അതിനെ പുറത്താക്കുവാന് കഴിയാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

28. And he sayde vnto them: this kynde can by no nother meanes come forth but by prayer and fastynge.

29. പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയാല് അല്ലാതെ ഈ ജാതി ഒന്നിനാലും പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോകയില്ല എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

29. And they departed thens and toke their iorney thorow Galile and he wolde not that eny man shuld have knowen it.

30. അവിടെ നിന്നു അവര് പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഗലീലയില് കൂടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു; അതു ആരും അറിയരുതെന്നു അവന് ഇച്ഛിച്ചു.

30. For he taught his disciples and sayde vnto them: The sonne of man shalbe delyvered into ye hondes of men and they shall kyll him and after that he is kylled he shall aryse agayne the thryd daye.

31. അവന് തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ പഠിപ്പിച്ചു അവരോടുമനുഷ്യപുത്രന് മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടും; അവര് അവനെ കൊല്ലും; കൊന്നിട്ടു മൂന്നു നാള് കഴിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം അവന് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേലക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

31. But they wiste not what that sayinge meat and were affrayed to axe him.

32. ആ വാക്കു അവര് ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല; അവനോടു ചോദിപ്പാനോ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു.

32. And he came to Capernaum. And when he was come to housse he axed the: what was it that ye disputed bytwene you by the waye?

33. അവന് കഫര്ന്നഹൂമില് വന്നു വീട്ടില് ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള്നിങ്ങള് വഴിയില്വെച്ചു തമ്മില് വാദിച്ചതു എന്തു എന്നു അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

33. And they helde their peace: for by the waye they reasoned amonge the selves who shuld be the chefest.

34. അവരോ തങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് വലിയവന് ആര് എന്നു വഴിയില്വെച്ചു വാദിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു.

34. And he sate doune and called the twelve vnto him and sayd to them: yf eny man desyre to be fyrst the same shalbe last of all and servaunt vnto all.

35. അവന് ഇരുന്നു പന്തിരുവരെയും വിളിച്ചുഒരുവന് മുമ്പന് ആകുവാന് ഇച്ഛിച്ചാല് അവന് എല്ലാവരിലും ഒടുക്കത്തവനും എല്ലാവര്ക്കും ശുശ്രൂഷകനും ആകേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

35. And he toke a chylde and set him in ye middes of them and toke him in his armes and sayde vnto them.

36. ഒരു ശിശുവിനെ എടുത്തു അവരുടെ നടുവില് നിറുത്തി അണെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു അവരോടു

36. Whosoever receave eny soche a chylde in my name receaveth me. And whosoever receaveth me receaveth not me but him that sent me.

37. ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള ശിശുക്കളില് ഒന്നിനെ എന്റെ നാമത്തില് കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവന് എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു; എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവനോ എന്നെയല്ല എന്നെ അയച്ചവനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

37. Iohn answered him sayinge: Master we sawe one castynge out devyls in thy name which foloweth not vs and we forbade him because he foloweth vs not.

38. യോഹന്നാന് അവനോടുഗുരോ, ഒരുവന് നിന്റെ നാമത്തില് ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നതു ഞങ്ങള് കണ്ടു; അവന് നമ്മെ അനുഗമിക്കായ്കയാല് ഞങ്ങള് അവനെ വിരോധിച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

38. But Iesus sayde forbid him not. For ther is no ma that shall do a miracle in my name that can lightlyge speake evyll of me.

39. അതിന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞതുഅവനെ വിരോധിക്കരുതു; എന്റെ നാമത്തില് ഒരു വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്തിട്ടു വേഗത്തില് എന്നെ ദുഷിച്ചുപറവാന് കഴിയുന്നവന് ആരും ഇല്ല.

39. Whosoever is not agaynste you is on youre parte.

40. നമുക്കു പ്രതിക്കുലമല്ലാത്തവന് നമുക്കു അനുകൂലമല്ലോ.

40. And whosoever shall geve you a cuppe of water to drinke for my names sake because ye belonge to Christe verely I saye vnto you he shall not loose his rewarde.

41. നിങ്ങള് ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നുള്ളവര് എന്നീ നാമത്തില് ആരെങ്കിലും ഒരു പാനപാത്രം വെള്ളം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കുടിപ്പാന് തന്നാല് അവന്നു പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടാതിരിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

41. And whosoever shall offende one of these lytelons yt beleve in me it were better for him yt a mylstone were hanged aboute his necke and yt he he were cast into ye see:

42. എങ്കല് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഈ ചെറിയവരില് ഒരുത്തന്നു ഇടര്ച്ചവരുത്തുന്നവന്റെ കഴുത്തില് വലിയോരു തിരികല്ലു കെട്ടി അവനെ കടലില് ഇട്ടുകളയുന്നതു അവന്നു ഏറെ നല്ലു.

42. wherfore yf thy hande offende ye cut him of. It is better for ye to entre into lyffe maymed then havynge two hondes goo into hell into fire yt never shalbe quenched

43. നിന്റെ കൈ നിനക്കു ഇടര്ച്ച വരുത്തിയാല് അതിനെ വെട്ടിക്കളക

43. where there worme dyeth not and the fyre never goeth oute.

44. മുടന്തനായി ജീവനില് കടക്കുന്നതു രണ്ടു കയ്യുമുള്ളവന് ആയി കെടാത്ത തീയായ നരകത്തില് പോകുന്നതിനെക്കാള് നിനക്കു നല്ലു.

44. Lykewyse yf thy fote offende the cut him of. For it is better for the to goo halt into lyfe then havynge two fete to be cast into hell into fyre that never shalbe quenched:

45. നിന്റെ കാല് നിനക്കു ഇടര്ച്ച വരുത്തിയാല് അതിനെ വെട്ടിക്കളക

45. where there worme dyeth not and the fyre never goeth oute.

46. മുടന്തനായി ജീവനില് കടക്കുന്നതു രണ്ടു കാലുമുള്ളവന് ആയി കെടാത്ത തീയായ നരകത്തില് വീഴുന്നതിനെക്കാള് നിനക്കു നല്ലു.

46. Even so yf thyne eye offende the plucke him oute. It is better for the to goo into the kyngdom of god with one eye then havynge two eyes to be caste into hell fyre:

47. നിന്റെ കണ്ണു നിനക്കു ഇടര്ച്ച വരുത്തിയാല് അതിനെ ചൂന്നുകളക; ഒറ്റക്കണ്ണനായി ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് കടക്കുന്നതു രണ്ടുകണ്ണുള്ളവനായി അഗ്നിനരകത്തില് വീഴുന്നതിനെക്കാള് നിനക്കു നല്ലു.

47. where there worme dyeth not and the fyre never goeth oute.

48. അവിടെ അവരുടെ പുഴു ചാകുന്നില്ല. തീ കെടുന്നതുമില്ല.

48. Every man therfore shalbe salted wt fyre: And every sacrifise shalbe seasoned with salt.

49. എല്ലാവന്നും തീകൊണ്ടു ഉപ്പിടും.

49. Salt is good. But yf ye salt be vnsavery: what shall ye salte therwith? Se yt ye have salt in youre selves: and have peace amonge youre selves one with another.
