1. അനന്തരം യേശു തിബെര്യ്യാസ് എന്ന ഗലീലക്കടലിന്റെ അക്കരെക്കു പോയി.

1. After these thynges, Iesus went his waye ouer the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.

2. അവന് രോഗികളില് ചെയ്യുന്ന അടയാളങ്ങളെ കണ്ടിട്ടു ഒരു വലിയ പുരുഷാരം അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ചെന്നു.

2. And a great multitude folowed hym, because they sawe his miracles whiche he dyd on them that were diseased.

3. യേശു മലയില് കയറി ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുകൂടെ അവിടെ ഇരുന്നു.

3. And Iesus went vp into a mountayne, & there he sate with his disciples.

4. യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ പെസഹ പെരുന്നാള് അടുത്തിരുന്നു.

4. And the Passouer, a feast of ye Iewes, was nye.

5. യേശു വലിയൊരു പുരുഷാരം തന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുന്നതു കണ്ടിട്ടു ഫിലിപ്പൊസിനോടുഇവര്ക്കും തിന്നുവാന് നാം എവിടെ നിന്നു അപ്പം വാങ്ങും എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

5. When Iesus then lyft vp his eyes, and sawe a great company come vnto him, he saith vnto Philip: Whence shal we bye bread, that these may eate?

6. ഇതു അവനെ പരീക്ഷിപ്പാനത്രേ ചോദിച്ചതു; താന് എന്തു ചെയ്വാന് പോകുന്നു എന്നു താന് അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

6. (This he sayde to proue hym: for he hym selfe knewe what he woulde do.)

7. ഫിലിപ്പൊസ് അവനോടുഔരോരുത്തന്നു അല്പമല്പം ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇരുനൂറു പണത്തിന്നു അപ്പം മതിയാകയില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

7. Philip aunswered hym: Two hundred penie worth of bread are not sufficient for them, that euery man may take a litle.

8. ശിഷ്യന്മാരില് ഒരുത്തനായി ശിമോന് പത്രൊസിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അന്ത്രെയാസ് അവനോടു

8. One of his disciples, Andrewe, Simo Peters brother, sayth vnto hym:

9. ഇവിടെ ഒരു ബാലകന് ഉണ്ടു; അവന്റെ പക്കല് അഞ്ചു യവത്തപ്പവും രണ്ടു മീനും ഉണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും ഇത്രപേര്ക്കും അതു എന്തുള്ളു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

9. There is a litle ladde here, whiche hath fyue barly loaues and two fisshes, but what are they among so many?

10. ആളുകളെ ഇരുത്തുവിന് എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു. ആ സ്ഥലത്തു വളരെ പുല്ലുണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അയ്യായിരത്തോളം പുരുഷന്മാര് ഇരുന്നു.

10. And Iesus sayde: Make the people syt downe. There was much grasse in the place. So the men sate downe, in number about fyue thousande.

11. പിന്നെ യേശു അപ്പം എടുത്തു വാഴ്ത്തി, ഇരുന്നവര്ക്കും പങ്കിട്ടുകൊടുത്തു; അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ മീനും വേണ്ടുന്നേടത്തോളം കൊടുത്തു.

11. And Iesus toke the bread, and when he had geue thankes, he gaue to the disciples, and the disciples to them yt were set downe, and lykewyse of the fisshes, as much as they woulde.

12. അവര്ക്കും തൃപ്തിയായശേഷം അവന് ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുശേഷിച്ച കഷണം ഒന്നും നഷ്ടമാക്കാതെ ശേഖരിപ്പിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

12. When they had eaten enough, he saide vnto his disciples: Gather vp the broke meate that remayneth, that nothyng be lost.

13. അഞ്ചു യവത്തപ്പത്തില് തിന്നു ശേഷിച്ച കഷണം അവര് ശേഖരിച്ചു പന്ത്രണ്ടു കൊട്ട നിറച്ചെടുത്തു.

13. And they gathered it together, & fylled twelue baskettes with the broken meate of the fyue barly loaues, whiche [broken meate] remayned vnto them that had eaten.

14. അവന് ചെയ്ത അടയാളം ആളുകള് കണ്ടിട്ടുലോകത്തിലേക്കു വരുവാനുള്ള പ്രവാചകന് ഇവന് ആകുന്നു സത്യം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

14. Then those men, when they had seene the miracle that Iesus did, saide: This is of a trueth the same prophete that shoulde come into the worlde.

15. അവര് വന്നു തന്നെ പിടിച്ചു രാജാവാക്കുവാന് ഭാവിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യേശു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു പിന്നെയും തനിച്ചു മലയിലേക്കു വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

15. When Iesus therfore perceaued, that they would come and take him, to make hym kyng, he departed agayne into amountayne hym selfe alone.

16. സന്ധ്യയായപ്പോള് ശിഷ്യന്മാര് കടല്പുറത്തേക്കു ഇറങ്ങി

16. And when euen was nowe come, his disciples went downe vnto the sea.

17. പടകുകയറി കടലക്കരെ കഫര്ന്നഹൂമിലേക്കു യാത്രയായി; ഇരുട്ടായശേഷവും യേശു അവരുടെ അടുക്കല് വന്നിരുന്നില്ല.

17. And gat vp into a shippe, and went ouer the sea, towardes Capernau: And it was nowe darke, and Iesus was not come to them.

18. കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു അടിക്കയാല് കടല് കോപിച്ചു.

18. And the sea arose, with a great wynde that blewe.

19. അവര് നാലു അഞ്ചു നാഴിക ദൂരത്തോളം വലിച്ചശേഷം യേശു കടലിന്മേല് നടന്നു പടകിനോടു സമീപിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു പേടിച്ചു.

19. So, when they had rowed about 25 or 30 furlonges, they sawe Iesus walkyng on the sea, and drawyng nye vnto the shippe, and they were afrayde.

20. അവന് അവരോടുഞാന് ആകുന്നു; പേടിക്കേണ്ടാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

20. But he sayth vnto them: It is I, be not afrayde.

21. അവര് അവനെ പടകില് കയറ്റുവാന് ഇച്ഛിച്ചു; ഉടനെ പടകു അവര് പോകുന്ന ദേശത്തു എത്തിപ്പോയി.

21. And they wyllyngly receaued hym into the shippe, and immediatly the shippe was at the lande whyther they went.

22. പിറ്റെന്നാള് കടല്ക്കരെ നിന്ന പുരുഷാരം ഒരു പടകല്ലാതെ അവിടെ വേറെ ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു എന്നും, യേശു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുകൂടെ പടകില് കയറാതെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് മാത്രം പോയിരുന്നു എന്നും ഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

22. The day folowyng, when the people, whiche stoode on the other syde of the sea, sawe that there was none other shippe there, saue that one whereinto his disciples were entred, and that Iesus went not in with his disciples into the shippe, but that his disciples were gone [awaye] alone:

23. എന്നാല് കര്ത്താവു വാഴ്ത്തീട്ടു അവര് അപ്പം തിന്ന സ്ഥലത്തിന്നരികെ തിബെര്യ്യാസില്നിന്നു ചെറുപടകുകള് എത്തിയിരുന്നു.

23. Howebeit there came other shippes fro Tiberias, nye vnto the place, where they dyd eate bread, after that the Lord had geuen thankes.

24. യേശു അവിടെ ഇല്ല ശിഷ്യന്മാരും ഇല്ല എന്നു പുരുഷാരം കണ്ടപ്പോള് തങ്ങളും പടകു കയറി യേശുവിനെ തിരഞ്ഞു കഫര്ന്നഹൂമില് എത്തി.

24. When the people therefore sawe that Iesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also toke shippyng, and came to Capernaum, sekyng for Iesus.

25. കടലക്കരെ അവനെ കണ്ടെത്തിയപ്പോള്റബ്ബീ, നീ എപ്പോള് ഇവിടെ വന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നുയേശു

25. And whe they had founde hym on the other side of the sea, they said vnto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hyther? Iesus aunswered them, and sayde:

26. ആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുനിങ്ങള് അടയാളം കണ്ടതുകൊണ്ടല്ല, അപ്പം തിന്നു തൃപ്തരായതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ എന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതു.

26. Ueryly veryly I say vnto you, ye seke me, not because ye sawe the miracles, but because ye dyd eate of the loaues, & were fylled.

27. നശിച്ചുപോകുന്ന ആഹാരത്തിന്നായിട്ടല്ല, നിത്യജീവങ്കലേക്കു നിലനിലക്കുന്ന ആഹാരത്തിന്നായിട്ടു തന്നേ പ്രവര്ത്തിപ്പിന് ; അതു മനുഷ്യ പുത്രന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തരും. അവനെ പിതാവായ ദൈവം മുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

27. Labour not for the meate whiche perisheth, but for that whiche endureth vnto euerlastyng lyfe, which [meate] the sonne of man shall geue vnto you: For hym hath God the father sealed.

28. അവര് അവനോടു ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദമുള്ള പ്രവൃത്തികളെ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞങ്ങള് എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

28. Then saide they vnto him: What shall we do, that we myght worke ye workes of God?

29. യേശു അവരോടുദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദമുള്ള പ്രവൃത്തി അവന് അയച്ചവനില് നിങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നതത്രേ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

29. Iesus aunswered, & sayde vnto them: This is the worke of God, that ye beleue on hym whom he hath sent.

30. അവര് അവനോടുഞങ്ങള് കണ്ടു നിന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ എന്തു അടയാളം ചെയ്യുന്നു? എന്തു പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു?

30. They said therfore vnto hym: What signe shewest thou then, yt we may see, & beleue thee? What doest thou worke?

31. നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് മരുഭൂമിയില് മന്നാ തിന്നു; അവര്ക്കും തിന്നുവാന് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിന്നു അപ്പം കൊടുത്തു എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

31. Our fathers dyd eate Manna in the desert, as it is written: He gaue them bread from heauen to eate.

32. യേശു അവരോടുആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുസ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നുള്ള അപ്പം മോശെയല്ല നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നതു, എന്റെ പിതാവത്രേ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നുള്ള സാക്ഷാല് അപ്പം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തരുന്നതു.

32. Then Iesus sayde vnto them: Ueryly veryly I say vnto you, Moyses gaue you not yt bread fro heauen, but my father geueth you ye true bread fro heaue.

33. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അപ്പമോ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്നു ലോകത്തിന്നു ജീവനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നതു ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

33. For the bread of God, is he which cometh downe from heauen, and geueth lyfe vnto the worlde.

34. അവര് അവനോടുകര്ത്താവേ, ഈ അപ്പം എപ്പോഴും ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു തരേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

34. Then sayde they vnto hym: Lorde, euermore geue vs this bread.

35. യേശു അവരോടുപറഞ്ഞതുഞാന് ജീവന്റെ അപ്പം ആകുന്നു; എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുന്നവന്നു വിശക്കയില്ല; എന്നില് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു ഒരു നാളും ദാഹിക്കയുമില്ല.

35. And Iesus sayde vnto them, I am the bread of lyfe: He that cometh to me, shall not hunger: and he that beleueth on me, shall neuer thirst.

36. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ കണ്ടിട്ടും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

36. But I say vnto you, that ye also haue seene me, and yet ye beleue not.

37. പിതാവു എനിക്കു തരുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരും; എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുന്നവനെ ഞാന് ഒരുനാളും തള്ളിക്കളകയില്ല.

37. All that the father geueth me, shall come to me: and hym that commeth to me, I cast not away.

38. ഞാന് എന്റെ ഇഷ്ടമല്ല, എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടമത്രേ ചെയ്വാന് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു.

38. For I came downe from heauen, not to do that I wyll: but that he wyll, which hath sent me.

39. അവന് എനിക്കു തന്നതില് ഒന്നും ഞാന് കളയാതെ എല്ലാം ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളില് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിക്കേണം എന്നാകുന്നു എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം.

39. And this is the fathers wyll whiche hath sent me: that of all which he hath geuen me, I shal lose nothing, but rayse it vp agayne at the last day.

40. പുത്രനെ നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു അവനില് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവന്നും നിത്യജീവന് ഉണ്ടാകേണമെന്നാകുന്നു എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം; ഞാന് അവനെ ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളില് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിക്കും.

40. And this is the wyll of him yt sent me: that euery one which seeth the sonne, & beleueth on him, hath euerlastyng lyfe: And I wyll rayse him vp at ye last day.

41. ഞാന് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്ന അപ്പം എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞതിനാല് യെഹൂദന്മാര് അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു പിറുപിറുത്തു

41. The Iewes then murmured at him, because he sayde, I am the bread [of life] which came downe from heauen.

42. ഇവന് യോസേഫിന്റെ പുത്രനായ യേശു അല്ലയോ? അവന്റെ അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും നാം അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ; പിന്നെ ഞാന് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്നു എന്നു അവന് പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.

42. And they saide: Is not this Iesus, ye sonne of Ioseph, whose father and mother we knowe? Howe is it then that he sayth, I came downe from heauen?

43. യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുനിങ്ങള് തമ്മില് പിറുപിറുക്കേണ്ടാ;

43. Iesus aunswered, & sayde vnto them: Murmure not among your selues.

44. എന്നെ അയച്ച പിതാവു ആകര്ഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാതെ ആര്ക്കും എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുവാന് കഴികയില്ല; ഞാന് ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളില് അവനെ ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിക്കും.

44. No man can come to me, except the father, whiche hath sent me, drawe hym: And I wyll rayse hym vp at the last day.

45. എല്ലാവരും ദൈവത്താല് ഉപദേശിക്കപ്പെട്ടവര് ആകും എന്നു പ്രവാചകപുസ്തകങ്ങളില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു. പിതാവിനോടു കേട്ടുപഠിച്ചവന് എല്ലാം എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരും.

45. It is written in the prophetes: And they shalbe all taught of God. Euery man therfore that hath heard, and hath learned of the father, cometh vnto me.

46. പിതാവിനെ ആരെങ്കിലും കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു എന്നല്ല, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് നിന്നു വന്നവന് മാത്രമേ പിതാവിനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ള.

46. Not that any man hath seene the father, saue he which is of God, the same hath seene the father.

47. ആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളൊടു പറയുന്നുവിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു നിത്യജീവന് ഉണ്ടു.

47. Ueryly veryly I say vnto you, he that putteth his trust in me, hath euerlasting lyfe.

48. ഞാന് ജീവന്റെ അപ്പം ആകുന്നു.

48. I am that bread of lyfe.

49. നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് മരുഭൂമിയില് മന്നാ തിന്നിട്ടും മരിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

49. Your fathers dyd eate Manna in the wyldernesse, and are dead.

50. ഇതോ തിന്നുന്നവന് മരിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങുന്ന അപ്പം ആകുന്നു.

50. This is that bread, which commeth downe from heauen, that yf any man eate therof, [he] shoulde not dye.

51. സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിയ ജീവനുള്ള അപ്പം ഞാന് ആകുന്നു; ഈ അപ്പം തിന്നുന്നവന് എല്ലാം എന്നേക്കും ജീവിക്കും; ഞാന് കൊടുപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന അപ്പമോ ലോകത്തിന്റെ ജീവന്നു വേണ്ടി ഞാന് കൊടുക്കുന്ന എന്റെ മാംസം ആകുന്നു.

51. I am that lyuyng bread, which came downe from heauen. Yf any man eate of this bread, he shall lyue for euer. And the bread that I wyl geue, is my fleshe, whiche I wyll geue for the lyfe of the worlde.

52. ആകയാല് യെഹൂദന്മാര്നമുക്കു തന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നേണ്ടതിന്നു തരുവാന് ഇവന്നു എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു തമ്മില് വാദിച്ചു.

52. The Iewes therefore stroue among them selues, saying: Howe can this felowe geue vs that fleshe of his to eate?

53. യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുനിങ്ങള് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നാതെയും അവന്റെ രക്തം കുടിക്കാതെയും ഇരുന്നാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഉള്ളില് ജീവന് ഇല്ല.

53. Then Iesus saide vnto them: Ueryly veryly I saye vnto you, excepte ye eate the fleshe of the sonne of man, and drynke his blood, ye haue no lyfe in you.

54. എന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നുകയും എന്റെ രക്തം കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന്നു നിത്യജീവന് ഉണ്ടു; ഞാന് ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളില് അവനെ ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിക്കും.

54. Who so eateth my fleshe, and drinketh my blood, hath eternall lyfe, and I wyl rayse hym vp at the last day.

55. എന്റെ മാംസം സാക്ഷാല് ഭക്ഷണവും എന്റെ രക്തം സാക്ഷാല് പാനീയവും ആകുന്നു.

55. For my fleshe is meate in deede, and my blood is drynke in deede.

56. എന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നുകയും എന്റെ രക്തം കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന് എന്നിലും ഞാന് അവനിലും വസിക്കുന്നു.

56. He that eateth my fleshe, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, & I in hym.

57. ജീവനുള്ള പിതാവു എന്നെ അയച്ചിട്ടു ഞാന് പിതാവിന് മൂലം ജീവിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ എന്നെ തിന്നുന്നവന് എന് മൂലം ജീവിക്കും.

57. As the lyuing father hath sent me, and I lyue by the father: Euen so, he that eateth me, shal liue by [the meanes of] me.

58. സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്ന അപ്പം ഇതു ആകുന്നു; പിതാക്കന്മാര് തിന്നുകയും മരിക്കയും ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അല്ല; ഈ അപ്പം തിന്നുന്നവന് എന്നേക്കും ജീവിക്കും.

58. This is that bread, which came downe from heauen: Not as your fathers dyd eate Manna, and are dead. He that eateth of this bread, shall lyue euer.

59. അവന് കഫര്ന്നഹൂമില് ഉപദേശിക്കുമ്പോള് പള്ളിയില്വെച്ചു ഇതു പറഞ്ഞു.

59. These thynges sayde he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.

60. അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് പലരും അതു കേട്ടിട്ടുഇതു കഠിനവാക്കു, ഇതു ആര്ക്കും കേള്പ്പാന് കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

60. Many therfore of his disciples, when they had hearde this, saide: This is an harde saying, who can abyde the hearyng of it?

61. ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അതിനെച്ചൊല്ലി പിറുപിറുക്കുന്നതു യേശു തന്നില്തന്നേ അറിഞ്ഞു അവരോടുഇതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഇടര്ച്ച ആകുന്നുവോ?

61. Iesus knewe in hym selfe, that his disciples murmured at it, and he sayde vnto them, doth this offende you?

62. മനുഷ്യ പുത്രന് മുമ്പെ ഇരുന്നേടത്തേക്കു കയറിപ്പോകുന്നതു നിങ്ങള് കണ്ടാലോ?

62. What and yf ye shall see the sonne of man ascende vp thyther where he was before?

63. ജീവിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു ആത്മാവു ആകുന്നു; മാംസം ഒന്നിന്നും ഉപകരിക്കുന്നില്ല; ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ച വചനങ്ങള് ആത്മാവും ജീവനും ആകുന്നു.

63. It is the spirite that quickeneth, the fleshe profiteth nothyng. The wordes that I speake vnto you, are spirite and lyfe.

64. എങ്കിലും വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവര് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു — വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവര് ഇന്നവര് എന്നും തന്നെ കാണിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുന്നവന് ഇന്നവന് എന്നും യേശു ആദിമുതല് അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു —

64. But there are some of you that beleue not. For Iesus knewe from the begynning, which they were that beleued not, and who shoulde betray hym.

65. ഇതു ഹേതുവായിട്ടത്രേ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടുപിതാവു കൃപ നല്കീട്ടല്ലാതെ ആര്ക്കും എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുവാന് കഴികയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്നും അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

65. And he sayde: Therfore saide I vnto you, that no man can come vnto me, except it were geue vnto him of my father.

66. അന്നുമുതല് അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരില് പലരും പിന് വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി, പിന്നെ അവനോടു കൂടെ സഞ്ചരിച്ചില്ല.

66. From that time, many of his disciples wet backe, & walked no more with him.

67. ആകയാല് യേശു പന്തിരുവരോടുനിങ്ങള്ക്കും പൊയ്ക്കൊള്വാന് മനസ്സുണ്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

67. Then sayde Iesus vnto the twelue: Wyll ye also go away?

68. ശിമോന് പത്രൊസ് അവനോടുകര്ത്താവേ, ഞങ്ങള് ആരുടെ അടുക്കല് പോകും? നിത്യജീവന്റെ വചനങ്ങള് നിന്റെ പക്കല് ഉണ്ടു.

68. Then Simon Peter aunswered him: Lorde, to who shall we go? Thou hast the wordes of eternall lyfe:

69. നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധന് എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിച്ചും അറിഞ്ഞും ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

69. And we beleue and are sure that thou art Christe, the sonne of ye lyuyng God.

70. യേശു അവരോടുനിങ്ങളെ പന്ത്രണ്ടു പേരെ ഞാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തില്ലയോ? എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളില് ഒരുത്തന് ഒരു പിശാചു ആകുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. ഇതു അവന് ശിമോന് ഈസ്കര്യയ്യോര്ത്താവിന്റെ മകനായ യൂദയെക്കുറിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

70. Iesus aunswereth them: Haue not I chosen you twelue, and one of you is a deuyll?

71. ഇവന് പന്തിരുവരില് ഒരുത്തന് എങ്കിലും അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുപ്പാനുള്ളവന് ആയിരുന്നു.

71. He spake of Iudas Iscariot [the sonne] of Simon: For he it was, that shoulde betray hym, beyng one of the twelue.
