1. ദൈവം തന്റെ പുത്രനും നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവുമായ യേശു ക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു

1. Paul, servant of Jesus, the Christ, called [to be] an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God

2. വിശുദ്ധരേഖകളില് തന്റെ പ്രവാചകന്മാര് മുഖാന്തരം മുമ്പുകൂട്ടി വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്ത സുവിശേഷത്തിന്നായി വേര്തിരിച്ചു വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട അപ്പൊസ്തലനും യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ദാസനുമായ പൌലൊസ്

2. (which he had promised before by his prophets in the holy scriptures)

3. റോമയില് ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രയരും വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുമായ എല്ലാവര്ക്കും എഴുതുന്നതു

3. of his Son (who was born unto him of the seed of David according to the flesh,

4. നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കല് നിന്നും കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്നും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

4. who was declared [to be] the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of sanctification, by the resurrection from the dead), of Jesus, the Christ, our Lord.

5. ജഡം സംബന്ധിച്ചു ദാവീദിന്റെ സന്തതിയില്നിന്നു ജനിക്കയും മരിച്ചിട്ടു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കയാല് വിശുദ്ധിയുടെ ആത്മാവു സംബന്ധിച്ചു ദൈവ പുത്രന് എന്നു ശക്തിയോടെ നിര്ണ്ണയിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നവനാലല്ലോ ഞങ്ങള്

5. By whom we have received the grace and the apostleship, to [cause] the faith to be obeyed among all the Gentiles in his name,

6. അവന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നായി സകലജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയില് വിശ്വാസത്തിന്നു അനുസരണം വരുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു കൃപയും അപ്പൊസ്തലത്വവും പ്രാപിച്ചതു.

6. among whom ye are also the called of Jesus Christ;

7. അവരില് യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്നായി വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട നിങ്ങളും ഉള്പ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. to all that are in Rome, beloved of God, called [to be] saints; ye have grace and peace of God our Father and of the Lord Jesus, the Christ.

8. നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസം സര്വ്വലോകത്തിലും പ്രസിദ്ധമായിരിക്കുന്നതിനാല് ഞാന് ആദ്യം തന്നേ എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു യേശുക്രിസ്തുമുഖാന്തരം നിങ്ങള്ക്കെല്ലാവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

8. First, I thank my God through Jesus, the Christ, regarding you all, that your faith is preached in all the world.

9. ഞാന് ഇടവിടാതെ നിങ്ങളെ ഔര്ത്തുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവേഷ്ടത്താല് എപ്പോള് എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് വരുവാന് സാധിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയില് എപ്പോഴും യാചിക്കുന്നു

9. For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I always remember you in my prayers,

10. എന്നുള്ളതിന്നു അവന്റെ പുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്തില് ഞാന് എന്റെ ആത്മാവില് ആരാധിക്കുന്ന ദൈവം എനിക്കു സാക്ഷി.

10. making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.

11. നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്ഥിരീകരണത്തിന്നായി ആത്മികവരം വല്ലതും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു നല്കേണ്ടതിന്നു,

11. For I long to see you that I may impart with you some spiritual gift to confirm you,

12. അതായതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കും എനിക്കും ഒത്തൊരുമിച്ചുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്താല് നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ എനിക്കും ആശ്വാസം ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ കാണ്മാന് വാഞ്ഛിക്കുന്നു.

12. that is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

13. എന്നാല് സഹോദരന്മാരേ, എനിക്കു ശേഷം ജാതികളില് എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളിലും വല്ല ഫലവും ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് വരുവാന് പലപ്പോഴും ഭാവിച്ചു എങ്കിലും ഇതുവരെ മുടക്കം വന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയാതിരിക്കരുതു എന്നു ഞാന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.

13. Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that many times I purposed to come unto you (but up until now I have been unable) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.

14. യവനന്മാര്ക്കും ബര്ബരന്മാര്ക്കും ജ്ഞാനികള്ക്കും ബുദ്ധിഹീനര്ക്കും ഞാന് കടക്കാരന് ആകുന്നു.

14. I am debtor both to the Greeks and to the Barbarians; both to the wise and to the unwise.

15. അങ്ങനെ റോമയിലുള്ള നിങ്ങളോടും സുവിശേഷം അറിയിപ്പാന് എന്നാല് ആവോളം ഞാന് ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

15. So, as much as in me is, I am ready to announce the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

16. സുവിശേഷത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു എനിക്കു ലജ്ജയില്ല; വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവന്നും ആദ്യം യെഹൂദന്നും പിന്നെ യവനവന്നും അതു രക്ഷെക്കായി ദൈവശക്തിയാകുന്നുവല്ലോ.

16. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of the Christ; for it is [the] power of God [to give] saving health to every one that believes: to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

17. അതില് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നീതി വിശ്വാസം ഹേതുവായും വിശ്വാസത്തിന്നായിക്കൊണ്ടും വെളിപ്പെടുന്നു. “നീതിമാന് വിശ്വാസത്താല് ജീവിക്കും” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

17. For in him is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

18. അനീതികൊണ്ടു സത്യത്തെ തടുക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യരുടെ സകല അഭക്തിക്കും അനീതിക്കും നേരെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കോപം സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിന്നു വെളിപ്പെടുന്നു.

18. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and injustice of men, who hold back the truth with injustice;

19. ദൈവത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു അറിയാകുന്നതു അവര്ക്കും വെളിവായിരിക്കുന്നു;

19. because that which is known of God is manifest to them; for God has showed [it] unto them.

20. ദൈവം അവര്ക്കും വെളിവാക്കിയല്ലോ. അവന്റെ നിത്യശക്തിയും ദിവ്യത്വവുമായി അവന്റെ അദൃശ്യലക്ഷണങ്ങള് ലോകസൃഷ്ടിമുതല് അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളാല് ബുദ്ധിക്കു തെളിവായി വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നു; അവര്ക്കും പ്രതിവാദമില്ലാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.

20. For the invisible things of him, his eternal power and divinity, are clearly understood by the creation of the world and by the things that are made so that there is no excuse;

21. because having known God, they did not glorify [him] as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools

23. അക്ഷയനായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ തേജസ്സിനെ അവര് ക്ഷയമുള്ള മനുഷ്യന് , പക്ഷി, നാല്ക്കാലി, ഇഴജാതി എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപ സാദൃശ്യമായി മാറ്റിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

23. and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for [the] likeness of [an] image of corruptible man and of birds and of fourfooted beasts and of serpents.

24. അതുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവം അവരെ തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളിലെ മോഹങ്ങളില് സ്വന്തശരീരങ്ങളെ തമ്മില് തമ്മില് അവമാനിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അശുദ്ധിയില് ഏല്പിച്ചു.

24. Therefore God also gave them over to the lusts of their own hearts for uncleanness, to contaminate their own bodies between [themselves],

25. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സത്യം അവര് വ്യാജമാക്കി മാറ്റിക്കളഞ്ഞു, സൃഷ്ടിച്ചവനെക്കാള് സൃഷ്ടിയെ ഭജിച്ചു ആരാധിച്ചു; അവന് എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന് , ആമേന് .

25. who changed the truth of God into a lie and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for all ages. Amen.

26. അതുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവം അവരെ അവമാനരാഗങ്ങളില് ഏല്പിച്ചു; അവരുടെ സ്ത്രീകള് സ്വാഭാവികഭോഗത്തെ സ്വഭാവവിരുദ്ധമാക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

26. For this cause God gave them up unto shameful affections, for even their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature;

27. അവ്വണ്ണം പുരുഷന്മാരും സ്വാഭാവികസ്ത്രീഭോഗം വിട്ടു അന്യോന്യം കാമം ജ്വലിച്ചു ആണോടു ആണ് അവലക്ഷണമായതു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു. ഇങ്ങനെ അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ വിഭ്രമത്തിന്നു യോഗ്യമായ പ്രതിഫലം തങ്ങളില് തന്നേ പ്രാപിച്ചു.

27. and likewise also the males, leaving the natural use of the females, burned in their lust one toward another, males with males committing nefarious works and receiving in themselves the recompense that proceeded from their error.

28. ദൈവത്തെ പരിജ്ഞാനത്തില് ധരിപ്പാന് ഇഷ്ടമില്ലാഞ്ഞതിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം ദൈവം അവരെ ഉചിതമല്ലാത്തതു ചെയ്വാന് നികൃഷ്ടബുദ്ധിയില് ഏല്പിച്ചു.

28. And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a perverse understanding, to do those things which are not convenient,

29. അവര് സകല അനീതിയും ദുഷ്ടതയും അത്യാഗ്രഹവും ദുര്ബ്ബുദ്ധിയും നിറഞ്ഞവര്; അസൂയ, കുല, പിണക്കം, കപടം, ദുശ്ശീലം എന്നിവ തിങ്ങിയവര്,

29. being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30. കുരളക്കാര്, ഏഷണിക്കാര്, ദൈവദ്വേഷികള്, നിഷ്ഠൂരന്മാര്, ഗര്വ്വിഷ്ഠന്മാര്, ആത്മപ്രശംസക്കാര്, പുതുദോഷം സങ്കല്പിക്കുന്നവര്, മാതാപിതാക്കന്മാരെ അനുസരിക്കാത്തവര്,

30. backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31. ബുദ്ധി ഹീനര്, നിയമലംഘികള്, വാത്സല്യമില്ലാത്തവര്, കനിവറ്റവര്

31. without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, without mercy.

32. ഈ വക പ്രവൃത്തിക്കുന്നവര് മരണയോഗ്യര് എന്നുള്ള ദൈവന്യായം അവര് അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടും അവയെ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്ക മാത്രമല്ല പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവരില് പ്രസാദിക്കയുംകൂടെ ചെയ്യുന്നു.

32. Who having understood the righteousness of God, they did not understand that those who do such things are worthy of death, not only those that do the same, but even those who encourage those that do them.:
