1. എന്നാല് യെഹൂദന്നു എന്തു വിശേഷത? അല്ല, പരിച്ഛേദനയാല് എന്തു പ്രയോജനം?

1. What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit [is there] of circumcision?

2. സകലവിധത്തിലും വളരെ ഉണ്ടു; ഒന്നാമതു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടുകള് അവരുടെ പക്കല് സമര്പ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു തന്നേ.

2. Much every way: chiefly, because that to them were committed the oracles of God.

3. ചിലര് വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല എങ്കില് അവരുടെ അവിശ്വാസത്താല് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തതെക്കു നീക്കം വരുമോ? ഒരുനാളും ഇല്ല.

3. For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?

4. “നിന്റെ വാക്കുകളില് നീ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടുവാനും, നിന്റെ ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തില് ജയിപ്പാനും” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ദൈവം സത്യവാന് , സകല മനുഷ്യരും ഭോഷകു പറയുന്നവര് എന്നേ വരൂ.

4. By no means: verily, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mayest be justified in thy sayings, and mayest overcome when thou art judged.

5. എന്നാല് നമ്മുടെ അനീതി ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നീതിയെ പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് നാം എന്തു പറയും? ശിക്ഷ നടത്തുന്ന ദൈവം നീതിയില്ലാത്തവന് എന്നോ? ഞാന് മാനുഷരീതിയില് പറയുന്നു — ഒരുനാളുമല്ല;

5. But if our unrighteousness commendeth the righteousness of God, what shall we say? [Is] God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)

6. അല്ലെങ്കില് ദൈവം ലോകത്തെ എങ്ങനെ വിധിക്കും?

6. By no means: for then how shall God judge the world?

7. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സത്യം എന്റെ ഭോഷ്കിനാല് അവന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന്നായി അധികം തെളിവായി എങ്കില് എന്നെ പാപി എന്നു വിധിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?

7. For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie to his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

8. നല്ലതു വരേണ്ടതിന്നു തീയതുചെയ്ക എന്നു പറയരുതോ? ഞങ്ങള് അങ്ങനെ പറയുന്നു എന്നു ചിലര് ഞങ്ങളെ ദുഷിച്ചുപറയുന്നുവല്ലോ. ഇവര്ക്കും വരുന്ന ശിക്ഷാവിധി നീതിയുള്ളതു തന്നേ.

8. And not [rather], (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose condemnation is just.

9. ആകയാല് എന്തു? നമുക്കു വിശേഷതയുണ്ടോ? അശേഷമില്ല; യെഹൂദന്മാരും യവനന്മാരും ഒരുപോലെ പാപത്തിന് കീഴാകുന്നു എന്നു നാം മുമ്പെ തെിളിയിച്ചുവല്ലോ;

9. What then? are we better [than they]? No, in no way: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

10. “നീതിമാന് ആരുമില്ല. ഒരുത്തന് പോലുമില്ല.

10. As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

11. There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh God.

12. എല്ലാവരും വഴിതെറ്റി ഒരുപോലെ കൊള്ളരുതാത്തവരായിത്തീര്ന്നു; നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നവനില്ല, ഒരുത്തന് പോലും ഇല്ല.

12. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

13. അവരുടെ തൊണ്ട തുറന്ന ശവകൂഴിനാവുകൊണ്ടു അവര് ചതിക്കുന്നു; സര്പ്പവിഷം അവരുടെ അധരങ്ങള്ക്കു കീഴെ ഉണ്ടു.

13. Their throat [is] an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps [is] under their lips:

18. There is no fear of God before their eyes.

19. ന്യായപ്രമാണം പറയുന്നതു എല്ലാം ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന് കീഴുള്ളവരോടു പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ ഏതു വായും അടഞ്ഞു സര്വലോകവും ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് ശിക്ഷായോഗ്യമായിത്തീരേണ്ടതത്രേ.

19. Now we know that whatever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

20. അതുകൊണ്ടു ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളാല് ഒരു ജഡവും അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടുകയില്ല; ന്യായപ്രമാണത്താല് പാപത്തിന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനമത്രേ വരുന്നതു.

20. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin.

21. ഇപ്പോഴോ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നീതി, വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവര്ക്കും യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിങ്കലെ വിശ്വാസത്താലുള്ള ദൈവനീതി, തന്നേ, ന്യായപ്രമാണം കൂടാതെ വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

21. But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

22. അതിന്നു ന്യായപ്രമാണവും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നു.

22. Even the righteousness of God [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ to all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

23. ഒരു വ്യത്യാസവുമില്ല; എല്ലാവരും പാപം ചെയ്തു ദൈവതേജസ്സു ഇല്ലാത്തവരായിത്തീര്ന്നു,

23. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24. അവന്റെ കൃപയാല് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിങ്കലെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുമൂലം സൌജന്യമായത്രേ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതു.

24. Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Jesus Christ:

25. വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും അവന് തന്റെ രക്തംമൂലം പ്രായശ്ചിത്തമാകുവാന് ദൈവം അവനെ പരസ്യമായി നിറുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ദൈവം തന്റെ പൊറുമയില് മുന് കഴിഞ്ഞപാപങ്ങളെ ശിക്ഷിക്കാതെ വിടുകനിമിത്തം തന്റെ നീതിയെ പ്രദര്ശിപ്പിപ്പാന് ,

25. Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

26. താന് നീതിമാനും യേശുവില് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവനെ നീതീകരിക്കുന്നവനും ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇക്കാലത്തു തന്റെ നീതിയെ പ്രദര്ശിപ്പിപ്പാന് തന്നേ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തതു.

26. To declare, [I say], at this time his righteousness: that he may be just, and the justifier of him who believeth in Jesus.

27. ആകയാല് പ്രശംസ എവിടെ? അതുപൊയ്പോയി. ഏതു മാര്ഗ്ഗത്താല്? കര്മ്മ മാര്ഗ്ഗത്താലോ? അല്ല, വിശ്വാസമാര്ഗ്ഗത്താലത്രേ.

27. Where [is] boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

28. അങ്ങനെ മനുഷ്യന് ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കുടാതെ വിശ്വാസത്താല് തന്നേ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു എന്നു നാം അനുമാനിക്കുന്നു.

28. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law.

29. അല്ല, ദൈവം യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ദൈവം മാത്രമോ? ജാതികളുടെയും ദൈവമല്ലയോ? അതേ ജാതികളുടെയും ദൈവം ആകുന്നു.

29. [Is he] the God of the Jews only? [is he] not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

30. ദൈവം ഏകനല്ലോ; അവന് വിശ്വാസംമൂലം പരിച്ഛേദനക്കാരെയും വിശ്വാസത്താല് അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളെയും നീതീകരിക്കുന്നു.

30. Seeing [it is] one God, who shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

31. ആകയാല് നാം വിശ്വാസത്താല് ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെ ദുര്ബ്ബലമാക്കുന്നുവോ? ഒരു നാളും ഇല്ല; നാം ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെ ഉറപ്പിക്കയത്രേ ചെയ്യുന്നു.

31. Do we then make void the law through faith? By no means: but, we establish the law.
