1. ഞാന് ക്രിസ്തുവില് സത്യം പറയുന്നു; ഞാന് പറയുന്നതു ഭോഷ്കല്ല.

1. I say the truth in the Messiah, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit,

2. എനിക്കു വലിയ ദുഃഖവും ഹൃദയത്തില് ഇടവിടാതെ നോവും ഉണ്ടു എന്നു എന്റെ മനസ്സാക്ഷി എനിക്കു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവില് സാക്ഷിയായിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.

4. Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the worship, and the promises;

5. Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh the Messiah came, who is over all, YHWH blessed for ever.

6. Not as though the word of YHWH hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:

7. Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

8. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of YHWH: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

9. For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.

11. (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of YHWH according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)

12. “മൂത്തവന് ഇളയവനെ സേവിക്കും” എന്നു അവളോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

13. “ഞാന് യാക്കോബിനെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു ഏശാവിനെ ദ്വേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

13. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

14. ആകയാല് നാം എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു? ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പക്കല് അനീതി ഉണ്ടോ? ഒരു നാളും ഇല്ല.

14. What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with YHWH? By no means.

15. “എനിക്കു കരുണ തോന്നേണം എന്നുള്ളവനോടു കരുണ തോന്നുകയും എനിക്കു കനിവു തോന്നേണം എന്നുള്ളവനോടു കനിവു തോന്നുകയും ചെയ്യും” എന്നു അവന് മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

15. For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

16. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of YHWH that sheweth mercy.

17. “ഇതിന്നായിട്ടു തന്നേ ഞാന് നിന്നെ നിര്ത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നതു; നിന്നില് എന്റെ ശക്തി കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും എന്റെ നാമം സര്വ്വഭൂമിയിലും പ്രസ്താവിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നും തന്നേ” എന്നു തിരുവെഴുത്തില് ഫറവോനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

17. For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

18. അങ്ങനെ തനിക്കു മനസ്സുള്ളവനോടു അവന്നു കരുണ തോന്നുന്നു; തനിക്കു മനസ്സുള്ളവരെ അവന് കഠിനനാക്കുന്നു.

18. Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

19. Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?

20. അയ്യോ, മനുഷ്യാ, ദൈവത്തൊടു പ്രത്യുത്തരം പറയുന്ന നീ ആര്? മനഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതു മനഞ്ഞവനോടുനീ എന്നെ ഇങ്ങനെ ചമെച്ചതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിക്കുമോ? അല്ല, കുശവന്നു അതേ പിണ്ഡത്തില്നിന്നു ഒരു പാത്രം മാനത്തിന്നും മറ്റൊരു പാത്രം അപമാനത്തിന്നും ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാന് മണ്ണിന്മേല് അധികാരം ഇല്ലയോ?

20. Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against YHWH? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

21. Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

22. What if YHWH, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

23. And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

24. “എന്റെ ജനമല്ലാത്തവരെ എന്റെ ജനം എന്നും പ്രിയയല്ലാത്തവളെ പ്രിയ എന്നും ഞാന് വിളിക്കും..

24. Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

25. നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ ജനമല്ല എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞ ഇടത്തില് അവര് ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മക്കള് എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടും”

25. As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

26. And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living Elohim.

27. “യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ എണ്ണം കടല്ക്കരയിലെ മണല്പോലെ ആയിരുന്നാലും ശേഷിപ്പത്രേ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടൂ. കര്ത്താവു ഭൂമിയില് തന്റെ വചനം നിവര്ത്തിച്ചു ക്ഷണത്തില് തീര്ക്കും” എന്നു വിളിച്ചു പറയുന്നു.

27. Isaiah also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:

28. “സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ കര്ത്താവു നമുക്കു സന്തതിയെ ശേഷിപ്പിച്ചില്ലെങ്കില് നാം സൊദോമെപ്പോലെ ആകുമായിരുന്നു, ഗൊമോറെക്കു സദൃശമാകുമായിരുന്നു” എന്നു യെശയ്യാ മുമ്പുകൂട്ടി പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
യെശയ്യാ 10:22-23

28. For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will YHWH make upon the earth.

29. ആകയാല് നാം എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു? നീതിയെ പിന്തുടരാത്ത ജാതികള് നീതിപ്രാപിച്ചു, വിശ്വാസത്താലുള്ള നീതി തന്നേ.

29. And as Isaiah said before, Except YHWH Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha.

30. നീതിയുടെ പ്രമാണം പിന് തുടര്ന്ന യിസ്രായേലോ ആ പ്രമാണത്തിങ്കല് എത്തിയില്ല.

30. What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

31. അതെന്തുകൊണ്ടു? വിശ്വാസത്താലല്ല, പ്രവൃത്തികളാല് അന്വേഷിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു തന്നേ അവര് ഇടര്ച്ചക്കല്ലിന്മേല് തട്ടി ഇടറി

31. But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

32. “ഇതാ, ഞാന് സീയോനില് ഇടര്ച്ചക്കല്ലും തടങ്ങല് പാറയും വെക്കുന്നു; അവനില് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന് ലജ്ജിച്ചു പോകയില്ല” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

32. Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
