1. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൃപ ലഭിച്ചതു വ്യര്ത്ഥമായിത്തീരരുതു എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് സഹപ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരായി നിങ്ങളെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

1. As God's fellow-workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain.

2. “പ്രസാദകാലത്തു ഞാന് നിനക്കു ഉത്തരം അരുളി; രക്ഷാദിവസത്തില് ഞാന് നിന്നെ സഹായിച്ചു” എന്നു അവന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുവല്ലോ. ഇപ്പോള് ആകുന്നു സുപ്രസാദകാലം; ഇപ്പോള് ആകുന്നു രക്ഷാദിവസം .

2. For he says, 'In the time of my favour I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.' I tell you, now is the time of God's favour, now is the day of salvation.

5. in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger;

6. in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love;

7. എന്നിവയിലും ഇടത്തും വലത്തും നീതിയുടെ ആയുധങ്ങള് ധരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു

7. in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left;

8. മാനാപമാനങ്ങളും ദുഷ്കീര്ത്തിസല്ക്കീര്ത്തികളും അനുഭവിച്ചും ചതിയന്മാരെന്നിട്ടും സത്യവാന്മാര്,

8. through glory and dishonour, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors;

14. Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

15. What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?

16. ദൈവാലയത്തിന്നു വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോടു എന്തു യോജ്യത? നാം ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയമല്ലോ. “ഞാന് അവരില് വസിക്കയും അവരുടെ ഇടയില് നടക്കയും ചെയ്യും; ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും ദൈവവും അവര് എനിക്കു ജനവും ആകും” എന്നു ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ. അതുകൊണ്ടു “അവരുടെനടുവില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു വേര്പ്പെട്ടിരിപ്പിന് എന്നു കര്ത്താവു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; അശുദ്ധമായതു ഒന്നും തൊടരുതു; എന്നാല് ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ കൈക്കൊണ്ടു

16. What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: 'I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.'
