1. അതിക്രമങ്ങളാലും പാപങ്ങളാലും മരിച്ചവരായിരുന്ന നിങ്ങളെയും അവന് ഉയിര്പ്പിച്ചു.

1. And quyckened you also, whan ye were deed thorow trespaces and synnes,

3. അവരുടെ ഇടയില് നാം എല്ലാവരും മുമ്പെ നമ്മുടെ ജഡമോഹങ്ങളില് നടന്നു ജഡത്തിന്നും മനോവികാരങ്ങള്ക്കും ഇഷ്ടമായതു ചെയ്തുംകൊണ്ടു മറ്റുള്ളവരെപ്പോലെ പ്രകൃതിയാല് കോപത്തിന്റെ മക്കള് ആയിരുന്നു.

3. amonge whom we also had oure conuersacion in tyme past in the lustes of oure flesh, and dyd the wyll of the flesh and of the mynde, and were naturally the children of wrath, euen as well as other.

4. കരുണാസമ്പന്നനായ ദൈവമോ നമ്മെ സ്നേഹിച്ച മഹാ സ്നേഹംനിമിത്തം

4. But God which is riche in mercy thorow his greate loue wherwith he loued vs

5. അതിക്രമങ്ങളാല് മരിച്ചവരായിരുന്ന നമ്മെ ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടു കൂടെ ജീവിപ്പിക്കയും — കൃപയാലത്രേ നിങ്ങള് രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു —

5. eue wha we were deed in synnes, hath quyckened vs in Christ ( for by grace are ye saued)

6. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് നമ്മെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള വാത്സല്യത്തില് തന്റെ കൃപയുടെ അത്യന്തധനത്തെ വരുംകാലങ്ങളില് കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു

6. and hath raysed vs vp with him, and set vs with him in heauely thinges thorow Christ Iesus,

7. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് അവനോടുകൂടെ ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് ഇരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.

7. yt in tymes to come he mighte shewe the exceadinge riches of his grace, in kyndnesse to vs warde in Christ Iesu.

8. കൃപയാലല്ലോ നിങ്ങള് വിശ്വാസംമൂലം രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതു; അതിന്നും നിങ്ങള് കാരണമല്ല; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദാനമത്രേയാകുന്നു.

8. For by grace are ye saued thorow faith, and that not of youre selues, For it is ye gifte of God,

9. ആരും പ്രശംസിക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് പ്രവൃത്തികളും കാരണമല്ല.

9. not of workes, lest eny ma shulde boast him selfe.

10. നാം അവന്റെ കൈപ്പണിയായി സല്പ്രവര്ത്തികള്ക്കായിട്ടു ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരാകുന്നു; നാം ചെയ്തുപോരേണ്ടതിന്നു ദൈവം അവ മുന്നൊരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. For we are his workmanshippe, created in Christ Iesu vnto good workes, to ye which God ordeyned vs before, that we shulde walke in them.

11. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് മുമ്പെ പ്രകൃതിയാല് ജാതികളായിരുന്നു; ജഡത്തില് കയ്യാലുള്ള പരിച്ഛേദന ഏറ്റു പരിച്ഛേദനക്കാര് എന്നു പേരുള്ളവരാല് അഗ്രചര്മ്മക്കാര് എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു;

11. Wherfore remebre, that ye (which afore tyme were Gentyles after the flesh, and were called vn circumcision, of the that are called circumcision after the flesh, which circumcision is made with the hande)

12. അക്കാലത്തു നിങ്ങള് ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ കൂടാതെയുള്ളവരും യിസ്രായേല്പൌരതയോടു സംബന്ധമില്ലാത്തവരും വാഗ്ദത്തത്തിന്റെ നിയമങ്ങള്ക്കു അന്യരും പ്രത്യാശയില്ലാത്തവരും ലോകത്തില് ദൈവമില്ലാത്തവരും ആയിരുന്നു എന്നു ഔര്ത്തുകൊള്വിന് .

12. that ye at the same tyme were without Christ, and reputed aleauntes from the comen welth of Israel, and were straungers from the Testamentes of promes, therfore had ye no hope, and were without God in this worlde.

13. മുമ്പെ ദൂരസ്ഥരായിരുന്ന നിങ്ങള് ഇപ്പോള് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ രക്തത്താല് സമീപസ്ഥരായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

13. But now ye that be in Christ Iesu, and afore tyme were farre of, are now made nye by the bloude of Christ.

14. അവന് നമ്മുടെ സമാധാനം; അവന് ഇരുപക്ഷത്തെയും ഒന്നാക്കി, ചട്ടങ്ങളും കല്പനകളുമായ ന്യായപ്രമാണം എന്ന ശത്രുത്വം തന്റെ ജഡത്താല് നീക്കി വേര്പ്പാടിന്റെ നടുച്ചുവര് ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞതു സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു
യെശയ്യാ 9:6

14. For he is or peace, which of both hath made one, and hath broken downe the wall, that was a stoppe betwene vs,

15. ഇരുപക്ഷത്തെയും തന്നില് ഒരേ പുതുമനുഷ്യനാക്കി സൃഷ്ടിപ്പാനും
ദാനീയേൽ 12:3

15. and hath also thorow his flesh put awaye the cause off hatred (namely the lawe of the commaundemetes contayned in the lawe wrytten) that of twayne he mighte create one new man in him selfe, and make peace,

16. ക്രൂശിന്മേല്വെച്ചു ശത്രുത്വം ഇല്ലാതാക്കി അതിനാല് ഇരുപക്ഷത്തെയും ഏകശരീരത്തില് ദൈവത്തോടു നിരപ്പിപ്പാനും തന്നേ.

16. and to reconcyle both vnto God in one body thorow the crosse, and so he slewe ye hatred thorow his owne selfe,

17. അവന് വന്നു ദൂരത്തായിരുന്ന നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സമാധാനവും സമീപത്തുള്ളവര്ക്കും സമാധാനവും സുവിശേഷിച്ചു.

17. and came and preached peace in the Gospell, vnto you which were afarre of, and to the that were nye.

18. അവന് മുഖാന്തരം നമുക്കു ഇരുപക്ഷക്കാര്ക്കും ഏകാത്മാവിനാല് പിതാവിങ്കലേക്കു പ്രവേശനം ഉണ്ടു.

18. For thorow him we both haue intraunce in one sprete vnto the father.

19. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് ഇനി അന്യന്മാരും പരദേശികളുമല്ല വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ സഹപൌരന്മാരും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഭവനക്കാരുമത്രേ.

19. Now therfore ye are nomore gestes and straungers, but citesins with the sayntes, & of the housholde of God,

20. ക്രിസ്തുയേശു തന്നേ മൂലക്കല്ലായിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങളെ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും എന്ന അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിന്മേല് പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു.
യെശയ്യാ 28:16

20. buylded vpon ye foundacion of ye Apostles and prophetes where Iesus Christ is ye heade corner stone

21. അവനില് കെട്ടിടം മുഴുവനും യുക്തമായി ചേര്ന്നു കര്ത്താവില് വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരമായി വളരുന്നു.

21. in whom euery buyldinge coupled together, groweth to an holy temple in the LODRE,

22. അവനില് നിങ്ങളെയും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നിവാസമാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ആത്മാവിനാല് ഒന്നിച്ചു പണിതുവരുന്നു.

22. in whom ye also are buylded together, to be an habitacion of God in the sprete.
