1. അതിക്രമങ്ങളാലും പാപങ്ങളാലും മരിച്ചവരായിരുന്ന നിങ്ങളെയും അവന് ഉയിര്പ്പിച്ചു.

1. Unto you also being dead by your offences and sins,

3. അവരുടെ ഇടയില് നാം എല്ലാവരും മുമ്പെ നമ്മുടെ ജഡമോഹങ്ങളില് നടന്നു ജഡത്തിന്നും മനോവികാരങ്ങള്ക്കും ഇഷ്ടമായതു ചെയ്തുംകൊണ്ടു മറ്റുള്ളവരെപ്പോലെ പ്രകൃതിയാല് കോപത്തിന്റെ മക്കള് ആയിരുന്നു.

3. Among whom also, we all, had our behaviour, at one time, in the covetings of our flesh, doing the things desired by the flesh and the mind, and were children, by nature, of anger even as the rest,

4. കരുണാസമ്പന്നനായ ദൈവമോ നമ്മെ സ്നേഹിച്ച മഹാ സ്നേഹംനിമിത്തം

4. But, God, being rich in mercy, by reason of the great love wherewith he loved us,

5. അതിക്രമങ്ങളാല് മരിച്ചവരായിരുന്ന നമ്മെ ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടു കൂടെ ജീവിപ്പിക്കയും — കൃപയാലത്രേ നിങ്ങള് രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു —

5. Although we were dead by our offences, gave us life together with the Christ, by favour, ye have been saved,

6. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് നമ്മെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള വാത്സല്യത്തില് തന്റെ കൃപയുടെ അത്യന്തധനത്തെ വരുംകാലങ്ങളില് കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു

6. And raised us up together, and seated us together in the heavenlies, in Christ:

7. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് അവനോടുകൂടെ ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് ഇരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.

7. That he might point out, in the oncoming ages, the surpassing riches of his favour in graciousness upon us, in Christ Jesus;

8. കൃപയാലല്ലോ നിങ്ങള് വിശ്വാസംമൂലം രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതു; അതിന്നും നിങ്ങള് കാരണമല്ല; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദാനമത്രേയാകുന്നു.

8. For, by his favour, have ye been saved, through means of faith, and this hath come to pass not from you, of God, the free-gift!

9. ആരും പ്രശംസിക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് പ്രവൃത്തികളും കാരണമല്ല.

9. Not from works, lest anyone should boast.

10. നാം അവന്റെ കൈപ്പണിയായി സല്പ്രവര്ത്തികള്ക്കായിട്ടു ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരാകുന്നു; നാം ചെയ്തുപോരേണ്ടതിന്നു ദൈവം അവ മുന്നൊരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. His, in fact we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus upon a footing of good works, which God prepared beforehand, that, therein, we might walk.

11. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് മുമ്പെ പ്രകൃതിയാല് ജാതികളായിരുന്നു; ജഡത്തില് കയ്യാലുള്ള പരിച്ഛേദന ഏറ്റു പരിച്ഛേദനക്കാര് എന്നു പേരുള്ളവരാല് അഗ്രചര്മ്മക്കാര് എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു;

11. Wherefore, keep in remembrance that, at one time, ye, the nations in flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by the so-called Circumcision in flesh, made by hand,

12. അക്കാലത്തു നിങ്ങള് ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ കൂടാതെയുള്ളവരും യിസ്രായേല്പൌരതയോടു സംബന്ധമില്ലാത്തവരും വാഗ്ദത്തത്തിന്റെ നിയമങ്ങള്ക്കു അന്യരും പ്രത്യാശയില്ലാത്തവരും ലോകത്തില് ദൈവമില്ലാത്തവരും ആയിരുന്നു എന്നു ഔര്ത്തുകൊള്വിന് .

12. That ye were, in that season, separate from Christ, alienated from the citizenship of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and godless in the world;

13. മുമ്പെ ദൂരസ്ഥരായിരുന്ന നിങ്ങള് ഇപ്പോള് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ രക്തത്താല് സമീപസ്ഥരായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

13. But, just now, in Christ Jesus, ye, who at one time were afar off, were made nigh in the blood of the Christ;

14. അവന് നമ്മുടെ സമാധാനം; അവന് ഇരുപക്ഷത്തെയും ഒന്നാക്കി, ചട്ടങ്ങളും കല്പനകളുമായ ന്യായപ്രമാണം എന്ന ശത്രുത്വം തന്റെ ജഡത്താല് നീക്കി വേര്പ്പാടിന്റെ നടുച്ചുവര് ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞതു സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു
യെശയ്യാ 9:6

14. He, in fact, is our peace who made both one, and, the enclosing middle-wall, took down,

15. ഇരുപക്ഷത്തെയും തന്നില് ഒരേ പുതുമനുഷ്യനാക്കി സൃഷ്ടിപ്പാനും
ദാനീയേൽ 12:3

15. The enmity, in his flesh the law of commandments in decrees bringing to nought, that, the two, he might create in himself, into one man of new mould, making peace.

16. ക്രൂശിന്മേല്വെച്ചു ശത്രുത്വം ഇല്ലാതാക്കി അതിനാല് ഇരുപക്ഷത്തെയും ഏകശരീരത്തില് ദൈവത്തോടു നിരപ്പിപ്പാനും തന്നേ.

16. And might fully reconcile them both, in one body, through means of the cross, slaying the enmity thereby;

17. അവന് വന്നു ദൂരത്തായിരുന്ന നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സമാധാനവും സമീപത്തുള്ളവര്ക്കും സമാധാനവും സുവിശേഷിച്ചു.

17. And, coming, he announced the glad-message of peace, unto you, the far off, and peace, unto them that were nigh;

18. അവന് മുഖാന്തരം നമുക്കു ഇരുപക്ഷക്കാര്ക്കും ഏകാത്മാവിനാല് പിതാവിങ്കലേക്കു പ്രവേശനം ഉണ്ടു.

18. Because, through him, we have our introduction we both in one Spirit, unto the Father.

19. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് ഇനി അന്യന്മാരും പരദേശികളുമല്ല വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ സഹപൌരന്മാരും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഭവനക്കാരുമത്രേ.

19. Hence, then no longer, are ye strangers and sojourners, but ye are fellow-citizens of the saints, and members of the household of God,

20. ക്രിസ്തുയേശു തന്നേ മൂലക്കല്ലായിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങളെ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും എന്ന അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിന്മേല് പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു.
യെശയ്യാ 28:16

20. Having been built up on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, there being, for chief corner stone, Jesus Christ himself,

21. അവനില് കെട്ടിടം മുഴുവനും യുക്തമായി ചേര്ന്നു കര്ത്താവില് വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരമായി വളരുന്നു.

21. In whom, an entire building, in process of being fitly joined together, is growing into a holy shrine in the Lord;

22. അവനില് നിങ്ങളെയും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നിവാസമാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ആത്മാവിനാല് ഒന്നിച്ചു പണിതുവരുന്നു.

22. In whom, ye also, are being builded together, into a habitation of God in Spirit.
