1. വല്ല ഊനമോ വിരൂപതയോ ഉള്ള കാളയെ എങ്കിലും ആടിനെ എങ്കിലും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു യാഗം കഴിക്കരുതു; അതു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു വെറുപ്പു ആകുന്നു.

1. YOU SHALL not sacrifice to the Lord your God an ox or sheep with a blemish or any defect whatsoever, for that is an abomination to the Lord your God.

2. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ഏതൊരു പട്ടണത്തിലെങ്കിലും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു അവന്റെ നിയമം ലംഘിക്കയും

2. If there is found among you within any of your towns which the Lord your God gives you a man or woman who does what is wicked in the sight of the Lord your God by transgressing His covenant,

3. ഞാന് കല്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്ത അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെയോ സൂര്യചന്ദ്രന്മാരെയോ ആകാശത്തിലെ ശേഷം സൈന്യത്തെയോ ചെന്നു സേവിച്ചു നമസ്കരിക്കയും ചെയ്ത പുരുഷനെയാകട്ടെ സ്ത്രീയെയാകട്ടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് കണ്ടുപിടിക്കയും

3. Who has gone and served other gods and worshiped them, or the sun or moon or any of the host of the heavens, which I have forbidden,

4. അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു നിനക്കു അറിവുകിട്ടുകയും ചെയ്താല് നീ നല്ലവണ്ണം ശോധനകഴിച്ചു അങ്ങനെയുള്ള മ്ളേച്ഛത യിസ്രായേലില് നടന്നു എന്നുള്ളതു വാസ്തവവും കാര്യം യഥാര്ത്ഥവും എന്നു കണ്ടാല്

4. And it is told and you hear of it, then inquire diligently. And if it is certainly true that such an abomination has been committed in Israel,

5. ആ ദുഷ്ടകാര്യം ചെയ്ത പുരുഷനെയോ സ്ത്രീയെയോ പട്ടണവാതിലിന്നു പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞു കൊല്ലേണം.

5. Then you shall bring forth to your town's gates that man or woman who has done that wicked thing and you shall stone that man or woman to death.

6. മരണയോഗ്യനായവനെ കൊല്ലുന്നതു രണ്ടോ മൂന്നോ സാക്ഷികളുടെ വാമൊഴിമേല് ആയിരിക്കേണം; ഏകസാക്ഷിയുടെ വാമൊഴിമേല് അവനെ കൊല്ലരുതു.

6. On the evidence of two or three witnesses he who is worthy of death shall be put to death; he shall not be put to death on the evidence of one witness.

7. അവനെ കൊല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു ആദ്യം സാക്ഷികളുടെയും പിന്നെ സര്വ്വജനത്തിന്റെയും കൈ അവന്റെമേല് ചെല്ലേണം; ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് നിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണം.

7. The hands of the witnesses shall be the first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So you shall purge the evil from among you.

8. നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളില് കുലപാതകമാകട്ടെ വസ്തുസംബന്ധമായ വ്യവഹാരമാകട്ടെ അടികലശലാകട്ടെ ഇങ്ങിനെയുള്ള ആവലാധികാര്യങ്ങളില് വല്ലതും വിധിപ്പാന് നിനക്കു പ്രയാസം ഉണ്ടായാല് നീ പുറപ്പെട്ടു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു പോകേണം.

8. If there arises a matter too hard for you in judgment--between one kind of bloodshed and another, between one legality and another, between one kind of assault and another, matters of controversy within your towns--then arise and go to the place which the Lord your God chooses.

9. ലേവ്യരായ പുരേഹിതന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കലും അന്നുള്ള ന്യായാധിപന്റെ അടുക്കലും ചെന്നു ചോദിക്കേണം; അവര് നിനക്കു വിധി പറഞ്ഞുതരും. നിലക്കുന്ന പുരോഹിതന്റെയോ ന്യായാധിപന്റെയോ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കാതെ ആരെങ്കിലും അഹങ്കാരം കാണിച്ചാല് അവന് മരിക്കേണം; ഇങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേലില്നിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണം. രാജാവിനെ എന്റെമേല് ആക്കുമെന്നു പറയുമ്പോള്ാലം ഒക്കെയും അതു വായിക്കയും വേണം.

9. And you shall come to the Levitical priests and to the judge who is in office in those days, and you shall consult them and they shall make clear to you the decision.
