1. ഞാന് നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന അനുഗ്രഹവും ശാപവുമായ ഈ വചനങ്ങള് ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെമേല് നിവൃത്തിയായി വന്നിട്ടു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ള അതതു ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില്വെച്ചു നീ അവയെ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് ഔര്ത്തു

1. 'And when all these things come upon you, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you call them to mind among all the nations where the LORD your God has driven you,

2. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു നീയും നിന്റെ മക്കളും പൂര്ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂര്ണ്ണമനസ്സോടുംകൂടെ, ഞാന് ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചാല്

2. and return to the LORD your God, you and your children, and obey his voice in all that I command you today, with all your heart and with all your soul,

3. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്റെ സ്ഥിതി മാറ്റുകയും നിന്നോടു മനസ്സലിഞ്ഞു നിങ്കലേക്കു തിരികയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ ചിതറിച്ചിരുന്ന സകലജാതികളില്നിന്നും നിന്നെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ക്കുംകയും ചെയ്യും.

3. then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you, and he will gather you again from all the peoples where the LORD your God has scattered you.

4. നിനക്കുള്ളവര് ആകാശത്തിന്റെ അറുതിവരെ ചിതറിപ്പോയിരുന്നാലും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവിടെനിന്നു നിന്നെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ക്കും; അവിടെനിന്നു അവന് നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുവരും.

4. If your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there the LORD your God will gather you, and from there he will take you.

5. നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും കൈവശമായിരുന്ന ദേശത്തേക്കു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുവരും; നീ അതു കൈവശമാക്കും; അവന് നിനക്കു ഗുണംചെയ്തു നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെക്കാള് നിന്നെ വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കും.

5. And the LORD your God will bring you into the land that your fathers possessed, that you may possess it. And he will make you more prosperous and numerous than your fathers.

6. നീ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ പൂര്ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂര്ണ്ണമനസ്സോടുംകൂടെ സ്നേഹിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയവും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയുടെ ഹൃദയവും പരിച്ഛേദന ചെയ്യും.

6. And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your offspring, so that you will love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.

7. ഈ ശാപങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ മേലും നിന്നെ പകെച്ചു ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നവരുടെമേലും വരുത്തും.

7. And the LORD your God will put all these curses on your foes and enemies who persecuted you.

8. നീ മനസ്സുതിരിഞ്ഞു യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു ഞാന് ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ സകലകല്പനകളും അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കയും

8. And you shall again obey the voice of the LORD and keep all his commandments that I command you today.

9. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്റെ കൈകളുടെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തിയിലും നിന്റെ ഗര്ഭഫലത്തിലും മൃഗഫലത്തിലും കൃഷിഫലത്തിലും നിനക്കു നന്മെക്കായി അഭിവൃദ്ധി നലകുകയും ചെയ്യും.

9. The LORD your God will make you abundantly prosperous in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your womb and in the fruit of your cattle and in the fruit of your ground. For the LORD will again take delight in prospering you, as he took delight in your fathers,

10. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിക്കയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു പൂര്ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂര്ണ്ണമനസ്സോടും കൂടെ തിരികയും ചെയ്താല് യഹോവ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരില് പ്രസാദിച്ചിരുന്നതുപോലെ നിന്നിലും നന്മെക്കായിട്ടു വീണ്ടും പ്രസാദിക്കും.

10. when you obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes that are written in this Book of the Law, when you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

11. ഞാന് ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന ഈ കല്പന നിനക്കു പ്രായസമുള്ളതല്ല, ദൂരമായുള്ളതുമല്ല.

11. 'For this commandment that I command you today is not too hard for you, neither is it far off.

12. ഞങ്ങള് കേട്ടു അനുസരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആര് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് കയറി കൊണ്ടുവന്നു തരും എന്നു പറയത്തക്കവണ്ണം അതു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലല്ല;

12. It is not in heaven, that you should say, 'Who will ascend to heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?'

13. ഞങ്ങള് കേട്ടു അനുസരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആര് സമുദ്രം കടന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു തരും എന്നു പറയത്തക്കവണ്ണം അതു സമുദ്രത്തിന്നക്കരെയുമല്ല;

13. Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, 'Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?'

14. നീ അനുസരിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം, വചനം നിനക്കു ഏറ്റവും സമീപത്തു, നിന്റെ വായിലും നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലും തന്നേ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

14. But the word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it.

15. ഇതാ, ഞാന് ഇന്നു ജീവനും ഗുണവും, മരണവും ദോഷവും നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

15. 'See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil.

16. എങ്ങനെയെന്നാല് നീ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു പെരുകുകയും നീ കൈവശമാക്കുവാന് ചെല്ലുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ സ്നേഹിപ്പാനും അവന്റെ വഴികളില് നടപ്പാനും അവന്റെ കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും പ്രമാണിപ്പാനും ഞാന് ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്നു.

16. If you obey the commandments of the LORD your God that I command you today, by loving the LORD your God, by walking in his ways, and by keeping his commandments and his statutes and his rules, then you shall live and multiply, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to take possession of it.

17. എന്നാല് നീ അനുസരിക്കാതെ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം മറികയും നീ വശീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടു അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു സേവിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്

17. But if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but are drawn away to worship other gods and serve them,

18. നീ യോര്ദ്ദാന് കടന്നു കൈവശമാക്കുവാന് ചെല്ലുന്നദേശത്തു ദീര്ഘായുസ്സോടിരിക്കാതെ നിശ്ചയമായിട്ടു നശിച്ചുപോകും എന്നു ഞാന് ഇന്നു നിങ്ങളെ അറിയിക്കുന്നു.

18. I declare to you today, that you shall surely perish. You shall not live long in the land that you are going over the Jordan to enter and possess.

19. ജീവനും മരണവും, അനുഗ്രഹവും ശാപവും നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പില് വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നതിന്നു ഞാന് ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും ഇന്നു സാക്ഷിവെക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു നീയും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയും ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

19. I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live,

20. യഹോവ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്നും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്നും യാക്കോബിന്നും കൊടുക്കുമെന്നു സത്യംചെയ ്തദേശത്തു നീ പാര്പ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ സ്നേഹിക്കയും അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിക്കയും അവനോടു ചേര്ന്നിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നും ജീവനെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തുകൊള്ക; അതല്ലോ നിനക്കു ജീവനും ദീര്ഘായുസ്സും ആകുന്നു.

20. loving the LORD your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.'
