1. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, കാലങ്ങളെയും സമയങ്ങളെയും കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങളെ എഴുതിയറിയിപ്പാന് ആവശ്യമില്ല.

1. Of the tymes and seasons brethren ye have no nede that I write vnto you:

2. കള്ളന് രാത്രിയില് വരുമ്പോലെ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ നാള് വരുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് തന്നേ നന്നായി അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

2. for ye youre selves knowe parfectly that the daye of the Lorde shall come even as a thefe in the nyght.

3. അവര് സമാധാനമെന്നും നിര്ഭയമെന്നും പറയുമ്പോള് ഗര്ഭിണിക്കു പ്രസവ വേദന വരുമ്പോലെ അവര്ക്കും പെട്ടെന്നു നാശം വന്നു ഭവിക്കും; അവര്ക്കും തെറ്റിയൊഴിയാവതുമല്ല.
യിരേമ്യാവു 31:33-34

3. When they shall saye peace and no daunger than commeth on the soden destruccion as the travalynge of a woma with childe and they shall not scape.

4. എന്നാല് സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ആനാള് കള്ളന് എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളെ പിടിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങള് ഇരുട്ടിലുള്ളവരല്ല;

4. But ye brethre are not in darcknes that yt daye shuld come on you as it were a thefe.

5. നിങ്ങള് എല്ലാവരും വെളിച്ചത്തിന്റെ മക്കളും പകലിന്റെ മക്കളും ആകുന്നു; നാം രാത്രിക്കും ഇരുളിന്നുമുള്ളവരല്ല.

5. Ye are all the childre of light and the children of ye daye. We are not of ye nyght nether of darcknes.

6. ആകയാല് നാം ശേഷമുള്ളവരെപ്പോലെ ഉറങ്ങാതെ ഉണര്ന്നും സുബോധമായുമിരിക്ക.

6. Therfore let vs not slepe as do other: but let vs watch and be sober.

7. ഉറങ്ങുന്നവര് രാത്രിയില് ഉറങ്ങുന്നു. മദ്യപിക്കുന്നവര് രാത്രിയില് മദ്യപിക്കുന്നു.

7. For they that slepe slepe in the nyght: and they that be dronken are dronken in the nyght.

8. നാമോ പകലിന്നുള്ളവരാകയാല് വിശ്വാസവും സ്നേഹവും എന്ന കവചവും ശിരസ്ത്രമായി രക്ഷയുടെ പ്രത്യാശയും ധരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു സുബോധമായിരിക്ക.

8. But let vs which are of the daye be sober armed with the brest plate of fayth and love and with hope of salvacio as an helmet.

10. നാം ഉണര്ന്നിരുന്നാലും ഉറങ്ങിയാലും തന്നോടുകൂടെ ജീവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നമുക്കു വേണ്ടി മരിച്ച നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുമൂലം രക്ഷയെ പ്രാപിപ്പാനത്രേ നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു.

11. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് ചെയ്തുവരുന്നതുപോലെ അന്യോന്യം പ്രബോധിപ്പിച്ചും തമ്മില് ആത്മിക വര്ദ്ധനവരുത്തിയും പോരുവിന് .

11. Wherfore comforte youre selves togedder and edifie one another even as ye do.

12. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് അദ്ധ്വാനിക്കയും കര്ത്താവില് നിങ്ങളെ ഭരിക്കയും പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരെ അറിഞ്ഞു അവരുടെ വേലനിമിത്തം

12. We beseche you brethren that ye knowe them which laboure amonge you and have the oversight of you in the Lorde

13. ഏറ്റവും സ്നേഹത്തോടെ വിചാരിക്കേണം എന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. തമ്മില് സമാധാനമായിരിപ്പിന് .

13. and geve you exhortacion that ye have them the more in love for their workes sake and be at peace with them.

14. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുക്രമം കെട്ടവരെ ബുദ്ധിയുപദേശിപ്പിന് ഉള്ക്കരുത്തില്ലാത്തവരെ ധൈര്യപ്പെടുത്തുവിന് ; ബലഹീനരെ താങ്ങുവിന് ; എല്ലാവരോടും ദീര്ഘക്ഷമ കാണിപ്പിന് .

14. We desyre you brethre warne them that are vnruly comforte the feble mynded forbeare the weake have continuall pacience towarde all men.

15. ആരും തിന്മകൂ പകരം തിന്മ ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പാന് നോക്കുവിന് ; തമ്മിലും എല്ലാവരോടും എപ്പോഴും നന്മ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിപ്പിന് ;

15. Se that none recopence evill for evyll vnto eny man: but ever folowe that which is good both amonge youre selves and to all men.

16. എപ്പോഴും സന്തോഷിപ്പിന് ;

17. ഇടവിടാതെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പിന്

17. Praye cotinually.

18. എല്ലാറ്റിന്നും സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്വിന് ; ഇതല്ലോ നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് ദൈവേഷ്ടം.

18. In all thinges geve thankes. For this is the wyll of God in Christ Iesu towarde you.

19. Quenche not the sprete.

20. പ്രവചനം തുച്ഛീകരിക്കരുതു.

20. Despise not prophesyinge.

21. സകലവും ശോധന ചെയ്തു നല്ലതു മുറുകെ പിടിപ്പിന് .

21. Examen all thinges and kepe that which is good.

23. സമാധാനത്തിന്റെ ദൈവം തന്നേ നിങ്ങളെ മുഴുവനും ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ; നിങ്ങളുടെ ആത്മാവും പ്രാണനും ദേഹവും അശേഷം നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷതയില് അനിന്ദ്യമായി വെളിപ്പെടുംവണ്ണം കാക്കപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ.

23. The very God of peace sanctifie you thorow out. And I praye God that youre whole sprete soulse and body be kept fautlesse vnto ye comynge of oure Lorde Iesus Christ

24. നിങ്ങളെ വിളിക്കുന്നവന് വിശ്വസ്തന് ആകുന്നു; അവന് അതു നിവര്ത്തിക്കും.

27. I charge you in the Lorde that this pistle be reed vnto all the holy brethren.

28. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ കൃപ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ.
