1. ന്യായപ്രമാണം വരുവാനുള്ള നന്മകളുടെ നിഴലല്ലാതെ കാര്യങ്ങളുടെ സാക്ഷാല് സ്വരൂപമല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ആണ്ടുതോറും ഇടവിടാതെ കഴിച്ചുവരുന്ന അതേ യാഗങ്ങളാല് അടുത്തുവരുന്നവര്ക്കും സല്ഗുണപൂര്ത്തി വരുത്തുവാന് ഒരുനാളും കഴിവുള്ളതല്ല.

1. For the law which hath but the shadow of good things to come, and not the things in their own fashion, can never with the sacrifices which they offer year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

2. അല്ലെങ്കില് ആരാധനക്കാര്ക്കും ഒരിക്കല് ശുദ്ധിവന്നതിന്റെ ശേഷം പാപങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള മനോബോധം പിന്നെ ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു യാഗം കഴിക്കുന്നതു നിന്നുപോകയില്ലയോ?

2. For would not then those sacrifices have ceased to have been offered? because that the offerers once purged, should have had no more consciences of sins.

3. ഇപ്പോഴോ ആണ്ടുതോറും അവയാല് പാപങ്ങളുടെ ഔര്മ്മ ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു.

3. Nevertheless in those sacrifices is there mention(a rememberance) made of sins every year.

4. കാളകളുടെയും ആട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരുടെയും രക്തത്തിന്നു പാപങ്ങളെ നീക്കുവാന് കഴിയുന്നതല്ല.

4. For it is unpossible that the blood of oxen, and of goats should take away sins.

5. ആകയാല് ലോകത്തില് വരുമ്പോള്“ഹനനയാഗവും വഴിപാടും നീ ഇച്ഛിച്ചില്ല; എന്നാല് ഒരു ശരീരം നീ എനിക്കു ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith: Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not have: but a body hast thou ordained me,

6. സര്വ്വാംഗ ഹോമങ്ങളിലും പാപയാഗങ്ങളിലും നീ പ്രസാദിച്ചില്ല.

6. holocausts and sacrifice for sin thou hast not allowed.(In sacrifices and sinofferings thou hast no lust.)

7. അപ്പോള് ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞുഇതാ, ഞാന് വരുന്നു; പുസ്തകച്ചുരുളില് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്വാന് ഞാന് വരുന്നു” എന്നു അവന് പറയുന്നു.

7. Then I said: Lo I come; In the beginning of the book it is written of me,(In the chiefest of the book it is written of me,) that I should do thy will, o God.

8. ന്യായപ്രമാണപ്രകാരം കഴിച്ചുവരുന്ന യാഗങ്ങളും വഴിപാടും സര്വ്വാംഗഹോമങ്ങളും പാപയാഗങ്ങളും നീ ഇച്ഛിച്ചില്ല അവയില് പ്രസാദിച്ചതുമില്ല എന്നിങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞശേഷം

8. Above when he sayeth(had said) sacrifice, and offering, and holocausts,(burntsacrifices) and sacrifice for sin,(sinofferings) thou wouldest not have, neither hast allowed (which (yet) are offered by the law)

9. ഇതാ, ഞാന് നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്വാന് വരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു അവന് രണ്ടാമത്തേതിനെ സ്ഥാപിപ്പാന് ഒന്നാമത്തേതിനെ നീക്കിക്കളയുന്നു.

9. (And) then he said: Lo I am ready(come to) do thy will o God: he taketh away the first to stablish the latter.

10. ആ ഇഷ്ടത്തില് നാം യേശു ക്രിസ്തു ഒരിക്കലായി കഴിച്ച ശരീരയാഗത്താല് വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. By the which will we are sanctified, by the offering of the body of Jesu Christ once for all.

11. ഏതു പുരോഹിതനും ദിവസേന ശുശ്രൂഷിച്ചും പാപങ്ങളെ പരിഹരിപ്പാന് ഒരുനാളും കഴിയാത്ത അതേ യാഗങ്ങളെ കൂടക്കൂടെ കഴിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു നിലക്കുന്നു.

11. And every priest is ready daily ministering, and often times offereth one manner of offering, which can never take away sins:

12. but this man after he had offered one sacrifice for sins, (which is of value for ever) sat him down for ever on the right hand of God,

13. തന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള് തന്റെ പാദപീഠം ആകുവോളം കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. and from henceforth tarrieth till his foes be made his footstool.

14. ഏകയാഗത്താല് അവന് വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവര്ക്കും സദാകാലത്തേക്കും സല്ഗുണപൂര്ത്തി വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. For with one offering hath he made perfect for ever them that are sanctified.

15. അതു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവും നമുക്കു സാക്ഷീകരിക്കുന്നു.

15. And the holy ghost also beareth us record of this, even when he told(said) before:

16. “ഈ കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം ഞാന് അവരോടു ചെയ്വാനിരിക്കുന്ന നിയമം ഇങ്ങനെയാകുന്നുഎന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അവരുടെ ഉള്ളിലാക്കി അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളില് എഴുതും എന്നു കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു” എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തശേഷം

16. This is the testament that I will make unto them after those days saith the Lord. And I will put my laws in their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,

17. “അവരുടെ പാപങ്ങളെയും അകൃത്യങ്ങളെയും ഞാന് ഇനി ഔര്ക്കയുമില്ല” എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

17. and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

18. എന്നാല് ഇവയുടെ മോചനം ഉള്ളേടത്തു ഇനിമേല് പാപങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ഒരു യാഗവും ആവശ്യമില്ല.

18. And where remission of these things is, there is no more offering for sin.

19. അതുകൊണ്ടു സഹോദരന്മാരേ, യേശു തന്റെ ദേഹം എന്ന തിരശ്ശീലയില്കൂടി നമുക്കു പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ച ജീവനുള്ള പുതുവഴിയായി,

19. Seeing brethren that by the means of the blood of Jesu, we may be bold to enter(that we have a free sure intrance) into that holy place,

20. തന്റെ രക്തത്താല് വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിലേക്കുള്ള പ്രവേശനത്തിന്നു

20. by the new and living way, which he hath prepared for us, through the veil, that is to say by his flesh.

21. ധൈര്യ്യവും ദൈവാലയത്തിന്മേല് ഒരു മഹാപുരോഹിതനും നമുക്കുള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു

21. And seeing also that we have an high(hye) priest which is ruler over the house of God,

22. നാം ദുര്മ്മനസ്സാക്ഷി നീങ്ങുമാറു ഹൃദയങ്ങളില് തളിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരും ശുദ്ധവെള്ളത്താല് ശരീരം കഴുകപ്പെട്ടവരുമായി വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ പൂര്ണ്ണനിശ്ചയം പൂണ്ടു പരമാര്ത്ഥഹൃദയത്തോടെ അടുത്തു ചെല്ലുക.
യേഹേസ്കേൽ 36:25

22. let us draw nigh with a true heart in a full faith sprinkled in our hearts, from an evil conscience, and washed in our bodies with pure water,

23. പ്രത്യാശയുടെ സ്വീകാരം നാം മുറുകെ പിടിച്ചുകൊള്ക; വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തവന് വിശ്വസ്തനല്ലോ.

23. and let us keep the profession of our hope, without wavering (for he is faithful that promised)

24. ചിലര് ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ നമ്മുടെ സഭായോഗങ്ങളെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കാതെ തമ്മില് പ്രബോധിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു സ്നേഹത്തിന്നും സല്പ്രവൃത്തികള്ക്കും ഉത്സാഹം വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിപ്പാന് അന്യോന്യം സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ക. നാള് സമീപിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കാണുംതോറും അതു അധികമധികമായി ചെയ്യേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

24. and let us consider one another to provoke unto love,(the provoking of love) and to good works:

25. സത്യത്തിന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനം ലഭിച്ചശേഷം നാം മന:പൂര്വ്വം പാപം ചെയ്താല് പാപങ്ങള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി ഇനി ഒരു യാഗവും ശേഷിക്കാതെ

25. and let us not forsake the fellowship that we have among ourselves, as the manner of some is: but let us exhort one another, and that so much the more, because ye see that the day draweth nigh.

26. ന്യായവിധിക്കായി ഭയങ്കരമായോരു പ്രതീക്ഷയും എതിരികളെ ദഹിപ്പിപ്പാനുള്ള ക്രോധാഗ്നിയുമേയുള്ളു.

26. For if we sin willingly(willfully) after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins:

27. മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അനുസരിക്കാത്തവന്നു കരുണ കൂടാതെ രണ്ടു മൂന്നു സാക്ഷികളുടെ വാമൊഴികേട്ടു മരണശിക്ഷ കല്പിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
യെശയ്യാ 26:11

27. but a fearful looking for judgment, and violent fire, which shall devour the adversaries.

28. ദൈവപുത്രനെ ചവിട്ടികളകയും തന്നെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ച നിയമരക്തത്തെ മലിനം എന്നു നിരൂപിക്കയും കൃപയുടെ ആത്മാവിനെ നിന്ദിക്കയും ചെയ്തവന് എത്ര കഠിനമേറിയ ശിക്ഷെക്കു പാത്രമാകും എന്നു വിചാരിപ്പിന് .

28. He that despiseth Moses' law, dieth without mercy under two or three witnesses.

29. “പ്രതികാരം എനിക്കുള്ളതു, ഞാന് പകരം വീട്ടും” എന്നും “കര്ത്താവു തന്റെ ജനത്തെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കും” എന്നും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തവനെ നാം അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

29. Of how much sorer punishment suppose ye shall he be counted worthy, which treadeth under foot the son of God: and counteth the blood of the testament as an unholy thing, wherewith he was(is) sanctified, and doth dishonour to the spirit of grace.

30. ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കയ്യില് വീഴുന്നതു ഭയങ്കരം.
ആവർത്തനം 32:35-36, സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 135:14

30. For we know him that hath said, vengeance belongeth unto me,(Vengance is mine) I will recompense saith the Lord. And again: the Lord shall judge his people.

31. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് പ്രകാശനം ലഭിച്ചശേഷം നിന്ദകളാലും പീഡകളാലും കൂത്തുകാഴ്ചയായി ഭവിച്ചും

31. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32. ആ വക അനുഭവിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും കൂട്ടാളികളായിത്തീര്ന്നും ഇങ്ങനെ കഷ്ടങ്ങളാല് വളരെ പോരാട്ടം കഴിച്ച പൂര്വ്വകാലം ഔര്ത്തുകൊള്വിന് .

32. Call to remembrance the days that are passed in the which, after ye had received light, ye abode(endured) a great fight in adversities,

33. തടവുകാരോടു നിങ്ങള് സഹതാപം കാണിച്ചതല്ലാതെ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിലനിലക്കുന്ന ഉത്തമസമ്പത്തു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഉണ്ടു എന്നറിഞ്ഞു സമ്പത്തുകളുടെ അപഹാരവും സന്തോഷത്തോടെ സഹിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

33. partly while all men wondered and gazed at you for the shame and tribulation that was done unto you, and partly while ye became companions of them which so passed their time.

34. അതുകൊണ്ടു മഹാ പ്രതിഫലമുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ ധൈര്യം തള്ളിക്കളയരുതു.

34. For ye suffered also with my bonds, and took a(in) worth the spoiling of your goods, and that with gladness, remembering(knowing) in yourselves how that ye had in heaven a better, and an enduring substance.

35. ദൈവേഷ്ടം ചെയ്തു വാഗ്ദത്തം പ്രാപിപ്പാന് സഹിഷ്ണുത നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ആവശ്യം.

35. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great reward to recompense.(hath so great a reward)

36. “ഇനി എത്രയും അല്പകാലം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു വരുവാനുള്ളവന് വരും താമസിക്കയുമില്ല;”

36. For ye have need of patience, that after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

37. എന്നാല് “എന്റെ നീതിമാന് വിശ്വാസത്താല് ജീവിക്കും; പിന് മാറുന്നു എങ്കില് എന്റെ ഉള്ളത്തിന്നു അവനില് പ്രസാദമില്ല”.
ഹബക്കൂക്‍ 2:3-4

37. For yet a very(over a) little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry:

38. നാമോ നാശത്തിലേക്കു പിന്മാറുന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലല്ല, വിശ്വസിച്ചു ജീവരക്ഷ പ്രാപിക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലത്രേ ആകുന്നു.

38. But the just shall live by faith. And if he withdraw himself, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
