1. യിസ്രായേല്രാജാവായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ ഇരുപത്തേഴാം ആണ്ടില് യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ അമസ്യാവിന്റെ മകന് അസര്യ്യാവു രാജാവായി.

1. In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah began to reign.

2. അവന് വാഴ്ചതുടങ്ങിയപ്പോള് അവന്നു പതിനാറു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവന് അമ്പത്തിരണ്ടു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമില് വാണു; യെരൂശലേംകാരത്തിയായ അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു യെഖോല്യാ എന്നു പേര്.

2. He was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.

3. അവന് തന്റെ അപ്പനായ അമസ്യാവു ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും യഹോവേക്കു പ്രസാദമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു.

3. And he did that which was right in the eyes of LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done.

4. എങ്കിലും പൂജാഗിരികള്ക്കു നീക്കം വന്നില്ല; ജനംപൂജാഗിരികളില് യാഗം കഴിച്ചും ധൂപം കാട്ടിയും പോന്നു.

4. However the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places.

5. എന്നാല് യഹോവ ഈ രാജാവിനെ ബാധിച്ചു. അവന് ജീവപര്യന്തം കുഷ്ഠരോഗിയായി ഒരു പ്രത്യേകശാലയില് പാര്ത്തിരുന്നു; രാജകുമാരനായ യോഥാം രാജധാനിക്കു വിചാരകനായി ദേശത്തെ ജനത്തിന്നു ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്തു.

5. And LORD smote the king, so that he was a leper to the day of his death, and dwelt in a separate house. And Jotham the king's son was over the household, judging the people of the land.

6. അസര്യ്യാവിന്റെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവന് ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

6. Now the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

7. അസര്യ്യാവു തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; അവര് അവനെ ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തില് അവന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് അടക്കംചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ മകനായ യോഥാം അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.

7. And Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David. And Jotham his son reigned in his stead.

8. യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ അസര്യ്യാവിന്റെ മുപ്പത്തെട്ടാം ആണ്ടില് യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ മകനായ സെഖര്യ്യാവു യിസ്രായേലിന്നു രാജാവായി ശമര്യ്യയില് ആറു മാസം വാണു.

8. In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel in Samaria six months.

9. അവന് തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതുചെയ്തു; യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ടു പാപം ചെയ്യിച്ച നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ പാപങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുമാറിയില്ല.

9. And he did that which was evil in the sight of LORD, as his fathers had done. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.

10. യാബേശിന്റെ മകനായ ശല്ലൂം അവന്റെ നേരെ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി ജനത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില്വെച്ചു അവനെ വെട്ടിക്കൊന്നു അവന്നുപകരം രാജാവായി.

10. And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and killed him, and reigned in his stead.

11. സെഖര്യ്യാവിന്റെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങള് യിസ്രായേല്രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

11. Now the rest of the acts of Zechariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

12. യഹോവ യേഹൂവോടുനിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര് നാലാം തലമുറവരെ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിക്കും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം ഇതാകുന്നു; അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ സംഭവിച്ചു.

12. This was the word of LORD which he spoke to Jehu, saying, Thy sons to the fourth generation shall sit upon the throne of Israel. And so it came to pass.

13. യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ ഉസ്സീയാവിന്റെ മുപ്പത്തൊമ്പതാം ആണ്ടില് യാബേശിന്റെ മകനായ ശല്ലൂം രാജാവായി ശമര്യ്യയില് ഒരു മാസം വാണു.

13. Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigned the space of a month in Samaria.

14. എന്നാല് ഗാദിയുടെ മകനായ മെനഹേം തിസ്സയില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ശമര്യ്യയില് വന്നു, യാബേശിന്റെ മകനായ ശല്ലൂമിനെ ശമര്യ്യയില്വെച്ചു വെട്ടിക്കൊന്നു അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.

14. And Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and killed him, and reigned in his stead.

15. ശല്ലൂമിന്റെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവന് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടും യിസ്രായേല്രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

15. Now the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

16. മെനഹേം തിപ്സഹും അതിലുള്ള സകലവും തിര്സ്സാതൊട്ടു അതിന്നു ചേര്ന്ന പ്രദേശങ്ങളും ശൂന്യമാക്കി; അവര് പട്ടണവാതില് തുറന്നു കൊടുക്കായ്കയാല് അവന് അതിനെ ശൂന്യമാക്കുകയും അതിലെ ഗര്ഭിണികളെയൊക്കെയും പിളര്ന്നുകളകയും ചെയ്തു.

16. Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the borders of it, from Tirzah, because they did not open to him, therefore he smote it. And all the women in it who were with child he ripped up.

17. യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ അസര്യ്യാവിന്റെ മുപ്പത്തൊമ്പതാം ആണ്ടില് ഗാദിയുടെ മകന് മെനഹേം യിസ്രായേലിന്നു രാജാവായി ശമര്യ്യയില് പത്തു സംവത്സരം വാണു.

17. In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem the son of Gadi began to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.

18. അവന് യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു; യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ടു പാപം ചെയ്യിച്ച നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ പാപങ്ങളെ ജീവപര്യന്തം വിട്ടുമാറിയതുമില്ല.

18. And he did that which was evil in the sight of LORD. He did not depart all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.

19. അശ്ശൂര് രാജാവായ പൂല് ദേശത്തെ ആക്രമിച്ചു; പൂല് തന്നെ സഹായിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും രാജത്വം തനിക്കു ഉറക്കേണ്ടതിന്നുമായി മെനഹേം അവന്നു ആയിരം താലന്തു വെള്ളികൊടുത്തു.

19. The king of Assyria came against the land Pul. And Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

20. അശ്ശൂര് രാജാവിന്നു കൊടുപ്പാന് മെനഹേം ഈ ദ്രവ്യം യിസ്രായേലിലെ ധനവാന്മാരോടൊക്കെയും അമ്പതു ശേക്കെല് വെള്ളിവീതം പിരിപ്പിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ അശ്ശൂര്രാജാവു ദേശത്തു താമസിക്കാതെ മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

20. And Menahem exacted the money from Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and did not stay there in the land.

21. മെനഹേമിന്റെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവന് ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും യിസ്രായേല്രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

21. Now the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

22. മെനഹേം തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; അവന്റെ മകനായ പെക്കഹ്യാവു അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.

22. And Menahem slept with his fathers, and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.

23. യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ അസര്യ്യാവിന്റെ അമ്പതാം ആണ്ടില് മെനഹേമിന്റെ മകനായ പെക്കഹ്യാവു യിസ്രായേലിന്നു രാജാവായി ശമര്യ്യയില് രണ്ടു സംവത്സരം വാണു.

23. In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.

24. അവന് യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു; യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ടു പാപം ചെയ്യിച്ച നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ പാപങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുമാറിയതുമില്ല.

24. And he did that which was evil in the sight of LORD. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.

25. എന്നാല് അവന്റെ അകമ്പടിനായകനായി രെമല്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ പേക്കഫ് അവന്റെ നേരെ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി, ഗിലെയാദ്യരില് അമ്പതുപേരെ തുണകൂട്ടി ശമര്യ്യാരാജധാനിയുടെ കോട്ടയില്വെച്ചു അവനെ അര്ഗ്ഗോബിനോടും അര്യ്യേയോടുംകൂടെ വെട്ടിക്കൊന്നു അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.

25. And Pekah the son of Remaliah, his captain, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the castle of the king's house, with Argob and Arieh. And fifty men of the Gileadites with him were there. And he killed him, and reigned in his stead.

26. പെക്കഹ്യാവിന്റെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവന് ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും യിസ്രായേല്രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

26. Now the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

27. യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ അസര്യ്യാവിന്റെ അമ്പത്തിരണ്ടാം ആണ്ടില് രെമല്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ പേക്കഹ് യിസ്രായേലിന്നു രാജാവായി ശമര്യ്യയില് ഇരുപതു സംവത്സരം വാണു.

27. In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.

28. അവന് യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു, യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ടു പാപം ചെയ്യിച്ച നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ പാപങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുമാറിയതുമില്ല.

28. And he did that which was evil in the sight of LORD. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.

29. യിസ്രായേല്രാജാവായ പേക്കഹിന്റെ കാലത്തു അശ്ശൂര്രാജാവായ തിഗ്ളത്ത്-പിലേസര് വന്നു ഈയോനും ആബേല്-ബേത്ത്-മയഖയും യാനോവഹും കേദെശൂം ഹാസോരും ഗിലെയാദും ഗെലീലയും നഫ്താലിദേശം മുഴുവനും പിടിച്ചു നിവാസികളെ ബദ്ധരാക്കി അശ്ശൂരിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

29. In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria came, and took Ijon, and Abel-beth-maacah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali. And he carried them captive to Assyria.

30. And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and killed him, and reigned in his stead in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.

31. പേക്കഹിന്റെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവന് ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും യിസ്രായേല്രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

31. Now the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

32. യിസ്രായേല്രാജാവായ രെമല്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ പേക്കഹിന്റെ രണ്ടാം ആണ്ടില് യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ ഉസ്സീയാവിന്റെ മകന് യോഥാം രാജാവായി.

32. In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel, Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah began to reign.

33. അവന് വാഴ്ചതുടങ്ങിയപ്പോള് അവന്നു ഇരുപത്തഞ്ചു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവന് യെരൂശലേമില് പതിനാറു സംവത്സരം വാണു; അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു യെരൂശാ എന്നു പേര്; അവള് സാദോക്കിന്റെ മകള് ആയിരുന്നു.

33. He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jerusha the daughter of Zadok.

34. അവന് യഹോവേക്കു പ്രസാദമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു; തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ഉസ്സീയാവു ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്തു.

34. And he did that which was right in the eyes of LORD. He did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.

35. എങ്കിലും പൂജാഗിരികള്ക്കു നീക്കം വന്നില്ല; ജനം പൂജാഗിരികളില് യാഗം കഴിച്ചും ധൂപം കാട്ടിയും പോന്നു; അവന് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ മേലത്തെ വാതില് പണിതു.

35. However the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and burned incense in the high places. He built the upper gate of the house of LORD.

36. യോഥാമിന്റെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവന് ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

36. Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

37. ആ കാലത്തു യഹോവ അരാംരാജാവായ രെസീനെയും രെമല്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ പേക്കഹിനെയും യെഹൂദെക്കു നേരെ അയച്ചുതുടങ്ങി.

37. In those days LORD began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.

38. യോഥാം തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്ര പ്രാപിച്ചു; അവന്റെ പിതാവായ ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തില് അവന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് അവനെ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ മകനായ ആഹാസ് അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.

38. And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father. And Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
