1. അഞ്ചാം പുസ്തകം

1. O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is gracious and his mercy endureth for ever.

2. യഹോവേക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്വിന് ; അവന് നല്ലവനല്ലോ അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ളതു!

2. Let them give thanks whom the LORD hath redeemed, and delivered from the hand of the enemy.

3. യഹോവ വൈരിയുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു വീണ്ടെടുക്കയും കിഴക്കും പടിഞ്ഞാറും വടക്കും കടലിലും ഉള്ള
മത്തായി 8:11, ലൂക്കോസ് 13:29

3. And gathered them out of the lands, from the East, from the West, from the North and from the South.

4. ദേശങ്ങളില്നിന്നു കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ക്കയും ചെയ്തവരായ അവന്റെ വിമുക്തന്മാര് അങ്ങനെ പറയട്ടെ.

4. They went astray in the wilderness in an untrodden way, and found no city to dwell in.

5. അവര് മരുഭൂമിയില് ജനസഞ്ചാരമില്ലാത്ത വഴിയില് ഉഴന്നുനടന്നു; പാര്പ്പാന് ഒരു പട്ടണവും അവര് കണ്ടെത്തിയില്ല.

5. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

6. അവര് വിശന്നും ദാഹിച്ചും ഇരുന്നു; അവരുടെ പ്രാണന് അവരുടെ ഉള്ളില് തളര്ന്നു.

6. So they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.

7. അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയില് യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന് അവരെ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളില് നിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു.

7. He led them forth by the right way, that they might go to the city where they dwelt.

8. അവര് പാര്പ്പാന് തക്ക പട്ടണത്തില് ചെല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് അവരെ ചൊവ്വെയുള്ള വഴിയില് നടത്തി.

8. O that men would praise the goodness of the LORD, and the wonders that he doth for the children of men.

9. അവര് യഹോവയെ അവന്റെ നന്മയെ ചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരില് ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.

9. For he satisfied the empty soul, and filled the hungry soul with good.

10. അവന് ആര്ത്തിയുള്ളവന്നു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തുകയും വിശപ്പുള്ളവനെ നന്മകൊണ്ടു നിറെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

10. Such as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being fast bound in misery and iron.

11. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളോടു മത്സരിക്കയും അത്യുന്നതന്റെ ആലോചനയെ നിരസിക്കയും ചെയ്തിട്ടു ഇരുളിലും അന്ധതമസ്സിലും ഇരുന്നു

11. Because they were not obedient to the commandments of God, but lightly regarded the counsel of the most highest.

12. അരിഷ്ടതയാലും ഇരുമ്പുചങ്ങലയാലും ബന്ധിക്കപ്പെട്ടവര് -

12. Their heart was vexed with labor, they fell down, and there was none to help them.

13. അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അവന് കഷ്ടതകൊണ്ടു താഴ്ത്തി; അവര് ഇടറിവീണു; സഹായിപ്പാന് ആരുമുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

13. So they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distress.

14. അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയില് യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന് അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളില്നിന്നു അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.

14. He brought them out of darkness and out of the shadow of death, and brake their bonds in sunder.

15. അവന് അവരെ ഇരുട്ടില്നിന്നും അന്ധതമസ്സില്നിന്നും പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു; അവരുടെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളെ അറുത്തുകളഞ്ഞു.

15. O that men would praise the goodness of the LORD, and the wonders that he doth for the children of men.

16. അവര് യഹോവയെ, അവന്റെ നന്മയെ ചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരില് ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.

16. For he hath broken the gates of brass, and smitten the bars of Iron in sunder.

17. അവന് താമ്രകതകുകളെ തകര്ത്തു, ഇരിമ്പോടാമ്പലുകളെ മുറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

17. Foolish men were plagued for their offense, and because of their wickedness.

18. ഭോഷന്മാര് തങ്ങളുടെ ലംഘനങ്ങള് ഹേതുവായും തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങള്നിമിത്തവും കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു.

18. Their soul abhorred all manner of meat, they were even hard at death's door.

19. അവര്ക്കും സകലവിധ ഭക്ഷണത്തോടും വെറുപ്പുതോന്നി; അവര് മരണവാതിലുകളോടു സമീപിച്ചിരുന്നു.

19. So they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distress.

20. അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയില് യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന് അവരെ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളില്നിന്നു രക്ഷിച്ചു.

20. He sent his word and healed them, and saved them from destruction.

21. അവന് തന്റെ വചനത്തെ അയച്ചു അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി; അവരുടെ കുഴികളില്നിന്നു അവരെ വിടുവിച്ചു.

21. O that men would praise the goodness of the LORD, and the wonders that he doth for the children of men.

22. അവര് യഹോവയെ അവന്റെ നന്മയെചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരില് ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.

22. That they would offer unto him the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and tell out his works with gladness.

23. അവര് സ്തോത്രയാഗങ്ങളെ കഴിക്കയും സംഗീതത്തോടുകൂടെ അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ വര്ണ്ണിക്കയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.

23. They that go down to the sea in ships, and occupy their business in great waters.

24. കപ്പല് കയറി സമുദ്രത്തില് ഔടിയവര്, പെരുവെള്ളങ്ങളില് വ്യാപാരം ചെയ്തവര്,

24. These men see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.

25. അവര് യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെയും ആഴിയില് അവന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെയും കണ്ടു.

25. For at his word, the stormy wind ariseth, and lifteth up the waves thereof.

26. അവന് കല്പിച്ചു കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു അടിപ്പിച്ചു, അതു അതിലെ തിരകളെ പൊങ്ങുമാറാക്കി.

26. They are carried up to the heaven, and down again to the deep, their soul melteth away in the trouble.

27. അവര് ആകാശത്തിലേക്കു ഉയര്ന്നു, വീണ്ടും ആഴത്തിലേക്കു താണു, അവരുടെ പ്രാണന് കഷ്ടത്താല് ഉരുകിപ്പോയി.

27. They reel to and fro, they stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end.

28. അവര് മത്തനെപ്പോലെ തുള്ളി ചാഞ്ചാടിനടന്നു; അവരുടെ ബുദ്ധി പൊയ്പോയിരുന്നു.

28. So they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivereth them out of their distress.

29. അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയില് യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന് അവരെ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളില് നിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു.

29. He maketh the storm to cease, so that the waves are still.

30. അവന് കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിനെ ശാന്തമാക്കി; തിരമാലകള് അടങ്ങി.

30. Then are they glad because they be at rest, and so he bringeth them unto the haven where they would be.

31. ശാന്തത വന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് സന്തോഷിച്ചു; അവര് ആഗ്രഹിച്ച തുറമുഖത്തു അവന് അവരെ എത്തിച്ചു.

31. O that men would praise the goodness of the LORD, and the wonders that he doth for the children of men.

32. അവര് യഹോവയെ അവന്റെ നന്മയെ ചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരില് ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.

32. That they would exalt him in the congregation of the people, and love him in the seat of the elders.

33. അവര് ജനത്തിന്റെ സഭയില് അവനെ പുകഴ്ത്തുകയും മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ സംഘത്തില് അവനെ സ്തുതിക്കയും ചെയ്യട്ടേ.

33. Which turneth floods into dry land, and dryeth up the water springs.

34. നിവാസികളുടെ ദുഷ്ടതനിമിത്തം അവന് നദികളെ മരുഭൂമിയും

34. A fruitful land maketh he barren, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

35. നീരുറവുകളെ വരണ്ട നിലവും ഫലപ്രദമായ ഭൂമിയെ ഉവര്ന്നിലവും ആക്കി.

35. Again, he maketh the wilderness a standing water, and water springs of a dry ground.

36. അവന് മരുഭൂമിയെ ജലതടാകവും വരണ്ട നിലത്തെ നീരുറവുകളും ആക്കി.

36. There he setteth the hungry, that they may build them a city to dwell in.

37. വിശന്നവരെ അവന് അവിടെ പാര്പ്പിച്ചു; അവര് പാര്പ്പാന് പട്ടണം ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും നിലം വിതെക്കയും

37. That they may sow their ground, plant vineyards, to yield the fruits of increase.

38. മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നട്ടുണ്ടാക്കുകയും നമൃദ്ധിയായി ഫലങ്ങളെ അനുഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

38. He blesseth them, so that they multiply exceedingly, and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.

39. അവന് അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടു അവര് അത്യന്തം പെരുകി; അവരുടെ കന്നുകാലികള് കുറഞ്ഞുപോകുവാന് അവന് ഇടവരുത്തിയില്ല.

39. When they are minished and brought low thorow oppression, thorow any plague or trouble.

40. പീഡനവും കഷ്ടതയും സങ്കടവും ഹേതുവായി അവര് പിന്നെയും കുറഞ്ഞു താണുപോയി.

40. Though he suffer them to be evil intreated thorow tyrants, or let them wander out of the way in the wilderness.

41. അവന് പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെമേല് നിന്ദപകരുകയും വഴിയില്ലാത്ത ശൂന്യപ്രദേശത്തു അവരെ ഉഴലുമാറാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

41. Yet helpeth he the poor out of misery, (at the last) and maketh him an household like a flock of sheep.

42. അവന് ദരിദ്രനെ പീഡയില്നിന്നു ഉയര്ത്തി അവന്റെ കുലങ്ങളെ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടംപോലെ ആക്കി.

42. The righteous will consider this and rejoice, the mouth of all wickedness shall be stopped.

43. നേരുള്ളവര് ഇതു കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിക്കും; നീതികെട്ടവര് ഒക്കെയും വായ്പൊത്തും.

43. Who so is wise, and pondereth these things well, shall understand the loving-kindness of the LORD.
