1. എന്റെ ബലമായ യഹോവേ, ഞാന് നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

1. To the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David the servant of the Lord, who spoke the words of this song to the Lord on the day when the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. And he said: I LOVE You fervently and devotedly, O Lord, my Strength.

2. യഹോവ എന്റെ ശൈലവും എന്റെ കോട്ടയും എന്റെ രക്ഷകനും എന്റെ ദൈവവും ഞാന് ശരണമാക്കുന്ന എന്റെ പാറയും എന്റെ പരിചയും എന്റെ രക്ഷയായ കൊമ്പും എന്റെ ഗോപുരവും ആകുന്നു.

2. The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer; my God, my keen and firm Strength in Whom I will trust and take refuge, my Shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my High Tower. [Heb. 2:13.]

3. സ്തൂത്യനായ യഹോവയെ ഞാന് വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കയും എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു രക്ഷപ്രാപിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

3. I will call upon the Lord, Who is to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies. [Rev. 5:12.]

4. The cords or bands of death surrounded me, and the streams of ungodliness and the torrents of ruin terrified me.

5. പാതാളപാശങ്ങള് എന്നെ വളഞ്ഞു; മരണത്തിന്റെ കണികളും എന്നെ തുടര്ന്നു പിടിച്ചു.

5. The cords of Sheol (the place of the dead) surrounded me; the snares of death confronted and came upon me.

6. എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയില് ഞാന് യഹോവയെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചു, എന്റെ ദൈവത്തോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന് തന്റെ മന്ദിരത്തില്നിന്നു എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടു; തിരുമുമ്പില് ഞാന് കഴിച്ച പ്രാര്ത്ഥന അവന്റെ ചെവിയില് എത്തി.

6. In my distress [when seemingly closed in] I called upon the Lord and cried to my God; He heard my voice out of His temple (heavenly dwelling place), and my cry came before Him, into His [very] ears.

7. ഭൂമി ഞെട്ടിവിറെച്ചു; മലകളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങള് ഇളകി; അവന് കോപിക്കയാല് അവകുലുങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

7. Then the earth quaked and rocked, the foundations also of the mountains trembled; they moved and were shaken because He was indignant and angry.

8. അവന്റെ മൂക്കില്നിന്നു പുക പൊങ്ങി; അവന്റെ വായില്നിന്നു തീ പുറപ്പെട്ടു ദഹിപ്പിച്ചു. തീക്കനല് അവങ്കല്നിന്നു ജ്വലിച്ചു.

8. There went up smoke from His nostrils; and lightning out of His mouth devoured; coals were kindled by it.

9. അവന് ആകാശം ചായിച്ചിറങ്ങി; കൂരിരുള് അവന്റെ കാല്ക്കീഴുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

9. He bowed the heavens also and came down; and thick darkness was under His feet.

10. അവന് കെരൂബിനെ വാഹനമാക്കി പറന്നു; അവന് കാറ്റിന്റെ ചിറകിന്മേലിരുന്നു പറപ്പിച്ചു.

10. And He rode upon a cherub [a storm] and flew [swiftly]; yes, He sped on with the wings of the wind.

11. അവന് അന്ധകാരത്തെ തന്റെ മറവും ജലതമസ്സിനെയും ആകാശമേഘങ്ങളെയും തനിക്കു ചുറ്റും കൂടാരവുമാക്കി.

11. He made darkness His secret hiding place; as His pavilion (His canopy) round about Him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.

12. അവന്റെ മുമ്പിലുള്ള പ്രകാശത്താല് ആലിപ്പഴവും തീക്കനലും അവന്റെ മേഘങ്ങളില്കൂടി പൊഴിഞ്ഞു.

12. Out of the brightness before Him there broke forth through His thick clouds hailstones and coals of fire.

13. യഹോവ ആകാശത്തില് ഇടി മുഴക്കി, അത്യുന്നതന് തന്റെ നാദം കേള്പ്പിച്ചു, ആലിപ്പഴവും തീക്കനലും പൊഴിഞ്ഞു.

13. The Lord also thundered from the heavens, and the Most High uttered His voice, amid hailstones and coals of fire.

14. അവന് അസ്ത്രം എയ്തു അവരെ ചിതറിച്ചു; മിന്നല് അയച്ചു അവരെ തോല്പിച്ചു.

14. And He sent out His arrows and scattered them; and He flashed forth lightnings and put them to rout.

15. യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ ഭര്ത്സനത്താലും നിന്റെ മൂക്കിലെ ശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ ഊത്തിനാലും നീര്ത്തോടുകള് കാണായ്വന്നു ഭൂതലത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങള് വെളിപ്പെട്ടു.

15. Then the beds of the sea appeared and the foundations of the world were laid bare at Your rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.

16. അവന് ഉയരത്തില്നിന്നു കൈ നീട്ടി എന്നെ പിടിച്ചു, പെരുവെള്ളത്തില്നിന്നു എന്നെ വലിച്ചെടുത്തു

16. He reached from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters.

17. ബലമുള്ള ശത്രുവിന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നും എന്നെ പകെച്ചവരുടെ പക്കല്നിന്നും അവന് എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു; അവര് എന്നിലും ബലമേറിയവരായിരുന്നു.

17. He delivered me from my strong enemy and from those who hated and abhorred me, for they were too strong for me.

18. എന്റെ അനര്ത്ഥദിവസത്തില് അവര് എന്നെ ആക്രമിച്ചു; എന്നാല് യഹോവ എനിക്കു തുണയായിരുന്നു.

18. They confronted and came upon me in the day of my calamity, but the Lord was my stay and support.

19. അവന് എന്നെ വിശാലതയിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; എന്നില് പ്രസാദിച്ചിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു.

19. He brought me forth also into a large place; He was delivering me because He was pleased with me and delighted in me.

20. യഹോവ എന്റെ നീതിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം എനിക്കു പ്രതിഫലം നല്കി; എന്റെ കൈകളുടെ വെടിപ്പിന്നൊത്തവണ്ണം എനിക്കു പകരം തന്നു.

20. The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness (my conscious integrity and sincerity with Him); according to the cleanness of my hands has He recompensed me.

21. ഞാന് യഹോവയുടെ വഴികളെ പ്രമാണിച്ചു; എന്റെ ദൈവത്തോടു ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തതുമില്ല.

21. For I have kept the ways of the Lord and have not wickedly departed from my God.

22. അവന്റെ വിധികള് ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഉണ്ടു; അവന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ ഞാന് വിട്ടുനടന്നിട്ടുമില്ല.

22. For all His ordinances were before me, and I put not away His statutes from me.

23. ഞാന് അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിഷ്കളങ്കനായിരുന്നു; അകൃത്യം ചെയ്യാതെ എന്നെത്തന്നേ കാത്തു.

23. I was upright before Him and blameless with Him, ever [on guard] to keep myself free from my sin and guilt.

24. യഹോവ എന്റെ നീതിപ്രകാരവും അവന്റെ കാഴ്ചയില് എന്റെ കൈകള്ക്കുള്ള വെടിപ്പിന് പ്രകാരവും എനിക്കു പകരം നല്കി.

24. Therefore has the Lord recompensed me according to my righteousness (my uprightness and right standing with Him), according to the cleanness of my hands in His sight.

25. ദയാലുവോടു നീ ദയാലു ആകുന്നു; നഷ്കളങ്കനോടു നീ നിഷ്കളങ്കന് ;

25. With the kind and merciful You will show Yourself kind and merciful, with an upright man You will show Yourself upright,

26. നിര്മ്മലനോടു നീ നിര്മ്മലനാകുന്നു; വക്രനോടു നീ വക്രത കാണിക്കുന്നു.

26. With the pure You will show Yourself pure, and with the perverse You will show Yourself contrary.

27. എളിയജനത്തെ നീ രക്ഷിക്കും; നിഗളിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നവരെ നീ താഴ്ത്തും.

27. For You deliver an afflicted and humble people but will bring down those with haughty looks.

28. നീ എന്റെ ദീപത്തെ കത്തിക്കും; എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്റെ അന്ധകാരത്തെ പ്രകാശമാക്കും.

28. For You cause my lamp to be lighted and to shine; the Lord my God illumines my darkness.

29. നിന്നാല് ഞാന് പടക്കൂട്ടത്തിന്റെ നേരെ പാഞ്ഞുചെല്ലും; എന്റെ ദൈവത്താല് ഞാന് മതില് ചാടിക്കടക്കും.

29. For by You I can run through a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall.

30. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വഴി തികവുള്ളതു; യഹോവയുടെ വചനം ഊതിക്കഴിച്ചതു; തന്നെ ശരണമാക്കുന്ന ഏവര്ക്കും അവന് പരിചയാകുന്നു.

30. As for God, His way is perfect! The word of the Lord is tested and tried; He is a shield to all those who take refuge and put their trust in Him.

31. യഹോവയല്ലാതെ ദൈവം ആരുള്ളു? നമ്മുടെ ദൈവം ഒഴികെ പാറയാരുള്ളു?

31. For who is God except the Lord? Or who is the Rock save our God,

32. എന്നെ ശക്തികൊണ്ടു അരമുറുക്കുകയും എന്റെ വഴി കുറവുതീര്ക്കുംകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ദൈവം തന്നേ.

32. The God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect?

33. അവന് എന്റെ കാലുകളെ മാന് പേടക്കാലക്കു തുല്യമാക്കി, എന്റെ ഗിരികളില് എന്നെ നിലക്കുമാറാക്കുന്നു.

33. He makes my feet like hinds' feet [able to stand firmly or make progress on the dangerous heights of testing and trouble]; He sets me securely upon my high places.

34. അവന് എന്റെ കൈകള്ക്കു യുദ്ധാഭ്യാസം വരുത്തുന്നു; എന്റെ ഭുജങ്ങള് താമ്രചാപം കുലെക്കുന്നു.

34. He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

35. നിന്റെ രക്ഷ എന്ന പരിചയെ നീ എനിക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ വലങ്കൈ എന്നെ താങ്ങി നിന്റെ സൌമ്യത എന്നെ വലിയവനാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

35. You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, and Your right hand has held me up; Your gentleness and condescension have made me great.

36. ഞാന് കാലടി വെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ വിശാലതവരുത്തി; എന്റെ നരിയാണികള് വഴുതിപ്പോയതുമില്ല.

36. You have given plenty of room for my steps under me, that my feet would not slip.

37. ഞാന് എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ പിന്തുടര്ന്നു പിടിച്ചു; അവരെ മുടിക്കുവോളം ഞാന് പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞില്ല.

37. I pursued my enemies and overtook them; neither did I turn again till they were consumed.

38. അവര്ക്കും എഴുന്നേറ്റുകൂടാതവണ്ണം ഞാന് അവരെ തകര്ത്തു; അവര് എന്റെ കാല്കീഴില് വീണിരിക്കുന്നു.

38. I smote them so that they were not able to rise; they fell wounded under my feet.

39. യുദ്ധത്തിന്നായി നീ എന്റെ അരെക്കു ശക്തി കെട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നോടു എതിര്ത്തവരെ എനിക്കു കീഴടക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

39. For You have girded me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me and caused to bow down those who rose up against me.

40. എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാന് സംഹരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ എനിക്കു പുറംകാട്ടുമാറാക്കി.

40. You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, that I might cut off those who hate me.

41. അവര് നിലവിളിച്ചു; രക്ഷിപ്പാന് ആരുമുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല; യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന് ഉത്തരമരുളിയതുമില്ല.

41. They cried [for help], but there was none to deliver--even unto the Lord, but He answered them not.

42. ഞാന് അവരെ കാറ്റത്തെ പൊടിപോലെ പൊടിച്ചു; വീഥികളിലെ ചെളിയെപ്പോലെ ഞാന് അവരെ കോരിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

42. Then I beat them small as the dust before the wind; I emptied them out as the dirt and mire of the streets.

43. ജനത്തിന്റെ കലഹങ്ങളില്നിന്നു നീ എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു; ജാതികള്ക്കു എന്നെ തലവനാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് അറിയാത്ത ജനം എന്നെ സേവിക്കുന്നു.

43. You have delivered me from the strivings of the people; You made me the head of the nations; a people I had not known served me.

44. അവര് കേള്ക്കുമ്പോള് തന്നേ എന്നെ അനുസരിക്കും; അന്യജാതിക്കാര് എന്നോടു അനുസരണഭാവം കാണിക്കും.

44. As soon as they heard of me, they obeyed me; foreigners submitted themselves cringingly and yielded feigned obedience to me.

45. അന്യജാതിക്കാര് ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ ദുര്ഗ്ഗങ്ങളില്നിന്നു അവര് വിറെച്ചും കൊണ്ടു വരുന്നു.

45. Foreigners lost heart and came trembling out of their caves or strongholds.

46. യഹോവ ജീവിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ പാറ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന് ; എന്റെ രക്ഷയുടെ ദൈവം ഉന്നതന് തന്നേ.

46. The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted,

47. ദൈവം എനിക്കു വേണ്ടി പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്കയും ജാതികളെ എനിക്കു കീഴാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

47. The God Who avenges me and subdues peoples under me,

48. അവന് ശത്രുവശത്തുനിന്നു എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നു; എന്നോടു എതിര്ക്കുംന്നവര്ക്കും മീതെ നീ എന്നെ ഉയര്ത്തുന്നു; സാഹസക്കാരന്റെ കയ്യില് നിന്നു നീ എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നു.

48. Who delivers me from my enemies; yes, You lift me up above those who rise up against me; You deliver me from the man of violence.

49. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവേ, ഞാന് ജാതികളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ നിനക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യും; നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ ഞാന് കീര്ത്തിക്കും.

49. Therefore will I give thanks and extol You, O Lord, among the nations, and sing praises to Your name. [Rom. 15:9.]

50. അവന് തന്റെ രാജാവിന്നു മഹാരക്ഷ നലകുന്നു; തന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്നു ദയ കാണിക്കുന്നു; ദാവീദിന്നും അവന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും എന്നേക്കും തന്നേ.

50. Great deliverances and triumphs gives He to His king; and He shows mercy and steadfast love to His anointed, to David and his offspring forever. [II Sam. 22:2-51.]
