1. യഹോവേ, എന്നോടു വാദിക്കുന്നവരോടു വാദിക്കേണമേ; എന്നോടു പൊരുതുന്നവരോടു പെരുതേണമേ.

1. A Psalm of David. Plead [my cause,] O LORD, with those who strive with me; Fight against those who fight against me.

2. നീ പലകയും പരിചയും പിടിച്ചു എനിക്കു സഹായത്തിന്നായി എഴുന്നേല്ക്കേണമേ.

2. Take hold of shield and buckler, And stand up for my help.

3. നീ കുന്തം ഊരി എന്നെ പിന്തുടരുന്നവരുടെ വഴി അടെച്ചുകളയേണമേ; ഞാന് നിന്റെ രക്ഷയാകുന്നു എന്നു എന്റെ പ്രാണനോടു പറയേണമേ.

3. Also draw out the spear, And stop those who pursue me. Say to my soul, 'I [am] your salvation.'

4. എനിക്കു ജീവഹാനി വരുത്തുവാന് നോക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും ലജ്ജയും അപമാനവും വരട്ടെ; എനിക്കു അനര്ത്ഥം ചിന്തിക്കുന്നവര് പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു നാണിച്ചു പോകട്ടെ.

4. Let those be put to shame and brought to dishonor Who seek after my life; Let those be turned back and brought to confusion Who plot my hurt.

5. അവര് കാറ്റിന്നു മുമ്പിലെ പതിര്പോലെ ആകട്ടെ; യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതന് അവരെ ഔടിക്കട്ടെ.

5. Let them be like chaff before the wind, And let the angel of the LORD chase [them.]

6. അവരുടെ വഴി ഇരുട്ടും വഴുവഴുപ്പും ആകട്ടെ; യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതന് അവരെ പിന്തുടരട്ടെ.

6. Let their way be dark and slippery, And let the angel of the LORD pursue them.

7. കാരണം കൂടാതെ അവര് എനിക്കായി വല ഒളിച്ചുവെച്ചു; കാരണം കൂടാതെ അവര് എന്റെ പ്രാണന്നായി കുഴി കുഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. For without cause they have hidden their net for me [in] a pit, [Which] they have dug without cause for my life.

8. അവന് വിചാരിയാതെ അവന്നു അപായം ഭവിക്കട്ടെ; അവന് ഒളിച്ചുവെച്ച വലയില് അവന് തന്നേ കുടുങ്ങട്ടെ; അവന് അപായത്തില് അകപ്പെട്ടുപോകട്ടെ.

8. Let destruction come upon him unexpectedly, And let his net that he has hidden catch himself; Into that very destruction let him fall.

9. എന്റെ ഉള്ളം യഹോവയില് ആനന്ദിക്കും; അവന്റെ രക്ഷയില് സന്തോഷിക്കും;

9. And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD; It shall rejoice in His salvation.

10. യഹോവേ, നിനക്കു തുല്യന് ആര്? എളിയവനെ തന്നിലും ബലമേറിയവന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നും എളിയവനും ദരിദ്രനുമായവനെ കവര്ച്ചക്കാരന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നും നീ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു എന്റെ അസ്ഥികള് ഒക്കെയും പറയും.

10. All my bones shall say, 'LORD, who [is] like You, Delivering the poor from him who is too strong for him, Yes, the poor and the needy from him who plunders him?'

11. കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷികള് എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഞാന് അറിയാത്ത കാര്യം എന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുന്നു.

11. Fierce witnesses rise up; They ask me [things] that I do not know.

12. അവര് എനിക്കു നന്മെക്കു പകരം തിന്മചെയ്തു എന്റെ പ്രാണന്നു അനാഥത്വം വരുത്തുന്നു.

12. They reward me evil for good, [To] the sorrow of my soul.

13. ഞാനോ, അവര് ദീനമായ്ക്കിടന്നപ്പോള് രട്ടുടുത്തു; ഉപവാസംകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് ആത്മതപനം ചെയ്തു; എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന എന്റെ മാര്വ്വിടത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നു.

13. But as for me, when they were sick, My clothing [was] sackcloth; I humbled myself with fasting; And my prayer would return to my own heart.

14. അവന് എനിക്കു സ്നേഹിതനോ സഹോദരനോ എന്നപോലെ ഞാന് പെരുമാറി; അമ്മയെക്കുറിച്ചു ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നവനെപ്പോലെ ഞാന് ദുഃഖിച്ചു കുനിഞ്ഞുനടന്നു.

14. I paced about as though [he were] my friend [or] brother; I bowed down heavily, as one who mourns [for his] mother.

15. അവരോ എന്റെ വീഴ്ചയിങ്കല് സന്തോഷിച്ചു കൂട്ടംകൂടി; ഞാന് അറിയാത്ത അധമന്മാര് എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി കൂടിവന്നു. അവര് ഇടവിടാതെ എന്നെ പഴിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു.

15. But in my adversity they rejoiced And gathered together; Attackers gathered against me, And I did not know [it;] They tore [at me] and did not cease;

16. അടിയന്തരങ്ങളില് കോമാളികളായ വഷളന്മാരെപ്പോലെ അവര് എന്റെ നേരെ പല്ലു കടിക്കുന്നു.

16. With ungodly mockers at feasts They gnashed at me with their teeth.

17. കര്ത്താവേ, നീ എത്രത്തോളം നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും? അവരുടെ നാശത്തില്നിന്നു എന്റെ പ്രാണനെയും ബാലസിംഹങ്ങളുടെ വശത്തുനിന്നു എന്റെ ജിവനെയും വിടുവിക്കേണമേ.

17. Lord, how long will You look on? Rescue me from their destructions, My precious [life] from the lions.

18. ഞാന് മഹാസഭയില് നിനക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യും; ബഹുജനത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ നിന്നെ സ്തുതിക്കും.

18. I will give You thanks in the great assembly; I will praise You among many people.

19. വെറുതെ എനിക്കു ശത്രുക്കളായവര് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ; കാരണംകൂടാതെ എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവര് കണ്ണിമെക്കയുമരുതേ.
യോഹന്നാൻ 15:25

19. Let them not rejoice over me who are wrongfully my enemies; Nor let them wink with the eye who hate me without a cause.

20. അവര് സമാധാനവാക്കു സംസാരിക്കാതെ ദേശത്തിലെ സാധുക്കളുടെ നേരെ വ്യാജകാര്യങ്ങളെ നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു.

20. For they do not speak peace, But they devise deceitful matters Against [the] quiet ones in the land.

21. അവര് എന്റെ നേരെ വായ്പിളര്ന്നുനന്നായി, ഞങ്ങള് സ്വന്തകണ്ണാല് കണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

21. They also opened their mouth wide against me, [And] said, 'Aha, aha! Our eyes have seen [it.']

22. യഹോവേ, നീ കണ്ടുവല്ലോ; മൌനമായിരിക്കരുതേ; കര്ത്താവേ, എന്നോടകന്നിരിക്കരുതേ,

22. [This] You have seen, O LORD; Do not keep silence. O Lord, do not be far from me.

23. എന്റെ ദൈവവും എന്റെ കര്ത്താവുമായുള്ളോവേ, ഉണര്ന്നു എന്റെ ന്യായത്തിന്നും വ്യവഹാരത്തിന്നും ജാഗരിക്കേണമേ.

23. Stir up Yourself, and awake to my vindication, To my cause, my God and my Lord.

24. എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ നീതിപ്രകാരം എനിക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചു തരേണമേ; അവര് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ.

24. Vindicate me, O LORD my God, according to Your righteousness; And let them not rejoice over me.

25. അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തില്നന്നായി, ഞങ്ങളുടെ ആഗ്രഹം സാധിച്ചു എന്നു പറയരുതേ; ഞങ്ങള് അവനെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു എന്നും പറയരുതേ.

25. Let them not say in their hearts, 'Ah, so we would have it!' Let them not say, 'We have swallowed him up.'

26. എന്റെ അനര്ത്ഥത്തില് സന്തോഷിയക്കുന്നവര് ഒരുപോലെ ലജ്ജിച്ചു ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോകട്ടെ, എന്റെ നേരെ വമ്പുപറയുന്നവര് ലജ്ജയും അപമാനവും ധരിക്കട്ടെ.

26. Let them be ashamed and brought to mutual confusion Who rejoice at my hurt; Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor Who exalt themselves against me.

27. എന്റെ നീതിയില് പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നവര് ഘോഷിച്ചാനന്ദിക്കട്ടെ. തന്റെ ദാസന്റെ ശ്രേയസ്സില് പ്രസാദിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ മഹത്വമുള്ളവന് എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവര് എപ്പോഴും പറയട്ടെ.

27. Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, 'Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.'

28. എന്റെ നാവു നിന്റെ നീതിയെയും നാളെല്ലാം നിന്റെ സ്തുതിയെയും വര്ണ്ണിക്കും.

28. And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness [And] of Your praise all the day long.
